I would not live here again. The building is nice but the management is horrible.

Management is incompetent. Can t get a straight answer out of them when an issue is presented and more often than not they will lie to you in an attempt to placate you. They also have no issues changing your lease to a worse one. Until recently amenities were included in the price, but that was changed. Now you have no recourse against management limiting your access to the amenities. For example, the 24/7 gym they still advertise is closed without warning at arbitrary times. Don t be fooled by they re marketing, moving into lightview is a terrible idea until they make drastic changes.
DO NOT LIVE HERE.
The management is lack of structure and very disorganized.
Literally the worst management ever. Don t live here unless you want to pay $1000+ only to be screwed over.
I lived in Lightview for a total of 3 months in the summer of 2020. I moved into an apartment deserted after the pandemic but with an incredibly high amount of personal belongings left in the all common spaces of the apartment. Management cleaned and painted my room but left me to clean the waste in the rest of my apartment at move-in. On top of this, the walls were in an absolutely disgusting condition. After I reported it to management, they refused to come re-do an overdue paint job but assured me that my apartment condition form would prevent me from being charged for the state of the apartment. At move-out, I received a $250 out of $400 security deposit back. I immediately contacted management to raise the issue as I was charged for wall damage and a trash bag left over. Despite checking back in close to 4 times, I was then directed to someone who confirmed the charge error but refused to refund the entirety of the $150 back. The argument I was given was that some hooks and self-adhesive pads were left on the walls. I will only receive $100 back, despite a long wait and incredibly unprofessional management of the situation.
Accommodation and prompt communication are 2 of the stronger of customer service. Lightview lacks both.
Stay away. As everyone else has said the management is terrible and the quality of the rooms is poor for the price. Definitely not renewing
Staff is incredibly rude. Place is not kept clean. Spit/vomit/dirty laundry all over the place in elevators, lobby, etc. for hours, sometimes days. Have lost hot water at least for 7 days and haven t even lived here 6 months. Place is already falling apart and it s still not finished being built. Don t live here.
Management is horrible, the student portal doesn t work. They keep saying theyll fix it but never do. Only thing worth paying is the location.
Absolutely awful! Avoid at all costs. I would give them zero stars if I could! There is often no hot water and the building is very poorly managed. Really incompetent! They sent a late notice about rent and then informed me that they had my rent, they just didn't realize they had it, but by the time they figured it out I had already paid double rent for the month since they said it was overdue! Overpriced and not worth it. Stay away!
Beautiful place to live for a Northeastern University student.
Its a nice place. Quite expensive when you calculate it as an economist but its a place to live if you don't know your way around in Boston because it is close to Northeastern University.
The snakiest money grubbing corporation in the nation. They will do anything and go through any loopholes to try to take your money. i'd stay away.
Incredibly overpriced, especially with all the issues. Construction is shoddy and most of the spaces/rooms are small especially for the price. At least maintenance is fairly competent which is more than you can say for the management. They re lax, hard to get ahold of, will do they re best to not respond to issues including outright lying about things only to respond rudely when called out. Stay away, the best thing they have to offer is their misleading marketing.
Edit: I would like to point out that lightview has responded to this review faster than any email or phone call I have made to them.
Rubbish apartment They don t provide any service. The only thing they do is asking for rent one month ahead. And you might be assigned horrible roommates who would throw away your stuff and steal your stuff. And the apartment won t be responsible for it. It is your problem and you have bad luck And they are really active to ask for money, but when you require refund of deposit, you need to wait for a century. Just made some update, I had conflicts with roommates so what the apartment did is kick me out and they promised to return the rest rent of the month and deposit. Now they told me that I won t get any money back and I owed they more money I don t even understand what s the extra payment for. They just said I owed them money. I probably would get help from the lawyer. Think more before you decide to live in here.
