Nice venue , although seats little uncomfortable after a while - need more padding . The firm was a good play . Nice restaurant around the corner for pre theatre meals , and also right next to Swiss Cottage tube station
Acting always top notch, the plays could be hit/miss, but love this little theater!
Lovely theatre that puts on (mostly) new and contemporary plays. Was present for the 60th anniversary, seeing Ruby Thomas's "Either." What a night!
Great theatre with great shows and lovely staff. Also just a great place to hang out, do some work or grab a coffee.
I have enjoyed many plays in their Downstairs Theatre. I also enjoy their excellent bar and coffee bar, even if I am not attending one of their plays
Great theatre with wonderful plays! Amazing space with a tiny cafe.
What a fantastic theatre to have on my doorstep. Thank you for all the amazing plays that you put on . great snacks and drinks as well.
The space is a great place to have a coffee or a drink and I have had many drinks there before the theatre and just when I have been in the area. The theatre is linked to central school of speech and drama but the quality is rather mixed. The theatre is well laid out and even the restricted view seats are decent is slightly rickety.
I only visited cafe, very comfortable and reasonable prices. I hope to visit theatre soon.
Lovely building and I saw a good two person show here
Great theatre, where ever you sit the view is decent and the productions are usually enjoyable and varied. There is also a smaller downstairs theatre which shows plays from newer writers - here the seats are cheaper and affordable. It is quite middle class and Hampstead but don't let that stop you.
Always puts on stimulating performances. Relatively small theatre with good viewing angles.
Wonderful and intimate venue with some excellent performances.
One of my very best off Westend theatres in London, especially downstairs at the Studio theatre. Best production seen so far - The Phlebotomist utterly phenomenal! What's not to love
Higher risk theatre as gets lots of new plays, some excellent and some terrible but well worth trying. Venue is also good and perfect for anyone living In NW london!
Local theatre with interesting and highly professional shows
On its initial move to this building the offerings were of very variable quality but the theatre has grown to be very strong indeed. Only downside is the relatively high ticket prices, though compared to West End prices, its still a bargain.
Excellent modem theatre, great seating arrangements all round and a lovely setting, especially in the summer. Solid quality work, too.
Modern theatre situated 1 minute walk from Swiss Cottage tube station. A beautiful, modern theatre with a warm feel to it. Bars upstairs and downstairs. Large seating area upstairs. We saw The Phlebotomist in the downstairs theatre - a very cosy, intimate space - which we thoroughly enjoyed. Seats are not pre-allocated so you can sit wherever is available.
Super production, but sadly the seats for a modern theatre are desperately uncomfortable
Nice cafe in the foyer with a few good and drink options. Plays have never disappointed and I've always enjoyed their innovative approach to scene set. Also I highly appreciated the under 30s discounts
If there is a God, Christian Cooke will never be out of work. This has to be the most incredible, powerful performance I have ever seen - and I have been around and seen a lot.
Fantastic show. One of the best they have ever done. Perfect setting in small theater.
Ravens: Spassky vs. Fischer was great. Fascinating look into the Cold War and genius
My favourite London theatre. Worth keeping an eye for what's on
One of my favourite theatres in London, with a consistently creative programme and a great community vibe. Provides a great opportunity to see leading actors perform in a more intimate setting, discover new work or see great productions before they transfer to the West End. The venue itself is spacious and modern with nice food and a good bar selection.
Some of the seats at the end of the rows at the back are really uncomfortable, with nowhere to put your feet.
Lovely modern theatre right next to Swiss Cottage tube station. Highly recommended.
Lovely small and intimate venue right next to Swiss Cottage Underground station.
Food/drink service can be very slow if you want refreshment at a busy time, but they do their best. It's a pleasant and convenient space to meet friends. We left "Ravens" 14.12.19 at half time. Hated the constant drift of cigarette smoke from actors on stage into the audience. I
If you sit in the 'dress circle', your knees are under your chin and if you sit in the centre of row C, in front of the window of the 'production box' you have conversations coming from there throughout the production that you're trying to watch. I was very surprised that the architects had not made that window sound proof.
One of the best theatres in London, good view from all seats in the main auditorium and the smaller studio has an intimate feel. The only problem is the refrigerators in the bar aren't cold enough hence the white wine isn't chilled properly.
great entertainment, superb performances always thought-provoking
Raven: Spassky V Fisher very interesting play about the 1972 world chess championship in Iceland. Well acted, brought out the personalities and the politics. Well worth seeing.
Top class play - The Haystack - and top class acting and production.
Confortable seats for not long play (room: Downstairs) and prices are good Often interesting plays
Oh the shows been cancelled cause one of actors is sick...... no we run to understudies. Have a glass of wine as compensation....Oh not the Pinot Grigio you can have the house white or red...... remind me never to go to Hampstead Theatre for anything even the wrecking ball
This is a wonderful local theatre but it's a pity that there's insufficient leg room with most seats.
Audiences get a close feeling to the stage. Good acoustics. Close enough to see the actors faces. Great venue
Nice size theatre and handy for the tube but the seats are most uncomfortable, no leg room and thin padding !
My wife tried to exchange a ticket that she just bought, got bounced backwards and forwards between them and their ticket agent. One hour on the phone, net result - sorry, computer says no. Ugh!
Good bar. Fast service. Great choice. Idea meeting place
Gorgeous theatre right by swiss cottage tube so it's easy to find, good pre theatre cafe for dinner, perfectly OK bar and generally excellent plays.
A great venue and really good place to see some incredible productions.
Every production here (particularly downstairs) is superbly done, thought provoking and memorable.
Love this place brings theatre to an affordable level. They put on amazing productions.
Went to see eden as a work do. Lovely little theatre, intimate setting and good quality show. Thank you.
One of the best experiences I had while in London. Not only is the staff amazing, the theater itself is stunning and extremely comfortable. The seats are comfy and there's more than enough leg room no matter where you're sitting. I watched "Dry Powder" and the show was spectacular. The acting was superb and beyond amazing. Really worth a watch
Lovely new theatre showing a wide range of plays. One reservation - the footroom as not as generous as you would expect for a new build.
A casual theatre with great seating, a great cultural hub!
Great service, tickets were ready for us to collect on arrival. The actual theatre room was very intimate and had good views from all angles.
Fantastic Theatre. Very similar to Greenwich where you probably can sit anywhere and still get a decent view. Seats are comfy and the stage itself is large so you clearly can get some decent productions going on here. Easy to get to from the Tube, and a lot of food and drink places nearby in case you need to refresh before you get there, though there is also a cafe in the theatre too.
The play was great and bar had good and friendly service.
Stylish, informal and contemporary venue comprising 2 performance spaces and refreshment area spilling outside onto the adjoining landscaped complex. Possibly the best spot to hang-out/ relax in the area. Top notch here.
After my first visit here recently I will definitely be returning, its a great space, the theatre was a perfect size and the production I saw was very professional. Can't wait to go again.
We went to see Botticelli in the fire. It was good, I found out about an artist that I did not know about before. The theatre was ok, the staff were polite and friendly.
Beautiful theatre - I enjoyed my visit for the first time an I will definitely go again. Thumbs up from me
Very impressed with this theater but it has a typical box standard bar area
Great theatre - amazing use of space and just a few seconds from Swiss Cottage Tube
