To begin: if you don't want to cook your food, this isn't the place for you! The average 3 course meal for two takes about an hour and a half, if not more.
Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant. The service, for the most part is very good, but at times can be neglectful. The food is fresh with limited choices. The atmosphere tends to be more romantic than business. The cocktails are exceptional. But be prepared, things here are overpriced to say the least. I ordered a 3 course meal for myself and another person. The appetizers came out with a choice of cheese fondue. I never thought apples and cheese would taste good, but it worked well. Following that comes entree, with your choice of cooking oil. We had the lobster, shrimp and steak. The proteins were cut freshly and that was expressed in the orientation. Finally came the dessert fondue with your choice of chocolate, white chocolate or swirl. The cheesecake with the fondue was exceptional. A big problem was we both left hungry. The average price for two people with 2 drinks is roughly around 100 dollars. Not to mention our waitress didn't really know anything about wine and kept having to refer to someone else. This makes an excellent place as a date night or special occasion, but that's primarily about it. I wouldn't rave about this place, but I didn't hate it either. I felt it could have been better especially for the overall value.
