Absolutely fantastic gentleman's afternoon tea for my husband and a classic one for myself. Couldn't fault the quality of the food, the ambience, the wonderful views over the canal and the excellent staff. We were also impressed with the well thought out measures in place at this time! Fabulous and very hard to beat in my opinion!

I have stayed here overnight on a number of occasions. I have also attended the New Year's Eve party in the Orangery and Valentine's Day evening meal. It's our favourite place to visit for an afternoon coffee or a pleasant evening drink. The setting is lovely and restful. However, the crowning glory here is the food and the service. The food is superb quality and we have never been disappointed at any level, from afternoon sandwiches to the New Year's Eve meals. Absolutely top notch. The staff are always polite and friendly. Very happy to recommend this venue.

AMAZING night at the Moat House our room was fabulous & our meal and service was exquisite, the staff treated us like royalty and we can highly recommend a visit. Thanks The Lewis Partnership xx

The food is phenomenal and the star rating on here is merited, but the restaurant does have some excessively pretentious touches: when someone pops to the toilet, the waiter comes and refolds their napkins whilst they're gone. It also took almost as long to wait for dessert as it took to get starters and main courses.

WARNING. We had our wedding at the Moat House, and the service we received was awful. The food was terrible (no suprise as I met the very drunk chef the night before). We were told not to have our photographs taken around the pond incase we upset the 'main wedding party' (the other wedding taking place obviously spent more money so they recieved the special treatment. The wedding planner was awful, rude and when home halfway throught the event. Our wedding photographer was appalled and warns every bride against the venue. I wrote a letter of complaint and have heard nothing back since.

This delightful hotel and restaurant bar is awesome The service is impressive and the food is gorgeous Covid safe to the max you certainly won't be disappointed If u get a chance to sit outdoors watching the ducks on the pond Moat in the sun with a glass of wine or a pint or even a gin you'll be forgiven for thinking you been transported to another time.

We attended a seasonal afternoom tea for a family birthday and loved our visit to The Moat House. Every staff member we spoke to was exceptionally polite and very helpful. Service in the restaurant was excellent and a large table had been prepared for us with high chairs for little ones (that were clean!). The food was lovely and an excellent selection of specialty loose-leaf teas was offered. One family member found the food unsuitable and staff were quick and friendly to help make alternative arrangements. Lovely visit.

I've been to The Most House twice, both occasions for weddings, the first time also has a hotel guest. The setting is very pretty, food good, hotel rooms comfortable and staff very helpful. It seems to be one of the most popular locations nearby for weddings, and with good reason.

Venue is lovely, staff were all very nice. Our room was rather tired with things not working and stained water marks on the ceiling and running down the walls. Shame as it could be lovely.

I had my wedding reception here yesterday and it was genuinely perfect. The room was beautifully decorated, the staff were lovely and couldn't be more helpful. The food was fantastic and everyone was raving abut it! The entire day we just felt so relaxed and the staff kept us informed of everything that was going on. All our guests said what a lovely venue it is and how smoothly everything went. Couldn't have asked for a better day! My husband and I are incredibly thankful.

Very impressive place . Good parking . Great food , all staff really know their stuff with regard to Covid 19 restrictions. But this didn't affect the lovely evening . Looking forward to my next visit.

There for a business away day Good facilities with excellent car parking but seriously falls down on quality of coffee machines and truly dreadful sandwiches for lunch. Note this isn't the restaurant but what was supplied as a working lunch.
