We've been a customer for years and always had great service! They get us in on their schedule real quick. The woman on the phone has always been pleasant and knows the information needed for the driver about my location. I would definitely recommend them!!
Joe was my realtor when buying my home almost 4 years ago, and is the one who recommended to use his oil company. He was great with the house buying process so I figured I'd give it a go.... well each year that goes by the staff just seems to get ruder and ruder. The customer service that comes along with it is sickening. The employee had an issue with bleeding the line states " he had no idea how to do it" and that he would send someone else. Well over 24 hours went by and I heard nothing, called and left voicemails, sent a fb msg and eventually just had someone else come bleed the line since their hours are only until 3 pm. Then I receive a nasty call from Nancy how it is not really their job to bled the line and that she doubts her employee would tell me he didn't know how do it. This lady is by far the rudest and I can't believe she's allowed to work with people. Done paying from services from them. Will GLADLY be switching companies.
My husband and I have owned our home for around a year and a half now and each time I've called to ask for a delivery the woman that answers is always so friendly and polite. She always gives me a day that they will deliver and they always stay on track. The drivers are also very professional. It's sad to see so many bad reviews for such a great place. I'll continue to use them :) never let someone's bad review change your mind on trying them out because they never disappoint.
Sludge oil. This stuff is terrible. Clogged my furnace up after one fill. Never use them again.
I spoke to many companies also including HVAC business. All said to stay away They go to the port and see that your fuel is taken from the bottom of the barrel. They said you are the last to pump because it's cheaper as the bottom is not good oil.
I used Midnight oil for the first time today and they were great. I was suppose to be home and I ended up having to work and the driver called me and we discussed where the tank and everything was and he was able to fill the tank for me. I had no idea where it got filled or anything and he was able to locate it for me. Also, I had put my payment under my doormat which to me was sketchy but the driver Chris filled out a receipt for me and took the payment without hassle. This is obviously a company that can be trusted including its drivers. I will be using this company again regardless of the bad reviews.
Wanted to switch oil companies so I gave midnight oil a call the woman that answered the phone was very unpleasant and rude. She spoke down to me and seemed to have no answers to any of my questions she was obviously less than concerned and acted highly irritated by the few questions I had that seemed to inconvenience her so.The woman couldn't help herself but to snap back with numerous petty immature "bitchy" comments throughout our brief conversation.very unfriendly and the least bit welcoming...so our family decided to buy oil from another provider called egelston and have been very very pleased the woman that answers the phone is very funny, friendly and open to answering any questions my family has the drivers are kind and helpful also EGELSTON is best oil company we have used yet :)
Great company to deal with that provides excellent customer service. They always return phone calls and they always deliver on the day they tell us they will be here.
Been with this company a long time. I have never been disappointed.
Very unsatisfied with their service. I applied for emergency heap on Monday and was told by my worker to call and set up a delivery time when I got home from my appointment. The woman that answered rudely told me she had nothing from my worker and that she doesn't call and set up an appointment and that she has 7 days to set up a delivery. So much for emergency heap! When finally delivered on Thursday, I was charged $0.18 more a gallon than a regular customer. Their excuse was that they don't get paid from heap right away. So they just make up a price? You are giving me kerosene now and you should charge what you are charging now. Are you going to reimburse me if the price is less when heap comes in?? I doubt it. I call this taking advantage of the system!!
I am always a satisfied customer, minus the rude and unprofessional staff answering the phones! If we could order online and not have to deal with the confrontational attitude I would give more stars! The drivers are always pleasant and the price match is great! Strange to feel completely opposite with the unacceptable customer service!!

Great company always there for you. I've worked in this business for years same oil as everyone else but a better price!!!!!! Bigger company's have more overhead that's why you pay more for their oil bottom line. Pay your bills on time and you won't have a problem thanks midnight oil for all your years of service to the surrounding communities

Asked that they fill my oil tank and they only put 100 gal in. Called to Let them know and was told I would have to pay the new price. Bad customer service.
I don't know why all these bad reviews. I moved here 2 years ago and tried 3 companies. This company has always had great customer service. I have run out of oil before "my fault", and when I called the lady was so nice, sent someone over the same day. Yes they are very busy and you do sometimes get the answering machine but she always calls back the same day. Midnight oil is AWESOME! wouldn't use anyone else.
Very unhappy with their service. I am a single mom of 2 teenage boys, have been their customer for many years. We moved into a new house and the location of the tank to fill it is in the back of the house and difficult to get to. The driver and I figured it out last time and it went fine . I agreed that in the spring I needed to put a gate in the fence. This time , in below zero temperatures, instead of working with me they refused to fill my tank which left me almost empty. I called Eggleston oil in Amsterdam and they came the next day. Also, cheaper prices. I highly recommend this company.
Was our first oil company, used for only 3 or so months. Secretaries were always very rude, and did not effectively pass on information, which caused issues. Went through Eggleston after that, and have been a satisfied customer of theirs for years now. I'm big on good customer service. These folks just don't have that.

We have lived in this area for a very long time. We have ALWAYS used Midnight Oil for our needs. They are always at our home when they say they will be and they offer a competing price. I notice that those who get it for free are complaining about the price. Isn't that convenient... man, wish I got it for free and had the luxury of complaining about a price I am not paying! Most people have to wait for oil to be delivered. That is a fact of life in the area we live in. There is no excuse for an 'emergency' delivery of free heap. Clearly you can't take care of business. If you have a home that is heated by oil and you need to get heap to purchase that oil as many people do, it is your job to INSURE that your are not so low you risk running out before that benefit comes in. The truth is, the emergency benefit is more than the regular benefit so many people just let it run out on purpose so they get that extra and larger benefit and then complain when it is not there instantly because they let it run out to get more free oil. Pathetic. I see a lot people slamming this company here and giving them bad reviews. You know those who pay for it are very happy with their service. They do a good job and have always been reliable! We are not related to them, do not know them personally, and are just customers who have benefited from their good service for a long time!
When my children were little there were times we got Heap from Midnight Oil, we NEVER had an issue but getting something for free and then having the nerve to complain about it is about the lowest form of life I can think of. I am thankful to the tax payers who provided us with oil during the times in our life when we needed a hand. <3 I appreciate that Midnight Oil participated in that program and helped us! They did not have to participate. Thank for doing this service! The office people have always been kind when dealing with us. If we did not get an answer, we left a message and always received a timely call back.

I was told no trucks were going out to my area today, but they would get out to me sometime today. 2 hours later my wife told me they came and delivered already. The driver offered to get the furnace going for her. You guys are the best! Always a pleasure dealing with you guys! Thanks again!

Wow after all these reviews I will not have them deliver oil. I noticed they play games with their prices also. I was told by a well known HVAC company that this oil is not good at all. Said there is a difference and you will have issues in the future with th poor quality of oil. Looks like I ll be giving someone else my business.
