This was our second visit and it was just as good as the first. Sarah was very attentive and very friendly. She made sure our soft drinks were full and explained the menu choices thoroughly. We took advantage of the Disney Magical Dining menu and although it was a special selection, there was still plenty of food. We will definitely be going back again.

Mmmm, so delicious! We did fish and chicken with veggies cooked in broth, which made it light. Then, we did the turtle chocolate fondue for dessert. Got extra fruit to lighten that up too. Not too damaging for a fantastic meal!

The restaurant is ok if your will g to give away money...we spent 103.00 to share a appetizer of cheese that they give you half cut up green apple. 5 pieces of broccoli and cauliflower a couple choked up pieces of wheat and white bread a entree of 6 pieces of steak, 3 lives of chicken and shrimp and 2 pieces of pork and sharing the side of vegetables which was more broccoli asparagus and mushrooms..on too of that we waited 45 min for them to bring RAW food out that we still have to cook on on burner...we also had to share the dessert but once again paid two different prices of $45 to share your meal basically...the best part was the chocolate which they gave half a brownie half a cookie, rice crispies 2 marshmallows 3 strawberries cut in half and 4 slices of bannas...for $103 I should have not had to share anything. Don't go if you expect your money's worth.

This is one of my favorite restaurants to celebrate special occasions. It s actually one of the few places my wife and I frequent, because the outstanding service has spoiled us.

First, let me recommend that you review the menu before you go, and familiarize yourself with how fondue works in general.
There are 4 courses. Cheese Fondue, Salad, Entree, and dessert. In that order.
The cheese fondue will be prepared table side, and will be served with 3 types of bread, apples, and vegetables for dipping. If you re apprehensive about the cheese/Apple combination, let me assure you it is outstanding.
The salads are all delicious, mostly because of the proprietary salad dressings.
The entree course consists of meats and vegetables, which will be served raw and you ll cook them yourself in your choice of one of 3 different broths, or in oil. The entree will be served with several sauces, and I recommend trying them all.
For the chocolate course, there are several recommended combinations on the menu, or you can create your own. They have milk, white, and dark chocolate, which can be combined with several different liqueurs, Oreo cookie pieces, marshmallow fluff, pecans, and/or caramel.

Come hungry, leave satisfied.

I am here to warn people about this place. These are just some of the things I've noticed:

You are paying for the "experience", not the food. The food is cheap quality, dirty, and badly handled.

Cheese:
You pay a lot of money to eat cheap quality (corn starch, yes.. corn starch filled) cheese. No, fondue does not need cornstarch.. try making your own at home.. heat up some cheese and a tiny splash of beer or wine until it's hot and well mixed, you will never need the cornstarch! If you have a refined palate, you could totally taste and feel the grainy texture..

The dippers:
The servers prepare the dippers with unwashed hands after handling and sorting all of the dirty silverware and plates from previous customers. Raw meat from those plates inevitably gets on your hands when you work there. When I worked there, I was the only server who constantly washed my hands and used utensils when grabbing the dippers (apples, carrots, bread, brocolli, cauliflower). All of the dippers are constantly being handled with contaminated hands. I told people how to get dipper plates set up without getting their germs on the food you eat but they don't care to do it because they feel it takes more effort to do it with tongs. I believe in health before practicallity. If that's not gross enough for you, then here are some more facts about the melting pot dippers.

The brocolli:
Is blanched and iced. A lot of it is on the brown side. Cold broccoli in hot cheese is just disgusting imo.

The cauliflower:
They tend to put the good looking parts on the top so you don't see the nasty ones at the bottom. It's dark in there anyway, so they are able to get away with more than they would if it was a well lit restaurant.

The apples:
Why would you dip green apples in cheese? That's just gross. If they gave it to you for the chocolate, it would make much more sense but they don't.

The silverware:
They don't wash their hands before they fold silverware. No one makes them do it so they don't feel compelled to. Not even a little sanitizer before touching them by the part that goes in your mouth.

They try to trick you into thinking it's quality food by making the food so expensive. If you have a fine set of taste buds and you have experience with actual quality food, you'd know that this food is basically hot, expensive trash.

First time coming to the melting pot. We try the 4 course experience and personally it was a lot of food. Unfortunately, we had one burner so the party must pick one style and my party and I wanted two different cooking styles so this where you have to be a team player and come to an agreement. We did our own cooking of several different meats and the dessert fondue was amazing.

Very romantic, and very satisfying experience. Loved the rose pedals and candlelights on our table, upon arrival. Great tasting food, cooked to our own preference. Superb service. Our server Amanda was the greatest, explaining everything, as the night progressed, through all four dinner courses. Wine, cheese, steak, chocolate, and strawberries, all made for the perfect anniversary dinner with the one I love.

To be fair, if you're paying $20-30 a head to cook your own food, then your customer service should be excellent. The dinner itself and our waiter were just fine. However, any other day we wouldn't have made it that far. We had a reservation for 2 in which we arrived 15 minutes early. This woman and her daughter walk in without a reservation and get sat immediately. This is after they had told previous couples there was a 2 hour wait . . .

Used to go to this MP until they became unaccomodating for guests with allergies. The hostess refused to take my allergy situation seriously. It was sad, since in the past the waiters there were extremely considerate. But the hostess who unfortunately acts as the "gate keeper" to the restaurant couldn't do anything to provide a second burner for our party of four table (Such a simple request) or pass me to a manager. Mind you this was for a reservation on a weeknight, a week in advance. Sighs, Longwood MP. I'll be a Sandlake Melting Pot girl from now on, as they've NEVER had a problem accommodating people with food allergies.

Use to love this place. Still plan on going for cheese. Not happy that they changed their house dressing. It is way too tart. Wont be getting salad anymore. Also, tempura batter is too watery wont hold to chicken

The Melting Pot is really a neat restaurant. The food always is fresh and the service is always great. We prefer to go maybe once every year or two though, only because we would rather someone else cook our food if we are paying to eat out. But its really a fun experience in a group.

Fondue, more like FUN-do. Very nice restaurant, one of the only places that still does fondue pots, which is a very enjoyable meal. Dessert is my favorite part. Great to go to for a special occasion.

Gullible and ignorant family with children on a school night were led towards four course meal that took over half an hour per course. Great restaurant for dates and those in the know, but terrible for families with kids. Dark enough that I didn't realize how much chocolate my son was wearing until after I got in the car. Food was mediocre for the price. Kids only ate the dessert. Beer selection was nice, but paired poorly with the food. Had I gone there on a date or without kids, would give 4/5 stars.

Made a reservation and showed up early, we were seated immediately. The Caesar salad is delicious especially if you add the garlic wine seasoning. The cheese was yummy and the mojo broth was delicious. Our waitress was great, we are stuffed! :). We couldn t take the broth home unfortunately. That was the best part :))

It's good with the many selections of cheeses to dip in to. I would go to a hotpot restaurant instead for the soup part. It wasn't too great of a beginning due to the hosting staff (not the serving staff) having this condescending attitude when you're dressed in shorts for cheese fondue.

My second time here, but as before, a unique and well worth dining experience! Go for the four course dinner experience, best deal for the money and may I suggest the loaded back potato cheese fondue to start, tastes just as stated, and end with a flaming chocolate smores fondue; simply scrumptious! No matter what you choose though, you can't go wrong, the food is fantastic as is the service. Our server last night, Fernando, was very detail oriented, attentive, and full of personality. Request him on your visit, you won't be disappointed.

First time eating here and I was impressed. I'm not the type to want to sit there cooking my own food but once you try all the difference proteins and sauces they have everything changes. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some good food.

The food has always been good, not great, just good. Not much you can say about 4 bite size pieces of meat. Cheese is tasty, but gets hard quickly. Desert is fun...who doesn't love chocolate covered everything. Now the ridiculous part, they have jacked the prices through the roof for basically ambiance. You cook your food, all they do is place it on your table. We even had to clear our own table because our server took way too long between courses, and the plates were in our way. Had this not been for a special occasion I would not have made the reservation. The interior looks run down, dirty, dull. Hasn't been updated in years. Definitely won't be back anytime soon, I can think of much nicer restaurants to visit.

The service is great here with excellent people and a nice atmosphere for dining. The dinner options are tasty but the cheese and dessert are amazing. We went for our anniversary and they gave us an anniversary card signed by the whole staff.

If you not only want a nice dinner, but an EXPERIE...

If you not only want a nice dinner, but an EXPERIENCE, then I recommend the Melting Pot! I was originally hesitant to check them out because I didn't think I'd like the fondue experience, but I was very wrong.

My boyfriend and I took advantage of their Magical Dining special for $35 per person. We got to pick one Cheese Fondue appetizer that we shared, which was Wisconsin Cheddar. It came with pieces of bread, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower and even apples. I thought it was okay, not my favorite, but my boyfriend loved it. He's big on cheese, where I'm not so much.

For the meal portion you get to pick the cooking style. (FYI... they bring you raw food that you cook in the pot so be prepared to wait, but savor the food). We choose Mojo broth and our meats were Chicken & Vegetable Potstickers, Chicken Breast, Sirloin, Shrimp and Vegetables. Each of us, even got our own sauce plate with 6 different options for our selection: Teriyaki, Curry Mustard, Plum, Cocktail Sauce, Gorgonzola and Green Goddess. They paired nicely.

Dessert was by far my favorite part. We chose the Cookies N' Cream Marshmallow Dream. It came with Brownie bites, Pound Cake bits, Marshmallows, Strawberries, Bananas and my ultimate favorite: Rice Crispy Treats. The combinations were perfect.

And to top off the overall experience we had an AMAZING server named Malik. He was personable, attentive, funny and truly made the night so enjoyable. He made genuine conversation with us and made us feel extremely welcome. Next time we go back I hope to get him again.

Basic review:

Basic review:

Can be expensive at around $40-50/person. Romantic setting (dim candle light). Make a reservation to be on the safe side. Expect to be there about 2 hours or more. Cook your own food. Many options to choose from to customize your eating experience. Servers generally only check on you during fondue course changes.

My advice is to try it once, possibly with a Groupon or other coupon, but it's like a year or two between visits type of restaurant.

If you like it, get your own fondue set for about $40 and do it at home.

If you are on a third date this is the place for you. It is fun but the food is mediocre at best plus you have to cook it yourself. Try it once and then maybe buy your own fondue set it will be much more fun ;)

Awesome experience! More than just "out to eat," it is a real treat. From signature cocktails to cheese fondue, specialty broths, superior quality meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, and breads. (And everything else!)
Bert was an excellent waiter and ambassador to our fondue experience. Thanks!

Had a wonderful celebratory dinner here. If you are going with a friend, family or date definitely consider getting different entree meat plates and sharing to get a wider variety. The teriyaki sirloin was definitely a crowd favorite. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helped walked the melting pot virgins through the process. Overall a yummy and fun visit to Melting Pot.

Sabrina was extremely attentive. She clearly explained everything for each course. We enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip and ended our night with the ying yang fondue dessert. Sabrina went out of her way to ensure all our needs were met and always met us with a smile. She was a special delight for a night we won t forget. Thank you Melting Pot for making our anniversary one of our best.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and our server, Paolo, was excellent. He was friendly and knowledgeable and helped our group with our selections. We enjoyed the Girls Night Out event, which was a great way for some of the group to experience the Melting Pot for the first time. Definitely recommend it.
