Such a shame. This ER used to be a cut above the rest. Now it s a pure joke. Staff is nasty. Doctors are overworked and outright cold. Nurses are jaded and actively ignore patients. I walked out and went to NYP/WC for my injuries. I had several hematomas on my head, and was hit in the stomach several times. I was left to lie in a bed for several hours until my pain and frustration just couldn t allow me to sit and idle anymore. I asked for a patient experience liaison and she as handed a customer service card. Receptionists were on their phone complaining about the computers being down. Nurses and tech were not changing their gloves in between patients. One nurse scratched his nose and eye with a gloved hand and then went and drew someone s blood with the same set of gloves on. I finally decided to speak up. My pain was numbed out by my frustration and anxiety from being ignored and overlooked. That s when the nurse that was assigned to me and a doctor came over. All their apathetic excuses were met with my sheer anger. Downtime is not a joke. You have staff that are lazy and aren t working, your nurses are overworked and angry. You don t ha e enough doctors to meet your needs. I got assaulted by my 16 year old son. My head injuries are blinding me with pain and no one can come and tell me anything besides you have two people ahead of you ???? All I got was silence from them. I went to NYP/WC AND I DONT REGRET IT. ILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.
