Food was good. Southern comfort food is the theme. While I had a burger, others in my party had the waffles and chicken which looked amazing and they said had a little kick to the chicken and the shrimp and grits looked good as well. The appetizers were good. Expect a wait for a table. It appears that the place is usually slammed for dinner and doesn't take reservations.

Moonshine has delicious, comfort food in a laid back atmosphere. I've dined at Moonshine 5+ times and I can't remember ever having a dish I didn't love. Everything is delicious. Recommend: Warm Kale and bacon dip, catfish, mac and cheese, hangar steak, and apple crisp skillet

Great food! We had a group of 30-40 people & they were able to accomodate us in a private room. They set up a buffet with a great variety. The staff had great personalities & were so fun! Shout out to Charles!

Definitely the best weekend brunch buffet in town, although it's pricey and there's always quite a wait. Their happy hours are pretty good and reasonably priced. They also have a good sized, separate private room for showers and other parties, that I think fits 30-40 people.

Loved being on the patio. The popcorn is the best table starter of all time, loved the spicy red stuff on top. Our waitress Sam was fantastic. She couldn't be any better if she tried. We decided on the chicken fried steak and the jalapeno hanger steak with pimiento mac and cheese, it was amazing. My hat goes off to the chef. Thank you for the amazing meal on my mom's 58th birthday. We will be back.

Everything tastes amazing and the service was great. Cody provided us with the best food recommendations.
Everyone was social distanced, wearing masks, and courteous. The restaurant was very clean and well kept.

The fact they had seasoned to snack on made my day (since I love it so much). Highly recommend happy hour $5 drinks and discounted appetizers. Pictures is the kale & bacon dip and the fried calamari. Both were amazing, first calamari that was thick and juicy! Brought our dogs with us and the server brought us water as well as the dogs. So thoughtful and will definatley be back

This place gets crowded for a reason!

The parking is street only or valet, you might be lucky to find a spot or you can just give in and do the valet. There is most likely going to be a wait for seating, but it's totally worth it. The brunch time gets the craziest here, so make sure to plan ahead of time and go accordingly.

The food is delicious, I love the pretzel appetizer, and the warm bacon dip are amazing. I think the pretzels should be served with the bacon dip as well. It's the soft pretzel sticks and it's pretty awesome. I recommend getting that for sure. The bring out their house made chips as well and those are delicious too of course. We ordered the chicken and waffles, the mac and cheese, and this pork pork sandwich special that was going on that day. The mac and cheese is really good, but very non-traditional, it has corn in it. But I really enjoyed that one the best. The chicken and waffles were good, but I feel like you can't go wrong there. The chicken are chicken tenders and you get 3 to the order. The pork pork sandwich was my least favorite, but it's not a normal item anyways so I should have known better. The red beans and rice side was really good and flavorful. The seasonal vegetables I felt could have been cooked a little longer, they were still a little raw. The cornbread is awesome just like the house chips. We got the peanut butter moose for dessert and that was amazing, and goodness the portion size on that is crazy for $5! Totally worth it.

The server we had was amazing, she was super nice and very friendly and happy. She had a large table of 15 come in but she was still as attentive as she was before. I definitely give this place 5 stars for service alone. She was awesome, never did my drink go empty. She had an awesome personality. I wish I would remember her name right now but I drew a blank.

I love this place and would highly recommend it to people visiting as well as a place to grad dinner on the regular.

Had the gumbo and sweet potato fries. This was a good portion size. My companion had the macaroni and cheese and couldn't finish, but all was delicious. The vodka lemonade (Tito's; this is Austin after all) was excellent. Being walking distance from the convention center was a big plus.

Mannnn... This place is good. Ok, so first the bad stuff: no reservations means the wait is always kinda bad. We waited 1.5 hours. The bar isn't super cheap, either. Everything else is good: from the calamari to the spicy popcorn to the ribs to the cheesy grits... You're going to love your dinner here, once you get a table.

Delicious food and lovely atmosphere. Kind and helpful staff. The calamari was tender and perfectly fried, the southern belle cocktail was so fresh and fruity, and I loved the horseradish crusted salmon and brussels sprouts.

Friendly staff with a lot of space. Usually there is a lot of people there so advice is to make reservations before you randomly visit the place. The place is famous for grill. There are 3 outside patios and one extra for private parties. Beside they also have 2 bars with high chairs. The place is accessible for the wheel chair users. Enjoy your stay here.

Really enjoyed dining here. Service was excellent and they were accommodating since we brought our two dogs with us. They gave them bowls of water as soon as we sat down. They found us a good table away from people to make us feel at ease. The food was delicious and portions were fair. Would definitely return!

First time here and I'm ashamed to admit this since we're in Austin regularly. Everything was absolutely delicious!! My bourbon slush was by the far the best frozen drink I've had in 2020 and I don't even like Bourbon. I'll be back for sure!!

Everything here was phenomenal! I had the red snapper special and the mac and cheese. I don't think I've had better cheese in my life. I would come back to Austin just to have this food again!

Delicious food. A tasty Blind Mule. Wonderful craft cocktails, great wine and beer list, and what a whiskey selection! And when I was here, the two bartenders were exceptional: friendly, quick and knowledgeable about both the drink and the food!

Oh, and with 3 courses and 3 cocktails it was less $$ than my less-than-average room service last night!!

Great Southern comfort food! We lived in Louisiana for many years, so I was happy to see a couple of Cajun dishes in the menu - I wasn't disappointed. Servings have good sizes and reasonable prices.

Wonderful dining experience in a beautiful setting. Pimento Cheeseburger was delectable. Happy Hour drink specials were on point. Our waitress was kind, attentive and full of great ideas for us to do in Austin. She was very pregnant and had lots of patience. Job well done!
