The top deck show was fun and a couple of the exhibits were nice, but there are much better aquariums. It started to downpour while we were there and no one offered any help regarding what was still open and what we could do. We ended up leaving disappointed and much earlier than planned.

Hate the fact that a Orca was taken from her mother and has spent the last 45 years in captivity in what Miami Sea prison calls home. The facility is run down, the pool where Lolita lives is small honestly people it's like a human laying in a bathtub. She is forced to do silly tricks to amuse the crowd while the owners sit and count the dollars made. They have been asked hundreds of times for the release of Lolita only to hear them reply, we are doing what's best for her. So translated means without her they make no money. Every dollar spent at this horrible run down place prolongs the release of Lolita.
Starting Feb 14th 2016 a woman will spend 30 days in a bathtub outside this place to raise support and awareness for Lolita. Join us in Freeing Lolita honestly people ask yourself this. How would you feel if your child was taken from you for 45 yrs? Shut this place down it's overpriced and run down and run by money hungry idiots.

There s a picture online of Lolita with her very small pool. Give her a bigger pool. I know she s bullied by the others. But at least, give her the space she wants. If you can t afford that, give her up to a rescue facility where they can assure her happiness. Treat animals as your friends not your pets.

Me and my sisters had a great time there we met the Dolphin Luna and we did a lot of beautiful pictures !!!I recommend to anyone who visit Miami to check this place out!! The personal and the trainers are very kind and professional

My day in the aquarium was great, I bought the summer pass ticket so I will go to 4 parks for only $58.00 it includes (Metro Zoo, Miami Seaquarium, Lion Country Safari and Science Museum) I can think that the pool for the killer whale is small but people working in this aquarium are professionals and they know more than me.

I feel sick giving you even one star. I live on the other side of the globe and feel I have to do SOMETHING to try and get people to NOT GO. DO NOT SUPPORT a place that sticks a gigantic animal in a tank with a depth close to the pool in my local public pool. You don't have to be an animal activist to find this absolutely disgusting behaviour.

Shows were good, expensive expensive expensive. 103.00 for 2 adults, $10.00 to park, food way over priced 2 slices of.pizza and a drink that I didnt even get the whole can of soda, just whatever fit in my paper cup for 10.99. Pizza slices were very small and VERY thin. Sad to say This was our first time there and it will be our last. Certainly not worth the headaches getting there with all the traffic...
They should be ashamed.

It looks like they have refresh the park with new paints and are really showcasing their rescue and conservation work which I think makes it a great place to take your kids so they can learn about marine life.

The Seaquarium was recommended to us, and rightfully so! I couldn t fit as many pictures as I would ve liked! The shows they offer (Sea Lion, Dolphin & Orca) are spectacular, our kids felt like they were the only ones there! Staff was very informative and friendly! Some shops closed a bit early, but the main gift shop was open until close. Wonderful day trip.

Expensive admission and ridiculous to charge for parking in there own lot. The shows are more talking and lecturing than a actual show. Then the whale show is at 12:50 so it's just a trap to get you to eat lunch and spend more money, even if your done with all other attractions. This is nothing more than a tourist trap.

Was ok kinda expected a little more. I'm from the desert so seeing these types of animals is awsome.I just hope they are treated very well when everyone leaves and the trainers have them since whales and dolphins are extremely smart animals. The shows were good if I could rate the shows alone from the park I give the shows 4 stars.2.5 would be the park rating..

Nice experience very interactive. Definitely recommend using Groupon to purchase tickets ahead of time. This aquarium was more interactive than it was an actual aquarium in my opinion. The dolphin and sea lion shows were great ! . But if your looking more for large tanks with all sorts of exotic beautiful fish this isn t the place. Which with it being Miami you would think it would be grand but it wasn t what I expected. I ve been to better. However the staff was great and the shows were awesome, definitely had a lot of stuff for little ones to do.

Keeping cetaceans captive is a really dated trend and this location actually uses a tank that violates the Animal Welfare Act's minimum size requirement. Do yourself a favor and see wild animals in the ocean, will be a much more memorable and an actually enjoyable experience.

This was an OK experience... To tell the truth we were disappointed a bit.
The experience starts with parking for which you have to pay $8 and that's an additional to the $41x2 tickets price. Why it's not included into ticket? I have no answer as well as why there is no sign of area for free parking.
Then you come inside and see outdated buildings covered with tarp, some weird paint, and staff which isn't there when you're looking for them. Especially for the killer whale show, the stadium was closed and bunch of visitors were running around trying to find out if there would be show if it canceled or even what is happening. That was ridiculous - there was no one from staff to be seen to answer the questions.
But when we came into the gift store we saw 5-6 staff members hanging out there, apparently gift shop is more important than guests trying to get access to the show.
But there was something positive, the show staff was excellent, the shows were interesting and funny to watch, but I doubt us returning in nearest future, in our opinion place is overpriced and needs a good manager to make positive visiting experience possible...

Hours say open till 6, got there at 435 was denied entry. Judging by the gaurd's attitude people drive out there and get disappointed all the time. If you won't let people in after 430, you're not open till 6, even if people are still inside walking around.

Good experience but not worth the expense for the outdated attractions and decor. Most of the places to get beverages and food are always closed and don't bother buying a bottled beverage the souvenir cups are the only thing worth the cost but expect 9.99 for a cup and 2.99 for the straw to go with it... but 1.00 refills

Great place, they have great dolphin shows with the famous Flipper and others, the dolphins flip in the air, splash, play ball, and much more, they also have seal shows which were great too, unfortunately we didn't stay for long enough to see the killer whale show which I'm sure would've been great.
There is a option to interact with a dolphin but that will cost more money.
If you're looking to just see shows and presentations I suggest booking a general admission ticket online at least 24 hours before, it will save you $10 per ticket (this information is accurate as of 02/25/20).

I think they took my review down so I will just keep posting it. 0 stars if I could, place is filthy and a sad excuse of an aquarium dirty exhibits and depressed animals. We were there for 3 hours tops and over a hour of that was wasted waiting on the tour. The place looks run down, everything was pretty much closed too. Cheap version of Sea World and a lot worse to the animals. Sick place. Disgusting and should be shut down!

The dolphin encounter/Odyssey was definitely an awesome experience! The trainers though we're bickering with one another and our trainer for both my kids groups was very sarcastic and stood RIGHT IN THE WAY each time they did the tricks, like putting her but right in the viewers face! She seem to be maybe the "head trainer" as she was yelling at another trainer over and over again! Very unprofessional.

I am sure some of the employees are very invested in this aquarium. I am sure a lot of the employees make sure the animals are treated kindly. However, the habitats provided for the animals are poorly constructed, small, and unfit. I felt that the whole aquarium was worn down, underfunded, and not a place for sea animals. There are better ways to educate the public about sea life.

The best part of it is spending time with my girl and her sticking her hand in the bamboo shark tank and having the tickling fish kiss her hand.... we have an annual membership and come her every week or so instead of going to the park. If your a local with a little kid this is a must

At first we thought it would not be cool, but after we started watching the shows we loved it! very exciting every show, unique experience! however leaves to be desired in the restaurants.

The water area was the most fun for the kids. The animal attractions were not what I expected more. Not much interaction with the trainers and animals. Growing up I was amazed at the trainers in the water with them. That was a disappointment.

Have you seen the movie Blackfish? Please stop exploiting Orcas and Dolphins for money. People are tired of seeing these poor animals in obvious distress. The jig is up . . . time to evolve. Shut down your cruel exhibits
