I had gall bladder and hernia surgery performed at Memorial. Pre-opt and surgery day went smooth and fine. My Doctor and His staff along with the hospital staff were excellent! (Dr. Afshari)

This hospital is filthy . My nurse was no where to be found and when I asked another nurse for help she kept saying in the rudest tone I m not your nurse . 2 of my cousins who are RN nurses quit because of how shady they are. I was misdiagnosed at first and they don t give a damn about human life . I wouldn t bring a dog here.

My wife in desperation went to memorial outcare clinic on atlantic and kernan. They stopped her nosebleed with gauze. Cost was almost four thousand dollars for 2 hours time. They would not relent on the price and sent us to a charity. What a joke. Currently putting together a packet with the EOB's and sending to my state rep and my congress man Mr Rutherford

I have been to Memorial Hospital on several different occasions for my sons breathing treatment and always received amazing customer service until today. My sons nurse today was Rachel. She was a RN in emergency services today. Although she was nice and very playful with my son, She made a comment to me that I found very disrespectful and sort of racist. After my son was treated and the registar came in, she came back in the room with the discharge papers. She stated the condition he had, the medicine that was prescribed and how it should be taken and she said that he should follow up with is PCP in 2 weeks, I advised that the doctor( Kimberly Lord) stated that he should follow up within 2 days she said " well do whatever you wanna do ". She then stated that the ER now has a dispense machine for RX if you have your MEDICAID card with you. I asked " Who said that I have Medicaid? She stated " I thought that was the insurance you have". I asked " how did you make that assumption?. She stated that she just thought that I had Medicaid. I told her that I do not have Medicaid and shouldn't make assumptions based on what she thinks or sees. She then stated that most people have Medicaid insurance when they come to the ER. I told her the correct verbiage to use would be " If you have your INSURANCE card you can go to the ER dispense machine ". She then stormed out of room and closed the door without a apology. The registar apologized and told me that he was sorry about that. I'm not sure if she was having a bad or was not feeling well but for her assume that I had Medicaid was very disrespectful and rude. Please don't take this comment has if there is something wrong with having Medicaid but I do believe that she could of use a different choice of words and could of at least apologized. I work-in a hospital setting as well so I know that sometimes we can be overwhelmed but to insult someone and not apologized for it is unacceptable in my opinion.

Arrived, with doc waiting to meet me and administer MRI. Was kept waiting, unattended, in transport chair for 7 hours, instead of being seen. Then was given MRI and left, unattended in transport chair for another 5 hours. (Arrived at 11am, finally given half a gurney to lay on at 11:34 pm.) Was told there were "no rooms", yet patients who arrived 7 hours after I had were given rooms before me.

When finally admitted, had doctors giving lethal orders, without ever meeting or talking ot me, and nursing staff ready to follow those orders.

So much went wrong here. There was complete negligence on the part of all staff. I am lucky to be alive.

I'm waiting right now for a patient admitted at 1100 for a surgery scheduled at Noon. He was just taken to the OR. 6.5 hours late. The worst part .. customer service and communication. If you are running late say why. And if so, your best guess as to how late. Have taken many family members for surgeries around the country. Never never seen such unprofessionalism. Get your act together guys.

Thank you to the RN's that took care of me on the 5th floor! Shout out to Lisa and Lisa and an absolute adoring thank you from the bottom of my heart to Amy Davis RN! She was by far the most kind person I've met, as well as professional, caring, and hands down most helpful as far as going above and beyond her job description! God forbid I ever need to go back but if I have to i would go out of my way to request her care! Thank you Amy Davis! I'll never forget you!

My husband had a major heart attack at Julington Creek, Memorial ED and then was taken directly to Memorial for a cardiac cath that saved his life. The treatment he received during his stay and follow up has been terrific. The hospital was clean, friendly and safe (even at 4:30 in the morning)The staff and leadership showed me that memorial may have had a bad rap in the past but definitely shined for us! To everyone that took care of us and to those behind the scenes...Thank you!

What a bad time for such a short stay. This was supposed to be a very happy time enjoying my newborn at one point during my short stay i had a woman come into my room to check on me stating she noticed no one has been in to check on me or take vitals on me or my newborn and she was very disappointed in her staff. It didnt help though because even after her acknowledging this i still didn't see anyone. Im very appreciative of one overnight nurse that was the only one to come in every hour or so to check on things and us i was very sad when her shift would end and she would have to leave. The dayshift was the bad experience I even felt bad for pushing the nurse button to ask for any sort of help with anything or even water because the first time i finally did they made me feel like a bothersome doing so. I tried not to ask for anything unless i really had to. I had a hand pump i was using to try and get my milk going and i had only pumped a small amount when a nurse and came in and seen it. She grabbed the hand pump with the small amount of milk in the bottle and said we can use this, i was confused at what she ment and i watched her put the small amount in a small cup they use to give meds in then she pick up my newborn and at this point i was like uhh what are you doing? And she said we're going to give baby this milk and ahe started to pour a small amount into my newborns mouth and he sort of gasped like he was going to choke. In shock i said what are you doing he could choke! She said no its ok ive been doing this a long time its fine i said no! Im sorry but im not ok with that ill just nurse him! She looked at me like i had really offended her and from that point on was very rude the remainder of my stay. Thats only a small portion the bad experience in my short stay. I've written about my experiences in a letter to the head of the maternity department. I hope it helps, id hate for someone to have such an experience as i did as they are trying to bond and enjoy their newborn.

Waited 8.5 hrs never seen Dr only was given x rays for a fractured ankle 3 hrs later after waiting nearly 2hrs before that while in waiting room in pain after the x rays they came back gave me 2 prescriptions to take home I figured I was going to get ready to see Dr next nope still wait 2 more hrs after hopping to desk cuz the would not give me wheel chair and said I was leaving it this was crazy the Dr came to waiting room half hour later with a splint that was too small for my leg and crutches and sent me home no discharge papers and called it good... Bad service

I was greeted with warm reception. The staff were all amazing, thorough and empathetic while listening to my concern, pain and discomfort. If I ever need an emergency Dr. and staff, I would definitely choose Memorial ER on Racetrack in Julington Creek.

They discharged me after I had told them my water broke, they ran test and told me everything was fine and later discharged me, mind you I'm a first time mom so I wasn't too certain or educated on giving birth, I just knew I lost alot of fluid and something wasn't right, long story short my daughter was pushed out the next day as a still born deprived of oxygen. My son was died 3 hours later after birth 11/17/2016 worse day of my life #Murraytwins Rest in Heaven

Great facility, very fast..but more importantly they show such a willingness to assist. I want to give a special thanks to Iyonna Winters from the PCT-ER department. My girlfriend was treated for an abscess tooth. Upon registration Iyonna quickly noticed my gf blood pressure bieng severe which we had no clue about. Not only did she enable for her to be treated for a completely separate issue but she broke down the effects and severity of the situation for us to get a better understanding. Had we not gone here my gf would most likely still be living the same lifestyle not knowing that she has severe blood pressure. Thank you miss Iyonna and the staff at this hospital you guys are amazing.

Came in with a knee injury so bad I can t walk. Didn t even see a doctor, just got radiographs taken, an ace bandage, and a prescription for ibuprofen...are you kidding me?!?!?! I can t even walk!

Really bad customer service, we definitely did not feel like we mattered here. Staff were crabby, talking amongst them about irrelevant topics all night, and of course forgot to meet one of the Dr s orders which meant we had to stay an additional 3 hours after then6 hours we d already spent there. Never going back again.

I had my first trip to the ER ever in my life tonight. I'd rather not say "I loved it" per se (because who on earth WANTS to end up on the ER), but I give it 5 stars and I came on here to post this review because of how nicely I was treated. When I was triaged, the two nurses I had were very friendly. When I was admitted, the paramedic who inserted my Iv catheter was gentle. I was a little nervous and I'm not a fan of needles, but I barely felt it. The nurses who took care of me were really nice and explained everything that was wrong to me and answered my questions, even the stupid ones. When I was waiting to be discharged they made conversation with me. Overall I was comfortable.

My sister is in the ER right now with a heart condition and they are totally ignoring her in her room. She even removed her monitors and no one even came in to check. She has been there for hours and the nurses don't check. Horrible horrible place. I am calling their quality department on Monday.

Between the unheard of "needing another doctor to ...

Between the unheard of "needing another doctor to admit" after a surgeon with hospital privileges had already set up for direct admit and then the waste of over 4 hours before a bed was ready and then another hour before the medication list was finally updated, my already low opinion of this hospital plummeted further. I wasn't comfortable whatsoever with the level of care expectation however, didn't have a choice because one of the doctors involved directly in my care only had privileges at this hospital. The administration trying to blame the surgeon for the shortcomings of the way this hospital is run is ludicrous. If given a choice, this hospital would be my very LAST choice to go to. My advice to any potential patient, Do your research and if at all possible, avoid this place. Until a complete sweep in upper management is made, I sincerely doubt protocol will improve and do wholeheartedly feel as if it is a risk to life and limb to go here. The incompetence that we experienced here is beyond next level and has no business in the field of medicine and patient care. Steer far away.

Where to start? Wife was here 3 days without a change a of sheets/gown or bath. I had to help with the Bed Pan, because the nurse took an hour and a half to get there. (This is the truth!). When she finally showed, she said they were understaffed. What if something went seriously wrong? There is so much more, I could say, but enough said.

This hospital employs some of the most kind, compassionate, caring, and empathetic staff I have ever had the pleasure of sharing time with. My mother was there for 2 full weeks. While there her pain level was always high, which is why she was admitted. They were so gentle, patient, and attentive to her needs. I completely trusted that they wanted to give her the best care possible. They certainly didn't disappoint. So, from the bottom of my heart, mine and the rest of her very large family. Thank you! Thank you for treating her as though she was your own mom. Thank you for gladly allowing us to flood her room with all the people/family. Thank you for dealing with me snoring in your ears almost every night. Thank you for celebrating her 38th year of being my mom with us. Thank you for giving her your love! The Grieve family sincerely appreciates all of you at Memorial Hospital.

You may be wondering after all that why I gave this hospital only 4 stars. It's such a simple fix that I feel bad taking the star away for it. However, it effected me the entire time she was there so I feel it necessary to voice. I had to sleep sitting up every time I stayed the night. I wasn't able to stay every night because of the physical strain it put on my neck. The fact that the chairs in the rooms don't recline is hard to wrap my head around. Don't you think they would want the families to be involved in the care of their loved ones? This was a deterrent for me. I wanted to stay, and probably would have, every night if the chair had reclined.

To memorial hospital - Help me help my mom! Also, help all of the other families that would probably like to be more helpful but can't sleep sitting up . Is there anything that can be done about that?

We still appreciate you!

If you have PTSD beware. The staff really needs some training on what it is and how to help their patients who have it. They do not seem to care if you need special accommodations or considerations to help you do what they are asking you to do. They simply want you to obey them and will go toe to toe with you if you cannot due to fears from PTSD. In our situation the Dr was aware of his PTSD and my husband told the tech and nurse this and they refused to ask the Dr. what they needed to do to help him prepare for the procedure. It would have taken 2 seconds to do so. My husbands doctor is fantastic - We wish he had credentials at Baptist.

I realize Memorial Hospital is more of a trauma center, nonetheless, it doesn't leave a very good impression when there are no rooms available and you spend the night before surgery in the ER. Then spend quite a long time in the recovery ward before getting a room. Also not getting your prescription medications that are on file, for two nights in a row after asking for them several times.

Its the WORST Hospital. Just for Headache ended up in Emergency Room and Hospital charged $1,458+952= Total $2,410.00 Hospital just gave me 1 headache tablet and charged Unbelievable high price. Its totally fraud and white collar crime. I was just sitting 20 to 30 minutes on Bench in ER and Hospital charged $2,410.00 totally horrible. Do not know Where to go and cry or complaint. Do not know what the City, County, State or Federal governments do. Except at the time of election they get donations from those Hospitals and allowing hospitals to Rob and kill patients financially. I will never ever go in this hospital again Instead will go in any Urgent Care they only charge $80 to $120 including xrays / tests and everything. No one should ever go there except if someone is on Government support and does not have to pay from his own pocket. WORST Hospital just for 1 headache tablet charged $2,410.00

On Sunday, November 15th, I had an accident at home in South Florida, in our kitchen when a ceramic bowl I was washing slipped from my grasp and struck the granite countertop and literally exploded.
A large piece with a razor sharp edge travelled upward from the impact and on it's way back down lacerated my left ring finger just above the knuckle.
This all happened in a few milliseconds and I didn't even know it until my Wife started screaming because of all of the blood that was profusely dripping on the tile floor.
She pleaded with me to go to the ER to get stiches, but I refused and instead opted to wrap it up with some Neosporin.
It was very painful for a few days but soon it finally began healing.
On November 24th, I was in Jacksonville, on an extended layover with my job as a Linehaul truck driver. I woke up around 5 PM and noticed that my left ring finger where I suffered the injury felt tingly and somewhat numb.
It had swollen to the point that it appeared my wedding band was cutting off the blood supply to the finger.
I began to feel a huge amount of anxiety and fear that if I didn't somehow get my ring off that I could lose my finger.
After trying for about an hour with no success I decided I had no other choice than to go to the ER.
Memorial Hospital of Jacksonville was the closest ER and a fellow driver drove me there.
I was impressed from the time we walked through the door.
Your facility is clean, everyone was friendly and professional. I don't think I had to wait more than about 30 minutes before I was taken to the back to be seen.
The attending physician evaluated me and knew exactly what needed to be done.
It took several tries, but the ring finally came off.
He prescribed a coarse of antibiotics and told me to keep it protected, and that it should heal up fine.
It's been about a week and I have finished the antibiotics. I still can't get my ring back on yet, but the swelling is almost all gone and seems to be healing nicely.
I am 61 years old and try my best to stay out of hospitals. But I can honestly say that my experience at Memorial Hospital of Jacksonville was a pleasant one, and I want to thank all of the staff and physicians that took such good care of me.
Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Robert Dallas.

Sitting in the ER waiting room with people that ha...

Sitting in the ER waiting room with people that have been triaged and are puking. The reason is that they do not have rooms in the back. They are getting personal info from patients for registration in the lobby waiting area calling them back for X-ray, ct scans, and blood work and the sending them back to the lobby. Doctors are seeing patients in the lobby as well in front of other people. People are arriving by ambulance and being put in the front lobby as well due to no rooms. If the Er is that bad then they should start telling EMS to take patients to other local ERs for better and faster care. Needless to say I will not be coming back here for ER services. Short staffed and after 3 hours of waiting in the lobby after X-rays blood work and ct scan I get a room. I will be asking for an itemized bill for services to see how many hours they bill for room.

This hospital was a complete joke. Let me tell you that your rights will be violated and you will be treated worse than cattle. Let me begin by saying I went there bcuz my doctor suggested to go there for my hernia issue. I got there at 11 am and was taken back immediately but that's where the gross invasion of my privacy began. I was taken to the back where they but me with 7 to 10 other people waiting to get blood drawn and a iv started. They were asking information about me as well as other hospital guests right in front of others which is a violation of hippa. While waiting in a area smaller than a jail cell with all those people a nurse behind me was cleaning up someone's vomit from the sink area flicking the vomit onto me. Then after that I was herded to the other area that wasn't much bigger. Sat there for five hours wasn't ask if I was ok. Then I witnessed a elderly woman disoriented and vomiting hit by a door. Bcuz they had so many people shoved into a small area. One elderly man was saying he felt like he was going to pass out but the nurse acted like it was a inconvenience to help either elderly people. Also there was no personal space or a bed for all these ill people. After I had enough of the absolute disregard for these people I wanted to file a complaint. I was told that they wanted to get me taken care of as well they sent me back to the er department saying they would get the issues resolved. I was assured that I wouldn't have to go through that again. ..well needless to say they tried to get me to go through that again. I have never ever seen such a horribly ran hospital. They have no concern for people's privacy rights or keeping them comfortable while they are going through their illness. I would have left a lot sooner if I could've gotten someone to help take my iv out sooner!!!!

Thank you so much for your prompt help in finding my sister. I phoned from Germany, trying to find my sister who has been in a hospital for the last 2 days and we didn't know where or how to find her. No phone contact or details. The young lady on the phone was amazing. So kind and caring. Thank you so much for finding the hospital she was located in and also the telephone number. and even though she wasn't in your hospital, you could have told me to google..you didn't. I thank you so much for that. Greetings and have a great day.

This was by the far the WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!

This was by the far the WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!
I waited for 3 hours to go back into a room that was separated by curtains no beds "patients" people sitting in what looks like "fold out" chairs ??? You can hear the staff speaking of patient diagnosis and what they'll being doing next. No PRIVACY this has to be against HIPPA VIOLATIONS!! After making it up mate back in the tiny curtain slot they had the Nerve to tell me they LOST MY URINE SAMPLE

The ER refused to take a list of my medications I am on twice, they would not look at my insurance cards 3 times they let me sit in the hall not a room ER while every other nurse or doctor told me something different as to if I was being admitted or not, after six hours of diarrhea and vomiting in the ER they finally give me a pill for pain I asked if the doctor was aware I was still throwing up my concern of throwing it up and the nurse and or doctor didn't care and about 15 minutes later I vomited. Horrible staff and hospital. Don't go here. If I get a letter asking for my insurance cards or get a bill that they haven't billed through my insurance first I will file harassment charges and more

I was cared for but prescribed me something that was so expensive that the pharmacy cancelled even without me knowing and according to the Publix pharmacy I use it's something that's very rarely used so I'm going to have to suffer with my issues until it goes away or if I have to seek more treatment. I was shown something over the counter that might help but wasn't for what I needed. Thank you memorial I'm sure the 3 hours I spent there is going to cost me 5,000 dollars I do have insurance and was told my insurance doesn't cover it... Why prescribe me something that my insurance doesn't cover. I don't know I'm not a doctor.

Fred Thompson is the most incompetent nurse practitioner I have ever had the pleasure of being seen by. my boyfriend just had a positive strep test at a walk in clinic so when i woke up and couldn't swallow I figured I better get on antibiotics right away, but without running the test it seems Nurse Fred Thompson is able to diagnose by osmosis and refused to run the test to positively confirm my suspicion and is relying on his "misguided medical intuition," to do diagnostics these days! if you care about the person whom you are bringing to the hospital, i highly suggest you take them ANYWHERE but Memorial Hospital!

Fraudulent billing. They have tried to charge me for over a year for a bill that was paid in full by the insurance company. The insurance company has sent them proof of payment 3 separate times. Every time I have called Memorial Billing (20+ times), they are unwilling to help, and say they have not received a payment, and I will need to call the insurance company again. When I spoke to a manager, Sheryl, she was unwilling to help. Terrible customer service, and very unhelpful representatives.

Every time I have to run to this ER it is a very good experience. The doctors are right on track with diagnosis, there is really not a long wait and most important I feel they have my best interest at heart.

These people can not make small talk and it takes an ungodly amount of time for you to get into a room to see the doctor I got here at 2pm and I'm in the waiting room still it is 6pm. One of the nurses I spoke to I asked a simple question about my vaccination and she didnt not know and was very rude about the fact she did not know. I wouldn't prefer coming here if it's an emergency because chances are if your not dying your gonna suffer a wile Waiting for you special care .

Excellent hospital

Excellent hospital
My father has been close to lose his life several times due to GI bleeding and the team of skilfull gastroenterologyst ( Dr. George Nassar & partners ) and now the surgeon have given my father back. Theyre not only knowleable physicians but caring human beings. Nurse team, radiology techs, transport clerks, all personnel are very kind. On this occasion dietisian & cardiologist had to be consulted and the experience has been as good as before. 100% recommended.

The care we received by the Emergency Room staff, and Physicians was above the Standard of Care. The compassion they showed to my family was bordeline Excelent. Also the care in the Intensive Care Unit was outstanding. The Nursing add Pulmonary Care personel treated us like family. Showing us compassion and such tender, gracious care. My husband was transferred to Hospice. The Hospital staff made this transition seamless to us. At our time of accepting and dealing with the emminent death that was looming over the famly was extremly difficult. Memorial's staff in general was an asset to us, we have a very warm place in our hearts for the manner in which we were treated. I cannot sing their praises high or loud enough for the benefits we received at this troubled time in our lives. So wish I could recall names, but, unfortunately that information is just not in this greaving brain of mine.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to express our gratitude. Blessings, The Alfred L. Bass family.

The staff was absolutely outstanding and extremely professional during my visit. I felt comfortable and was informed of next steps from beginning to end. Safety protocols to protect staff and patients were quite evident. Thank you for a great experience and successful outcome. My family and I are eternally grateful to all involved.

Sincerely,
Jeff Rogers

They treat everyone that comes in as they are a criminal! The nurse just walk stand the doctors are just yelling at the patients and treating people like with no consideration that you are not feeling well. People go to get help not to be disregarded and disrespect!

I definitely recommend the Women's Center at this hospital. I had surgery in the labor and delivery area and it was the best experience I have ever had . This the same surgery I have had 2 other times and this time I went home very comfortable with no pain. The nurses and anesthesiologist made sure I was not in pain or nauseated before and after my surgery along with my doctor. My nurses were Samara and Kim, both awesome, kind, and caring people. When it's time to have a baby I would be lucky to be here again.

I recently had my baby there and was treated like a disease! I was put on contact precaution and told i'll be cleared when my labs came back. They did not get cleared until i was being discharged at 10pm at nite. If the emergency room can have labs cleared in 2 hours why couldn't it have been done the same way in L & D??? The nurses do not like to work together. I was being induced and ruptured a membrane where i bled alot! The nurse didn't want to change my bedding until my husband and midwife told her too. I was breastfeeding and when the lactation counselor came to my room she stood at the door! I told her my concerns about breastfeeding and my baby latching on, she would not enter my room to provide the help i was asking for. I was even told if i didn't have good things to say, don't do a survey i would have received after my visit. I could go on and on about my stay. I would never have a baby here again!

I was treated well by the doctors. However, after surgery in the recovery room it was dispiriting. I was in the recovery room for 3 hours. The original tech person was kind. However, she left for lunch without telling me. I progressively got worse. When telling the lady in charge of recovery (short, older lady, with short grey hairI) I was feeling terrible, she said, "we are too busy." Walked away with no eye contact as I shivered in my bed. I heard this same lady laughing and having a good time with people who had no problems in recovery. All I heard from all was, "why are all these bells going off." She never came over until another lady heard my complaints and came by. My daughter, who was in the waiting room for 3 hours was never contacted until a candy striper was told to go to the waiting room and she was brought in. I was then dismissed quickly and never told what to do when I got home. I saw this same lady on my way out just looking at her computer. I will change my doctor to find one affiliated with a different hospital.

Have had mostly an amazing experience at Memorial Hospital. My first over night stay the nurses on that floor (#5) were amazing, my favorite nurse was Deb and her helper was Betty and they made my stay the best i think i have ever had at a hospital. The next stay was just as good i was on floor #4 those nurses were so nice and also made the stay comfortable.
my next stay was on floor 3 and the staff on that floor made me seem like i was a burden and i didn't want to be in the hospital another minute.
As far as every other visit for outpatient procedures etc. the staff has treated me tremendously and i the ladies in short stay are so, so wonderful especially Shemeka. If there were 6 stars i would mark 6. With only one bad experience i think the ratio is pretty good over about 25 visits. Thank you and please keep up the good work.

I was taken to Er on memorial hospital with 2nd to 3rd degrees burn, they hooked up oxygen monitoring device. Said the doctor would be there soon, 30 mins later the doctor showed up, took my information and ordered tetenus shot and pain meds, the nurse came 30 minutes later and gave me the shots, she said she would be right back , 1 hour later the doctor came and told me someone will come and clean my wounds, another 1 hr later, some lazy Male nurse comes to clean my wounds, he didnt clean my wounds at all, he put on his gloves and applied cream over my burns and I had dirt and wrapped the wounds then gave me discharge papers. Not cleaning the wound left me venerable to infections. I'm never going to memorial or ever will recommend anyone there, I've never had such a bad experience in a hospital. The people In that Emergency room are soo rude @ that front Desk, & Some of those Doctors & Nurses need to understand that when you need help or your Disabled your limited to what you're able to do when walking through the doors.. & Just because someone may have put you in a Fowl mood doesn't give you the right to treat the next individual who walks through the door like there crap, I witnessed this first hand 2 days in a row. Its bad enough there isn't room for people to sit comfortably, I ,mean those people are sitting on top of each other, But to be treated unfairly as if the next person owes them something is just plain horrible..& Karma is always around the corner..So I hope one of your many unruly staff members will see this & understand that 1 day, Someone they truly Love will walk through those doors, If not there, Some other place..& They better Hope & Pray there Loved ones aren't treated the way they are treating others..Sad.

I had surgery at the Plaza Center. The staff
could not have been more professional, friendly, and kind. From my super nurse, Joann, and my anesthesiologist, to my surgeon, Dr. Farid Hakim, my experience was very pleasant. Thanks to all that cared for me.

My sister was a patient and checked in at the Mandarin ED. They saved her life! We were then transported to the main campus and received exceptional love and care from the entire Memorial Staff. Folks are quick to complain about everything and unfortunately air it out on the internet. I wanted to take a moment to say THANKS and that this hospital did a great job.

I was in and out so fast. The Dr immediately came in and I had an iv w meds in no time. I am a scared individual when it comes to things being put in my body but the nurses were wonderful. I had a migraine that I could not kick and had been dry heaving all day. I am beyond thankful for the Dr and nurses. I was in a room in less than 5 minutes!!!

Should have known it was an HCA hospital judging by the treatment. Waited AN HOUR AND A HALF to be seen, wasn t even seen. For context: I had chest pain and I am pregnant, with an extensive heart history. Horrible. No one checked on me OR baby, so I left and went somewhere competent. Don t go here unless you want to die.

Unsure as to what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised to find a caring, professional and efficient staff. Everyone I dealt with, from the registrar to the discharge nurse was truly wonderful. Thanks to the great people at Memorial.

I go back year after year to have my mammo done at Memorial. The staff is incredible, the process is easy, and they are always so caring and respectful. See you again next year!

I was left in the waiting room at the ER until a room open so that I can be seen. I arrived at 5pm and left at midnight. It took 2 nurses and 6 attempts to draw blood. Now I am trying to get my medical records from that ER visit to go else where and they won t release MY records to me. Should ve went to Baptist Medical

This is my first time at this hospital, just moved...

This is my first time at this hospital, just moved to Jacksonville from Kissimmee. The worst experience so far and it's because of one nurse in particular and boy is she RUDE! The worst bed side manners I've ever had! Her name is Sheila and she works in the observation area of the hospital. I have the right to be treated with respect first and foremost. I've been nothing but cordial and I'm thinking she either hates me or her job, possibly both!! Definitely a night and day difference from last night's nurse Coasha! The best nurse I've ever had and then shift change comes and it's just horrible! All I'm asking is for my meds to be close to on time and this IV is just KILLING ME! This awful nurse wants to take it out but she can't say that I'll get a new IV put in any time soon. I'm a very sick person with Addison disease and dealing with chronic diverticulitis so the pain is unbearable at this point so I'm thinking I can't just chill all day waiting for an IV. The Doctor wants to actually admit me to the other floor and thank freaking god for that! I hit the call button over 5 minutes ago to tell them my IV is burning like a mother effer but nobody responds! Glad I'm not having a stroke cuz they wouldn't have a clue if I died in this room. My experience here has been completely ruined due to Sheila's terrible attitude and lack of any bed side manners. I would recommend this hospital to everyone but if u get Sheila, run! Run as fast as you can!
