Fantastic as usual, beautiful setting for afternoon tea.

Cramped place with no disabled lift. Parking was a joke. Staff parked in disabled parking places.

Had lunch here, ham sandwich on white bread with fries. Lovely atmosphere with seats by pond or canal.

Absolutely excellent. Staff really helpful, venue lovely, with brilliant facilities. Canal side is also a big bonus in nice weather. Would 100% recommend.

I was very disappointed with the room....it was very tired and scruffy, torn paper on the walls...the duvet was thinking and had no filling in bits of it, I would have expected better for the price I paid. The steak I had in the bar was good, the chips inedible as they were way over seasoned, Amy is a star though, she's a credit to the hotel. I have voiced my complaints to the reception staff and it will be "passed back" we shall see...

Lovely staff food fantastic was made to feel very welcome by all staff nothing was to much trouble room was more than adequate went for a works foram stayed 1 night will definatley being going back with my wife for a nice break

A lovely venue, next to the canal and rather large function room. Food was lovely & a brilliant day/venue for a wedding.

A stunningly beautiful hotel, restaurant and bar that absolutely makes the grade in terms of quality, style, comfort, hospitality, and location. With a lovely warm and welcoming ambience, delightful and helpful staff, and owners who care passionately about their guests and high quality standards (including Mary's gorgeous fresh flowers which she arranges herself throughout the hotel every day). Every single aspect has been carefully thought through from the luxurious seating and tableware in the rooms, restaurant and bar, to the beds, bed linen, complimentary toiletries, towels, lighting, heating and facilities in the rooms and bathrooms. The food is divine whether served in the restaurant, bar or as room service which is quick, hot and tasty. I have returned for another week's stay and look forward to attending one of the Moat House events (Gin and Jazz, Psychic Supper) in the future. Perfect for weddings, business events, and a real treat for any occasion. Thank you everyone for making my stay so enjoyable. And special thanks to Emily and Stacey at the hotel reception for being so friendly and looking after me, it makes all the difference.

Pleasant provincial conference hotel and venue. Amazing pub adjoining. Grounds are nice but hemmed in by car parking and prone to road noise

We've been before and as it's been a while we thought we would treat ourselves to a bit of luxury after Xmas and have a meal here. It wasn't particularly busy with it being just after new year. On arrival we waited just over 2 minutes for someone to greet us and were eventually shown to our table. The menu had a good choice however both the tasting menu and a la carte didn't have anything special so we chose the standard menu which appeared good value. All in all food was good however service was far too slow. Considering the restaurant was only about half full and the number of staff there were food took too long to arrive and service staff were mostly nowhere to be seen unless they were bringing out the food. Good food but poor service which is a shame.

Been several times since 2010 (my wedding) I also stayed last week and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The food is by far the best for miles around, the service outstanding and the settings idyllic. what more could you ask for? Consistent high standards mean we keep coming back. 10/10

We visited to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We ate in the restaurant and the food was absolutely amazing. A perfect night.

Very good bar meal and a lovely setting but we were seated near the door and a store cupboard hence only 4 stars.

It is a very nice place a lot if weddings are booked here special dinners and they have very large windows which look out to the canal they also have a bar they serve bar food and when the weather is good they have seating outside around the moat with swans very idilic peaceful easy to get to all amenities are catered for beautiful place the head is in the Hairy bikers Midlands recipe book

The venue is stunning, and the food was delicious. We couldn't actually pick fault with anything at the wedding we attended today other than we thought there could have been abit of direction from someone once we arrived as to where we were going and things were etc but other than tht it was a fantastic day!

Celebrated my 60th birthday with my family. The meal was excellant.

Brilliant location, pub with fantastic selection of gins, beers and ales. Restaurant attached which has fantastic staff - would recommend Thursday steak nights for two!

Great scenery, everything just look amazing, like walking around a posh castle, absolutely mindblowing

A lovely country gem. I've only ever stopped off here for a quick drink on my way back from mountain biking in Cannock but it's a beautiful placid spot with ducks and a lake and good beer. Service doesn't always come with a smile but it's efficient enough and the drinks are well kept. Very nice spot

Had a great stay and enjoyed feeding the ducks outside the pond. I will definitely come here back again.

Drinks too expensive ...high school prom kids cannot afford such expensive soft Drinks!

Went for breakfast this Morning was fantastic and food me great value for the location and quality - Had two extra cups of coffee as best coffee I ve had in a while and actually tastes better than the coffee in the bar

Would recommend for either casual drinks & food in the bar area or a more formal occasion the restaurant - great place

Took over an hour to bring our food! Only three of us and only ordered a sandwich each. Had to chase them several times, one if which we were told "it's just being plated". That was 20 minutes before it turned up..!?

Beautiful bar and restaurant, had a 3 course Sunday lunch which was exquisite, staff very attentive and couldn't do enough for you. Excellent, would definitely recommend.

It's what it is. The fruit for breakfast is literally canned pears and oranges. The manager couldn't really care less. The lady who served me did though and dedicated from my bill. Its clean and tidy but a little too rough round the edges.

The bar staff when we arrived were not very welcoming and where quite rude. Once we got to the resturant the staff, service and food was fantastic except we were given a short measure of port.

We had a lovely celebration meal for my Sister in laws birthday meal here and the food and service were amazing. The bar area was a lovely place to meet up for a drink first. Our party was large and the staff kept the service flowing as though we were a table of 4. Brilliant.

We stayed here , very disappointed !! Was not a fresh bed , dirty toilet .if you look a bit on the poor side service is not good at all , would never go back .and very expensive .

Nice and comfortable week. The staff were very helpful. Breakfasts were very enjoyable served by lovely staff. Grounds are nice. We enjoyed the cream tea too.

Taster menu was great particularly the salmon dish and tomato dish.

Attending a wedding fayre here. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Venue looks nice and in a nice location too. Plenty of parking spaces and not too far from the main roads and motorway.
