Excellent service and selection. Make sure to come by Friday or latest at opening on Saturday. That's when the new items and plants come in and the good stuff goes. Oh yes there will be a crowd but it makes it more fun. Just remember to make a reservation, suggested during the pandemic, and be safe.

Its a great local garden store, with yard supplies and outdoor furniture as well. It's huge with tons of varieties of plants. We have never bought a plant that hasn't been healthy and well maintained. The selection options are massive, and the plants do great. The reason however for my 4 star review is the price, and lack in some areas. Everything is significantly more expensive than you would get at another store, so if you want a cheap plant to spruce up your yard, and don't mind replacing plants when they die, somewhere else would be better for your wallet. My other complaint is a lack of fruit trees. They have a few, but not the variety I would like. That said, the only reason this is a problem is because they have so much variety, when you are there you expect to be able to buy every plant/tree you could ever want.
Holy heck, I love Molbak's. Coming here is it's own fun outing, never-mind the fact that I'm just here to pick up some plants. The store is laid out with rows upon rows of botanical possibilities, and I think of a new whole list of possible project ideas every time I go here.
I've bought seeds, bulbs, succulents, annuals, perennials, bushes, potted trees, bare root trees, just straight up roots. I've bought gloves, compost, seed mix, soil, hummingbird feeders, pots. I've been happy with all of my purchases and keep coming back.
The staff is also super knowledgeable and helpful. Eager to give gardening advice and point a notice in the right direction.
Only negative is that it is pretty pricy, but that is the cost of a well maintained brick-and-mortar store with a huge selection. I think it's worth it, and I'm sure to keep coming.
I absolutely love this place, it has everything! Yes it is a bit overpriced but they carry everything! Just walking through it sets the mind at ease and you get such a peaceful feeling. I love just going to look at the green and blooming plants. What a wonderful place, wished it was closer to my home!
Way too outrageously expensive. They wanted $12.00 for a large plastic tray to catch water under a houseplant...I went to the hardware store down the road and bought the exact same thing for $2.99. Dumb. But they do take good care of their nursery stock.
Right now they are allowing shoppers by reservation and requiring masks. Everyone was respectful and they kept distance. Excellent selection, and really nice with small crowds right now.
Had what I needed. Wasn't too crowded (make a reservation for Friday or Saturday!) Spoke to an expert about what i needed and got back home to work on the project!
Love Molbak's. Over priced but usually has a very good selection and some unique finds. The gift shop is never disappointing either. February might not be the best time to shop for bonsai though. Went in today looking for one for my husband for Valentine's Day and the selection was dismal. Second disappointing experience in 18 years. The other was catching them on a day when they were low on air plants. Usually have a great selection of regulars and rarely if ever seen varieties.
A bit pricey but have been shopping Molbaks for years. Their care of the nursery is awesome! I have never rec,d a plant from there that didn't last. Even if you don't want to buy anything it is a great place to just peruse.
What a great store/nursery! My wife and I love coming here for all our home and garden needs. From fruit trees, to indoor plants malbaks has everything you want and everything you didn't know you need! Dogs are welcome as well. There is a nice care I side for a quick bite or a coffee as well. The staff is very helpful and will go above and beyond to make sure all questions are answered and needs are met! They also have great seasonal displays for when the holidays come around! Five stars all around.
It's an adventure going here, not a typical stop at all, you can get lost in this store for hours, once you get past the sticker shock on prices (it aint cheap) you realize how well curated everything is and what a great selection they have, and for seasonal items this place is a gem.
Molbak's is always a joy to visit, especially during this unprecedented time we are in. Reservations are necessary to shop, so be sure and get details. Enjoy your visit!
People go to Nordstroms and pay more and why? because you get quality. Go to the supermarket for plants it is cheap, and a few weeks later you have to buy again, because the plants been already DOA on arrival so where is the savings.?? CHEAP IS VERY EXPENSIVE. also;; Molbak's provide a place to relax. refresh your senses, sit and admire, and then take some of that beauty home and enjoy. I go there when my day is anything but good. try it you will love it.
I love this place so much! The staff there are so friendly and helpful. They are very resourceful with any garden related and other garden work related stuff. I highly recommend to anyone to go visit and check them out even if you're not in the area. The summer time is the best time, they have so many gardening selection for anyone that loves gardening.
Molbak's Garden And Home has everything for the garden from plants to furniture to decorations. If you couldn't care less about your garden, they have your back too. Great decorations for the home from a small selection of furniture to art, cookbooks, specialty clothing, handbags, lotions, and soaps. There's really too much to list.
Do you love Christmas? Oh, the you HAVE TO go to Molbaks during the Christmas season. It's a Christmas wonderland with dozens of decorated trees, the largest and most diverse Christmas decorations I've come across in the Puget Sound area and atmosphere, atmosphere, atmosphere.
Getting back to the garden. I grow a multitude of tomatoes every year, I buy all my starts from Molbaks because their cultivar selection rivals most seed catalogs! For perrenials there's no better place and they have all the new varieties as well as the best of the old staples. Do you like roses? Oh baby, do they ever have the roses. As far as bare root shrubs and trees in February, they have a better selection than anywhere else.
Selection is great, I love seeing everything they have that is new on each visit. You have to come around the holidays to get a poinsettia here they are the best in the area and so many beautiful varieties.
I loved Molbak's Garden + Home. I just wish I was a millionaire so I could afford the stuff in it! Lordy, where do you even start in this place? It is huge and seems to go on forever!! It probably took me and my mom over an our to stroll through Molbak's and we probably didn't even see everything! They have TONS of great gifts! If you have a minimum of $100 to spend on one gift, you have got some options here, just a few. If you have $20 to spend on someone, you might be able to afford a pad of paper, or a card... maybe a scarf, or a bar of soap. I fell in love with a beautiful wall mirror, but was not prepared (or willing) to spend $595! They did have a pet section too, which I loved! A huge selection of gifts, leashes, treats, collars... it was like a "Paddywack pet store" inside a nursery! They have this awesome dog house on display, and it was in the neighborhood of $1,400-$2,000 I can't remember. It was amazing though!! (See business pics, I uploaded the dog house!) Like I said they have tons of great things but it is definitely an "Eastside" retail location, everything is very pricey! The one thing that was worth while here, they had a container sale; buy one get one free "BOGO"!! So a large pot for $125, turns into 2 pots for $125... which makes for one heck of a bargain! THEIR ONLY BARGAIN!! ;)
I could literally spend hours here. (I think I have actually.) There's SO many plants to look at! The little coffee stand/food counter is great too. I love the seating area. It is a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it. Selection is great, people are nice and helpful and you can bring your dog!
I love this place. Plant variety is fantastic. The quality is also better than other shops. The quality of the artificial plants is phenomenal. Gift shop is also great. Yes, everything is more expensive than other places, but it costs to take good care of the plants.
For quick seasonal stuff, I get from national chains. However, for key or special items, I prefer Molbak s or Swanson s.
The picture is of the fake plant that I bought at Molbak s. It was over $30 (in 2017) but I tried to find something for three months. I could not find anything that looked good. Even the poor-quality fakes were going to cost me about $20. I went back for this baby and have not regretted... even a year later.
It sits right by front door. I wanted a real plant but could not keep plants alive at that location. I kept forgetting about the plant since we come and go through garage.
The store itself is wonderful, although prices are higher than other garden stores/nurseries.
However, their phone service proved to be incredibly problematic. Service in person was good, but I wasn't treated particularly well when I was calling.
First time there, a lot to see. High prices, decided to purchase a couple of tea cups, they rang up on sale so I said "oh that's nice their on sale" then the cashier said nope sorry about that they shouldn't be... I was well you should honor it, Thata be nice, she said sorry can't do that. I said so this was a poor first experience. She was like "oh well".
I came here the other as I was in need of some greenery for my apartment. I was extremely delighted with the range in offer and the service provided by the staff. They answered all my question and helped me selecting the plants for my place. They have a lovely cafe and a home decoration place which makes the experience even more enjoyable. This is a place I ll be coming all the time.
We both had the quich. It wasn't as flakey and delicious as in the past. My friend spoke with one of the ladies at the counter, thinking they would like to know. That was not the case, the young lady could not have cared. Oh well, many other places too eat at in the area.
Pet friendly, great food and educated staff - you can't go wrong!
The atmosphere, selection and quality if this store is incredible. I had two employees help me - both extremely helpful and knew what I was looking for, where it was and answered all my questions. I would recommend anyone who has any plant concerns or projects, indoor or outdoor, to head to Molbak's. I will definitely be returning in the near future.
I love this place. Rainy days under the tin roof are my favorite happy place. Xmas isn't complete until I've had coffee and Kringle. The prices are high and I don't buy common plants there, but for the special items... You can't beat MOLBAKS!!!
I found myself in the area and wanted to check out a nearby plant store. This place was overwhelming but in an amazing way! The selection of plants, pots, pot stands and other items excited my plant mom heart. I went in there for potting soil and ended up wandering around for an hour. The two employees who helped me with my selection were welcoming and professional. If I find myself in the area in the future, I will definitely stop by!
My mom is a huge Department 56 fan. There was recently a signing event. My mom is too sick to travel to the store. I called and Janet went above and beyond. I was able to purchase some pieces over the phone and Janet made sure they got signed and then shipped them to my mom. They came overnight and my mom was so happy she cried! THANK YOU!
A must-visit during Christmas season! My family loves to stop by at least once every December to check out the decorations, look for cool ornaments and to buy some Danish Kringles! Molbak's is always clean and has incredibly friendly, knowledgable staff. There are also several cool spots for family photos, and carolers a-caroling (yep, you guessed it, at Christmas-time). The Woodinville location can't be beat, but one day it would be great if they re-striped their parking lot..it's a bit choatic during weekends.
Amazing store! There are so many beautiful things! This is must see place in Woodinville! During the Christmas time they have amazing decorations! Highly recommend this place!
Rude, overpriced, same selection at the Home Depot down the street. Twice I visited this store with the intention of buying $300+ worth of gardening supplies and plants. Both times I left after staff was rude, went down the street to the Home Depot and got everything I needed there for half the price and without the rudeness. Not going back. This is why small businesses fail.
Such a lovely store! They have an amazing selection of plants and lots of Christmas decorations and things that will make awesome presents (candles, soaps, etc). The employees were super helpful and friendly as well! And it's dog friendly too:)
Biggest selection for gardeners around! Best place to buy Christmas ornaments and bring the kids to see Santa and his sleigh. My only con is that it is super expensive.
This review is for my Mom... we used to walk hand in hand up and down the aisles when I was a kid. I used to pick the fallen fuchia blossoms up off the ground and collect them in one of those little foldy boxes.
Raul from Molbaks did my flowers for my wedding. Even though I can hardly remember being married - I still remember those beautiful flowers and the great service he provided me!
Molbaks has a bit of everything, including a knowledgable staff who are always handy to point you in the right direction!! Its a fun place for just a stroll or a serious day of shopping!
Such a great experience! We purchased a pot that was not a good fit for the plant we had, but we had taken the tags off. We went back the following day and they were all so kind and willing to help us exchange it! They have a great selection and a wonderful atmosphere!
Nice nursery. They have a lot of home decor items and a nice selections of house plants. most 4 inch pots are $8.99. The larger 6 inch hanging pots are around 24.99. Lots of cute pots They have lots of pothos, some nice pepperomias, succulents, carnivorous plants, Chinese evergreens, some really pretty marantas, snake plants, and some nice rhipsalis.
I really like this place. The Christmas shop has a lot of good stuff, I've been going for years. I would advise going on a weekday in the early day to avoid the crowds, as close to December 1st or before as possible. It gets very busy the closer to Christmas. I sadly had to go on a Sunday this year and it was still good, but felt a little picked over. I agree with the other reviewer about the many many dogs. I don't love that, as I am also allergic. I enjoy the free coffee and pastry samples provided.
Hoity Toity as my boyfriend calls it. It's home decor, luxury soaps and lotions, gifts for all the ladies in your life and a true nursery with educated professionals who work their and guest speakers such as our locally renown Cisco the Master gardener. Take a girlfriend or your mother for an afternoon or a day.browsing their large selection of home and garden items.
I bought 2 plants at Molback's and repotted them, only to find that they were both extremely root bound. If I had not purchased them from a top quality nursery, I would not have been surprised, but THE Molback's?? No.
I called and spoke with the manager, and she told me it was to be expected since I had bought the plants in July. I suggested that, if Molback's knew the plants were no longer first-quality, there should have been a sign stating that fact or a markdown on the price. She told me I could bring them back for a refund--no compensation for the long drive or the fact that I had already repotted them and would need to take them out of my pots for the return.
Molback's could take a lesson from REI on customer service.
Every employee exudes Customer Service. Experts readily available to answer any plant or garden question. Mulbecks quality of service and selection is well know ran into clients who'd driven over from Chellan to buy their plants
I could walk around Molbak's for hours and look at all the colorful plants and seasonal items. One of my favorite things to do is visit when the Halloween and Christmas stuff comes out.
