My daughter's marriage was held here on Friday 13"th April, and we could not have chosen a better venue, with amazingly friendly, caring, helpful staff, that would have done anything for us all. Just two words: FIRST CLASS.

no matter if you are eating in the bar or the restaurant the food here is amazing, its also nice to sit out by the lake on a sunny day with a cold beer and sandwich.
Stayed on business, and had a lovely time and a beautiful room! The Receptionist was lovely and helpful, I received some amazing service. Restaurant service was great but my only fault is that I did feel the food was a little slow at times (it was only a pain as you are having to eat outside in the cold) but it is understandable though during the current times! Will definitely be returning for a leisure visit.
I went with St Martin's Seniors, for a Christmas meal. The service was very good also the food was fab, well cooked, plenty of it.

We held our wedding here on 18th May,2013. The customer service that we received throughout the day was second to none. Every member of staff,whatever their role,from the General Manager through to bar and reception staff went above and beyond the call of duty to make our special day even more special. Nothing was to much trouble for them and they exemplified what "Customer experience" was all about.
We would highly recommend this venue for all your special events.

Several visits requiring a Gluten Free Diet have been an enjoyable experience. I was offered gluten free bread, Yorkshire puds, stuffing and dishes were adapted to suit my diet. Puddings are always a problem but yet again I was offered an alternative. The staff are polite and friendly and are always helpful. We would recommend the Moat House for their excellent food and service. A & M CLIFT.
Had the Trussell suite for granddaughter's 18th birthday on grill night. Everyone enjoyed the meal and the hospitality of the staff.

stayed at the hotel feb 28tosun 3 nice room and good service but felt badly treated by the bar staff for the following reason.As we were eating in the restaurant on Friday evening we went to the bar for a pre dinner drink we sat at a table in the bar with our drink, a great number of people were coming into the hotel from the local area ,we were approached by the bar staff asking us to move our table to make way for non residents who wanted a meal we told the staff that we were going to dinner at 1845 and they could have the table then but we were made to feel very unwanted in the bar,it seemed to us that the bar staff favoured the non residents over us not a pleasant experience.
Excellent venue, won't find better in Staffordshire, drinks expensive,food menu excellent and a little on the expensive side,Staff full marks

Was a guest at a wedding there.The staff were brilliant. They accommodate for everyone and very welcoming.
Overall was good but didnt arrive until late. Found pillows s bit hard. And breakfast in bed door hanger was never collected and delivered but we did arrive after midnight but meant we had no breakfast.
I visited the Moat House as a prospective bride and was a little disappointed if I am honest. The furniture in the library was tatty and the carpet in the main Wedding breakfast room looked like it had seen better days. I was disappointed it was not possible to get married outside unless I only had 20 guests. Felt like this might be an area they could work on for other brides.
Had my wedding reception here and have been numerous times to eat during the week and weekends. Food always fantastic and service always excellent
Booked a table in the restaurant to celebrate my 21st birthday. Staff were incredibly friendly and professional, menu & wine list had a lot of choice, and the food itself was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Popped for lunch. 3 course fixed price menu. Haddock starter, bass with curry flavours were the best dishes. Spot on service from Cloe. Highly recommended.
Once again brilliant service and food, it's recommended that you book, The moat house is well worth a visit or over night stay.

I was a suprise guest for a birthday meal. The staff were superb. They kept the secret and were delighted when I arrived( they were looking out for me). It made the whole occasion much more special. Meal was excellent. First class service.

A special place where you can relax and enjoy the large ponds and stunning beauty of this hotel and restaurant. The food and the wine are really better than you anticipate them to be. Staff are great at looking after everyone s needs especially in these challenging times. Worth a visit to bring peace to ones life! Amazing!!

Attended wedding at The Moat House, excellent day, brilliant location, outstanding food, staff were very efficient. Only downside was the hotel room, looking very tired could do with refurbishment.
Love this place... beautiful setting, very romantic but also child friendly. This was our first meal out since lockdown... and OMG it was out of this world.

Quite a nice setting in the countryside, reception staff are friendly. The rooms are a bit antiquated with poor heating/cooling, shower curtain is tiny and the walls to the rooms are extremely thin meaning you can hear people having a shower.
Breakfast was particularly frustrating and disorganised, it's one of the order toast but everything else is grab yourself which means I've been waiting 15mins and still not had any. Appear to be a few staff around but mainly rushing in and out but not actually carrying anything to anyone.
Overall overpriced and wouldn't stop again but due to the lack of other options in the area have a slightly captive audience.

We went for Wedding open day. With each room we saw the WOW factor was bigger!! Staff are friendly, very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Plenty of parking. Bar and restaurant to use even if not staying. Stunning scenery.
I recently attended a friend funeral here and can only say as expected the service was wonderful
