I was treated by Dr. Abbas and the ladies in Wound Care. Excellent all around treatment. Top Notch !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was treated by Dr. Abbas and the ladies in Wound Care. Excellent all around treatment. Top Notch !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very bad place if you have a pregnant woman needing assistance not going into detail about this but needless to say they were very rude including the Dr I recommend that you go somewhere else....
Worst place ever!!! 5th floor nurses are so rude. Came back to attack me and my girlfriend when we complained to her supervisor. Run!!! Go to St Vincent's around the corner or Mayo. I posted this on FB and everyone told me the same thing, run as fast as you can. These people dont care about your health. They keep you for days and then kick you out. My gf hadn't eaten in a whole week and was on an IV, they still had her leave with no cure or diagnosis. Terrible place. Adam the director is a really nice person. But he couldnt nice his way out of this one..
The staff in labor and delivery, postpartum and the nursery were outstanding. Thank you for your compassion and dedication.
Adoption Authority
Helpful, kind, friendly staff who clearly communicated with me about my mammogram experience.
Dumbest people in Universe! Got my name wrong, contact information, following up appointment is wrong as well. How hard is it to copy a phone number to computer?
My stay was very nice and the nurses was awesome House of the doctors are very capable and friendlyno
I wish I could give this hospital a 0. There was several people in the waiting room and I looked to be the only one in severe pain. (Not saying I was) but I was having a miscarriage (assuming at the time cause of symptoms). and in so much pain. Crying, bleeding everywhere. 2 hours later did a ultrasound and was put back in the waiting area. Another hour later got put in the room with a curtain . And as we were waiting in the room for like 20 minutes, me and my boyfriend were in the room and can hear the nurses laughing and talking about patients issues out loud and overheard a nurse say " I dont want to be the one to tell her and how far along was she?" And blah blah blah and then 2 seconds later they are walking in. A man and woman. The man hands me the results and said you miscarried and I said I know I overheard and then the lady had me sign papers. And I had to ask for pain medicine after I felt like I was dying and he walked out and came back with prescriptions. I know they don't know me or care. But no sympathy at ALL. my first pregnancy and that's how we get treated. I couldn't cry cause I was in soooo much pain and crying earlier from pain. So I was so pissed when they told me and my boyfriend was like I wasn't expecting that reaction from you and I was like becasue I found out that I had a miscarriage before they walked in the room. Pathetic. And then he started crying and then we walked out and we just cried in the car together. Unbelievable. If I couldve went somewhere else I would've but it was the closest. If they would have came up n the room and seemed more sincere it would've been different.
The staff was very nice when I ask questions they answer me right away I had everything I needed they did a great job I do highly recommend this hospital.
I was scheduled to be at the hospital at 7:45 and mt surgery scheduled at 9:45 but the person before me cancel and they gave me a courtesy call to come in early. I got there and checked in and it was smooth sailing from there. I was back home for lunch. Everyone was nice and helpful. They all took good care of me from start to finish. My surgeon Dr Afshari saw me outside in the waiting area and he spoke that made me feel good that he recognized me first.
I was in the ER for approximately 2.5 before the doctor saw me. I was having cronic pain. When I was finally seen by the doctor he reported that my blood work was good but my potassium was low . He discharged me. I am a cancer patient currently receiving radiation. I am still having cramps all over my body. I have not seen my primary care doctor. I have seen the cancer specialist as I have radiation daily. The oncologist has taken my blood work but has not reach out to me yet. If you would call me after reading this message I would appreciate it
Awesome hospital care in the ICU was unbelievably awesome very amazed by the staff loving and caring hearts
I normally don't rate thing, and I definitely don't EVER go out of my way to rate poorly. Today I don't think I could have ever had a worse experience. Mind you all I did was call in for some information, but I work nights and because of that my nights and day are all messed up. So I call in hoping someone could help guild me in the right direction. Being a hospital, and open 24 hrs I would have hoped the service was better. But instead I talked to a lady that told me "it's 5 am what do you except me to do?" "I don't mean to be rude or a smarty, but I can't do anything if you don't know anything."
So I am calling in to get info, or at the very least a step in the right direction. I called about a severe provided by the hospital, I was at that hospital, I even gave her a room number and she said "you will have to give me more info if your wanting to get anywhere with this."
I have never been so appalled after my 15 years of customer service, by someone that is supposed to be working in a futility that is supposed to help and care. Not even an I am sorry or i wish I couldent help you more, or good luck. She just hung up on me. This is completely unexpected for any place to have "help" like this.
I haven't been yet, i'm due to have a C-section there in September and after seeing all of these negative comments I am a little bit worried. I chose Memorial because I was looking for somewhere better than Shands where I went for my first baby where everything that could go wrong, went wrong and this is making me so nervous now..
I am not one to complain, but this hospital was one of the worst I ve ever been too.... it wasn t the service, We had great nurses! It was how disgusting the hospital was... in the emergency room there were what it looked like dirt tracks all over the floors! We had a nurse who i am not going to name bring a shower chair that had what it looked like either blood or bowel movement dripping from the shower chair.... that was what drew the line for us. Will not be coming back.
I was sent to the ER after visiting my doctor at family care practices for high blood pressure and pain . I arrived and an iv port was installed in my right arm. No iv. I sat in th hallway for four hours. After complaining, I was referred to .by some guy in a purple smock. What does the blank want, meaning me. And nurse came and took my blood pressure again. It was normal so the sent me home.
Worse hospital ever!!!! Planned surgery yet no room reserved even though an overnight stay was planned. Really?!!!! Do not come to this hospital.
Place is a real joke. Had an appointment for a CT scan and was rescheduled for 2 days later. I drank the barium last night and again this morning and was fasting. On my way to the appointment this morning they call me and cancel again. Been sitting on pins and needles because I have blood in my urine and want to get to the bottom of this but I keep getting rescheduled. Piss poor hospital. Called my primary doctor to make me an appointment elsewhere.
I'm sorry but what planet are these people from?
If someone comes in with abdominal cramps that have lasted over 12 hours severe and throwing up, do you decide to make them wait 3 hours in the ER so that you can cater to the 100th crack head to walk in at night.
It took a lot to get my husband to come to the ER because he truly needed help.
It sucks so bad, traveling from Indiana and we just happened to choose this hospital. I'm currently kicking myself over it.
Had a perfect time at the er. Everyone was wonderful. My favorite person was definitely Jamie the sonogrammer she made me feel so comfortable and was super nice
Terrible. Get treated not seated. Thats bullcrap. Waited seven hours to be seen. Then go they do all this work admit me in then tell me well take some pain and youll be ok. They didnt tell me what caused it. Or basically how to make it better. Still have tge same cheast pain. They didnt help at all. I will never return here. Ill drive an extra 15minutes to go to Beaches. This hospital needs to get better staffing
What a joke these people are my wife has been there multiple times for kidney infections and stones. They always keep her in there and say they want urologist to see her but he never comes. So they just send her home with the same treatment plan that hasnt worked. These rude people dont do their job to save lives they are risking my wife health by ignoring her.
I had a total knee replacement and everything went as smoothly as one could hope for and expect. It was a very well-organized process. Made me feel extremely comfortable throughout my experience.
had a couple tiny bad experiences but all in all a great experience..staff wuz very helpful and caring...dont kno wut the girl wit the ugly face at the top of these reviews wuz talking about
I totally enjoyed my visit. The staff made it so easy for me to be there and softened the blow of my illness. I'd to mention that I was on 5 west in 5034. I'd to mention that Alexx, Fallan, Chelsea, Marie, and Shannon should be awarded for superior nursing. They really cared about me and showed it with sympathy when I was down. I have never quite had a special stay at a hospital like this one was.
My experience at memorial hospital was initially very stressful er was busy so I can understand the limitations of what they can do for u .please don't misunderstand I never felt neglected. Upstairs on the second floor once I was admitted. I was overwhelmed by the attention and comfort and compassion of the nurses.and staff. To all the staff and nurses especially. Thank you for all you did .you are truly amazing and special people. Your dedication and skill are truly unsurpassed. I will never forget you and what you did for me and my family. Thank you all so much.
Went here with my son while down in Florida. They gave him a prescription for steroids for having croup. I was skeptical to give it to him due to him having a high fever and usually being sick raises your heart beat. I called his pediatrician up here in Mass to get her opinion. She said "no way don't give it to him." Turns out he had the flu not croup.
I recently had knee replacement surgery and I have nothing but good things about my experience. Everyone was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The room was clean and bright and quiet. Care was their top priority and they were there when needed someone very promptly. I was very pleased and would recommend Memorial Hospital.
I'm not sure if it's just busy because of the holiday. But this is by far the worst hospital I have ever been to I've been waiting in the waiting room for 6 hrs
Broke a few bones in my right hand Saturday afternoon, want to Memorial Hospital ER, expected to be there all day but was seen almost immediately.
The ER nurses were awesome.. hard to explain, but it was actually a pretty pleasant day overall because of the people at Memorial Hospital ER.
Was there about three hours total, got blood work done x-rays, got everything read, and got a cast put on the broken hand. 3 hours and I was out the door
I had my surgery at Memorial on Nov.6th. I recieved the BEST care from beginning to end. This was my first time having surgery and they made me feel so comfortable. I recieved the best customer care from EVERYONE there. Great customer care, very professional and very organized.
I went to Memorial Hospital on December 11th to have a complete hip replacement. I could not have been treated any better. The nurses, drs and other staff were the nicest, compassionate people you would ever want to deal with. From the moment My husband and I pulled up to the valet service (yes valet service) we were treated like royalty. I had a wonderful experience with a gentleman named Arturo at the sign in desk he treated me like he would have treated his own family member (one that he liked of course lol) The folks back in the surgery prep area were very caring and put any worries or nerves I might have had to ease quickly. When I was wheeled in to the operating room the
Ladies and gents in there were so sweet and caring. I felt so comfortable around them I even joked with them and they made me feel great. I woke up in recovery and again was greeted by wonderful people. Everyone I came in contact with from the lovely lady that kept my room clean to the folks that came to ask about my meals, the lab techs that drew my blood. The nurses were Johnny on the spot if I needed anything no matter what time it was. They would take care of what I needed. I will be going back in a few months to have the other hip taken care of and am actually looking forward to it because of the positive experience I had this first time. My surgeon was Dr Redmond along with his team and let me tell you they knew just what they were doing and how to make you feel important not just a number or a dollar sign. I want them all to know just how wonderful I think they are and how terrific they made me feel.
Sincerely,
Cherryl Otto
do NOT do NOT do NOT go to this hospital no matter what! I'm a white collar professional but I'm using very unladylike language here and it's well earned and directed at this poorly run operation. The way they treated me April 2018 is atrocious. Left me in the hallway for an extremely long time screaming in pain. They did not update an EXTREMELY old file from the 1990's with my correct name, address, next of living kin (was dead), phone, insurance etc. "shaniqua-tude" from the dipwad that came to ask me for this info clucked her tongue at me. I was writhing in pain in the GD ER! WTF did you think witch?! I was going to sit down with you, talk e-bonics and whip out my insurance card?! the male so called 'nurse' assigned to me was the rudest MF'er I've run into in ages. the so called 'doctor' said I was having a 'fibromyalgia like event'. I've had fibro for 7 years and have studied it intensely. there is no such term. I was having a HEART ATTACK! rude 'nurse' would not help me to the bathroom, order meds or procedures, ripped the electrodes off of me. told me to walk out of the hospital on my own. I was NOT taken to meet my ride in a wheel chair which is SOP for any American hospital. They would not send my records to Mayo. To make things worse, they filed insurance for a 3 hour stay as over $30k as an auto accident, did not give my insurance information to the 'doctor' and 'radiologist' and has created a FIRESTORM of credit mess. after nearly 12 months, this whole nightmare is STILL not settled. F'ING IDIOTS run this place. F'ING IDIOTS work here. DO NOT GO HERE even if your life depends on it!
All staff from the time I came in were caring and efficient! Also the doctor was very understanding and helped me understand what I needed to do next.
I was given sufficient information to make an informed decision.
If necessary, I would choose Memorial Hospital again.
Fantastic experience considering I had a knee replacement and approx. 30 staples. Everyone was pleasant to deal with.
I have been having to visit the wound care center twice a week for a few weeks now due to a surgical issue. The nurses in this department have all been very kind and professional.
I was in Memorial from 10/31-11/13 for quad heart bypass surgery. From arrival in ER through every test, the surgery, and ICU, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with my care. The staff worked very closely as a team...keeping each other informed. More importantly, I was treated with respect and genuine care by every staff member...bottom to top. I have new respect for the work these professiomals do when you are totally incapacitated for weeks.
The xrays department for bone density were exceptional. I had a student training with the supervisor and she is a keeper. I can't complement them enough. Waiting area had a wonderful volunteer. Up in her 80's, she provided me with hot chocolate and a blanket. They put together a great staff.
I had a knee replacement there last week. The nurses I had, Mike during the day and Michelle at night were exceptional!! They both demonstrated competent and compassionate care. They were both very professional. I would highly recommend Memorial hospital for any joint replacement surgery!
Worst experience! My mother was in a car accident and brought in by ambulance. Her blood pressure is 229/110. They did not even have her hooked up in order to monitor her heart rate or BP. A nurse came in once to check it. She needed to use the restroom, the nurse asked if she can walk. Said she is dizzy and unsteady. The nurse never came back! Have hit the nurse call button twice, they just cleared it without seeing what the issue is. My mother is FREEZING, asked for socks 3 times, only to be ignored. I went to the nurse station to ask, the nurse saw me and turned abruptly on her heels to go in the opposite direction. In my opinion my mother received the worst emergency care possible.
Doctors and nurses in both the ER and one north were amazing. They were compassionate and listened to my concerns. Their service was second to none.
Where are the memes? went and there was not a single meme, CLICKBATE, CLICKBATE (just kidding) Olesha is the best, I hope someday you will see. 5 stars
Went here once, they took all my info, I said how much of this will my insurance cover, they wouldn't tell me. After sticking a flash light in my ear and writing me a prescription they charged me over $1,100.
The registration lady could have been more friendly or cheerful. Everyone else was very friendly and considerate.
lost 2 parents to this place and almost lost my significant other. I know some of the staff and they are fine people. I suspect that there is a bureaucracy in place that limits the care based on something other than the patient and family's best interest. I don't profess to know what motivates an organization such as a hospital, but, I would hope that it would be something close to the health and well being of the patients and the community. I did not feel this here... my step-father walked in and after a month(!) stay left under hospice care and dies just 2 days later. My mother was brought in to the ER via ambulance and did not survive the experience. Granted she was very ill, but, she was speaking when she got in the ambulance... half an hour later she was gone. My significant other was admitted to the hospital through the ER and when they couldnt control her blood-sugar levels, they accused her of being non-compliant. Her wildly varying blood chemistry is what brought us to the hospital and after a week, we were no better of... in fact we would have been better in the long run if we had never gone there due to the extreme bills and the black mark that they left on her medical record that has precluded any federal assistance.
If you are desperately ill, I guess any hospital is better than no hospital, but, if I had to make up my mind to drag myself from a burning car wreck and crawl with broken legs for a mile or go to Memorial, I would be crawling!!!
I visited the ER tonite and I musr say these nurses and doctors are very unprofessional. I had received chemo and was experiencing a myriad of side effects including body aches and joint pain etc. As I was quietly waiting someone came over and threw a specimen cup in my lap and she disappeared. No instructions no assistance and no words exchanged. I spoke to the resident vampire (she calls herself this), she loudly flicked me off and I explained to her that she was being rude. She responds by saying, No I'm not. (child-like) over and over again I said My perception is the reality. She never said Im sorry. She is rude, unapproachable and could care less about people. After sitting in waiting room for 4 hours I finally got. called to a room where Dr Foster came in and after I explained my symptoms....he non chalantly stated he was not going treat me for my body aches and pains. He said it is just going to have to wear off. (Suffer) He also stated he was not going to call my oncologist to awaken him out of his sleep for me. That was a thrashing. Im just going to give you the bare minimun and get you out of our way. How is this place prospering. Without the people there is no hospital. I felt so bad as they all but kicked me out and didn't even ask if I felt better. I left feeling like an idiot for coming. This is a race issue or a training issue. It is 2018 not 1950.
Memorial thank you for being the WORST hospital in Jacksonville!! I go to you with a pain so bad I can't sleep. I can hardly talk & you give me two paper prescriptions & tell me to go fill them @ 8:00 at night on a Saturday! No relief & no antibiotics for me. You are a waste of time & space! Your doctor is rude & your nurses aren't much better! So thank you for nothing. I have officially learned my lesson. When I need anything go to anyone but you!
I had to take my nephew to the ER and was very impressed with the short length of time we had to wait. The check in process at the Kiosk was expeditious and impressive, the staff was courteous and professional. We were in and out in less than three hours. I had recently gone to another hospital with a family member and we were there from 12 noon until 7:30 pm. To be in and out of an ER in such a timely manner meant a lot to me, because that is the reason I dred going to ERs the extremely long wait times. I was very happy with the minimal wait time, the staff and treatment my nephew received at Memorial. I would recommend this hospital's Emergency Department to anyone.
I'm getting ready to have surge there and these negative comments and low rate score is scaring me.
Great experience in emergency room! Staff is very friendly. Procedures have been done fast and painless!
I get it s an emergency room and they re super busy but there was a woman vomiting in the waiting room and they should ve had her in a room or something while she got her results. Also I went into the room for my ultrasound and there was a bag of vomit just laying on the table like nothing.
The staff was grate always told me what's was going on the hole time and keep us updated on every that's was going with me thank you to the grate people at memorial hospital
Let it be known its been years since i have had to use any medical services. My last was 2006 i was living in Daytona and severely injured 3 discs in my back number 4 5 and 61
Received excellent care in the ICU (3 nights) and one night in 4 Central. The nurses in both areas were outstanding - extremely caring and attentive to all my needs and very professional. The doctors, therapists and various techs are extremely professional, efficient and knowledgeable. Except for a few meals, I am very satisfied with the care and attention I received at Memorial Hospital.
The only reason I go to Memorial Hospital is due to the fact that my Gi Doctor is there. Dr Rosa the hospitalist is very rude and demeaning. He makes you feel worse than you already do. He is quick to discharge you instead of getting a second opinion like I asked for. I love Dr Chang he is a very caring Dr and cares and listens to his patients. Would not recommend Dr Rosa.
Awesome staff, nurses in cardio always go beyond expectations.
Gym on 8th floor well maintained and always clean.
Very wonderful staff and professional !! The doctor that I talked with before surgery was like a Angel from the heavens! He was up beat positive and great person! I believe his name is Doctor Harris I think! That s why I believe he was a angel! Didn t get to see him after or get to thank him!
My nursing staff Christine(weekend nurse) and Michael were the best I ve been help by in a long time! They are old school with how they handle and talk with you! Them made me feel very comfortable! They are top notch staff!!
Well to start with we had just arrived on vacation from Georgia when my 6 year old son had a fairly moderate accident at the skate park damaging his face. When we arrived to the hospital we were promptly greeted and escorted to the pediatric center where all the staff was very helpful and kind. The doctor was very prompt to help my son with his pain and getting him sutured up (7 stitches). My entire experience from arrival to departure was one of the best hospital experiences yet. I want to thank the staff in the pediatric center for all you help and kindness.
Everything was great! Went in for outpatient lab draw and it was easy and quick.
This used to be the best hospital in town now everytime i go here it take over 2hrs to be seen
Your imaging place is very over priced I'm going to have to find somewhere else to go .
This place should be shut down!!! The nurses and doctors are horrible!!! "Dr kenneth king is the most disgraceful dr in Jacksonville! Please stay away from there please i dont want anyone else to suffer!
it took a while before I was helped, but very nice people and once assisted I was assured by people who clearly care for their patients. Thanks Memorial Hospital
This hospital KILLED MY MOTHER. Six months ago she went in for heart valve replacement and has been in and out of every rehab and hospital ever since. Physically and mentally challenged now. You killed her, hope you enjoy your Christmas because we won't.
I loved it here. After seeing the bad reviews I freaked out to know that I was having my son here but from beginning to end (about 3 days total) was amazing. Everyone was very attentive and super helpful. The rooms were nice and comfortable. When we were leaving to take our son home me and my husband almost cried because we were on our own lol We made it but felt so spoiled we doubted we would. I will definitely be delivering my next child at Memorial and hopefully have the same doctor too.
The doctors, nurses, and entire hospital staff were very competent and professional. I was admitted through ER. My four day stay was a success story with my discharge on the way to recovery. My only complaint was the light outside my window was so bright I could not sleep; however it was addressed by maintenance even as I was leaving the room to go home. I live in Dallas, Texas, but would recommend Memorial Hospital to family and friends in JAX>
Had a medical procedure completed. The nurses were great, professional, and friendly. No complaints.
My mother was taken by rescue in heart failur to your emergency room against my wishes on Oct 9th early morning. Her nurses were wonderful; however it is Oct 10th and she is still in your emergency room lying in a gurney. She is 91 years old. How dare you!! I know you nor your loved one would be treated in this way. You have excuse after excuse. If you are at capacity send that rescue truck to another hospital. But I know it s all about money. I hope you are treated in such a manner someday. Karma is hell!!!
This place was very professional and courteous. The pre-op process was streamlined and I was in an out in just a short time. It was so fast I was worried something was missed; however, everything went just the way it should. The day of the surgery the hospital was ready and expecting me. I maybe waited 15 minutes before being taken back for surgery. They even have monitors and a text system to let everyone know your progress, whether they are at the hospital or somewhere else. I would recommend having surgery at this facility.
I've been a patient in this hospital several times over the past 9 months. from the ED to the floors, I have never been more pleased with the care and the competence of the staff. I have been a healthcare provider for 40 years and have been a patient in and worked in several area hospitals. Memorial is an excellent facility!
The staff was friendly and professional. I was pleased with my experience at Memorial hospital .
Dr Dale Mueller performed my heart surgery and made me new again. I am so thankful to Dr Mueller for allowing me to wake up every morning and kiss my wife and play with my children, he is a family man like me and that is the reason I got checked in the first place for my children who are very young. The hospital staff and nurses and everyone involved were so kind to me and my family. I highly recommend this hospital for any health care need. I highly recommend Dr Madji Ashchi and his team at Ashchi Heart and Vascular. All of my children were born here and in a sense I was reborn here with my heart surgery. Finding out you have to have heart surgery is a big shock but the attitude of Dr Mueller and staff was so positive that it put me at ease and took so much weight off of my shoulders. The positive attitudes and smiles on everyone s faces meant so much to me and my family and I can t thank you enough. I encourage everyone to get checked and get tested like I did. Even if you have no symptoms just like me. Get checked for your family, for your peace of mind and for your health. I m living proof that staying on top of things and doing preventative care is at the utmost importance. Ashchi Heart and Vascular gave me The stress test that saw a problem and the Heart Cath that diagnosed the problem and the surgery by Dr Mueller corrected the problem. Preventative care is smart and just maybe will save your life like it did mine. Heart disease is silent in some cases like mine and it packs a deadly punch. Preventative care kept me from having a heart attack or stroke or worse. If you are Skinny or Fat,Muscular,CrossFit everyday, Run everyday, Marathon runner, Body builder, Vegetarian, Meat Eater, or have Family History get checked. This affects every body type and life style.
my brother has been in the icu at memorial hospital for a couple weeks now, very ill and very limited in what he can say or do as he is paraplegic and now has a trachea. most of the nurses assigned on that particular floor 3 west have forgotten the whole reason for becoming a nurse, providing intensive care to these people who are in need of care and basic needs and today 7/15 @5pm i had been visiting over and hour without nurse rebecca entering or at least
checking on him when i arrived he kept asking me for icechips that he never got was informed of who she was by another nurse..he has no way to alert anyone if he becomes distressed , thirsty or even something simple as his forehead scratched as he is in restraints because i thought being in that unit he wouldnt need one because they would be there and attentive.when i left i addressed nurse rebecca about him complaining of pain and she acted as if i was bothering her being very short and unconcerned .i am constantly worried if hes ok because of these situations.. i wonder if these nurses ever think of their own loveones when giving such lackluster care..it was disheartening!
I had surgery last Monday in the surgical center and could not be happier with the level of attention, professionalism and service. Highly recommended
O Santiago
I was in labor n delivery. The staff was rude n moody as if they didnt wanna be at work. The doctor swore i wasnt in labor n needed to go home. Or go to UF. And informed my to drive back or have someone pick me up. Also said he wasnt inducing me. As if i wanted him to. Well i end up dilate more and staying to deliver hrs later. And they didnt circumcise my boy.
I will never go there again.
0 stars. HORRIFIC and UNETHICAL. The level of care at this hospital is disgusting and appalling. The facility lacks cleanliness, they are under staffed, and are low on medical supplies. Most of the nurses are trade-school trained rather than college educated, are in their first year of employment, lacked professionalism, and are negligent. The nurses left the patient soiled for hours, they would not feed the patient, they often skipped administering doses of medication, and would not come to the room to do these basic tasks when called. The doctors at this hospital are negligent, disrespectful, and condescending. The case workers were a nightmare, lied, tried intimidation tactics, and failed to submit paperwork correctly, IF AT ALL. They lacked the ability to treat the patient yet refused to release the patient, all the while collecting health insurance money day after day while no treatment was being done. The moment health insurance stopped payment we were rushed out with no instructions or supplies and the patient was in FAR WORSE condition than when they were admitted. This is common practice for Memorial as the management company, HCA (owned by Rick Scott), had the largest medicare FRAUD lawsuit IN THE COUNTRY. The hospital itself had the biggest MALPRACTICE case in FL. The executive board is useless and does not have the patient s best interest at heart. The facility runs at a disgustingly low standard, just enough to ensure they make profits. Every procedure the patient had here was BOTCHED. It's very apparent from setting foot in this facility the type of patient they are used to serving. I have never witnessed or been treated thus in my life. DO YOUR RESEARCH! Do not get involved with this hospital. Take your health and go elsewhere.
Everyone was terrific- I was admitted for a procedure- they took time to explain everything to me and where extremely patient with my numerous questions Truly a great place to be treated
Staff was great and kept me informed about my progress. The only bad thing I have to say is not very comfortable beds are horrible couldn't get any rest.
Received the attention and care I needed quickly. Was treated with respect and genuine concern for my wellbeing by everyone involved. Glad Memorial Hospital is near my home!
The doctor helped me control the pain in my wrist from extreme tendinitis when no one else would! The staff wS understanding and amazingly helpful!!!I will go back here if needed!!
I went to Women's Center 2nd floor to deliver my princess. The staff in L& D was amazing!! Ms Jill, Samara, Christine, all the nurses who cared for me were knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely reccomend this hospital to pregnant women.
I m here now and this like the 3rd time the lady in the triage comes off completely the wrong way, I m here seeking help and she tells me , a black and proud woman that nothing here in this emergency room will help me if I m here for tooth ache, back ache, leg ache , I don t care what it is I m here and I m hurting help me don t tell me nothing here can help me
This hospital with its staff are not reliable and are racist and / or discriminative . They selective on patients whom of which might be some serious pain say in the leg and just got out of surgery and surgeon
Does write a script while your in the hospital for anything for pain that s terrible in my opinion . They choose who to believe and who not to believe. Who they like or not like they re judgmental especially to mental health patients so if you need to go to the hospital don t come to memorial hospital. That are being reported
Staff was friendly and fast service. I went in abdominal pain and received a CT scan that revealed server diverticulitis. I was instructed by the physician that I could be admitted and I would see surgeons that would want to operate and they know want money and was advised not to go. I called my GI nurse and she instructed me to go to Baptist and bring a copy of the CT. Glad I listened because Memorial missed a micro perforation. I was admitted for two nights for observation on antibiotics via IV around the clock. I felt the doctor was more interested in being laid back than what was best, and was shocked they missed the perforation, this could have been a lot worse had I listened to him.
taken good care of. polite and professional staff. generally nice people
My wife is a patient at the Pavillion and it has been a HORRIBLE experience. Everyone has given us the run around, she was never informed of her rights, there's nothing to do, poor food, awful beds, visitation hours are only one hour at night and only 4 days a week. The doctor is the only one who can discharge patients and instead of staying until he has seen everyone, he walked by everyone who was left at the end of his shift, asked a couple general questions, and left. It's like being a prisoner. Please take your loved ones elsewhere. Please. For your safe and theirs.
My Father passed on November 29th. The care he was given was very good. which is why I'm not rating it a one star. The run around we were given from the emergency room staff was unforgivable. They lost his personal items such as his car keys and wallet and apparently had no consequences for their action and their inability to to find them. . I'll make sure none of my family goes here for any emergency. There are plenty hospitals in Jacksonville. .
The doctors and nursing staff were outstanding with care and bedside manners.
Memorial hospital is also good for any bariatric needs you may have.
