I was so exciting to check this place out but when I saw they have whales performing shows I decided not to go. To have the whales in captivity, outside their natural habitat is not normal, I won't support animal cruelty.

I got lucky. When I went it was so quiet and nice got some sic pics too!

Great attraction. Some creatures like alligators are missing

Boring shows.. overrated price.. the was only one person attending a bbq stand... go somewhere else.. really.. it's a waste of money and time..

Horroble, dirty, disorganized, they should close this down , animals need more space and to be cleaner, then only good show was the sea lion. After that night my daughter got fever..we won't come back at all!!

The whole place was dead. No attractions were open, the manati's tank was getting cleaned, there was really nothing special about it. There were MAYBE 100 guests there in the entire park this last Saturday, November 9th 2019. They need to improve on their shows also, lack of choreography.

Great place for family and friends..Dolphin and Lolita and Sea lion shows are extraordinarily fun

Was really fun but definitely for younger children or adults who like to hang and go somewhere with friends, it was really cold the day we went so didn't really get to enjoy a lot of it. I loved how the shows where nicely placed time wise so you could go from show to show and get to see a lot within a certain time period

Overpriced for the fact you can walk and see the entire park in a total of 2hrs throw in the shows and it maxes out at about 3.5 to 4 hrs. Food is a joke ( bring your own) limited protection from the sun and heat for the visiters im not suprised they dont have more heat related injuries. Limited parking, And after all that i still fully support them and the things they do just make is easy for more people to see lower the the cost of entry and food on these Park.

Amazing Experience!! We went for Mother's Day, so I had a Free admission and my whole family was half off!! Great deal... The animals are well kept! For the exception of Lolita the Orca Whale she is kept in a very small space where she also entertain the autience. I'm hopeful that Miami Seaquarium will give her a more suitable home fitting for a queen that she is. Miss LOLITA!! ...But overall we loved it and hope to come back soon.

Disgusting. This place is not USDA compliant and they won't do anything about it. This place needs to be shut down and the animals rehabilitated back to the wild. The owner is just a sociopath who only cares about money.

Worst place to go in Miami I give it a star because can't blank but they deserve minus five stars

Definitely worth the Groupon price but I wouldn't pay full price. We enjoyed interacting with animals and the Splash play ground.

Good education for kids, not worth the entrance price.

Concessions should stay open for the people exiting the park. The vending machines with water were all not working as well. . The animals were still cute though.

Parking and food a bit pricey for a family outing, but good family time spent.

Great experience here. I was kind of unsure going, noting some of the past reviews, but I am so glad we did! The staff was nothing but friendly and helpful. All of the shows were excellent and fun. My 8 and 5 year old absolutely loved this place. Yes, the facilities are a bit outdated but everything else about this place makes up for that. I thought it was well worth the money paid.

I came here for my birthday today and I loved it. I was reading some of these reviews before I came and got really discouraged but then I was reminded that you need to form your own opinions about things, so I decided to go and I was glad I did. I was really amused and loved seeing all of the exhibits. My favorite was watching the manatees! The aquarium rescued the manatees and that made me really happy.

Not the same anymore. Alot of the things got moved around such as the sea turtles. They got rid of the gators. We walk the whole park in about 40 mins. The food center was extreamly dirty when I went. I decided not to eat beacause of how unsanitary it was

This museum is a wonderful place to spend a family day with your kids, very funny, a lot of entertainment and the shows are great.

Our family spent half day here after a cruise trip and before our return flight. This place is ok though not world class like many things in Miami. Plenty to see here. The boardwalk to see topical marine animals was interesting.

My favorite part of the aquarium was the dolphin show and the flamingos and the those fishes that kiss your hand

Go first thing when they open and hit all the shows since most are once a day. If you have kids there is more to do. Bring your bathing suit, you will get wet!

I used to love Miami Seaquarium as a kid, now I'm coming back with my kids and its nothing special.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This was the worst experience I have ever had at an aquarium! This place needs to be shut down!! It was dirty with trash everywhere. The fish tanks were so dirty you could hardly see the fish. The habitats for the animals were too small. The poor creatures should be sent to a better place or let back into the wild. All the people that work there should be ashamed. Such a sad sad experience.

I have not been here in a loooong time and when I went recently for an event I didn't like few things like:

Smell of the gift shop
Unorganized event
Everything was Expensive ; food, drinks, etc
The environment wasn't the most clean one for the animals in here
Service was ok, nothing amazing

Parking???????? They charge $10 for parking: UNBELIEVABLE

This is a theme park place rather than a aquarium. Dolphin and killer whale show are not as good as SeaWorlds, as part of Go Miami card package, it is very good place to spend 4 hours for all of shows.

I mean...I know you guys can see how small that tank is. There's no argument there, not fair to the animals/wildlife. If I wasn't mistaken they weren't born to put on a show for us everyday in the heat and small spaces. Sorry for truth

There summer school program are great. Kids learn a lot plus they have a great time.

The cost is worth it. The cost to care for all these rescued animals isn't cheap and the Love and care that they give to these animals are priceless.

The tanks are too small for these animals - not enough shade. Release them back to the ocean. Disappointing

Over priced and not enough attractions and fish/aquatic animals to justify cost. Entire place appears in need of some updating.

Decent size aquarium. It is a little outdated, but kids don't really care. Shows are limited but showtimes have multiple slots. We went in a little late in the day so not many shows were left. It is not a whole day event, but if you have Miami pass, it is good place to kill few hours.

Loved the visit. They have a lot of attractions. I cannot believe I spend my who day exploring the wild sea world. It was equally informative as well. A great place to be with your friends and family. Don t forget to get the dolphin experience .

Spent $235 for a family of 5 way over priced for what is there and they charge you to park pure greed but that is typical for non profit..
Needs to be updated bathrooms were gross food is expensive 2 slices of tiny pizza and a can of soda for 10 bucks not worth it. I loved seeing the dolphins they were cool but felt so bad for the whale and i wondered why her dorsal fin is up it should be down she is in captivity makes me think they did something to her to fin. She needs a bigger tank

Shows are unimpressive. You must expect better than a zoo's show, not worse! (Right?)

Shows address 4-10 year old kids. But you don't really get your money's worth.

It was a nice day but a tad depressing. Very old looking, nothing was really open. Too many people at the dolphin experience, very stressful for the animals. Manatees, not looking so hot. The only redeeming part is the people taking care of the animals, they love them.

Good shows but needs attention, paint the walls, renew the stadiums. The people is very nice and the animals seems to be taken care. The shows are good so plan ahead with the hours of the shows.

A great place to encounter and interact with beautiful sea creatures: dolphins, manatees, Penguins, Sea Lions, stingrays, and killer whale.
Four different animal shows, and variety of aquariums with turtles, fish, moray eels, stingrays and others.

Quite dated park that could use some new paint. They have an Orca but the basin is way too small for such a large animal.

I just didn t like the Dolphin Lobby because no has accessibility for wheelchair to the Top Deck Dolphin Show. The rest was perfect, amazing shows... Congrats.

Dolphins, seals, penguins, alligators, manatees, a killer whale ...

My wife works here and she loves it the animals are all well cared for and happy the work environment is very calm and everyone gets along.

It was a very nice place to spend time w/ my family. The dolphing show was awesome. My kids loved it

Perfect for a child's attention span. There are also options to take photos with animals. We did one with the sea lion and it was lots of fun.

enjoyable time at the Seaquarium very nice training with the whale and dolphin... enjoyed the shows....while we stayed at the Hilton Hotel Downtown... l found out on the next how to get here by bus so in all it was a short bus ride... all the shows were awesome... l believe in the communication humans have with the animals.. there is no animal cruelty .. like in some Countries animals are tied down and starved.. The Dolphins and the Whales were well rewarded during the show....so in all it was a wonderful experience to be as close to the whale and the dolphins...

Free Lolita and allow her to spend the rest of her days with her family. This is simply cruel.

It's ok. Nothing amazing and definitely too expensive for what it offers. Food is not great, but there are some healthy options, which I really appreciate.

Let me start off by saying that I am not anti-zoo or anti-orcas in captivity. If you are against these type of locations, that s cool. Don t come here- go to a museum. That said- Seaquarium is the love child between SeaWorld and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. It has the quaintness of Clearwater but the animals aren t so end of the line . (Clearwater takes excellent care of their animals, but many of their animals have been injured too severely to be re-released).

Great place to get up and touch some of these fabulous creatures.

OMG, are you kidding me! This poor whale has been kept all these years in this horrible tank. Is this the way some money grubbing dude is allowed to kept an ENDANGERED PROTECTED Orca????

This was my favorite place when I was little in the late 70 s! I was so disappointed when I returned with my son. The whale was sick or no longer there. (We couldn t get a straight answer) and the park looked exactly the same from 1978. For the price they charged they should have some serious upgrades. It also broke my heart to see the rusty metal platforms in the dolphin tank that they kept on running into.

They offer Florida resident prices only if you buy online a day before you plan to go. This was an unexpected fact leaned when we were buying tickets at the gate. $10 to park as well. Over half of the exhibits are closed including the dolphin show which you only find out when you arrive. Still you pay full price. I will never return.

This place was really not with the price. There was a manatee there in a small pool much to small for it's size, surrounded my rotting veggies. It was disgusting. Reported then to the EPA. Will never no there again. If you want a great aquarium experience go to the Frost Science museum.

I relocated to Miami about 2 years ago and visit the place yesterday 05/13/18 with my wife, sister in law and my 13 years old nephew. We are disappointed with the place as we expected more as the publicity and media tends to show a more favorable image of the seaquarium. First, the place is quite small so don't expect to spend much time there or everybody will get bored. The facilities are quite old and in need of a very through refurbish. Almost all the glass of the observation windows of the tanks have rusty borders and are so opaque that its difficult to observe the fish and other animals. There are plenty of leaks in roofs, that speaks a lot about its age and maintenance schedule. The sea creatures and animals in exhibition are few and lack variety to enjoy. Although it's a seaquarium, there is only one orca in the show, the water tank where it performs seems too small to accomodate it along a group of dolphins who perform along it and makes you wonder how animal protection entities and/or government inspections allow it. The dolphin show is very simple and like the seaquarium itself, rely on the memories of better days when the 1960's tv series Flipper was filmed there. All this makes everybody who visit the place to wonder how they charge a hefty entrance price ($45.99 per person over 10 years old) for this old place. When departing, I even heard some English speaking tourist saying they have been ripped off. Fortunately I only pay $24.99 per person on a Florida residents special price, so if you are a resident look for that ticket. The food is like every theme park or attraction in Florida, quite expensive and of bad quality, so its rates as standard in this sense. To crown all this, some of the employees have a poor attitude and are more concerned to look to their watches and cell phones every few minutes to check and hope their work shift end soon and go elsewhere than to care for the visiting customers. After you visit the place, you have to wonder how a place in those conditions could be in a big city like MIami, where millions of visitors from around the world came here every year to enjoy the beaches, world famous nightclubs and experience the theme parks at Orlando. Surely any money invested to refurbish the Miami Seaquarium and make it world class will be well spent and will produce considerable income, but that does not happened yet and instead you will see an old and crumbling place, so sad.

We came here on a school trip the shows were amazing and the staff have us a lot of knowledge about marine life. Keep it up guys
