What is there not to like about the Metropolitan Opera House. My friend and I sat in the box seats and had a great view. We saw the Harlequin ballet and it was upbeat from the beginning to end. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Recently attended Aida here. It was a grand production. The music and the performances were great. The sets were fabulous. This is why one goes to the Met to experience the opera.

The only downside was the running time..... There were two long intermissions..... They really need to shave those down. Understandably, the sets are large and elaborate but people have to go to work the next day.

Love love love their student discount deals, never got disappointed by the seats or performances. even when they had leading starts cancel due to a sickness they had an amazing substitutes. Love their free HD but it is hard to get the free sitting ticket. The inside design is poor when comapaired to Paris GrandOpera.

Shows are good but the drinks are quite overpriced even for Lincoln Center. When I was finished, I almost had enough for an additional ticket. Some seats were also labeled wrong. For example: my seats went from 25, 23, 19, 21 instead of 21, 19 and it caused a bit of confusion among those seated in the area.

Whipped Cream was a fantastic production ...and the opera house is gorgeous. If your tickets are at will call, be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before if not earlier because that line gets crazy.

Saw Samson Et Delila Matinee. Fantastic performance as to be expected from the Met. Would fully recomend for anyone looking to see an opera for the first time or hundredth. Staff was more than helpful with any questions we had. Loved every second.

Great spot. The entire complex is 5 stars. The underground parking is easy, efficient and worth every penny. The parking staff is friendly and quick. The theaters are all wonderful. Ticketing, ushers and staff are always helpful. A must for travel in NYC. You should plan in advance as it does get crowded for dinner or drinks either in LC or outside. Arrive early. There is security, bathroom lines, and drink lines. If you want something at intermission order in advance. Enjoy the break, have a drink as opposed to waiting in line for a snack and then rushing back to your seat.

Breathtaking views, iconic historical Opera House, globally renowned performances and an exclusive restaurant inside the main lobby (The Grand Tier); this is one of the great opera houses of the world.

The Belmont Room is limited to Metropolitan Opera Patrons on most occasions (an extra lounge, bar and ladies room)

If you need to use the elevators they are usually very congested so please plan to wait ahead of time.

If you need to use the restroom during the intermission you are better off waiting first and then coming back later (seems counterintuitive but if nobody follows my advice it is still valid)

Stroll through the courtyard of the Metropolitan Opera House even if you're not going inside for a performance. Every element of this opulent building from the limestone architecture, to the lobby's glittering chandelier, to the acoustics in the concert hall is gorgeous

Really amazing venue with a lot of different operas. Don't get tricked by the name, you don't have to be "rich" to get there, you can find tickets for ~40$ and there is no dress code, even though you'll see some people well dressed.

This is the best opera house that I've ever seen!!! The acoustic is jus perfect! The architecture is astonishing and everything seems just in the right place. The orchestra is wonderful and the singers are the best, not even telling about the ballet l, which is one of the best in the world! I simple love this place! And is really affordable. You can get a ticket in the family circle ( that has the best acoustic) as inexpensive as 30 bucks. It's much more worthy than going to a Broadway musical in my point of view.

Great music. Orchestra seats comfortable. Seats in Dress Circle, Balcony, and Family Circle very uncomfortable. Inadequate bathrooms, and often not sufficiently clean. Acoustics good in center, bad under overhangs, not properly balanced as you move to the sides.
