Great food, busy spot cool indoor and outdoor spaces.

This place was amazing! Atmosphere was good and the cocktails and food were top shelf! It s a must when visiting Austin!

Good mixed drinks and a nice beer selection. Was really cowed the one night I was there but was still able to find a nook to hang in.

Both the welcome and the food were excellent with some unique combinations that worked so well like the chicken and waffles.

Really nice place with nice ambiance. I had the shrimp and grit appetizer which was really nice and then I had the pork chop which was delicious. Super moist and the bourbon peaches were fabulous on top. Would definitely go again. Note that parking is not easy nor free.

I took my girlfriend here for dinner and drinks and we loved it. It has a great atmosphere and they have considerate COVID-19 protocols, including masked employees and well spaced outdoor seating. The food and drinks hit the spot and our server gave great suggestions since it was our first time. The Blind Mule, Chicken Almondine, and Blackened Catfish come highly recommended!

The food was amazing! Our waitress Sonya was exceptional. Great prices and the drinks were delicious as well. Thanks for a good evening in Austin! We will definitely be back if we are ever in town again!

The pork sandwich was good. Chicken fried steak is huge and very tasty, ask them to spice up the gravy if you want some heat.

Good food and prices. Not incredibly loud. Fine for dinner and drinks with friends.

We had dinner here at the bar and were very pleased with our meal. I had the hangar steak which was a perfect medium rare. The seasoning was great and the pepper on top provided a nice amount of heat. My wife has the seasonal special which was a pasta with mushrooms and butternut squash. The butternut squash provided a great pop of flavor. Would recommend this place for sure

Only had dinner, but the food was awesome with good portion sizes. Beer selection was ok. Apparently there's a secret whiskey menu, so maybe ask for that? Dunno....

Great bloody mary. I hate trout, but their trout with the cornbread stuffing is out of this world! Make sure to try the roasted garlic or baked brie. Yummy!

1st time here stumbled across it, 2nd here made a 30 min hike one way to make sure I was able to eat the cornflake curated chicken salad and a hard lemonade... must come!!

Great place with fantastic food in Texas-sized portions. Come hungry and with patience cuz this place es muy popular.

Love the ambiance in every inch of Moonshine. The popcorn to chase away the hangries is just the beginning. All of their cocktails are excellent and so is the food. Make sure to make a reservation or prepare for a wait on busy nights/weekends.

This place is a must if you are in the Austin area. I took my girlfriend for dinner here and we loved it. The food and environment was great. The wait was a bit long but definitely worth the wait. We both really enjoyed the moonshine. The staff was nice and friendly too. You will not be disappointed.

Great food with a cool popcorn started. Their chicken fried steak is supposedly the 3rd best in Texas.

As I am a Celiac, the manager actually came to the table to let me know the chef as well as as the waiter would be working towards delivering a gluten free meal. And the Hanger Steak and grits were fabulous! Thank you so much!

Love, love, love that it's dog friendly!!! The street corn queso is the best. Center cut chop was mouth watering. The service was great and not very pricey! I'll be back next time I'm in Austin.

Jalapeno flank steak and the pan fried chicken are off the hook good! The peanut butter pie is great, but the serving size should be super small.. it is just too rich for the 1/4 pie cut.

Only issue is they do not take reservations. Even Sunday night was packed. They said an hour ten but we were seated in fourty minutes. Very good bourbon selection as well. Id definitely go again.

My wife and I were in Austin for the weekend. We were looking for a good place to eat and enjoy some Bourbon.

Moonshine Grill came highly recommended and exceeded our expectations. You have to try the Chicken and Waffles because they're absolutely the best we've ever had and we've tried them at many restaurants that claimed they had the best. The good news is we finally found the best right here at Moonshine!!

If you're looking for that special Single Barrel Bourbon, then Moonshine Grill is your place and if you're looking for that especially hard to find Van Winkle, well you're lucky because it's in the same place.

We can't wait to go back. See you there!!

Blackened catfish was great. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Lived outdoor patio for nice evening with friends and good food.

Great Birthday dinner with my girls! Amazing food and atmosphere, but most of all we received exceptional customer service. Cody, our waiter was phenomenal. Offered great recommendations, he was so kind and had an excellent attitude!

I ordered the rainbow trout and the Mac and cheese - WOW! Seriously, best I ve had!!

Hands down, this place has the best southern style foods in all of Texas. Coming here I was blown back by how good everything was and having the old homestyle foods we all love!

Still tied for the best Sunday brunch buffet in Austin. A must do for visitors. It's amazing, but do plan on a 20-50 minute wait weekend mornings!

Had a big group dinner last night as we are visiting Austin. By far the place I've been to in Austin. Love the vibe of the restaurant and the food is absolutely amazing. Had the special steak. Also shared shrimp and grits. And calamari as an appetizer. All of it is so delicious!

Just okay American food. Not sure what all the hype is about, there are many better restaurants in the area for less money. The popcorn they put down on the table instead of bread is a good touch though.

A great, unique place. Huge servings and fair prices. Some really innovative food as well, and some old faves. Lots of street parking and a pay-lot very close by. Casual, quirky decor, and friendly staff. Definitely a great place to visit. 4 stars only because service was a bit slow. Would have given 4.5 if that was possible.

It's a cute place, but the food was way too heavy for someone like me that is mostly vegetarian and conscious.

Casual local restaurant & bar. Good quality food. The menu is home cooking favorites, taken a few notches. The cedar planked salmon was excellent. The chicken fried steak came with a very good gravy and excellent mashed potatoes. The apple pie was great. A little slow, but very friendly wait staff. Good value.

Good service. Worst chicken fried steak. Breading stiff and thick with very little meat. Definitely not ur Robert Fulghum's chicken fried steak.

This place is a gem hidden in Downtown Austin! The food was fabulous, the service was exceptional and the choice of bourbons was just perfect. I would definitely recommend trying this place out.

While the food was enjoyable, I don't think it was particularly special for the price. Service was above average, but everyone at my table was sweating due to the high temperature in the restaurant and the lack of shades for the windows was quite evident with the intense sun yesterday.

Great spot - friendly staff. I got the Turkey Press, Iced Coffee and amazing sweet potato fries. Loved the ambience, too!

The staff was excellent, but I was disappointed in the food and the theme. For a restaurant/bar named 'Moonshine', they had much less moonshine and moonshine-related drinks on the menu than they did anything else. Food was average.

Immediately upon entering, we were given seasoned popcorn and water. They also gave a water bowl to our dog as well, so I take it this place is dog friendly. I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was juicy and the service was excellent!

We drive from Houston for this one of a kind restaurant. Honestly, the best food in the entire State of Texas. The history of the building makes enjoying drinks at the bar prior to the meal a pleasure. The staff was fantastic. See you next weekend.

My favorite place to eat while in Austin. Their green chile grits are delish, service is always friendly, and the atmosphere is great.

Food was really good, waitstaff was knowledgeable and friendly. Do yourself a favor and opt for the valet parking - it was 1/2 the price of the self park right beside the restaurant. .....
