Was treated rudely by a cashier . Inquired whether she would be willing to markdown a figurine that was damaged. Made me feel like I was asking something very unusual and she wasn t very kind. I didn t mean to overstep, I was just asking because it was damaged and thought maybe they would reduce it.

Four of us waited ten minutes in line to check out with multiple purchases while one employee was on the phone, and a security guy just stood there. Finally I suggested the security guy call another checkout person. Unacceptable in an otherwise classy place.

The place is very good lucking, great variety of plants, nice garden stuff. The only problem is that this place is very expensive. In average any plant that I picked cost around 18 dollars, medium to small size plants I refer. I bought a tiny cactus for 7 dollars.

I love this place! Molbaks is an awesome place to go to if you want to get different high quality plants and learn about how to take care of them. I dinged a star, because they are super pricey. I can only afford to buy plants there once a year, but I go all of the time to enjoy the scenery.

OVERPRICED! One tomato plant costs $30. Similar sizes at Home Depot or Lowe's are $20 and Walmart $15. Neon pothos Fred Meyer sells a bigger size at $12.99; Molbak's sells it for $25 and some of them even look a little beat up. For the prices here, I would expect to see plants with premium quality and care; however, it is usually not the case...

Good selections overall but I would only come here for plants that I could not find anywhere else locally.

Fantastic selection and quality with good service. Prices are higher but you get what you pay for. Their general merchandise and pots I would buy elsewhere. Been coming here for over 20 years and it's still a favorite.

I saw some people say that Home Depot is a better/cheaper alternative. I was curious so I dropped by a few Home Depots - while their outdoor plant selection is good (though a fraction of the selection), the indoor plants was a joke (small selection of succulents and other cheaper plants I've never heard of). Not much of an alternative, I still feel that Molbaks is a far better spot.

This place is AWESOME! I have never been to such an expansive indoor garden center. There is even an area to eat in the middle. If you are there around Christmas, check out the 'Christmas Story' town display.

Once my favorite place to go for garden items.

Once my favorite place to go for garden items.
Now only 2nd or 3rd choice.
Biggest problem for me is that veggie starts (esp. corn) are often completely out even in "prime time" for starting a vegetable garden (e.g., in May).
Last year I stopped by several times to find each time that they were out of starts.
I took to calling which saved me a trip but in the end, after several "No not now. Maybe next week..." I gave up and went to Medina. (Which I recommend as smaller and more personal).

A medium sized nursery well staffed with friendly experts, Molbak's is a good place to turn to when you need some advice or are looking for inspiration. Conveniently located in downtown Woodinville, shopping and food options are relatively close by after you've worked up your appetite browsing the bright and airy nursery grounds.
Thus far all the plants we've purchased from here have been healthy and parasite-free.

A solid 4.5 star establishment.

Pros:
+ Knowledgeable, approachable, and available staff
+ Ample parking in a convenient location
+ Healthy plants
+ Clean
+ Logical layout
So-so's:
= A bit pricey
Cons:
- None

This is a favorite stop no matter what the season. They always have beautiful things displayed, not just plants, but all sorts of items. The staff is very helpful and well informed if you do have a plant question. I love the gift shop as it has unique and high quality items.

No Common Sense Here! Just visited the Christmas display shop. It was a very busy afternoon, lots of shoppers and seen easily 10 dogs from 6 inches to 4 feet tall (yes, 4 feet tall)? Honestly, I don't know what people are thinking, but if the nursery allows dogs, fine take them to the outdoor section, not the indoor breakable ornament section. We even saw a labradoodle try to jump on a lady passing by (she wasn't engaging the dog, it just lunged at her). In less than an hour me and my daughters allergies were at an all time high, we were all stuffed up and sneezing like crazy. Then as we were standing in line at the cashiers, a woman watched her daughter tear beads off of an ornament so she could jab her finger into it, I guess because it was spongy????? What the heck, this place is a zoo, not a high end gift shop as it appears and prices dictate. We came to enjoy a leisurely holiday girls afternoon out to get into the holiday spirit and left incredibly stressed out. If this place wants to allow their establishment to be a dog park, then staff should at least be policing poor customer behavior. This place even has a restaurant ~ I wouldn't eat there with that many dogs around. Come to enjoy the petting zoo, forget about coming to shop in a relaxing, dog hair free environment.

It's a fun place to check out. I'd only buy a specialty plant here if it's not available elsewhere because they are expensive. Non-plant items are way overpriced! The staff are friendly and helpful.

Molbak's Garden + Home has a wide selection of healthy plants. Great merchandising makes it really easy if you don't have an eye for design. The plants are healthy and hearty. My favorite however, is their selection of Agave's and Cacti!

All of the staff is knowledgeable and always more than happy to answer any questions you have. Furthermore, they walkout always walk you to the section you are looking for rather than just pointing you in the right direction.

This might have been because it's between seasons. But I was shocked by the lack of garden decor in such a large place. Their social distancing measures are really great, and their plant selection is decent. A little on the expensive side. It's really a nice place to go and look around. I just wish there was a larger variety of indoor plants and garden decor.

The variety of plants is amazing! People there are very knowledgeable and friendly. We ate lunch there and all of us were disappointed in our food. Otherwise it was a great experience and we'll be back!

Their staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable! We came in with some completely random questions about bonsai and they were on top of it. Very good quality plant starts in the spring, too.

A bit old-lady kitschy, and not a lot of nontraditional plant selections. A lot of overpriced stuff, but a whole lot of it. However, I visited after Christmas, and I suspect that was the worst time to visit.

Definitely worth a visit, but I was not blown away by the selection of plants. I would come back for the orchids though.

I think Bark and Garden in Olympia is still the best one I've been to thus far.

Visited during stay at home orders and they are a delight. You have to reserve a spot right now, for safety reasons, but once inside there are tons of outdoor/indoor plants. Their inside area has dining available and a bunch of niche items like jellys, backpacks, furniture, etc. Definitely going back after quarantine is lifted to get the whole experience

Molbak's condones racial discrimination by its employees. My Asian mother was simply asking for assistance from an employee to which the employee stated (in front of many other customers) "I don't speak your language". After my mother's attempt to ask her again and ignore the blatantracial bias the employee simply walked away and left her standing there, publicly humiliated. The management at Molbak's feels that it was simply a misunderstanding and that it provides their employees a learning experience. The employee suffered no consequences. Apparently publicly humiliating and discriminating against asians is no big deal to this company.

Molbak's is an absolute delight. They pretty much always have what I want, even though they're smaller than some nurseries. Houseplants, landscaping plants, garden plants and starts, you name it. Also have a big selection of pots. Really nice environment. Their cafe is in a spot with a literal tree growing in the middle. And their staff was very helpful when I brought in a leaf from a sick plant that I'd gotten from them a whole year ago (I made the plant sick, not them). My one complaint is that their prices are so high. But honestly it's worth going anyway, it's such a fun place to shop.

Great place for plants and plant accessories. Also a good place to kill some time wandering the greenhouses and get plant/gardening advice from people who actually know what they're talking about.
