Mellow Mushroom Review

We got take out and it was quite a wait since we didn't call ahead but food is amazingly good. We got two large with two toppings each for 60 dollars. I highly recommend the holy shitake and the mighty meat as favorites. We also tried the house special and had them make a discontinued curry favor which is also one of our favorites. Everyone at this location is super nice and attentive.

Staff want wonderful and space to big for the lack of people. Gave me thing crust when I assumed classic crust was standard. Possibly my mistake. Also alcoholic drinks weren't well made

This is my favorite pizza place by far. The gluten-free pizza is amazing, the staff are so friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I eat here at least once a week.

They have great service (our server was chyanne) & they have great vegan pizza!

They screwed up our order so bad that they ended up buying dinner and drinks for all four of us. Somehow they forgot about us after bringing out our drinks. 45 minutes into our dining experience I asked where our food was, they checked and it was obvious they hadn't started. Anyway, the pizza was decent, the cheese bread was meh.

Food was good and had large portions. Server was very attentive to our needs and kept checking to see if we needed anything. There was great music being played in the restaurant which enhanced the ambience of the place.

It had a lot of cheese and was melty & gooey is a tasty way. Really good food and really good service.

I been around the world twice and this is by far the best place i have ever ate at. Thanks so much to the staff and a special thanks to steven the bartender he was so awesome and the most helpful.

We walked to this branch of Mellow Mushroom having searched for somewhere that catered to both vegan and gluten free options. First impressions are good - lots of space here, great quirky decor, a nice buzz from the customers already seated.

Although it wasn't especially late, our server seemed to be in a hurry as missed out a lot of small details like bringing us plates and cutlery, and topping up drinks. Besides these small hiccups, he was knowledgeable on gluten free options and helpful on placing orders.

The food itself - my vegan friend chose pretzels which as a starter that were both an enormous portion and apparently delicious. My wings were also very tasty, and a decent price for the portion size. I'm used to English prices and portions so these starters felt like a small main course!

My main choice was a gluten free pizza with vegan cheese (yay Coeliac and lactose intolerance!) It's the first pizza I've been able to eat since my diagnosis so I was always going to love it - however, pragmatically, the base was flat and a little bland, and the vegan cheese doesn't melt like the real deal. These things aside, it was still a mighty fine pizza.

I'd say this restaurant is good for casual dinners, group dining, and a handy place to take your friends with dietary requirements where they'll feel comfortable ordering something.

A bit noisy, but excellent food and exceptionally attentive wait staff.

Extremely long wait...1 hour and 15 minutes with 60% of the tables empty. Not enough staff. Host skipped over our name and didn't even apologize.

Best gluten free pizza I've ever had! Wish there was one closer to my house, next time we are near any Mellow Mushrooms we will be getting pizza again!! Fun atmosphere, wonderful staff, great food!

NOT BAD ! My wife and I were taking a break in Atlanta for a few days. This cafe was our choice for dinner on our first day in Atlanta because it was close to our condo in Peachtree Towers. It's a huge place with a lot of eclectic art accents going on. A young server named Ana came over to look after us at our table. We ordered a Sausagefest Calzone to share and after sampling a couple of their beers I chose a SweetWater IPA. The Calzone tasted alright though a bit on the chewy side and my beer was alright. It looks like a fun place but I thought the craft beer selection and the food was kinda average !

Location was clean and they validate parking which is nice but I really felt like the small pizza I got was overpriced for what I got. It tasted good but wasn't worth it in my opinion.

Had a very nice server, Onika. My chef salad was good. I didn't care for the strong onion in it and I will have to pick a better dressing next time. The mighty meaty pizza was very good.

School of the Hardknocks! The kids loved The Patio dinning experience! A short walk to Piedmont Park afterwards, and Everyone was asleep on the ride home!

WOW!!! I travel for work and eat too much pizza as it is... BUT this changes everything. Outstanding food and beer selection.

Good pie and unique feel for a downtown Atlanta restaurant. TVs are a little small and hard to view.

This place is amazing. Great service. Came in from the cold rainy, they gave me and my wife a hot cup of water to warm our hands. Ordered garlic bread and a large pizza. Food came out quickly and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely coming here again.

Best gluten free pizza I've ever had. Recently found out I have Celiac and this pizza was so much better than other gluten free things I have tried so far. Food came out very quickly and the waitress (Onika) was very nice. Will definitely come here again next time I'm in Atlanta.

Great atmosphere and fun crowd will return, good pizza, and quality was great, the price could knock down a bit but was a fun time!

We took my brother here for his bachelor party dinner and they seriously treated us like royalty. It was so much fun. Pizza here is of course fantastic, but they're good, hard-working peeps here with a lot of heart.

The salad was good but the pizzas was not good at all.

Not the best mellow I've been to by far. Was hoping to be in and out in under an hour, ended up being there over 1.5. Also took multiple requests to get water at our table. Make sure to specify well if you're ordering drinks unless you want to pay >$10 per drink.

This location is very slow. The food gave me anupset stomach for hours after eating here. Prices are reasonable. I did enjoy the Caesar salad.

Love the vibes inside and out. The look of the spot in general is totally cool. Very retro yet hip. Awesome spot to stop in Atlanta.

Have always been a big fan of mellow mushroom. I was a little disappointed to hear that they don't sell pizza by the slide anymore, don't know if that's for just this location or all locations. I ended up ordering the steak and cheese calzone which is another old favorite of mine and was not disappointed. I hope they bring back pizza by the slice, for lunch at the very least, even if it's limited options.

The mushroom soup and the chicken sub is a must have.

Great atmosphere. Pizza was good and first time in long time the kids pizzas weren't burnt by a pizza place (not this place). Great choices and highly recommended.

They have a very fun-psychedelic type theme going on with large constructed Mushrooms, hanging from the roof.

(My only tip., and this is not the restraunt's fault, is be sure to pay the parking meters!

I didn't know how to operate this particular type of meter.I was going to ask someone inside, but somehow, in the midst of things happening, forgot.

I had to pay my first parking ticket when I came back to the car. )

The best pizza i have ever tasted just purely amazing

Visited Saturday, 9/10/16 late afternoon. Let me preface this with my hopes that this was just an off evening for this location. I have had many great experiences at other locations, mostly in N.C. But this was possibly the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. We were seated quickly as they were only moderately busy. It took 10 plus minutes for our server to get to the table after being seated with no silverware or napkins. Drink orders were taken. 10-12 minutes later our drinks arrived with one missing and again no silverware or napkins. We quickly ordered food and reminded the waiter of the missing drink. He came back with the drink a few minutes later. Our appetizer arrived and it was the bright spot of this experience but again with no napkins, silverware or plates. Warm & tasty as ordered though. I finally asked for napkins & silverware. Some entrees finally came after a very long wait. I asked for silverware & napkins again and watched the waiter proceed to dry off plates instead of rushing right back with my second request. The soup and salad that were ordered never came. The 2 of 3 entrees that did arrive were not warm at all. The grilled onions on one were even cold. The other was supposed to have grilled onions that were raw. We reminded the waiter about the soup and salad. We promptly told him not to worry about it when we realized that he had forgotten to put them on the order. We finally had to get up to go ask again for silverware & napkins and for the third entree. We finally got the silverware & napkins and the third entree came a couple of minutes later. It was supposedly fresh from the oven but it was only luke warm. This whole time we were being told that they were short staffed while we saw 3 & 4 employees just walking around doing nothing. The worst part though was a waiter who simply did not care. He even walked away toward the end while we were talking to him. The manager finally brought the bill (after we asked for it two times) and apologized but it was past the point of making things better.

Good food time. Good attention. An excellent place. Ahhh and a good price.

Cheap and tasty. If you want to sit for a modest amount and have a tasty meal, I'll recommend it.
