Nice resort but this is not a 5 star hotel. The staff is great compliments to them.
The rooms are getting outdated, the showers are quite small 40 inch x 40 inch and they have a small amount of mold growing in them. The TV are small 32 inch and the sound is poor meaning your neighbors have to turn it up loud to hear which means you hear their TV. The walls are pretty thin. The pillows I did not find comfortable. The spa is overpriced $400 for a 90 minute massage after tip. There is a hand and stone massage across the street $130 for 90 minutes. I would recommend them.
A lot of conventions here which takes up all of the reservations and makes the place rowdy. Seemed like a Vegas hotel not a beach resort.
This is not a bad hotel but it is not a 5 star. I would give it a 4 star rating but I gave it a lower rating as it is overpriced for the quality so I gave it 3 stars. I have stayed at other montages and they are 5 stars. Time to do a minor update on this one Montage.

I did not stay at the hotel but there is great snorkeling and skin diving on the coast behind the hotel. It is a great beach.

For a resort where room prices start at $1000/night on a weekend the check in process and the attitude of the front desk staff is deplorable. They are rude, short, and not at all interested in being helpful. Check in time is 4:00 pm and they insist on making sure you don't get into your room until then. At 3:45 I asked the man at the front to call housekeeping to see if our room is ready and he acted like I was asking something outrageous. Then he said, it'll be ready at 4:00. Why do some places think the more expensive they are the more they're doing you a favor by taking your money? It gets worse.

Once in the room I called the front desk to ask a question. I was put on hold for--I kid you not--20 minutes before I hung up. No one returned my call. Dinner for 3 in the hotel restaurant: ordered at 7:30, got our food at 9:00.

Day two: put the sign on my door to have the room made up at 10:00 a.m. At 1:00 p.m., the room wasn't made yet so I called guest services and asked that they send housekeeping. At 5:00 p.m. the room still wasn't made. Called guest services. They apologized and said they'd send someone right away. At 5:45, no housekeeping yet. So I asked to talk to the front office manager.

Kayla made me stand in the front for ten minutes before she finally came out of her office. To say she was condescending, sarcastic, and unhelpful is to be kind. She offered to find out why housekeeping hadn't made it all day" and took off.

Day three: asked for a late checkout, given that it s a Monday and the weekend rush is over. The hotel is half empty. It s the least they can do, given the inconveniences of the stay. What do you think they said? Absolutely not. Asked to talk to the manager. It was, again, Kayla.

Easter Brunch was wonderful and views....well, we were on the beach!

What an amazing hotel the restaurant was brilliant, the view to the sea breathtaking. The town of Laguna was very aristocratic The hotel and town are very clean and super friendly.

If you have the means, you simply must stay at the Montage. Beautiful views, amazing resort facility, top notch staff all make the experience worthwhile.

What an amazing place! From the valet to the bus boy, everybody was absolutely amazing! The view out the back was breathtaking and very beautiful. Our server was extremely nice, helpful, and knowledgeable of all the drinks and food items. I could not have asked for a better evening. I will definitely be back again.

Had a great 1 hour massage for my wife and I's birthday

It is good to take pictures and lovers can go. It is so beautiful to make a good garden.

Absolutely beautiful and the staff is off the charts,the grounds are impeccable and the food at every restaurant there is amazing.

Slightly obnoxious valet / there if one is not staying there. But simply having supper!

We visited the resort for a wedding. The facilities were absolutely stunning, the grounds unbelievable. The beach was also so lovely and seconds away!

The lifeguards are sure active here I've not seen one sit down at a tower all day. #Methinks the hotel gives them extra to be vigilant.

We stopped here for a quick visit to the beach. We stayed for about three and a half hours and parking cost us $25. At least the beach was clean

One of the greatest hotels I always go to. The only thing is disgusting and ruined my day is the valet parking. There is a guy named" David" he works for the valet parking. what a stupid little guy who doesn't respect other customers. I paid for the valet, and he was yelling at me to move, what is wrong with you idiot!!!!!!! Don't hire kids to take our cars. I am not coming there again because of this.

This place is definitely a hidden wonder. You won't see what the resort has to offer till you walk inside. The inside is very tricky to navigate as well, but it is a place that you would definitely enjoy being lost in. The service is amazing with a concierge desk to assist your every needs.

My review is for The Loft restaurant. Montage is always a stop for me if I'm in Laguna. Although I must say as of my last visit the wine list (which historically consisted of lots of Boutique California wines that you just didn't see on other menus. Now it's just all blue chip standard wine list and) is now significantly smaller. Food...Awesome. View...Insane

Aesthetically pleasing and very inviting atmosphere

If there was an ideal place to have a picnic, photo shoot, or just paddle board on beryl seas this is "Zion." Art here is dreamy and is part of the elegant signature of the Montage.

Public parking is available off of Pacific Coast Highway. Walkways offer expansive views of the ocean. Benches are placed among succulent s for hugs and handholding with your loved one.

"The Studio" on property is a dining experience with ocean breezes and world class dining. Suites or hotel rooms are available in the multi- hundred-dollar range---dreams are made here.

Everyone was so nice... from when we pulled in to the moment we left. The view is breathtaking! From the moment you walk in the lobby you can see the ocean. Lunch at The Loft was delicious and staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be returning to stay for a few days!

Very nice with some awesome views. Not sure about the rooms but the entry way was amazing and the view from the main lobby over the colorful pool and out to the Pacific Ocean was spectacular. Valet was very kind and we even got a discount for going to the restaurant.

A true sanctuary, this hotel defines best in class customer service. They will great you at the door and somehow already know who you are and be ready to take you to your room. The property is beautiful as well. A true VIP, elegant experience.

The Montage Laguna Beach is a first-class Resort. I truly mean it a second to none in the area. From the moment that they greet you as you pull up, to the amazing view, to the quaint but luxurious design and layout of the whole compound, the place is amazing. My most recent visit was a bit of an anomoly to say the least, but that is not the fault of the facility or its staff. If you have the resources to go there, make it happen. Well done Montage.

This is an excellent hotel choice. While it may be a little pricey, it is VERY nice. The rooms are great but the service is top notch. Definitely would recommend if you don't mind paying a pretty penny.

This place was beautiful but don't expect to be accommodated. If you're ok with a short pour glass of wine in a plastic cup for $17.50 you'll be golden.

This place has amazing views. I can't comment on the hotel itself since I wasn't staying there. I was just visiting and walking around it.

I have gone to just about every beach in the area and this is by far my favorite. It is extremely well kept and utterly beautiful. Beach access/restrooms open to public.

Good food and service. Only had one suggestion; the restaurant staff should ask patrons if they need their parking stub validated. It is $15 for parking; however if u get validation then no payment necessary.

Underground parking if you come early, street parking across the road. Beautiful scenery, not crowded when we came here. Good visibility for April, family friendly.

Staying at The Montage in Laguna Beach was incredible. My husband and I woke up everyday to the most astounding views and felt very relaxed the whole time. The beach/pool area is gorgeous! The food was wonderful and the overall experience was romantic to say the least. We will never forget our trip here. Highly recommend!

Just returned home from a wonderful Mother's day weekend at the Montage. Upon arrival you are greeted by ffriendly valet staff and a bell hop. Check in was a breeze, everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Our room was very clean and spacious. We had a view of the ocean and the lush gardens surrounding the hotel. We ordered room service and they informed of us ahead of time that they were busy but our food arrived hotand delicious. The next day we went exploring at the beach located a few steps below the hotel. It was very clean and beautiful. Later we took the children to the pool area, so happy they had a kiddie pool very accommodating for young children and it was heated which was a plus for the 60degree weather. The children enjoyed seeing the hawk flying around. The hotel was beautiful and it was very accomdating since it was across the street from a drugstore and grocery store. I would recommend this hotel

Treasure Island beach is beautiful and super accessible.
