This restaurant is located in an old historical trading shop from 1852. The food is delicious and plentiful! Stop by to try their infused vodkas. There is also a patio to enjoy the beautiful Austin weather.

So good

Great spot for a casual but well-curated dinner experience. Outdoor seating is comfortable and pretty well ventilated, though there are some pesky birds always on the prowl for popcorn. Staff is kind, and the menu is broad and will satisfy all sorts of tastes. The fried green tomatoes are really remarkable--would come back any day just for those. Chicken and waffles were very good and the portion was quite sizeable. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a nice relaxed dinner with a small group or perhaps a casual date night.

The building itself is very cool and has been put together with great attention to detail. Staff was friendly and warm from the greeters, to the bartenders, to our server, and the gent who brought out the food. All awesome! We had an hour wait on a Monday night but didn t mind because the drinks are great and there is plenty of space to sit and wait outside on the porch. The food is all so good we didn t even have a favorite part. You can t go wrong. Do yourself a favor and check out this spot, it is a standout even among the great food options in Austin.

Delicious southern comfort food! I've been here multiple times and everything is always so fresh and tasty.

I hate it when the servers tell me about the daily specials because I assume that what I had the previous time was the best item they had. I'm sorely mistaken every time! They just keep upping their game! And the servers are awesome, super helpful and polite.

Portions are huge and it's worth the wait if you come at a popular hour. 10/10 will be back again any time I'm in this area.

Holy smokes. This place is excellent. They give you popcorn to snack on (which is a little unusual). Ordered the sweet potato tots and chicken and waffles. Both were excellent. Not unreasonably priced either. One appetizer and one main dish will likely feed two people. Will eat here next time I am in Austin.

Great food and great service - but too dang loud! Our waiter practically had to scream at us to answer our questions.....maybe we'll sit outside of we go back. The blaring music didn't help either .....

This was my first time having fried green tomatoes and it was amazing. I don't know what they put on their popcorn but I was unable to stop eating them. The service was quick and friendly. I would highly recommend going here.

This place has really good Sunday brunch. You may want to get there before 10am though because there tends to be a big line after that. The 3 stars is because outside of Sunday brunch the food is just okay. Also for Sunday brunch there are lines all over the place. :( The way the buffet line is set up is poorly organized, so there is always a bottleneck of people getting various food items. If you do make it out here though, Id recommend the chicken king casserole or the cornflake chicken tenders.

Great food! Fun experience trying the Moonshine flights. Service was amazing! Super friendly and fast. Would definitely come here again. And again. And that's about the best recommendation you can give.

I was super impressed with this restaurant. There was quite a long wait when we got there, but there is plenty of space in the restaurant to hang out while you wait. You can even order a drink or some appetizers while waiting. Once we were seated, the staff was great and the food we ordered came out great. The only downside is parking downtown. Fortunately the restaurant offers valet parking.

Atmosphere is great. Staff is great. Food is great!

Was skeptical that a joint so close to the convention center might serve Tourista food and was pleasantly surprised to find unique, delicious comfort food, world class bourbon selection and one of a kind atmosphere in an 1800 s era building. My favorite: fried green tomatoes...some of the best I ve had n the southern U.S. w delicious shrimp remoulade! The cheesey-grits were also yum. Service was great and hope to get back to explore their whiskies w friends.

I really wanted to like this place given all the great reviews. The ambience was excellent, service was good, but the chicken and waffles just fell flat.

The waffle was cakey, a bit like cornbread, but not as flavorful. Feels like it's trying to be both while succeeding at neither.

The chicken was over-breaded and the breading was pretty bland, relying a lot on the okay dip for any flavor at all. Two thirds of the chicken was also really dry - when combined with the ample breading and cakey waffles, it was super dry overall.

The fish a friend had seemed to be made in a similar fashion and was okay, but relied on the sauce a bit too much too.

Another friend got some creole-style seafood platter and that was actually pretty good.

I realize a lot of people like this place, and that's great. It just didn't work out for me this time.

I've been here more times then I can count on business and fun. It can not be beat for a consistent high quality yet laid back meal. The food is great. Service is awesome. It's worth a visit for sure.

My wife and I were there with a Wyndham weekend party group. We were served appetizers which were very good and there was a buffet that was set up for us. Everything in the buffet was very good and I know because I ate some of everything.

Good Texas Comfort Food and Classic Cocktails in a Historic Setting. I can't think of a better place to bring Family and Friends. Especially for Sunday Brunch. The Valet Parking is well worth it.

We showed up for Sunday brunch at 9am right when they opened. There was a wait, but only about 10 minutes. I guess everyone does the brunch buffet for ~$19. The food was delicious. The main room has breakfast items like migas, scrambled eggs (green chile, chorizo or bacon), king ranch chicken, biscuits and gravy or chicken or steak fingers. There are two smaller buffet lines with lunch items like avacado toast and a breakfast/sweets line with cinnamon rolls, pancakes and bread pudding. The service is very fast, water glasses never got past half full and plates were picked up immediately as you finished your last bite. The vegan options are limited, mostly salad and potatoes. The other downside would be that they don't serve alcohol Sunday until 10 am, so eat slowly so that you can finish off with mimosas!

We ate lunch here and recommend it. There was a short wait but we were fortunate enough to be seated outside. This is a grand old house so the noise inside was really loud. We snagged a table outside where fans kept us cool and the noise was minimal. Our server was warm and friendly. The prices are fair. We both really enjoyed our sandwiches. At the time of our visit the place had road construction that gave us pause. It did not impact our experience. Hopefully the work will be done soon.

I went for brunch to this restaurant; they told us that was 90 minutes waiting, but took 105 before they call us. The table was on the patio, the big fan help with the heat and they venue was nice. The waitress gave the drinks options: all alcohol beverages, when we ask for a non alcohol drink, instead of give us the options, she just brought water. The food at the patio wasn't fresh and the options were really limited, so, we needed to go inside, to have some but the options are really limited... This is the worst buffet in Austin. $20 + tax (no counting the parking or valet) is too much for the poor food that they have
