Please don't waste your money. No microwaves, rude staff, housekeeping didn't provide new towels until we asked and they did not clean our room. Someone else's stuff was left in the mini fridge. We stayed 3 nights and at the end, we decided it would have been more comfortable sleeping in the car. Some people say, "You pay what you get for." And ghey may be right - but not this time. Yes, it was cheap but there were nicer, cheaper places to stay. If I had known that when I booked, I would have passed up this place in a heartbeat.

Room smelled like smoke in a none smoking room and room needs to be cleaned a lot better. As I climbed into bed there was a condom wrapper on the floor next to wall. Also needs a lot of updating doors stick and patched walls and ceilings coming apart. Spend the extra and get a better hotel if you plan on staying more than the night.

This place was disgusting!!! Absolutely horrible experience. I have never in my life went to a hotel this awful. The halls smelt gross, the bedroom smelt gross and it looked like the place was starting to get moldy. Dead bugs where the light was. You are better off paying the extra 20-30 dollars to get something better. The fire alarm went off at 2 in the morning and to my surprise we find out that it was the 3rd night in a row this happened. THERE WAS NO FIRE JUST A FALSE ALARM. Do not recommend this place at all and anyone who said it was good is lying. NEVER EVER EVER EVER AGAIN. Waste of my money for sure.

High prices, sullen employees, no frills low quality room, stained smears on wall.
A $30 dollar per night motel that charges$90.worst hotel I have ever stayed at in the Rochester NY area. Clerks don't give a rats rump about the guest's welfare and are more interested in texting on their phones. Managers are indifferent to what is happening, but quick to call the police if you complain.

The Microtel in Henrietta is a basic hotel. It is reasonable clean but small and sparse on amenities. It is convenient to RIT so if you just need a place to sleep and shower it's a great bargain. If you are the type to hang out in your room then I'd suggest other options.

booked a non smoking room. called hours before I arrived to give them heads up. They confirmed availability. When arrived they said only room left was a non-smoking room which the previous guests complained smelled like smoke. Thais because it's is 100% a smoking room.
Staff is inadequately supported by owner and it reflects on their poor attitude towards guests and the poor status of this motel

Really enjoyed this hotel. Easy to access from the highway. Clean room, nice TV, comfy bed, and continental breakfast in the AM. I got exactly what I paid for; who can argue with that? Would stay here again.

My wife and i recently came to Rochester for a wedding and we're happy that we chose the Microtel over the other places in the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also loved the renovations. the room was clean and comfortable. We made it down just in time for breakfast and it was just what we needed for a quick bite before heading back home. we will definitely stay here the next time we are in the area!!

There is a major disconnect between the online booking and in person. In 20 minutes my reservation booked months in advanced was "lost" and found three times. The representative was unable to communicate to my why this was happening. For the price and size of the rooms you're better off staying somewhere else, unless you like headaches.

Dated rooms, no coat hangers or iron and ironing board in room. 1st floor room had a few "moisture" bugs in the bathroom. A bit over priced for what's is offered. The staff is very friendly though.

Arrived on a day trip only to find out an overnight storm had knocked the power out for most of the morning. Staff was friendly and accommodating in spite of the weather-related problems. Had a few issues with electronic locks and WiFi not working correctly once power came back on, but these were resolved quickly. Room was smallish and a little worn, but very clean with decent linens. A/C worked great on a 90+ degree day. Due to the location, there's quite a bit of outside road noise from trucks in the morning, so if you're a light sleeper, this may bother you. Convenient to lots of locations for food and shopping as well. Overall, not a bad budget hotel if you're in the area.

They love to kick people out. Normal yes, but they do so before your actual check out date. Be careful here when booking you'll likely be thrown out at 10:30am 3 days before check out! Imagine a parking lot full of angry people who just got checked out early.

Checked in on Thursday, and when we opened the door the deadbolt lock just fell to the ground so we just put it back up but every time we opened it and closed it, it would fall again! By Friday morning I informed front desk that we needed our trash taken out she said she would have someone do it that was around 11am by 8pm we returned to the room to notice that they didn t never take the trash out, so now I had to use a Walmart bag to put our trash in on top of all the other trash, by Saturday morning the sheet had came off the bed and that s when I noticed the sheets had stains all over them they look-like piss stains so I told front desk and they said they would have someone do it this was early Saturday morning, hours went by and no one came and I refused to lay on those sheets so I went home and grabbed some blankets so atleast the kids could lay on the bed, late afternoon around the kids nap time they came knocking on the door to change the bedding, informed them that they would have to come back because the kids where sleep and we had called them early morning they should ve been came! So then the manager comes up saying if they don t change it now we would have to wait to Sunday morning, mind yu we called them early morning the had plenty of hours to come, so I went home to get the air mattress bc I just couldn t sleep in the bed knowing the stains and dirt where on the bed, so here we are Sunday and they came early this morning kids where sleep asked can they come back here it is hours later and still nothing! Only reason we stayed here was bc we are waiting for renovations to be done in our home! The service is horrible they say they going to do something and don t! I don t care that the rate is low, the rooms are still expected to be clean and customer service always has to be on point! I use to stay here all the time before I moved here when I would come visit but after this experience once I check out I m never coming back and definitely not recommending. I just feel like I got played out of my few hundred dollars! Now it s 2:15pm on Sunday and I went to shower and the towel they just gave me had someone else s hair on it! My hair is black and there was blonde hair on the towel! I m so disgusted I could just cry! Can not wait for my house to be ready!

Microtel has seriouslydrifted from their original mission of providing small but nice rooms at a low price, the idea of the "micro" in their name. No longer true. Once it became part of Wyndam, prices doubled or tripled whereas my salary has not. However, the Henrietta location is clean, and in a nice neighborhood where I felt safe. Only three stars due to the higher room rates.

Should have left when I first saw the room, but I'd prepaid and the big sign at the front desk saying they don't give refunds (which scared me) convinced me to stay. Bad move. Smelled like old smoke and...something. The more closely I looked around, the more disturbing it became. The bathtub had a base layer of filth like my first college apartment. Cobwebs behind the bathroom door. I checked for bedbugs and didn't find any, but the mattress had a cigarette burn in it. The fitted sheet and one pillowcase had permanent, very noticeable stains, as did one of the two bathroom towels. Giant chunks of paint missing from the bathroom wall like a tenement. Hallway reeked of marijuana by 8pm, which didn't seem to be an issue for the staff. The bed was awful. Incredibly uncomfortable, even for my eight-year-old kid, which is saying something. Then in the morning one of the pillow cases had slipped and I found the best of all... a BLOOD STAIN about two inches across on the pillow itself. Don't stay at this hotel, ever. I thought it was cheap because it was small. It was cheap because it is disgusting.

we were awoken at 1 am by someone opening the door to our room; they had assigned our room to another guest even though we had already checked in to it. The absolute worst experience I have had in any hotel anywhere ever. If you foolishly choose to stay here, put a chair against the door and sleep with one eye open.

Why bother to make a reservation if they sell your room right from under you. I have been staying at this hotel for a year, half the time I don't know if I have a room to stay in! I'm a travel RN that works nights so I need to sleep during the day! This hotel has a nurse traveler rate which is a nice discount when traveling on a tight budget! However that doesn't mean a thing when you show up after working all night only to find the hotel sold your room that you had reserved. I am so tired and upset, feel stuck, I can't drive home and double back it's too far...I don't think I will be coming back!

They did not clean the room every day. They said the dnd sign was on the door. We were gone by eleven am every day and the cleaning people were there until three
We had a hard time getting extra towels and they only gave ONE. SHAMPOO FOR TWO PEOPLE. WE had to put up with a. Diesel truck running out side our window till very late at night. EVEN though we called several times and even went down to the front desk
We will never stay there again and will make sure our friends KNOW about it.

The front desk need to get it together. First, housekeeping opened my room door; without knocking. I walked out into the hallway to see if I could find them. Nope, vanished. Next, some staff from front desk knocked on my door, demanding to talk. This lady had No clue at all what the hell was going on. She said she didn't have any information on me but then when I went to the front desk she had all of my info / paperwork in front of her.She wasted my time and made me late for my appointment .Clearly these people don't know their job at all. Microtel morning staff is so rude

Torn carpeting in the corridor and stairwell. Areas under stairwell used for storage of construction material. Breakfast is a joke. Tiny eating area full of people fighting over a few pieces of toast. Broken bathroom lock and toilet seat that were not repaired despite complaints. Police were called at 3 am due to a domestic fight in an adjacent room. You've been warned.

Work sends me here regularly... most times the rooms smell. There is always noise in the halls and adjoining rooms. The information that the front desk has about my reservation isn't always correct. On three occasions I have been woken IP from the fire alarm due to toast on fire in the toaster... do they clean? I have had toilets that run all the time, broken TV remotes, missing "do not disturb" signs and other small things. This is not a place I recommend staying. Work sends me because it is cheap.

Don't come here, it smells like poverty. There are much better options for much better prices in Rochester/Henrietta. I liked Econo-lodge and Radisson.

If you really don't care and you get a good deal, it's not awful, but don't make this your first choice.

Not a bad little place..rooms near the road dont block traffic noise well. For me this is not a problem. But for some one else thinking of staying here might find that useful! Price is good and they allow pets.2 big pluses for me. Front desk attendants are friendly and accommodating!!

This hotel in unacceptable. I couldn't even take a shower. Mold, Rost, not renovated..... see images!!! $120 for one night is criminal! I contacted the General Manager by email, since receptionist didn't care. General Manager didn't have the curtesy to answer my email. I will never book a Wyndham again.

The room was just ok. You could hear the people talking in the next room and in the lobby. That was quite disturbing specially you could hear the footsteps and noise of the people in the lobby. Could not get proper sleep as every time the door of the next room closed it appeared it was our door. Anyways the price was OK too so you can't expect a lot. But we have stayed in the same price range hotels with better sleep. Breakfast was fine with the regular bread bagels, cereal, coffee, juice, muffins.

I guess you get what you pay for. The room smells. The mattress is dirty, sheets where inside out. The rigs look dirty in the room and in the hallways. I never been to a room in a motel without a mini fridge. Needs to be updated and cleaned better.

Rooms and beds are extra small, we were not offered double beds and it was three people in a room it cost more for a non smoking room that a smoking room , and the smoking room smelled like a group of people had just had a smoke party when we walked in! So my daughter who is on dialysis had to sleep on the window seal that's over the air conditioner..... Oh and it was very over priced for the rooms to be as small as they are.... The only way I would stay here again is if everything was booked.

Older hotel. Relatively clean but needs much more updating. Beds must be full size not queen size. Groat around tub needed to be replaced. Breakfast area had nothing but bread type items and ran out of napkins and paper towels. Flimsy paper cups for coffee. Burned myself trying to carry coffee to a table. Smelled like cigarette smoke when you are in hallways. Not a restful stay.

I get that they're currently remodeling but damn. The carpet in the hallway had a bit of a smell to it and there were mattresses leaned up against the wall that didn't move for at least 2 days. Our very small room was nice and clean (BUG FREE...trust me I checked thoroughly) with nice white linens and modern bed skirts but a few things were off. There was a hole in the headboard between the two beds where you'd normally expect a lamp but there was none. There was a mini-fridge but no microwave so the whole "kitchen in all rooms" amenity wasn't exactly accurate. The WiFi was spotty and the cable crapped out on the second night of my stay and didn't come back on. Our bathroom mirror had great big cracks across the bottom and some writing in sharpie on the top. The biggest downer was that the prices that show on the google listing ($55) are for rooms with only one bed so I paid more than I was expecting for a room with 2 beds but by that time I was tired of looking in the area and just gave in. Plus, the lady that checked me in didn't point out the total price plus tax before I signed everything then didn't give me a receipt so right before I checked out I saw two charges from Microtel on my bank statement and when I asked they had no explanation for why but they added up to the correct amount so I let it go. Overall, this place wasn't good for much more than a clean place to sleep.

Dont remember the name of guy on the desk but he was AWESOME! We just had a bad experience around the corner with another motel, the failed to inform us they didn't accept cash. We drove 4 hours and found out we had no room. We stopped in at your hotel around 7pm Monday June 17th, and was immediately treated with a sympathetic and professional demeanor. Not only were we able to pay cash but the bill for 5 nights was $80 cheaper and it included a continental breakfast. We spent a week here and the staff day or night was very accommodating. We will definitely be using Microtel from now on when we travel!

The room was adequate and had everything expected. We requested a non smoking and got put in a disability room which was entertaining. The location is very close to Rochester and a decent mall.

Stayed Sunday night through Monday morning. You cannot beat the price, for $50 you're able to have a nice room with free WiFi and breakfast. The staff is very friendly and everything is very clean and nice.

It's an alright place for a night if you're looking for cheap. Could use a nice scrub down and the bed we slept in was wornout and sunken in in middle. My boyfriend and I both woke up with sore backs and barely could move.

The pricing for the stay is great!! the staff our nice and friendly but only one thing I had any problem with is the 2nd floor people running around in and out closing doors all night it was not good I couldn t rest but other then that room are clean beds are nice and comfortable as well!!

there's no elevator and breakfast is all bread items. Would've been nice for oatmeal some fresh fruit hard boiled eggs something other than bread
Guests on my floor were smoking both pot and cigarettes smelled horrible im hallway. But my room was very clean and cozy. I don't suggest more than 1 person in the single bedroom. Very small space. Price was fine $65.00 for the night.

Ok, so the outside is great looking! Front desk area and breakfast lobby is great looking. Hallways are eh...decent. The rooms? Not the best but not terrible. There's a microwave and minifridge in each room. A desk and a chair. My chair sucked but I saw some others when the housekeeping were cleaning the rooms, and most other chairs were better. The bed was oh-so-soft! And I loved their blanket! Sleeping too long left me with a sore back though, from it not being firm enough.

Free wi-fi and tv. I didn't turn the tv on the whole week I was there though. There's also a public computer in the office area/lobby which has a sign saying 20 minutes at a time. The staff were nice and thankfully left me alone. I had the "do not disturb" tag on the door handle most of the time and denied housekeeping. (I have heard rumors about theft, so always deny housekeeping and put the "do not disturb" sign up when you leave to make sure they don't do it while you're off somewhere else. You really should do this at any motel/Inn anyways)

Breakfast from 6-9am. Coffee (powdered cream and sugar packets), apple and orange juices, and water. Chocolate and blueberry mini-muffins, Bagels (cream cheese, jelly, margerine(eww)), toast, cereal, oatmeal (from packets that you can make yourself). So it's a simple breakfast but better than nothing.

Free ice. Vending machine of soda, and another of snacks and playing cards and shaving razors. Only cash, no cards accepted.
