Microtel Review

Rooms have hair on the beds,smoky hallways,dirty bathrooms,sheets, pillowcases have stains

Small rooms, dirty bathrooms, yellow-stained bed sheets, but it was cheap enough. Wish it were cleaner.

Plenty of parking. Breakfast is available in the mornings. The room was very clean and comfortable.

wonderful stay. Management was wonderful. I noticed that there were smoking room available which was great for my husband. I would stay again

The hotel was very dirty and run down. Our room had what looked like boogers on the wall, handprints above the bed, and smelled horribly of smoke. The only positive was the very friendly staff.

Pros: Friendly staff (only reason for 3 stars), currently being remodeled. We got an updated (not renovated) room which was nice. Coffee is excellent & available all day.
ETA (cons):
- Mattress was so uncomfortable we bought an air mattress to use last few nights.
- Water is cold in middle of day due to laundry, otherwise it gets nice and hot.
- 'Breakfast' is non-existent

A more appropriate name for this hotel would be MicroTowel. The room was tiny, claustrophobic. We could hear people cough through the wall and understand what they had on their TV. Sheets were not fresh. Got fresh set from front desk staff. Bathroom mildewy in the corners. Like a tired old Red Roof with hourly customers. Shabby.

Had an early check in no problem, however the first floor room smelled awful, musty. Fridge was mouldy inside, microwave was filthy inside, bed had stained linen and sagged to the middle. Could hear noise from every room. Easily the worst place I have ever stayed. Could not wait to shower and wash everything we brought with us as soon as we got home. Cheap price for a good reason. Never again.

I give them no stars stayed there the TV didn't work phone didn't work and sheets were dirty and found a used condom under the bed and when I tried to get compensated the manager treated me very poorly will never stay there ever again!!!!

It was a nice stay, the bed was comfortable. I'm not used to reviewing things but I can say that the inn served it's purpose well.

This place was fine especially for the price. Everything was clean, friendly people, good water pressure and temperature. Just a tiny bit loud though otherwise I would give it 4 stars.

I expected way more considering we have a wyngate here in my home town. The free breakfast was a joke. Cereal, Bagels, and coffee that was it. I will start with the plus side and that's only one thing. The only good thing about this hotel was that it was located on a main strip, right where my wife and me could get everything we needed. Now onto the rest of the review.

The room is very small and the walls you can hear through them with no problem. The night before we left we could hear our neighbors t.v. Not only that but you can hear someone going in out of their rooms, if they were in the same hall as you.

The water pressure was terrible. We didn't bother to shower while we were there out of fear of the cleanliness of the tub. On our wall in our bathroom it looked like someone had literally took their hand, wiped their nose on their hand, then wiped it on the wall. It was terribly disgusting. Luckily we brought our own blankets to sleep on top of the comforter with. No way was I going to trust sleeping on their sheets after I saw hand prints on the wall behind our bed. I don't know if they refuse to clean it off, or what, and this isn't just our room either. Our friends who were attending the same wedding said they saw it behind theirs too. I def. will not be going back when we decide to go back to NY. If I could rate this hotel lower I would. It needs updated badly, the staff, and everyone was friendly. I wasn't about to complain to them, because it's not their fault their hotel they work for is so crappy, and out of date. It either needs remodeled, or demolish and replaced, one or the other.

Small room with outdated washroom and horrible breakfast

We arrived at 2.00 am, the lady at the reception was the least hospitable host. No greeting, no smile, cold attitude. Room was ok, however should be cleaner. Bath curtain and bedding were not clean enough. On the bath tub curtain there were disgusting stuff. The breakfast was not good, but it's complimentary.

Didn't find many of the horrible negatives reported by other reviewers. The room and bath were acceptably clean, the front desk staff pleasant, and overall an acceptable place.

This Microtel, however, was not up to the usual immaculate new standards of almost all the other Microtels I've stayed at - the place was worn in places, was not sparkling bright or clean, and most surprisingly, did not have an elevator to the second floor!

Repeat - You have to carry your luggage up stairs to get to the second floor.

Felt like i was going to get broken into any minute. Felt so unsafe and uncomfortable. Rooms and the Hall ways were so weird and sketchy. You can hear noises from the water pipes from other rooms. It's so loud that it's hard to sleep though it. Will NOT recommend to anyone. Worst hotel in Rochester.
