Mantralaya is the administrative headquarters of the state government of Maharashtra in South Mumbai, built in 1955. Mantralaya was earlier known as Sachivalaya. The headquarters of most State Governments in India are called Secretariats.

This is legislative Assembly of Maharashtra. Mumbai is capital of Maharashtra and there are numbers of government office including this. All legislative elective members are setting in it and represent their areas.

Layout is a bit disorganised, especially the annex building but the new building is magnificent.

This is best place.There is newly constructed government buildings.Well architect.Liked this .

The office space is huge... A high security zone.. The place is organised.. And ofcourse very busy premises.. I went there as witness for my friends wedding.. The register marriage as per Christian marriage act is done in registrar's office here.. However, the process is lengthy.. The place is good.. I mean was going to such place for the first time...

When I visited ,this place was littered with debris.Interior on 6th floor is unimpressive considering that this is the seat from where maharashtra is administered. Staffs were nice to me.

They say corruption is not there, but neither the mantralaya or CM himself still aware of what difficulty a common citizen still goes through to avail services or licenses, for small licenses they take months to year, how many rounds does one has to go to their office?, very very disappointing such bad experiences give bad name to all, not happy at all.

Wll clean place, there is 3 entry and exit gate, if u want to come here for any work, come after 2 pm and compulsary bring ur ID card issued by Goverment only.

This Ministry has very well maintained & clean surrounding.
Apart from that, very high level security is deployed here.
To visit you should carry 1 ID Proof.
Working Staffs are also very well & Helpful as per my experience.

Citadel for big 'settings' in Maharashtra. Unimpressive building and unimpressive people working inside it. Below average canteen food, congested cabins for the departments and senior officers. For common people, having id proof, entry is after 2pm(?)... kind of maze for novice... Big potential to develop Maharashtra but greedy people only thinks about easy money...
