My partner and I are getting married here in June, the venue is perfect and the staff are friendly and helpful. We recently went to have our menu tasting and the cauliflower soup was divine. All the food was cooked to perfection and the service was second to none. I recommend this place to everyone looking for a little treat

Fabulous place to rest and recuperate. Lovely warm sitting rooms, swimming pools. Restaurant, diner, massage, exercise facility etc etc ....

Very impressed with refurbishment and additional areas now provided..staff in reception and restaurant all very helpful and friendly.
Was not impressed at all with massage , we booked a package deal and I feel like we were given a very mediocre service maybe due to that. More faffing around putting oils on wrists and feet and warm flannels than actual massage. Just when I thought it was about to start properly.. It ended! Will not be booking any treatments on further visits.

The resort is in a beautiful natural environment, luxury accommodation, cuisine delicious. The daughter had a wedding there, so we only stayed for two days, so we missed all the services offered.

A lovely relaxing day, the staff were super helpful. Special mention for Courtney, she went above and beyond

Had a really nice overnight stay and the spa facilities were great. The grounds are peaceful and walk was nice. However, I didn't appreciate the sneaky gratitude tip they added onto my bill at the end (should have at least asked).

Nice place , but the space to walk around the inside pool is very narrow... You also need to pay extra for lunch soft drinks or sides even if you do not use your 25 pounds voucher on food that you are entitled. We were told at the check out about it and nothing was mentioned by the staff that took our food order. The "excuse" was that they are considered as extras although they are in the menu that they give you to choose the lunch from. On the contrary lovely countryside and amazing views on the way to the spa.

Great facilities, friendly staff and a good restaurant. Perhaps a little expensive, but a relaxing place to stay.

Great facilities when it's warm enough to use outdoor jacuzzi and sunbeds, otherwise the indoor pool and sauna area is very small. The heated tiled loungers are incredible for backpain and relaxation and there are plenty of jets for a water massage.
The staff were not particularly welcoming and made us sit and wait for paperwork for 20min without our complimentary drink, then rushed us through the drink! At lunch, which we ordered in the morning, we had to wait for 20minute past our booking to have our food and without our starter of bread, which came after our starter. However, aside from the really bitter olive oil with breads, the food was lovely. In the indoor spa, there were no instructions or attendants to explain how to turn on the water jets, so we, and a few other guests spent quite some time working out how those buttons worked (it seems there's a main button you have to switch on then the other buttons would work).


Over all, the staff need to be more welcoming but otherwise if it's hot weather it can be a wonderful day at the spa.

Staff superb and very courteous. Steak though was very grisly which was a shame compared to the Black Lake's steaks

Had a wonderful chilled out night. Wonderful tranquil setting, the staff couldn't do any more for you, they were so nice.

This is a spa have been there in the past and had treatments, but we were treated to a afternoon tea very nice, if I had one criticism it needs a bit of money spending on it just cosmetic things.

Lovely spa break. Only negative was that staff didn't let you know about all facilities on check in. We had no idea our room had a shared outdoor hot tub so didn't use it.

Ive just had a 55min deep tissue massage by Laura and it was amazing. She catered for my every need. Feel wonderful then straight after i had a facial for 25mins by another laura. Both amazing treatment ladies.

Went in December for a wedding. Amazing food. Drinks made well. Friendly staff.

Amazing stay. Top notch food and great facilities. Our room was a good size and very clean. Deco was modern and tasteful. Bed was large and comfy. We had a 55 min massage that was excellent. The evening meal was superb and made from quality ingredients. Would definitely recommend for a cosy romantic break.

Place was really nice. Only experience the bar and suite area. And drinks were just quite a bit on the expensive sideband my opinion.

Fabulous Spar in the most beautiful village of Moddershall in Staffordshire.
Great swimming pool and sauna, Spar treatments etc.

Really enjoyed my time there.

Absolutely Amazing Place,Staff Very Helpful & Friendly went for my sister's 50th Birthday on the 19th January 2017 there was 6 of us we had a fantastic time couldn't fault anything at all. First time here to celebrate my birthday and see New Year in with my fiancee's brother and partner really lively place, foid was just yummy and great service. Music was brilliant and fireworks were fantastic!! Great end to the evening..recommend to family and friends

It isnt cheap....but it is fantastic. Great day, food was top notch and the staff were lovely.

My mother booked a spa evening for my sisters birthday. My sister travelled from London and I travelled from Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

On the date of our spa evening I called to upgrade our spa treatments. The girl on the phone could not spell nor communicate effectively with myself. It finally transpired that we had no booking, or it was on the 6th December. She could not decide which was correct.

We were awfully confused and therefore called our bank with whom we bank with to confirm payment. Our bank confirmed payment, in writing and then confirmed the spa had sent the payment back. I called up to question this as we had travelled half way across the country for this evening, the Head of Sales said we had voided the payment. Which is a complete lie as our bank had realeased the funds.

We were not offered an apology or anything else, we frequent the spa whenever we are home and will never be using the spa again. Disgusting customer service.

Went fir afternoon tea. It was lovely but not enough of it. The staff were great

Greeted not as warmly as expected upon arrival. Treatment was great in the treatment room no complaints there.
Tried to go for a swim and there were electricians all around the pool doing an installation job i felt this made people uncomfortable to go for a swim.
Surely a email or telephone call warning of these works wouldnt of been to much of a problem.
When you have paid quite a lot of money for a relaxing spa day the last thing you want are contractors shouting through the pool area to each other. I respect that the work may need doing but surely other times would be more respectfull of full paying customers.
Food was great in the restaurant and most staff were friendly.
Just feel the day was ruined by bad organisation on the establishments part.

Excellent experience, well organised, clean & hygienic, relaxing with excellent facilities, polite staff and good food. The only slight negative is changing room.quite small so restricts how many can be in at a time so you may have to wait.

The staff stood out as the most accomodating staff! An Irish lady who did my massage was just the best I've ever had.

Me and my mum went for afternoon tea for Mother's Day. The staff were lovely and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. We were both full as there was so much to eat...which isn't a bad thing! The atmosphere was nice and cozy with nice calm music. The grounds are lovely and peaceful. I would highly recommend.

Very nice place. Large function room/bar with a buffet style area and they put on a Vegas theme for us!

Nice little retreat that is only 5 minutes away from us, but feels like a real escape and relax.

Treatments and relaxation areas were stunning. And it has an an outside jacuzzi... Need I go on. We will be back

From the minute you walk through the door the staff are friendly and welcoming, the venue is lovely, rooms are great with a private terrace to have a quiet few drinks. The facilities are plentiful, from hot tubs to steam room, sauna, experience showers, indoor and outdoor pools... there are loads of ways to get relaxed. The massages were great. The stand out part (with me being a foodie) was the meal, a lot of options - the pork belly main was possibly the best i have ever had! We would go back just for food!!! Highly recommended for a relaxing weekend away

I m surprised to have read some of the older reviews about this spa. I am pleased to say that from our point of view it was a really relaxing pleasurable stay and we would recommend it to anyone.
My sister and I recently made our 1st visit to Moddershall Oaks and had an enjoyable and relaxing time. From the moment we arrived, we were dealt with professionally but also in a very friendly way. The receptionist took us to our room and as soon as we stepped through the door it was obviously clean and well appointed.
We were made to feel very welcome and without exception, found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We stayed for one night (not long enough!) and found the accommodation very luxurious and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for anybody and every time you walked past member of the staff they always acknowledged you, smiled and asked if you were ok.
I was impressed with the quality of the food and found the food to be presented very well and arrived hot by friendly and efficient staff. The restaurant staff were very attentive and as with others couldn't do enough for you.
Finally, the treatments were the 'icing on the cake'. Between us we had four spa treatments and would say 3 of the 4 were the best we've experienced. We would have no hesitation in recommending Moddershall Oaks if you want a quiet place to relax and be pampered.
I've read some negative reviews and have tried to think of a negative - I can't and in comparison to other spa's I ve been to its the best for room quality, attentive service, excellent /therapists/treatments and fab food. The spa pool, sauna and Turkish bath also get EXCELLANT from me.
We'll definitely return to Moddershall Oaks and thanks to all the staff for a very pleasant stay.

I love it! It isn't the biggest spa but it is definitely aimed at relaxation. The hot tub outside is fab and the food in the restaurant is top quality. I enjoy coming here every time.

Such the perfect place to relax and unwind. Have been coming here for many years and will be coming for many more. Keep up the good work Moddershall!
