Friendly staff and there wasnt a long wait time but my issue wasn't resolved its actually deteriorating worse.
Excellent stay. special thanks for terrific nurse, Brea She is outstanding.
The experience was very pleasant. I felt very taken cared of
The ultrasound technician was very gentle, sweet and compassionate with my 96 yr old mother. Much appreciated.
TECHNICIAN DID A LOUSY JOB OF PUTTING IN A IV LINE IN MY ARM. SHE NEED MORE TRAINING!
We had an incident with one of the nurses by the name of Marie. She was very rude and condescending. This is the second time I've taken my girlfriend this hospital and had a bad experience. They have bad bedside manors. I will not be taking her to this hospital again.
I had a procedure in the Nuclear Medicine Department. All staff members were very professional! The technician, Mr. Ones thoroughly explained what would happen once my test started and approximately how long it would take. Thanks for taking great care of me!!
Every staff member could of not been more helpful. I had a first class experience!!
Three hours on hold to reach billing still haven t gotten a call back per 3 requests.
I love memorial advance team. They make sure everything correct and ask you more than once to make sure it is right. When have a problem or you let the doctor there something wrong they send to a specialist to check everything out. The Nurses and the surgeons are great as well. I would recommend any to come here.
My mother received top notch care before, during and after her triple bypass surgery. Absolutely no complaints. Very thankful to the kind and attentive staff!
I want to thank the doctors and nurses who saved my son's life after being born at 26 weeks gestation after losing his brother a year before around the same exact gestation. My husband was on deployment for the US Navy and I was 19 newly married and away from my family and friends for the very first time in my life. They became my friends and family and most importantly my support team. The hope they give me is indescribable! Thank you Columbia for saving my baby boy's life!!
This is one of the best hospitals I've seen! My father's case was a challenging one but the team of physicians who attended him, managed his case very skillfully. Special mention to Dr. Nasar, who shown to be an amazing gastroenterologist and human being.
The nurse staff, clerks, PA's mantainance personnel, everybody here go far & beyond to make the patient feel safe & welcomed; they do really care, it not a slogan. The place neatness is a plus.
We leave today with a pleasant memory. 100% recommended for your familiar in need.

I recently was admitted to Memorial for heart related issues. I came in through the ER and stayed overnight for observation. The staff was caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. Each staff member I came in contact with introduced themself, explained what their role was/is and what procedure they would be performing. The technology on the floor in which I stayed was amazing. Instead of white boards to tell you who your nurse is, etc.. they have electronic screens that gives you direct numbers to your nurse, patient care tech and even nurse director. The screens tell you what medicine you are taking, dr's names, what tests are ordered and more.... Can't say enough positive things about the staff, hospital and even the "hospital food." This has and will remain, my hospital of choice.
Worse ER experience ever. The doctor was so rude and had zero empathy.
Poor experience the ER personal was fine i was diagnostic i think lung problem (not covid) but they move me to the firth floor whit all the other covid 19 patients i need to ask for food, no soap in the room i ask the nurse to bring me soap to wash my hands they never bring any (i was using shampoo) even the pulmonologist used shampoo for washing his hands the nurses on the other hand try to do the best but i think they are limited what they can do HOW is possible that a patience with no covid and lung problem is put next to covid patients i guest they don't know that covid can kill people with preexisting conditions .
Worse hospital ever a few good carrying nurses. Most don't care. I was misdiagnosed for 8 or 9 days. My doctor charged way more time than I ever saw him. I am also a diabetic who they refused to check and give insulin too. I was so high for so long I panicked and made a scene to leave if I did not get checked the nurses response was go ahead. I had to bring a diabetic doctor up to allow me to Have my own test machine and had to hide my own insulin. I was scared for my life at this place and scared to leave without knowing what was exactly wrong with me turns out i had walking pneumonia which turned to kidney failure. When i finally confronted my doctor and made him have a conversation with me he got frustrated. He did I needed another biopsy and I asked when because at this time they were sending me home that day or next he told me I don't have insurance so other people are going first. I complained to the hospital and nothing was done they didn't even look into all the over charged he would stop in my room when I was awake and tell by I'm beautiful and to young so get better whatever the he'll that means but when I told my nurses this they all knew exactly what doctor I meant. And he treated my nurses from what I saw rudely. I should of sued but everything with my health happened so fast and the bills kept coming. Never again.
Great Experience. Sup of the best staff I've ever had. Thank you so much for all your help
A couple of the nurses were nice, but that s the extent of my positive feedback. First, they lost my mother s glasses when she went to have surgery and did not reimburse us for them, instead they blamed it on my dad and said he lost them. Second, my mom has dimentia, so she can easily get confused at times. They did not have nurses who could adequately deal with this and at times had to get rough with her to keep her in bed during her healing period. Even though she remembers very little, she remembers how horrible the people were to her. Third and finally when she was released, they did not give us directions on what and when she should be eating after she had her gallbladder taken out, nor did they give us care directions for her wound. I felt like there was a lot of miscommunication between the working parts of the whole process. I will not go back there for any medical surgeries.
Drs and nurses were very attentive and caring, some even pretty funny and warming. Wasn t my choice to go here but I would recommend it for sure! Thank you to the emergency department and Dr Ahmad especially!
Trash... Did not take good care of my father. Went in for a check up as the ambulance brought him in and was hardly checked on when nurse went to lunch or disappeared. They placed the call bell behind him and never gave it to him he has a weak left side and it was too far behind him on the right side to even reach it. A time before that the doc prescribed him something he was highly allergic too and the pharmacy called and told us and they did not even want to change the med.. Horrible hospital
Everyone from Registration, imaging, short stay, special procedure, Hospitalist to 2NT were very caring, professional and attentive! My family and I were treated with respect and dignity! I want to thank everyone and especially the staff in special procedures and 2NT for their excellent care! I greatly appreciate you all!
Im an EMT and come here frequently. Memorial isn't a particular special hospital but it serves its function well. I don't have anything negative or positive to say, honestly.
Everyone was extremely courteous and helpful. I felt that everything was properly sanitized and COVID compliant.
I love this hospital and all the staff who work there. I have brought multiple family members here in the past when other facilities have let me down and memorial hospital has proven time and time again to provide care that is above and beyond. I delivered my baby here on March 6th and every staff member from house keeping, to nutrition, nursing, registration, physicians....etc were amazing!!! Even administration Just AMAZING! Thank you
Experience was very smooth and efficient except for the long waiting period before surgery. I was told to try and come in early but my actual surgery time ended up delayed. Overly all a very friendly staff. Thx to Dr Webb for looking out for me.
Easy in and easy out to see my partner in room 4019.
went in for a shoulder injury, the care I got was very good and quick. My follow up has not been so good, They're having trouble finding a physician to answer the phone and some won't take my insurance, I guess
My mom was admitted to memorial hospital by ambulance for heart failure issues. I was really upset when no one acknowledged our presence. I know the staff were very busy but at least come and ask questions about her condition. Dr Jorge finally came and evaluated her , ordered all the necessary tests. I would like to thank Nurse Brett at the ER for the great care and attentiveness towards my mom. I wish all nurses treat their patients the way he did. Thank you Dr Jorge and Nurse Brett.
The doctor was great! The nurse, not so much. But I went to see a doctor not a nurse so that's why my rating is high. I was in and out! I was at the emergency center in Mandarin. The nurse made me think I was wasting my time, but when I saw the doctor, he actually seemed like he cared and knew what was going on. And yes, I know the nurses name but maybe she was just having a bad day. I do not think she was professional at all towards me though.
I came to the hospital complaining of numbness on my left side and chest pain! I was taken to intake where I was then placed in a holding area (S4). They took my blood pressure, 4 tubes of blood and urine. I was told they would be doing a EKG, because my symptoms were some signs of risk (whatever that means). I waited 1 hour and 47 minutes before they came to do the EKG. I was not hooked to any monitors during this wait. They came and finally did the EKG, and when I complained that I was not being monitored and could possibly be having a mild heart issue I was told that there are tons of ppl walking back and forth and would notice. Other then me holding my chest, high blood pressure and sitting rocking, what other outward visible signs would they be looking for.GO SOME WHERE ELSE!!!!!! Mom was sent to a heart doctor before and from my understanding I should have had a EKG right away and been monitored. HORRIBLE PLACE.... HORRIBLE!!! If you have more then a small or broken bone I WOULDN'T come HERE!!!
Really bad service my son he has fever and I wait for 3 hours what s kind of emergency
Scam. $1,780 for doctor to tell me "you don't have any bones sticking out and I wouldn't recommend xray" lmao. world is laughing at us.
The ER here is unethical and unprofessional. They run unnecessary tests just to rack up your bill. I was charged over $800 for a test that I didn't ask for. I didn't even find out that this test was done until I received a bill for it. Completely ridiculous. I've discussed this with their billing department and they were unsympathetic and unhelpful. Go elsewhere.
Came to the hospital for severe pain in side with stones and was told by the radiology dept the doctor ordered a catscan on my head not side and back. When I told him the symptoms he said just have it done anyway and then they would work it out with the doctor and redo it on my side. I never made it to the back was in waiting room the whole time had blood work done and tests done then taken back to waiting area. Never saw a doctor and was charged for seeing one
Extremely scary experience with labor and delivery on what should have been the happiest time.
First off all there was blood and urine on the toilet seat,3 hour wait in er room just to be given a vital medication that my insurance doesn't cover I'm still as sick as I was when I went to metropolitan hospital.im even more depressed.
Sitting out in the waiting room for almost 4 hours getting ran back and forth is ridiculous.....WHATS THE POINT OF A NICE NEW REMODEL ?!
Both my parents were brought to Memorial ER after a car accident. Their wishes to go to Beaches Baptist we re ignored. The medical care they received in the ER may have been adequate, but patient care was horrendous! They went without water or access to a bathroom for hours. One nurse said that if mom wet herself, they d deal with it. How degrading for an 84 year old! When she finally got to a room on the 3rd floor, I was told I would have to wait at the nurses station. At the nurses station, I was told I could not wait there, that I would have to take the elevator to the second floor waiting room. When I got on the elevator, it would not stop at the second floor, a fact that I m certain the nurse knew. I hope that mom got something to eat & at least a glass of water & survives
Went to the ER due to heart palpitations and discomfort on Jan 3rd, 2020. Checked in around 9:30 am. Provided my insurance card/ MILITARY ID card 3 times, TOLD them I have DIABETES and asked by 11:50 am, 1 pm if they had forgotten about me!
I was told to wait because there were no nurses available yet.
By 2:30 pm, I went back to the front desk nurse as I witnessed that even people that showed up by noon were either already gone or in a room being taken care of. Yet again, I was told to have a seat and wait and use the vending machine if I was hungry.
Surprisingly, at EXACTLY 3:20 pm, a lady called my name and approached me with a form that I needed to fill out because I was listed as having NO INSURANCE!!!
I was shocked and angry.
At that time, I quickly requested to see a supervisor and asked if this was the reason I was still waiting at the ER for almost 6 hours despite having a possible heart issues and multiple attempts to the front desk clerk that I was feeling WORSE as I was also starving and having stomach cramps and pain. THEY did not care as that I was listed as having NO INSURANCE.
I was told that they would not know whether other people had insurance or not. However, when I asked How did she know I was listed as having NO INSURANCE, she could NOT answer.
I was told that I will get seen regardless...Then, I understood that as having NO INSURANCE, NO NURSES/ NO ROOMS were made available for me in order to get the care I deserve as HUMAN BEING, not to say an ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBER of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA.
I did show my military ID card twice (when I first checked in at the front desk and around noon with the rolling cart registration lady) before the last lady came up to me at 3:20 pm.
I did not get to see the doctor until around 3:30 pm. REMEMBER that I CHECKED IN around 9:30 am ...6 HOURS WAITING WITH HEART PALPITATIONS, MIGRAINES, and PAIN!
All in all, CLEARLY, this is NOT a good place to go to if you DO NOT have INSURANCE! Make sure you tell them YOU DO HAVE INSURANCE MULTIPLE TIMES!
That was straight DISCRIMINATION!!!!!
My brother came to that hospital staying in the emergency room for 24 hours finally got upstairs and they approached him about a bill that he had already paid like they were more concerned about being paid then treatments
Ignore at all costs . Waited 5 hours in the ER waiting room and still waiting. Nurses and staff are incredibly impatient, rude and unhelpful . Joke of a hospital needs to be shut down
I hate this hospital they take everything as a joke and take they time when I go there... the last time I went there it was blood on the bed and floor and we had to clean it up.. that's sad. I rather go to shands and wait 8 hours
Memorial Hospital s Maternity Center was absolutely top notch. Every staff member from the front desk to the Drs. were excellent. The nurses were very caring and knowledgeable. I highly recommend their maternity center to anyone. Exceptionally clean and went above and beyond to follow guidelines considering CoViD. Best experience for sure!
I m currently here in room 3094 and the alarm has been and currently going off for over 15 min. I called my nurse and still waiting on them to show up as we speak. Tv has no sound. I wish I had gone to mayo.
Dr. Ferriss is awesome ...he knows what he is doing. I felt calm and safe.
On verge of suing for malpractice. Went in for an infection in my leg. Throwing up blood due too many aspirin from ER. Sent to get a upper gi I am throwing up on table they still proceed to stick a tube down my throat. Of course I throw up again but this time It goose in my lungs since the tube is in my throat. That lands me in intensive care next too criminals from the prison system. Guard at the door etc. After they move from intensive care they move me to a floor that is under construction. They proceed to strip the floor and put new ones down with all kinds of chemical and dust every where for days. Zero sleep, toxic chemical, sub standard care at best. Like anywhere there are some good people working their but overall worst experience of my life felt like torture.
Staff was absolutely wonderful. Everyone seemed to love working there.
The doctors were great! However, during my recovery room, I had a nurse named Diane who didn't check my blood pressure when it went off three times within a half hour. I had very low blood pressure 72/44 and needed to be checked on regularly.
Great staff; ease of check-in and great nursing staff on floors in Cardiac wing! Thanks a million
Wait 4 hours in pain. Didn't receive my shot for pain because nurse were to busy to give it.
This is the only hospital that I ve been in and have been treated like a dog. The nurses stand in front of you and lie to the doctor. But when you need assistance they take their time to respond. If you was dying they wouldn t care. And they will push you to your limit just so they can call the police or security on you. And just because you are of a different race they really try you. I could say so much more but it would take weeks of typing. But the bottom line is the nurses pretend they care but they don t. And the doctors are the same they just want money from the insurance company. It s just ridiculous that a hospital I thought highly of has dropped way below a Good rated hospital to one that a dog should never be sent to. And in my situation I really feel like it was because of my skin color that I was treated the way I was. And that comes from their hallway conversation.
Had to visit the ER today because of a tooth infection. Staff was very friendly and Stevee was very patient with me while I was extremely hesitant and scared out of my mind when it came time to getting a shot in my buttocks. Very caring people.
I won't return to the Emergency Room for treatment. It took 6-8 hours to be taken care of. Once I was assigned a room and got there, the other 8 days were good. The staff and doctors tried to take good care of me, even though, they were not able to determine what was wrong with me. They tried.
BUT STAY AWAY FROM THE EMERGENCY ROOM.
Online check-in made the process faster. Staff was friendly and courteous. Center was clean and sanitary. Wait time was reasonable. Procedure was completed in a timely manner.
My very ill, elderly mom spent 24 hours in the ER with pneumonia in both of her lungs. She slept on a stretcher with very little care. When she received a room we rejoiced thinking maybe we had made the right decision bringing her there after doubting that very thing. But we were very wrong. The sanitary practices we observed were both appalling and disgusting. The care, compassion, skill, knowledge of medications, concern, attention to detail, cleanliness, communication, food, overall attitude, ineptness and responsiveness were shocking. Steer clear at all costs.
Worst hospital I have ever been to rude nurses and then you also have to wait 8 hrs to even get admitted
WORST HOSPITAL STAY EVERRRRRRR!!!!!! I clearly have insurance but I was in so much pain that I could not even physically sign myself in to the hospital. They billed yet they did not help me with much at all. I had an ear ache and they promised to refer me to an ear, nose, and throat doctor. However, they never did. I am appalled at the service provided at this establishment and I will not return to this sad excuse for a hospital.
The emergency room nurse and doctors were awesome. Once I got into my room in the hospital was not so good. My dr told me he was gonna find out my results and let me know if I m leaving but never came back to tell me. I waited hours and after I called the nurse, she said my papers were there ready for me to go. Dr never came back to answer questions I had or explain my discharge details. Also the pharmacy told me about prescription delivery to my room. I accepted but it was never delivered. They dropped the ball big time. Then I had to go to my pharmacy and wait in this long line. Very unprofessional
People will have good and bad things to say wherever you go. But I must compliment the staff of the children's infection unit on the 3rd floor of Memorial Hospital. Dr. Cheema, Nurse Esther, Nurse Alie and nurse Coons as well as EVERY nurse we came into contact gave our child a fighting chance to live. After 3 weeks of not eating, daily vomiting and diarrhea, my child was on the brink of life or death. After 2 different pediatric visits we were referred to Wolfson's (the Nike brand of children's hospitals) in which admitted our daughter for an overnight stay. We advised, there had to be an underlying cause and if they could follow the pediatricians recommendation of chest x-ray because the bacteria/viral was too much for the pediatrician to handle. We even suggested they check for pneumonia at this point because our daughter was now on week 3 of the illness. So we felt comfortable taking her to the experts to help our child but after being discharged with nothing more than an IV and Motrin, our opinion of Wolfson's job has been downgraded to an F! Post discharge, our child regressed, so I rushed her back to Wolfon's because we were now in the red zone. I made it to the counter and the lady look as if she didn't want to help and rudely stated that my daughter would have to be re-admitted through their emergency area. So I grabbed my lethargic, dehydrated and sick daughter to the emergency room and was advised to sit in the waiting area for help. I try so hard to be civilized but my daughter was now dying in my arms as we waited and was in desperate need of help. Within an hour of waiting, my daughter began to convulse and vomit everywhere and instead of rushing her to the back for help, one of the nurses simply handed me a throw up bag. I told her we needed a doctor (not a throw up bag_ and that's when it hit me that I may lose my daughter at any moment. As I walked out of the bathroom to see if a doctor was coming, the young lady who checks vitals opens the door to call another child from the waiting room. She had on a mask and openly says to another employee; "I'm trying my best to not get sick'.
Once hearing this I realized that my daughter was not in the best of care and demand they cut the wrist bracelet from her arm. I didn't know what to do other than get her away from Wolfson's and seek real help. I made it to my car and a voice told me to not to go home as I made a B line to Memorial hospital. After a week under memorial's staff, my daughter's life was spared. They went above and beyond to find the problem and rectify it before any further damage done to my daughters little body. We were discharged yesterday and with 14 more days of treatment, she's on the road to a full recovery. To know all of this could have been avoided by a simple chest x-ray leaves me baffled as to how a level 3 hospital in Wolfson's not exhaust all options with utilizing a simple chest x-ray to investigate. It was beyond negligent and if not for Memorial's staff, my daughter wouldn't be here today. So thanks to Memorial's pediatric unit (on the 3rd floor) and I hope this message is a reminder to all residents of Jacksonville that just because Wolfson's gets the funding, attention and fame for helping children it doesn't mean they're the best option. Thank you to Memorial, Dr. Cheema, pediatric infectious disease doctor Katherine Ebbsworth-mojica, all the nurses for saving my baby's life. I hope other parents understand there's other options and with the care of Memorial's staff I'd choose them any day versus the arrogance and neglect that Wolfson's displayed. I'm not bashing them because they have done great things for many children but this effort should be shared among every child that walks into their facility and not a selected few. Memorial did a great job!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
The nurse that took care of me at 4:30am with excruciating ear/mouth pain made sure to get me out asap so I could go home and go to bed . She was fantastic. I believe her name may have been Melissa? I was out the door in 20 minutes!
Come here if you want too. This place is a sad excuse of a host pitas. Personnel don t care for ur well being. They will lie and they get you to the right help or into a room but don t. The staff sit around bs about there personal life and who sleeps with who. God forbid if you were on the verge of dieing I m sure they would just ignore you and keep on with the gossip. You have Ben warned
lost my sleeping device now ducking me because of it
I have been at this emergency room twice this week. I am so grateful to the nurses , technicians, and DR Fraley for the wonderful experience. They are so professional and caring, Cant say enough how great I was taken care of.
Thank you all for making me feel better !!!!
I had an excellent experience at Memorial during my two stays over the past few weeks. Everyone that I came in contact, with from the medical care providers to the house keeping staff, were very professional and friendly. The medical providers did an amazing job in getting me on the correct path to a healthy life. I especially want to thank the reliable escorts plenty of enjoyable conversations while navigating those long hospital corridors! Memorial has a winning team!!!
This place is a joke!
I took my pregnant wife to the E.R. when she was in pain. They didn't do anything. The doctor came in and his exact words were: "hmm.. i don't know." and then he walked out. we were charged $200 for that.. and for them to tell my wife she was overweight and using her stomach muscles too much. This place is a joke. Well, the emergency room is anyway. We went somewhere else and it turned out to be a cyst causing the pain.
horrible customer service...no rooms for patients. the service is rushed. there is miscommunication between nurses. no matter if you have insurance or not. they take wheelchairs from patients that need it to give it to another patients
Great staff. Very well taken care of each time I am here.
The ladies were gracious and funny. They were very explanatory and helpful.
Unsanitary place and the nurses walk around like they dont even care. Plus my bf was stuck with a needle repeatedly and had hos veins popped, then the nurse who did it acted like she doesnt know how it happened.
I was in a terrible boating accident where I got struck by a boat propeller and sustained very deep gashes to both thighs and left shin. I took an ambulance to the trauma unit where I was treated very very well here. I was in complete shock (obviously) but remember a nurse named William who made sure I kept calm and had anything and everything I needed and all of my questions were answered. I am still recovering with staples and stitches in my legs that a few nurse friends have said were done very well. Thank you to William, and thank you to all of the nurses and doctors that helped me that night. I am eternally grateful.
I had a miscarriage for over a month all they did was send me home with antibiotics 3 different times my lining has swollen I got infection and fetus still in me after they gave me misoprostal and yet again all I get sent home with is antibiotics instead they deny that they don t do dnc there smh and Steven Blake was well I thought was the best they horrible Cindy and all the staff they don t care for anyone they just there to get a check it s sad after 3 visits after miscarriage I still have to walk around with my unborn child remains still in me while my body continues to get infections
Always nice friendly staff. I love the fact I am always taken in for my procedures on time. The only thing I don't care for is the food I receive, its never a diabetic friendly diet
The VA picks my bill but I get sent a bill for charges to the ER Group. They are incompetent. What a way to treat a disabled VET.
This establishment feels they are above the law and will not allow senior patients to have communication or visitation while in their care. Are they above state law or any executive order? Makes one question the type if care they provide while the patients are being incarcerated
The ER was a zoo, face mask protocol was not enforced. Of course no rooms were available and
The TV had MSNBC ON for the entire 15 hours I spent in the waiting room doing nothing but bashing the President. I was told that I was going to be admitted and that I would be NPO after midnight. After about 6 hours I actually had to ask if I was going to have an IV put in. Been using Memorial for years but this was a terrible experience!
St. Vincent's is the clostest hospital to Memorial. Please go there!! They actually care about saving your life even if you have no insurance at the moment. I served 17 years as a Navy wife and my soon to be ex husband just recently took me off of the insurance but as soon as they learned that I had no insurance I was at the bottom of their garbage can. No attention from a nurse. Horrible excuse for an X-ray technician. I have DVT and PE blood clots. I don't even know where to begin with these people! They did half-a** exams and told me I have none which I know to be false. Then told me I would be owing them around $3,000.00 because they made me sit in a room for 6 HOURS!!! I told them I'm anemic and they didn't even take any blood to do any tests!!! I told them my leg had been swollen for over a month and they said "Ok". They made no attempt to figure out what was going on. This is absolutely the worst hospital experience of my life. I was there for six freaking hours..I asked if I could have a pack of crackers....The nurses demeanor immediately changed and she said "I'll ask your Primary". She of course never came back with any but passes my room SEVERAL times looking me in the eye and never stopping. I stayed there that whole 6 hrs and they never once offered me some water. Nothing. They ignored me to the best of their ability and then sent me home. If you care about yourself or your loved one DO NOT EVER GO HERE!
P.S. Note to the hospital...please don't have any phoney apology comments. If you really want to go ahead but save your breath for all of your lawsuits.
I was here 10/08/2017 for bypass surgery on my right leg.Moved here from Baltimore Maryland one year ago to date.I am a nurse from Johns Hopkins Hospital, which I didn't tell them, because I let the nurses do their job without being judged. But, my experience here at Memorial Hospital was terrifying. My nurse Kevin didn't want to change my bloody dressing on my right leg with 47 staplers.Kevin stated that blood on dressing had to pass black marker line, in which it was blood pass line and dressing saturated with my blood. So dressing was not change, I asked him for my pain meds and he put in my I.v line morphine, which I am allergic to.He said I have your pain meds and started to push meds and then he said its Morphine. Oh, no I'm allergic to morphine can you PLEASE get some DIPHENHYDRAMINE (BENADRYL) CORTICOSTEROIDS....Kevin said, you have no ORDER for that...I stated nor did I have one for Morphine, did you look at my chart to even see what ALLERGIES I had. Then he looked and said, Now I SEE IT. WELL, I HAD ENOUGH AND ASKED FOR A SUPERVISOR AND SHE SENT A DIFFERENT NURSE NAME MARYRA.MY ANGEL, SHE QUICKLY GAVE BE BENADRYL AND FENTANYL AND CHECKED ON ME THOUGH THE NIGHT MY NEXT 3 DAYS WAS GOOD......I FORGOT SHE CHANGED MY LEG DRESSING TOO..........SORRY TO SAY, I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS HOSPITAL MEMORIAL ON UNIVERSITY BLVD IN JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA NOR MY FAMILY NOR FRENDS.
Best nurses starting with my pre op work up to the ones who pushed me to the car when I was discharged. Nicole and Tyler were my nurses once I was in a room you could not have asked for better. I just want to thank them made my stay so comfortable as well as making sure my husband was also cared for . These two were so caring .
The team who help me in the Heart Center; from receptionist, to cleaning staff, to professionals in Heart Lab area - my heartfelt thanks for the excellent job done by all. I felt welcomed, felt informed, felt well cared for throughout entire heart catheter procedure. Well done!
Than you for taking super care of my mother wild she was very very ill outstanding care. Unto the saff there keep up the outstanding work love thank you again juanita Robinson the patient
Excellent surgical experience, from beginning to end!
To the owner: I used to have 2 pieces of bacon with my breakfast. Now, when 350 lbs woman is delivering me breakfast , there's no bacon or one piece. Embarrassing for your image
"Nightmare"
The name alone should be a warning!
Watch out for mean nurses and incompetent Doctors at the ER on University Blvd.
Check with your insurance company to see all of the double billing, and test and procedures that you never had but we're billed for.
The staff and everyone that I can in contact with at Memorial Hospital were amazing. Professional, kind, courteous and always helpful.
Prejudice against Deaf people, lazy doctors & nurses, especially in the ER. That is just the beginning. To tell all the horror stories about Memorial Hospital would take a book, too much for this media.
I have multiple medical issues. I've had over 36 surgeries, and suffer from an autoimmune disease. I have a port because my vein access is terrible. With that said, I went there for a severe Migraine among other things. Nobody could access a vein. Surprise, Surprise! They had 5 tubes ready for blood. Five different nurses told me that, I was dehydrated. No kidding! Next thing I knew, a doctor and his triage shows up and tells me that I'm be srnt home. He offer me pain medication. No, Thank you! I have pain meds. I left, what a joke! They didn't have anyone to access my port. I was too complicated. I'll never ever go back there again! Big Joke!
