I stayed for a few months at this hotel and was pleased with my stay. In fact, the only thing I can complain about at the hotel was that the staff is sometimes overly helpful and friendly. Other than that, great internet, delicious food, and overall a great experience. If you have an option, stay on the west side of the hotel as there is construction on the east side (in 2012-2013).

City Center Mall is a 10-15 minute walk away

Very nice Hotel, good size room, good amenities. Helpful pleasant staff. Breakfast was good with large choice and egg station in operation. Dinner held in same place and was a buffet, we paid a lot for not much as we werent very hungry, only bother if you're going to get your money's worth.

We haven't been at the hotel,we just dined at the fork knife restaurant. The hotel entrance and fisrt impression were bellow average. And the restaurant shouldn't been listed as a fine dining service.

The location was excellent, staff incredibly helpful and friendly, great wifi, and wonderful breakfast.

The website is very special and the service is also flawed but the process of logging out took more than one hour

I have been living here on 8th floor for about a month... I have found this hotel excellent in terms of services and offers provided... Swimming pool, Gym and food is very good...The rooms are very comfortable... Specially the house keeping service and staff are excellent, polite and hardworking... Thumbs up buddies...

Stayed here for a layover, cozy rooms with excellent staff.

I am very satisfied .... and the hotel room was cleaned well every day. The bedding was changed every day. Delicious every time in a clean bed. The staff are also very friendly. If you treat them with respect, they will also treat you with respect. Good service. Top

Not so modern anymore that the room started to stink from 11pm in the evening. (Not sure about the ventilation or whatever) It does not have a welcoming lobby where you can drink something cozy. The room itself was big enough, the kids had a connecting door which they thought was cool. The bathroom but you have seen, that it was a bit old. On the whole it was ok! Next time we go to the W Hotel!

The staff are great. Swimming pool has a very strong odor of chlorine and the staff in the swimming pool are getting the towels right after using it and not allowing us to bring in our rooms. My children are wet and cold!!!

I am using the Hotel in a weekly bases and like everything: Location, friendly staff, food and other facilities and only have one comment the Pillows are vey very soft ( I know some people may like this luxurious ones)
but for me, even the staked 4 Pillows over each other will not be high enough to rest so I have to adjust the height by using some towels I tried 2 times to ask for another Pillow type, but the other alternative is so hard

Excellent food. Congratulations to the chef and all the kitchen staff. Thank you very much for the Halloween dinner. A lot of work that made our night happy.
Overall the entire staff was very friendly and helpful.

The place is very nice and I have stayed there before and on my visit to Doha again I returned to him without hesitation but I booked using the dial and was booked without breakfast and when I arrived at the hotel I asked the employee to add breakfast and said that was not available !!

I ve been going there for the past 2.5 years and it has always been pleasant! The staff is so welcoming, the rooms are spacious and the room service/dine in is DELICIOUS! With two coffee shops opening downstairs, the hotel now has different options of hang out spots if you don t feel like leaving the place.

Also, shoutout to Panda at the reception, thank you for ALWAYS being so sweet and welcoming!!

It was my second time celebrating my birthday in this hotel and the service just keeps on getting better. The staffs were very friendly and welcoming. I would like to commend Ms. Mariel Nicholas the most for the wonderful arrangements through out the years. Great job to the team! Will surely come back.

Meets the basic 5 star hotel criteria but doesn't go above and beyond

Tried their indoor restaurant by the reception. Delicious Lebanese food & good shisha with a reasonable price.

Overall, an ok experience. There were a few points that made my family and I uncomfortable.

1. There was a buzzing sound in our room coming from one of the other floors. It was very annoying especially during the early hours of the morning. I was not able to sleep properly because of this. We brought this to the attention of the staff who could hear it as well but didn't know where the noise was coming from.

2. The room was not very clean. As soon as we arrived into our room, we noticed a strange stain on the ottoman. We alerted staff and asked them to remove the ottoman from the room. Also, on my second day, i found a finger nail on the floor which didnt belong to us. We mentioned this to the reception when leaving.

3. The staff at Forknife were too busy and seemed tired at the breakfast buffet. Barely any smiles - not exactly how you would like to be welcomed first thing in the morning! Although i understand there was a huge number of other guests in the hotel at the time owing to an event, perhaps a few more staff would help ease the load on the others?

Other than this, the view from the room was amazing, the indoor heated pool was fantastic, and the food was healthy and delicious.

Few tweaks, and this could have been a memorable stay!

Very modern hotel. My stay at the hotel was very nice but at check-in I was not told what activities you could do in the hotel and what was included in the price. There was no WiFi in the room.

Way beyond imaginations .......... International cuisine and very friendly hosts

Hotel room was very nice for the price. I did pay extra to have a bay side view and it was only partially obstructed by another hotel, but otherwise great to have. We had a corner room and we have 3 big windows to look out of each morning. The existing pillows were not to my taste but your could easily contact housekeeping to get any style of pillow that you needed. The bathroom was very nice and the shower had a nice rain showerhead as well as an additional attachment head. All staff very really nice and helpful. Concierge provided many recommendations to nearby locations that we could have fun and relax. The city tour organized by the hotel was very well done and the tour guide was very helpful in recommending locations and giving us cool facts about the city. The hotel itself was very beautiful and easily recognizable from across the bay in the silhouette of the skyline.

Tour and rental car information was outdated. Rental car locations did not exist and hotel staff sent us(walking) without verifying that they existed and that cars were available. Restaurant information was outdated and we went walking around the hotel looking a restaurant that got replaced. Tche Tche Cafe on the first floor was not the best dining experience and the food was sub-par, especially for the price. The food quality was not inline with the price range. Wifi was slow and while we were looking up locations to go see and research information about them, the pages took awhile to load and in some cases it was faster to use cellular data instead.

Cospa is very good. Gym and pool are also satisfactory. There is no restaurant where you can drink beer, so be careful!

Bad Hotel There is a strange smell in the rooms and it has a negative effect on breathing

Beautiful views of the buildings and the sea.
And their buffet is to die for!

Pretty boring I would say, very little to do here.

The hotel is fine, but the restaurant on the ground floor is very bad. The breakfast very correct, and the service very good too.

Friendly staff, good food, nice room and a decent gym

Not my first stay. The staff's professionalism and hospitality is always above reproach. Look forward to my next stay ( with multiple rooms again) next month or the month after. The upgraded rooms were AMAZING. Plenty of room. Def an amazing HOTEL experience.

Had an amazing stay. The room was awesome. Exceeds our expectations. All the staffs are really nice. Will definitely return back and recommend to my friends.

They were very helpful to balance our late check in with our free late check out request!
No alcohol drink serves in this hotel, even a beer!
They have complimentary shuttle service that is operational 24 hours departing from and to airport-hotel on hourly basis, however they where late on picking us from the airport up.
Their massage services was really good!
My room was located in floor 24 with partial see view and always the noise of the wind was a problem!

Hi. I really enjoyed my honeymoon trip at Movenpick hotel west bay Doha, Qatar. I am impressed by the hospitality of the staff, especially the lady receptionist Miss Monika, who made a note of our "honeymoon" trip and then the "guest Relations team", who executed a surprise plan to wish us. We were upgraded to the Executive room, which was an excellent gesture from the staff. Some things which can be improved are:
1- Airport transfer shuttle service: Three days before my trip, I talked to the hotel reception as well as sent an email having my itinerary, but still when we reached, no one was there to pick us which was embarrassing for me in front of my newlywed spouse. I went to information desk and they talked to the representative. After all the things, we left for the hotel after a wait of around an hour.
2- Housekeeping: When we checked into our room, the Washroom was dirty and the Muslim shower was out-of-order. It was made in order after my complaint.
3- Executive Lounge: Extremely UNSATISFACTORY experience. Most of the time, they continued the same items of breakfast for the whole day. They don't replace the items and most of the time nothing was present in the lounge. Sometimes I didn't find a plate there, and often, dirty/used plates were there which were still present when we go again after 4-5 hours. "English breakfast" tea bags, after getting emptied, were not replaced till TWO days. They didn't pay heed to any complaints either.
My overall experience is good, but if you can only improve the Lounge services, the experience can become excellent.

I was assigned a room on the eighth floor while I requested a high floor.
The view from the window was only of a building under construction.
The yard also carried out work at night with annoying noises.
Concrete mixers that discharge cement at night. Unpleasant.
The restaurant was a buffet and the cost is very high for this type of service. 330 QR for a dinner for two people. I'm sorry.
