It is a company with a long and well-known history, if you are visiting Seattle you can go to the visitor center to see in a small museum (free) the history of Microsoft and you can buy souvenirs and official products in its store

If I could give less than one star, I would. The worse of the worst of the worst. a Tier 1 technician worked on my new laptop with Windows 7 OS as if it was windows 8 OS and the entier ecomputer crashed. I told him it was Windows 7, but he clearly heard "new laptop" and proceeded. After days and hours and unbelievable efforts to get the issue fixed by incompetent and untrained Microsoft technicians, finally, finally, finally 3 days later a nice guy suggested that I take the computer in to have the hard drive copied because there was no "guarantee" that all my documents could be saved. That cost $140. Then I had to have an onsite tech visit to have my computer formatted for $127.50. Total of $267.50. Last week I was told that a repayment to me for those expenses "sounded reasonable" and to give the tier 2 Supervisor 24 hours to make it happen and that he would call me back. Of course no call ever came. It is now 5 days later and I am told there is no way they can pay me for the money that their mistake caused me to spend to save my NEW laptop that MICROSOFT destroyed. In my business, we have to make good our mistakes. Mistakes happen. Of course. But it is the way that mistakes are handled that determine the integrity of the organization. Microsoft has no integrity that I can see. Rest assured. I will never own another Microsoft product. They simply DO NOT CARE about the individual. All of the tech support people are nice and polite. They all say "I am so very sorry for your inconvenience". BUT they can't do anything, the calls get dropped, they never call when they say they will, it takes days and days and hours of my own time, down time from work that produces my commissions that I live on, but MICROSOFT the Corporation doesn't care because they don't have to. Shame on Microsoft. The WORST ever in my experience. Which is considerable since I deal in technology for a living.

Never Shop on the Microsoft store to buy any of their products. If you must buy their products shop through a third party who has better customer service. This is by far the worst company for customer service. I have called them on multiple occasions with no resolution or follow through. Please stand clear of this company.

I am not a regular user of my laptop. So, I decided to give it to my daughter after she needed to replace hers. I forgot my device password, so I thought. After speaking with Microsoft Tech Support, I've realized that my account may have been compromised, and my password changed (?). The support rep stated it would take about 2 hours to reset my password, at $79.95/hr. He wanted me to pay $160 right then & there to reset my password. Surprised, I told the rep that was unreasonable. His response, "either you pay it, or your laptop will be useless. It's up to you to you to remember your password". This was after he suggested that there was suspicious activity on my account by way of Nigeria. The rep did not respond well when I suggested the difficulty I was having might have been site security related. No empathy exhibited and no professionalism exhibited at all.

Been waiting for my windows 10 pc to update for the past 2 hours. It's a fast pc, I can't imagine this on a slower computer. Way to go forcing people to update it the worst times. My computer now automatically turns the windows defender real time scan even though I disabled it. Really annoying because it keeps deleting my programs.

Microsoft is getting too greedy. Lets do the math. Microsoft is charging $170 per year to use their software, and that doesn t include technical support. McAfee wants $45 per year for their total package. These fees are free for the first year. The total cost of my Dell Laptop was $972. Lets assume that the computer last 8 years. In the last eight years the S&P 500 averaged an annualized growth rate of 13.89% and is currently giving a 1.74% yield (1.15% yield after taxes). If this trend were to continue, and instead of buying this computer you invested the money and after tax dividends into the S&P 500, you will end up with $5,352 at the end of eight years. That is what this computer has to be worth to a buyer eight years from now. The greed is getting ridiculous.

By far the worst company have ever had to deal with. They will steal your money and not even give you a way to deal with it! I had to change my visa card number just so that they would stop charging me! I sent countless emails with no response or satisfaction. They know exactly how to take your money and keep on taking it.

Wow, Microsoft is a modern day institution and this campus really highlights that. The grounds are beautiful and there are many trails around the campus that you can walk/run on. Soccer fields, outdoor areas, etc - it has the feel of a college campus, a lot of things going on all over.

Bought a game on Steam and never received a product key. Steam said it was an issue the Microsoft team was working to resolve. Tried to call microsoft and got put on hold for 20 min only to be told that microsoft doesn't take responsibility for games sold through 3rd part retailers even though something like 90% of pc games are sold through Steam. Stuck with an unusable game from a company that dodges responsibility but will still do anything to take a cut.

Microsoft has unfortunately, decided to sell/give your private information to outside parties. This is also the norm with Facebook, Google, Apple etc. It is a source of revenue, but the privacy of the customer is of greater value, and much more important. It has become very difficult to find a trustworthy company in this world.

Microsoft has made other poor choices, such as spokesperson Common, the rapper, ACLU partner and black civil rights activist? Microsoft has lost any and all of my respect. My privacy may not be important to you, but it is to me! Sell your products to someone else, I don't need them!

I have a couple of Microsoft computers and have overall been happy about the experience. My XBOX 360 had still got Gold and I've tried to cancel it and got the worst ever response. They're just there to advertise Gold on the internet, not help.

I have now bought two Apple machines - outstanding. Only one more Microsoft piece of junk to replace. Should have moved over years ago. One crash after another. They can't even get the back button to work on hotmail.
