Always a nice romantic date place. Food is top notch but won't get the batter to dip the main course again. Not bad just too heavy. All the cheese fondue starters are wonderful. I suggest just getting one main course to split so there is plenty room for the luscious chocolate fondue!

We've been to a few similar themed restaurants and this place is ok but for us it wasn't worth the money, maybe if we would have had a better waiter our experience would have been better. Our waiter was Collin and he was trying to be funny but it came of as very rude and we kept having to ask the other waiters to find him because it would take him forever to refill our drinks and come by our table. A word of advice if you've never been here , dont show up too hungry because it took about 35 minutes to even get us started , the whole 4 courses took about 3 hours. Overall it was an interesting experience , we would go back for just the cheese fondue but the other courses didnt seem worth the price

Expensive, but unique dining experience. Fondue is a great date night, very interactive and fun!

We were seated in a booth with a television about 3 feet above my head, playing the evening news on a local channel. The bright monitor illuminated our otherwise dim booth quite obnoxiously; Not exactly good ambiance...

The young and very friendly waitress was not skilled in opening a bottle of wine that I had brought; she was unable to remove the wax seal (I did it, not a problem) and then she proceeded to break the cork due to not screwing the worm all the way down. I was able to remove the remaining cork.

The food was very good. Portions were great, and we got "refils" of some tasty side items. Cheese, broth, and then chocolate fondue is a wonderful meal. The sauces are all a bit much as there are about 6 different types of dipping to choose from. Easy to muddle your flavors and create a cacophony on your palate.

I would recommend this restaurant to a couple of a date who are looking for a unique and fun, interactive and tasty experience. Make reservations for the evening, they fill up quickly and you don't want to sit in the "bar" and be subject to the local news broadcasts...

My wife and I come here a few times a year for date nights. The food quality and service is very good and very consistent. If you get a 4 course meal, just plan on being there 1.5-2 hours as you dip, boil and consume each course. They also have a good vegetarian option for all of those that wish to go that route.

Not very clean. Probably why the lighting is so low. Waitress seemed like she didn't like her job.. We were the same old boring routine customers. Been at least 15+ years since I had been. The food was good of course since we cooked it ourselves. But would have preferred the menu to be explained a little better. Or maybe you could make the print bigger on the menu for those who are on a date and forget our eyeglasses.

Had a wonderful date night here with my SO for our anniversary. Great food, bit pricey but we were stuffed and delighted, Also, THE BEST accomodations we have ever received ANYwhere for my SO's unique allergy, at no extra cost. In fact they even threw in a little extra something for us. We enjoyed the Magical dining menu, this visit. Our server Madison was awesome! We will definitely be back!

First time experience but not the last! This was the first time I'd experienced the restaurant and all it's charm, but be warned, you better come hungry. there are more ways to enjoy the meal than I had imagined. luckily I was with a group who had a long history with the Melting Pot so I was not flying blind. Our Server was every patient and knowledgeable about our needs, process and certainly the food. Definitely recommend the four course menu.

This is the best Fondue restaurant I have ever been to. It is an experience, so you can expect to spend 3 hours or more dining. The selections should be pleasing to most anyone, especially GF guests. The meat quality is outstanding, and the portions are generous. Our spinach artichoke cheese fondue was yummy, and our milk chocolate fondue with fruits and other goodies was rich and incredibly tasty! We will be back!!!

I recently visited this place for the 1st time for my birthday a few weeks ago. The food was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. I was pleasantly surprised about the weekday specials so the bill was just as good as the food and service!!

FABULOUS Experience ! A group of 10 of us met here and it was so much fun. The waiter was excellent. The food was delicious and fresh. It took 3 hours for our largish party to complete the 4-course meal which gave us time to socialize. I found the pricing very reasonable considering all it has to offer and a unique fun experience. I wish I lived closer as it would also be a great place for date night.....just the 2 of us or with another couple.

I never have a bad experience here and I visit frenqently. The staff are welcoming and helpful when wanting to try new things. Even though it is a romantic type setting, it is still a nice place to experience with friends and family. Make sure to make reservations as they fill up quick!

To begin: if you don't want to cook your food, this isn't the place for you! The average 3 course meal for two takes about an hour and a half, if not more.

Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant. The service, for the most part is very good, but at times can be neglectful. The food is fresh with limited choices. The atmosphere tends to be more romantic than business. The cocktails are exceptional. But be prepared, things here are overpriced to say the least. I ordered a 3 course meal for myself and another person. The appetizers came out with a choice of cheese fondue. I never thought apples and cheese would taste good, but it worked well. Following that comes entree, with your choice of cooking oil. We had the lobster, shrimp and steak. The proteins were cut freshly and that was expressed in the orientation. Finally came the dessert fondue with your choice of chocolate, white chocolate or swirl. The cheesecake with the fondue was exceptional. A big problem was we both left hungry. The average price for two people with 2 drinks is roughly around 100 dollars. Not to mention our waitress didn't really know anything about wine and kept having to refer to someone else. This makes an excellent place as a date night or special occasion, but that's primarily about it. I wouldn't rave about this place, but I didn't hate it either. I felt it could have been better especially for the overall value.

My first visit to Melting Pot Longwood was last fall during Magical Dining Month with my best friend. When my British fiancee wanted to take me to a romantic dinner, I suggested Melting Pot and they didn't disappoint. He didn't know what to expect, but couldn't stop raving about the experience afterwards. Melting Pot is now our official celebration/anniversary/date night go-to!

We had a reservation and we were seated promptly. The server was average and didn't know as much as we'd hoped about the menu. We had a cheese fondue to start and it was my favorite part of the whole dinner. The main course was good, but I wish we hadn't chosen the oil to cook it in (I can't recall exactly what it was). I've had fondue at a local place and it was a much better experience overall between food and service, but I don't mean that the food or service was awful here, just average.

We had an amazing experience! We never went to a fondue restaurant before and had a Groupon for The Melting Pot. The experience was fun to cook our foods in a fondue pot, try the different fondue, and the food was delicious. Our waiter was amazing and gave us awesome tips and was very detailed about each cooking style and fondue choice. We bought another Groupon to use in the future after going.

We came here for a date night. It was fairly late (830) on a Thursday night. However, we saw a bunch of open tables and we were, instead, sat next to a table with 2 kids. They were 6 and 9. I know that because they did not stop singing, bouncing, going under the tables, and talking to us the entire time we were there! We came here to get a break from our 2 kids at home. We mentioned moving to the waiter (TWICE!) but he said we couldn't because we had already had our cheese course.

We had a fantastic time, our waitress Sarah was the best. She made everything look easy and made us look like pros even though it was our first time in a long time of being there. At first you will think there not enough food but it was more than enough. Dont skip the dessert!!

I wanted to see what the big deal was so we went to this restaurant for a pre-mother's day dinner. It was ok. Overpriced and underwhelmed with the service and food. Great first time experience but I won't be going back.

Went with a group of 6, and I got to say it was not an enjoyable experience. It was my first time coming to The Melting Pot, and I had heard good things from friends. However I just don't think it's a practical concept it's just very gimmicky. The cheese fondue was great and the dessert was by far my favorite part of the whole meal. The entree, however, was clumsy. You have to cook your own pieces of meat in tiny pots with skewers that don't grip very well and when there's so many people involved it takes forever (the whole experience took us 2 and a half hours). The waitress was really nice but she didn't come by very often which was a problem bc one of our stove tops turned off and we didn't know how to work it. I would really like to eat here again but maybe just in a group of 2 at the most.

This is a restaurant for date night .. you're not going to leave here satiated unless you spring for a few extras and dessert... if you visit with someone who has different tastes in food than you someone will be disappointed as you'll be sharing dipping fondue and a flavored cooking pot.

I will give this 5 stars because I feel it would be unfair for me to give it zero (or 1) because of my own fault.

This is not the experience I was expecting. You will order some meats and cook them yourself, it will take long and the meal is pretty much staggered. I was under the impression the food came cooked and you could dip in cheese etc, maybe I'm too ignorant? Regardless, if cooking your own food for a high price is what you're expecting, this is for you, it wasn't for me. Besides that, the place is nice inside, the entrees taste good, the server was attentive and the place is nice.

If I ever returned, it would be for the appetizer, no entrees.

In the end it is an interesting gimmick.

This melting pot has a very outdated, old feel to it, while other restaurants are updating their appearances, this one stays the same from decades ago to the point where they have to offer half price fondue only showing how needy they are for sales. Unimpressed, over priced, food made me sick, last time for me, would recommend any other fondue place but here. Clean it up, or get that restaurant impossible guy to help, you need it.

Unfortunately we made a reservation for four on De...

Unfortunately we made a reservation for four on December 18th for tonight January 6th at 6 pm. When we arrived 15 minutes early we were escorted to a table with one fondue burner. We asked to be placed at a table with two burners since we had a Groupon that allowed for two different cheeses and cooking styles. We were declined that request since we did not ask in advance for two burners. There were three tables empty with two burners. However, the manager refused to seat us there since there were other parties of 5 reserved for those spaces. The manager then blamed us for the confusion and it was our fault that we did not request two burners three weeks in advance. We do not recall a requirement to ask for two burners in advance to get two burners. Nor did the Groupon require the requesting of two burners in advance. The manager handled this in a combative fashion and told us he was trying to help us and we were being difficult. Needless to say we left before being seated with one burner. We are trading in our Groupon for their lack of ability to meet its terms and no longer going to frequent this restaurant as they have truly lost sight of the customer. The manager was completely rude. We were here in early December and had less than average service and decided to try again since it has been a staple restaurant for celebrations for us for years. However, tonight sealed the deal. We are no longer providing our business to the melting pot in longwood. If the two burner and one burner is such an issue for reservations, then they should ask when making the reservations for parties of four or more their needs.

I called to ask if they would honor the Groupon price without me buying the Groupon and the "owner" said absolutely not we are paid thru Groupon. He wouldn't stop talking and giving me excuses about how he's paid thru Groupon, do the math if you buy on Groupon they take a cut depending on price wouldn't you rather take the full cost than share ??? Oh well they just lost my business. Good luck to you "owner"
