Awesome service and setup, but a premium price for coming your own food. A great place for groups or dates, with meals being stretched out over longer periods of time. The fondue options are extensive, with numerous cheeses; broth, wine, and oil bases; and plenty of chocolate dessert options.

Went here for Magical Dining which was a minor savings over normal price. The 4 course meal option is a lot of food. Like a whole lot. You can choose from a few fondues, broths for poaching/boiling your entree, and a chocolate dip for dessert but you have to agree as a table on which one. The brie and bacon fondue was good. The mojo cooking style paired excellently with the pork and chicken. The steak was good too but it didn't pick up as much flavor.

I came with some girlfriends for their Ladies Night Out deal. We got a lot of food with it - two choices of cheese, broth and chocolate then we each got a salad with it. I got the Caesar and it was drenched in dressing and smothered in cheese - if I go back I will definitely ask for less of both. We were all stuffed by the end of the meal (we were there nearly 2.5 hours) and it was reasonably priced. Fun for a special occasion with a group of people but I don t see going for a casual date night.

While it may seem weird to start a review about a restaurant discussing the restrooms, I think the level of cleanliness says a lot about the quality of the establishment. Both the male and female restrooms were among cleanest I have seen. There is even a diaper changing station in the mens room. They were well-stocked and smelled amazing!

If you're looking to celebrate a special occasion or just want to grab a quick bite you can't go wrong at The Melting Pot. They run specials from time to time bringing the overall cost significantly down.

Haley Anderson has been a server at The Melting Pot for three years. She is a gleaming example of the staff employed by The Melting Pot. They always go above and beyond to make the experience fun for all ages. I have been multiple times with children as young as five. It's a great family atmosphere, or a romantic destination.

Come hungry, leave happy.

Growing up my Grandfather always said "it's not an event it's just a meal."

Nothing could be farther from the truth when eating at The Melting Pot.

Great food a fun experience. Do go knowing you will be there an hour or longer. Only negative is that the vents are not strong enough at this location and my group had stem in our faces 60% of the time

Food lacks flavor but def a romantic date place for sure. Had a blast with dipping our food into the cheese even made games out of it. Again great date night place, high $ though so be warned. Service good and place is clean.

We went on a Monday evening for happy hour and ordered a cheese fondue and chocolate fondue. Between the two of us we had 8 drinks. All was delicious and came out to a little over $50 without tip. Fabulous!

Great novelty dinner but the high price for having to cook my own food is astonishingly high... Cheese fondue is great as well as the chocolate but I could have ate at a Ruth Chris for less. Second time and definitely the last time.

It can be a bit pricey but you pay for the ambiance and experience. My boyfriend and I come here at least twice a year because we absolutely love it here. Always a wonderful dinner date for two.

Unfortunately, my wife and I had a bad experience here. When we arrived early, we found out the reservation was wrong. It was a fifteen minute difference. We were told a table will be available at our specified time. So we waited for about 45 minutes for our new reservation time. When our time came, we approached the hostess to let her know we were ready. The hostess stated our table was ready due to a cancellation 15 minutes earlier. We asked the hostess why we weren't notified about the cancellation when she knew we were waiting. She just went back staring at her computer screen and ignored our question. While waiting to be seated my wife went to wash her hands. When she came back, her hands were still wet. At this time, the manager was behind the hostess's podium with three other hostesses. My wife advised to all four of them there were no more paper towels in the bathroom. The manager just stated thank you and went back talking with the hostesses, completely ignoring my wife while her hands were still wet. My wife commented was anybody going to get a paper towel for her. A hostess left and took too long to bring the paper towels, so my wife just wiped her hands on her pants. Last was the server. It felt like we had to pull his teeth to get answers to our questions pertaining to the different meals in the menu. The server disappeared for long periods of time. During the entire meal, I never had a refill of my drink. The only time the server asked about a refill was after we were finished with our dessert. I bought a $80 meal for two with a $40 Groupon and I spent an extra $40 in the end for drinks and dessert. For the amount of money we spent here, the service should have been top notch. If I knew this was going to happen here, I would have spent more money and gone to Moonfish, instead of wasting our time and money here. If this is how you treat customers with a Groupon, then don't advertise on Groupon. We will not be going back to this place and I will advise others the same thing.

I love this location and there Mon-Wens special for 2 is great. Food is great and atmosphere is quite and romantic. Great place for a date. I suggest getting Dalibar for your waiter. Very tentative and friendly. One time my phone was dying, he went on his own accord and got his charger so my phone would't die.

The fondue and salads were delicious. Also the service was terrific and very knowledgeable. Only thing that was missing was a timer to properly monitor the cooking time for the different food.

This was an experience and certainly not a normal meal... time-wise at least. It is a little bit like a Japanese steakhouse where the cooking method is the real star. Dinner was a bit over 3 hours. Drinks, atmosphere and service were all excellent.
After a salad, two seasoned cooking sauces were started heating up and then some vegetables and meat arrived to be cooked on skewers by the diners. When that was finished two chocolate sauces (flavored differently) were put on the heat and followed by fruits, marshmallows, etc. to be dipped, also on skewers.

Flavor of the food was generally pretty good and if you've never done this, it is definitely worth experiencing.

This is a fondue restaurant. I see all these reviews about how you have to cook your own food and therefore it's over priced, and etc... and I just shake my head. Fine. If you think you can do better at home, then feel free.
My wife and I have been coming to this restaurant for almost 25 years. It's an experience. It's a fun place to have conversation and enjoy mouthfuls of delicious goodness. I'm a big guy, and I have never left this restaurant feeling like I didn't have enough to eat.
If your expectations are of being packed to the gills with food, there are plenty of all-you-can-eat establishments in the area.
But there is a special place in my heart for the Melting Pot.
And here's a pro-tip for you... you have to plan ahead, but there is a table called the Love Shack. It's a small, intimate alcove, deep in the restaurant, that you can enjoy without anyone being able to see you and your date.
This is an establishment that invites a long, relaxing, conversation-filled meal. Bring some friends!
We will definitely be back again and again and again...

I was provided with great service! I am a single parent and take my daughter out on date nights often. On this particular night we decided to go to The Melting Pot in Longwood, without a reservation! We waited less then 5 minutes before being sat, and being able to enjoy our meal! I was surprised because it was a Friday, and without reservation, I thought for sure there would be a wait; but the hostesses got us right in! I was grateful for the server, she was the absolute best! Sometimes with a party of two, one adult and one child with no alcohol being served, I find that we can be pushed off or ignored; THIS WAS NOT THE CASE WITH THIS SERVER! She treated us just as she would any other table and made sure we had everything we needed. My daughter and I had a great Friday night date night; and I definitely plan on going back, and next time asking for a reservation with our server Emily. She really passed the bar with not only great service, but also just being a nice and considerate person! Way to go Emily! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

We always come with a groupon or for their 2 for $50 special. We ve been in a few times but it s always a fantastic experience. Delicious food and something so different from other places. There service you receive really fits a higher end restaurant so it s always an experience rather than just a meal

Always a fun experience, especially for a date or group. My wife and I get the 4 course meal (for one) with 4 entree items and it is plenty of food for two people....if you get the canola oil (which is hands down the best option) then it's a pretty great deal for two people for around $51 plus tax. The "meal for two" will run you $80-$100 and it's honestly too much food.

My boyfriend and I went to the Longwood location trying to find somewhere to eat at 9:30pm on a Sunday. We had never dined at The Melting Pot before. Admittedly there was initially a bit of sticker shock that we confessed to our waiter. We were treated no differently. We went ahead with the steak lovers 4 course meal, absolutely everything was phenomenal. By the last course you'll have had more than your money's worth. But, what truly brought the experience together was our waiter, Fernando. He was absolutely wonderful, regardless of us being there, young under dressed and us asking for a moment to discuss our finances. Fernando maintained a gracious demeanor where others would have dismissed us. It's his customer service and the quality all around that has officially made The Melting Pot a new favorite of ours! Thanks Fernando!

Let me preface this by saying that I generally love Melting Pot restaurants - I've been to several locations over the past 8 years probably around 20 times, and I am constantly bringing new people to experience the decadent fondue. However, the staff at this restaurant was incredibly rude to my boyfriend and I when we went there tonight for my birthday that I feel compelled to write my first Google (and yelp) review.

I put in a reservation online for 8:30pm through Open Table, almost 2 hours beforehand. While it was a long wait, this was a special night and the experience I imagined getting at this restaurant would be worth it. We showed up on time for our reservation only to be told that our table wasn't ready and that it would probably be more around 9:00pm or later until we could be seated. I asked if they had any seats open at the bar, which they didn't but said there was a now a new table available. I said we'd take it, since we were both very hungry at this point.

The place they sat us was against the wall connected to an emergency exit and had extra chairs, children's highchairs and slings stored around the table, and was much darker than the already dimly-lit-for-mood room. I noticed a table was clean and unoccupied right across from us in a much more pleasant area and asked our hostess if she wouldn't mind moving us. She told me that that table was reserved for a party at 8:45pm, which was 15 minutes after our reservation. I asked if they had specifically requested that table and she said no, but they assign tables per reservation and that the table we had been "assigned to" originally was still occupied by a couple celebrating their anniversary. Still confused, I politely asked if we could move over there since the table they had originally set aside for us wasn't ready yet and we had an earlier reservation that the intended occupants. She huffily explained that each table is assigned per reservation and that's how they do it here and then rudely asked "Do you understand now?" I was so taken aback that I didn't even know how to respond, I have never been spoken to so rudely in a restaurant. My boyfriend was so offended by how she spoke to me that we both agreed to leave and try to turn my birthday night around at a better, more professional establishment. I have never left a restaurant after being seated before, but I did't feel like giving our business to this restaurant when the hostess may as well have spat in my face with her sharp, condescending tones.

I will never be coming back to this location. Such a disappointment from what is normally such a wonderful restaurant. This moody adolescent should be replaced with an employee who knows how to treat guests at an upscale establishment.
