The room was clean, spacious, and the sea view was superb!
Clean pool.
The only disadvantage is that the beach access is paid.

Everything at a high level, food, rooms, service, location. Animators and animations at the highest level, we will return here for sure
Words do not have the value to express the superlative there. For 6 years I have been with great pleasure!
Large hotel with more than 2000 guests. TUI provides an upgrade at no extra cost. This makes the stay more attractive. It is only baking and roasting in large numbers. Nice boulevard downstairs, matter of being busy in the evening. Good four stars not five.
A very good hotel. Comfortable large pools. Food for 3.5 but this Bulgarian cuisine did not impress. Internal swimming pool. Slides. Large rooms.
Indoor pool really heated, big room, good restaurant, mini club, everything super ok.
Great hotel! The rooms are nice and clean and they get cleaned every day if you want. The staff is very friendly and will help you with anything. The food is okay but not great. They serve different food on different days so there is a bit of variety in the menu but not a lot.
The pool is nice and there are a lot of activities here. That makes it unfortunatelly quite busy at the pool. Luckily the beach is at a 3min walk from the hotel.
There is no beach. Paid umbrellas and sun beds. 400 rubles lounger and another 350 rub umbrella totaling 850 rubles a day to sunbathe by the sea. The rooms are cleaned badly. Water is left only the first day. Maybe this is for Bulgaria a high level hotel. But for these prices it is too much. Three in Egypt forever even better.
It is no fun, it seems like a place where you come to fatten it, it is not clean, the dust like the finger in the room, the food has no smell and no taste, the dirty pool ... I would never come back here
So we booked due to the recommendation of our travel agency and the good rating. To be honest, it has nothing to do with a 5 star hotel. With 700 rooms it is a mass processing. This may be normal in all inclusive hotels, but here it is very over the top. The rooms are spacious and good. The beds are comfortable and everything was clean. In the bathroom are only a few small things to do.
Drinks are in a 5 star hotel outside only plastic cups and taste they are not the hit.
Now for dinner with 200-400 people. The buffet always looks full. As no worries. Also the live cooking looks appealing. Only taste goes much not at all. Often much too cold food, scrambled eggs partly not through and taste is missing in most things. Only a few are good. Overall, disappointing.
Before choosing this place for vacation, I read a lot of reviews about this place.
1. If you fly there in the season from a travel agency for PLN 10,000, it is not worth it, the 5 * is probably for spa and LEVEL options. However, if you fly there for PLN 1700 per person, it is worth a lot of swimming pools, including an indoor heated one, close to the beach and a friendly staff.
2. I have read the opinions that the food is cold and not seasoned and I cannot agree with that. People who write such opinions are unfair because if you stand in line for food and want something from the beginning, middle and end, it is logical that if I bring this to the table and go to the vending machine to drink, then when I finally sit down to eat it will be cold. As for spices, the dishes were aromatic, and if someone lacked or a small amount of salt disturbed, he could add salt, the salt was standing on the tables.
3. Very nice animations for children, very nice animators, games and games for the elderly with prizes.
4. During the week of my stay never had a weak drink they were always strong.
Overall, a very nice place to spend your vacation with a few disadvantages, but if you can arrange a holiday here at a good price, I recommend it
A lot of fun for children, slides, playground, playroom, ice cream, swimming pools or what tigers like the most :-)
Large hotel and a lot of people but the rooms are nice and spacious.
For the all in part: the food is ok except the desserts. On the other hand, it is shameful to serve table wine of this quality in a 5 * hotel. This is the first time that we have had such bad wine in a hotel.
The best part is the paella buffet, the varieties of which change daily.
Everything at superlative, food, rooms, staff, entertainment ...
Everything is superlative: rooms, cleanliness, swimming pools, beach, food, staff, animation, respect for customers
Big rooms, big buffet, nice pool and great location. Only the service is expandable.
We were at the Hotel Melia in July 2014. Strange bookings of sun loungers by the pool for some LEVEL club. No beach, no basketball, volleyball or tennis courts no teaspoons for hot drinks (like 5 stars about horror). The performances of a group of animators resemble a makeshift and the cleaning of the rooms is one big fiction (only towel change (I think?) The restaurant service does not let you eat because as soon as you walk away from the table you have nothing on the table very nice and nice meals.
Everything we like - room, bathroom, pool, food - no remarks. We were very pleased with our stay.
Very large, clean rooms, very good food, very friendly and nice staff, lots of entertainment for both children and adults, very clean pool water! We will definitely be back with great pleasure!
A high standard hotel, 5 stars is an exaggeration - but it corresponds to a good 4 stars.
Rooms spacious and clean, cleaned every day - but cleaning with so many stars should include more than clean towels or vacuuming the room, it would be useful to change e.g. bedding every 3 days. It is strange that at this price of the room, the mineral water is not refilled in the rooms - there is only one welcome one. Daily water is a standard in practically every hotel - you can see not in the five-star ...
The food is tasty, a lot, a very wide selection of dishes and delicacies of all kinds - we could not complain about that.
There is a nice swimming pool in front of the hotel - a sunny swimming pool with lots of sunbeds (but like everywhere else, people "reserving" a sunbed with a towel and actually sleeping in their rooms are a scourge), slides for children, small pools and the Level swimming pool (more on that). The hotel has a swimming pool with water heated to 31 degrees, a sauna and many other attractions.
The sea is about 150-200 meters away, walking along a picturesque path - we liked it very much. To get to the sea, we cross the promenade on which the whole life of Golden Sands takes place - there are dozens of restaurants, swimming pools, shops and other attractions. Importantly - in kurota prices comparable to our usual shops - sample prices below.
The hotel service deserves the highest rating, and special praise for the animators. It was impossible to get bored - they do a great job.
In the hotel you can buy the Level option - this is a VIP choice rather for people who are looking for peace and privacy in such a large hotel (separate swimming pool, separate restaurant) - generally it is not necessary.
It is not profitable to buy the proposed excursions - exactly the same ones are available for half the price on the promenade.
In general, my wife and I had a great time, we recommend this choice to families with children and people who are simply looking for a holiday.
Sample prices and data (stay in mid-September):
- a large beer in a pub, about PLN 5 (2.5 lev)
- lunch for two people about PLN 40 - 50
- fridge magnets (and how) from 2 to 4 zlotys
- good regional Bulgarian wine 30 PLN
- Polish Krupnik vodka 1 liter about PLN 30 (to compare prices)
- cigarettes about PLN 10-12
- bus ticket Golden Sands - Varna (approx. 18 km) 6 zlotys
- taxi at the same distance PLN 40
- sea temperature 23 - 24 degrees (at the lifeguard's booth)
- temperature in the swimming pool in front of the hotel 25 - 26 degrees
- temperature in the hotel pool 31 degrees
Good hotel with generous rooms. Centrally located next to the Friederichstrasse train station. It is close to all the important objectives. Good breakfast and, especially, coffee, rarely in hotels in the West. The problem is the Internet that does not really exist. For 5 days, 3 did not work, and when it goes, it's limited and the speed of 2 bani.
I recommend, good meals, fantastic animators, close to the sea. Beautiful rooms
We have been to the Melia Grand Hermitage for 3 years in a row (2017,2018,2019).
Unfortunately our trip for June 2020 was canceled due to the corona pandemic.
I hope that we can come again in 2021 and that the general situation will have improved a bit by the summer.
Actually, we would like to try another hotel, but we keep getting stuck here, thumbs up!
We were always completely satisfied in all respects (see reviews on Holiday Check).
The rooms are super spacious and clean. The staff is very nice, especially Nina (German speaking) in the lobby.
In 2017 we had a sea view room without level, in 2018 also and in 2019 a sea view room with a level upgrade.
We would book levels again at any time.
The hotel complex is very large (over 700 rooms). There is a large main pool, a small pool for laps, a children's pool and a separate pool for level guests. Likewise, water slides, climbing park, animation program and kids club / kids program.
The hotel is located in the "first" row on the beach, but is separated from the beach by a few steps / park (part of the hotel complex).
The food is really great in all restaurants the hotel offers! Sure, it's always a matter of taste, but you always have the constant complainers with you (people like that should stay at home). Everything we have eaten there so far has been delicious and we have never left anything on the plate. And if it does: folks, just take a small portion to try!
I could go on raving about it forever, but that would go beyond the scope.
We are sorry that we could not come in 2020 and hope that we will be with you again in 2021 and can support you with our money!
Greetings from Germany!
Great service, crazy water slides. There is lots of activities whole day around swimming pool and at theatre. Very nice place for family to stay. Hotel is on the edge of nice beach and it has great view addition very busy and nice restaurant on the front road. Hotel also have many restaurants inside it so you always have option to select taste and time. Hotel have many bars, SPA, fitness, massage and kids section.
Sensational. I'm here the second time. Pictures taken in the morning.
It is one of the best hotels in the Golden Sands resort
I absolutely love the place and hotel. But the waiters at the Level restaurant is sometimes too slow to serve the drinks to the food. One time I sat for half an hour and finished my dinner before they came and asked about what I'll drink. But I survive. Instead I can recomend their omlet in the morning. fantastic. Also always smiling staff.
I will come back
Horrible experience! The stuff stole our IPhone from our room! My husband left his IPhone it in the room to charge it and when we came back from the spa the phone was missing. We have addressed the security but they were unhelpful, they showed us images from the hallway camera after 3 hours and they pretended nobody entered in our room. The images showed the cleaning lady entering in one room in the area but those images were unclear. Now we have to press charges at the police but we need a translator. Nobody from this 5 stars hotel didn't apologize for the inconvenience, they were very rude and unhelpful. We will NEVER EVER stay in this hotel and we recomand you not to stay here!!!!
There are four of us and now here for the second time in a row. The hotel is very clean and also very child-friendly.
The food is good and plentiful.
As a family room, we have two fully-fledged rooms with a connecting door. That's really great. So you have peace and quiet even when the children are already in bed and you don't have to go to bed with them.
All in all a very good hotel and definitely worth a recommendation.
Very good hotel, all inclusive with lots of entertainment and activities for children. Everyone is very welcoming and nice. The rooms, the pools are very clean.
The spacious rooms, the excellent food, the services are great but the entertainment leaves much to be desired
Great location ... The view of the room to the sea offers a gorgeous picture
We were in 2017. A high standard hotel. 5 stars corresponds to the actual state. Restaurant with a wide selection of dishes, cleaning service on a regular basis after each customer (including the covering of a new tablecloth). Spacious rooms, cleaned every day. Swimming pools with attractions, slides, animators. To the sea about 200m, on the way a seaside promenade with numerous shopping and entertainment points. I would highly recommend !!!
Low quality food! Far away from 5 stars hotel! Not worth the money!
A great place to relax as well as an active way of spending time ... large rooms, delicious food And the service przemili .... recommend
Friendly and helpful staff, spacious rooms, in terms of comfort 10 out of 10. Beer instead bad, weak, a kind of mineral water with a faint aroma of beer. Beach 10 out of 10, all in all, is worth your vacation here. Have a nice holiday!
Very good hotel. Pleasant service in English, Russian and French. Catering good. 100 meters to the sea. There is also a spa, gym, indoor pool and sun loungers.
The hotel has many advantages and disadvantages.
You get a ribbon attached to your arm so that the staff can see that they are not strangers who want to "steal" food at the buffet. I have never experienced the fact that you are marked with a ribbon as if you were in a youth hostel ... You expect a different system from a 5 star hotel ...
Luckily we booked "The Level". With "The Level" you have your own areas, such as a pool, lounge, buffet, etc. The people without "The Level" have absolutely no space at the pool, everything is full.
The food (especially at the buffet) is not good for a 5 star hotel. Lots of ready meals, choice is okay, bad food.
For people who are not into partying and who like it quiet, I would not recommend the location as loud music is playing almost 24/7 on the beach and you can hear that in the hotel. The beach is unfortunately very overcrowded in the high season, as is the pool.
The hotel is an international resort, i. very many nationalities meet. There are a lot of Russians, some of whom don't behave really well.
Now something positive:
-Good location (close to the beach)
-Very nice room (modern, comfortable, clean)
-nice personel
- cheap vacation
The time was nice anyway. I would still not book the resort again and would only recommend it if it got 4 instead of 5 stars.
Definitely not a 5 * hotel. Some are 4, but some are only 3.5 *.
We got the Classic Room with Sea View No. 7050, almost in the middle of the building and on the second top floor. The Level rooms and suites are on the 8th floor, but they were closed at the end of August, including the extra pool and bar.
From the outside it looks a lot, inside a lot looks old and worn. The bathroom is very large, but in need of renovation. Classic low level hotel hair dryer. The gym didn't deserve the name. The prices for the spa are disproportionately high, you can get cheaper on the beach with the same quality. At the pool there is only shade from 4 p.m. The bar on the beach closes at 4 p.m. The WiFi is surprisingly fast and stable, but it is not available on the beach. You walk there for a few minutes. The service is unsteady, many are very friendly and helpful, the season has probably already left its mark on others or is already near the end of the season. There is enough to eat. On the contrary, if you say you would like one sausage, you get three. Unfortunately everything is overcooked, the meat is bone dry. Vegetables are in short supply. The salad buffet, on the other hand, offers a lot of choice. The beer is quite good, but the rum takes getting used to. During the day there are delicious panini on the beach, pizza and other snacks by the pool.
In September the wind is already quite strong and announces the end of the season soon. Many restaurants, bars and clubs are already closed.
As if management had read my review, the last day was much better. Juicy meat, more vegetables and everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We even got a fruit platter with some confectionery and a detailed, handwritten card in our room.
A great object on a level, there are few things to attach to.
Extraordinary! The beach is wonderful! Very beautiful here in August! The sun does not burn! The beach is not steep, it is only good for children. Get ready if you come here, you will be greeted by the most beautiful More
We were here 3 years ago because we shot a great offer. I would love to give more stars, it was so good !! Very luxurious and here all inclusive really means EVERYTHING. Even all the cocktails that would be in other hotels with additional charge were included. The location is also perfect, not in the bustle, but not too far away. You can walk comfortably and relax in front of the hotel on the beach without the party tourism to be delivered. From here everything is within walking distance. The beds are very big and even comfortable! Here you really do not do anything wrong :)
Pros:
+ Good looking rooms
+ Great area
+ All is clean
+ Fast service
+ Good vegitables and fruits selection
Cons:
- Mostly bad or broken central air condition
- Food selection is poor
- Away from beach
- Water pools is cold
- Kids animation is weak
Overall it is a good hotel with 4*.
It is a place that has retained 5 stars from the old days. The world, however, went forward, and the amenities that the hotel proposes may deserve 4. The plus is the wide range of restaurants, but the downside is that even at the most expensive package you can eat in them at certain times. At 23 the hotel is dying, meaning you can say that it is good for families with small children. But the sunbeds by the pool "reserved" from 7 am, and the ubiquitous noise, so it is worth buying a higher package and have access to the level zone, although even with a high package and so there is no way to use the beach, unless for an additional fee of PLN 60 / day you can buy sun loungers with an umbrella. Generally very crowded and very expensive and probably not quite worth the price. If you have the option, choose rooms with sea views.
Great animation program, especially the evening shows! The animators have made really good shows! Only an animator in the mini-club seemed a bit annoyed sometimes. And a pity that only one of the many children's animators could only speak a little bit of German. Therefore, our child (7) often did not dare alone. Buffet rich, but could be a bit more varied. Rooms clean, sand and bird droppings on the balcony were not removed from the daily maid service. But: a displayed defect was immediately eliminated. For children nice small slide park, only the toddler slide is a bit overhaul. <br/> Clean and well maintained grounds. All in all, a very nice holiday, we felt very comfortable and can recommend the hotel.
Beautiful spacious place that makes you dream ... many services on offer including swimming pool jacuzzi hammam gym indoor and outdoor pool ... very nice spacious room our 32 m2 with sea view ... an Italian and German restaurant on reservation where we eat very well ... there is also a stand paninis a stand paella and a pizzeria stand from 12h to 17h at will and free ... we were in THE LEVEL so private restaurant with waitresses and waiters very nice if we ignore the language because none of our period of stay spoke French but with English we adapt ... I recommend if you can speak English German Russian or Bulgarian otherwise you will have trouble making you understand ... I did not put 5 stars precisely for this lack of French speaking staff we are still in a 5-star palace. A very nice stay despite everything.
We went late season so the hotel was quiet, the food was amazing plenty of choice and frequency, the beer was a little lack lustre but the cocktail variety and wine were great.
The rooms were huge and comfortable, a twin room consisted of 2 standard double beds.
The pool was cold but was probably the time of year but it was clean and well kept, the staff were polite and helpful.
A good experience, nice personnel, good housing conditions. Our 4 year old son, went crazy with the waterslides and the kid pool. During the evening, the hotel had theatrical shows for families, which was very nice.
On the down side, the hotel has no private beach (but we new this when we went on vacation), and the food is the same. There is no change...during one week of stay, you ll go nuts having no variety for food, like the resorts in Turkey.
Overall, I recommend this hotel, to families with children.
Overall, the hotel is ok. Friendly service, very good team of animators, as well as the crew of the toddler club. Food ok, Level version even has sushi for dinner. The only minus is the weather (independent of the hotel), at the turn of July and August the temperature around 26 - 28 degrees C and there are rains and even storms. Hotel clean and tidy. During meals, beware of "hunters" - waiters promoting even empty (or not completely empty) plates. All inclusive local alcohol can be used to. Generally recommended for families with children. The journey from the airport takes about an hour. Watch out for arrivals in the early hours: you can spend a few hours on the sofas in the lobby while waiting for your room. WiFi is everywhere, also in the rooms.
I don't understand how it is five stars. It is more than 3 stars, even though it is very big.
Now we spend the last night here after a week.
It has been wonderful !! The hotel, the rooms, the service, the staff, the food (especially the desserts)! Sure, the food is a little tasteless. Not like at home with fluffy sauces and good spices, but clearly approved !!
The sun loungers by the pool are "paxas" with a towel early in the morning. So you have to be up in good time if you want to lie there. But we liked the sandy beach better. It certainly costs about 350: - for 4 sun loungers with cushions and parasol.
Right now I am sitting on our balcony listening to "Mamma Mia" which is played on the stage below the hotel. They offer some kind of good show / entertainment every night!
Otherwise, the evenings at the beach's shopping street are wonderful.
We went with our two teenage daughters. I think this is more suitable for families with small children. But we have all enjoyed our stay here and will certainly go back sometime.
Very good!
We felt great. Large rooms, maximum cleanliness, changed towels daily, changed bedding every 3 days.
Helpful and discreet staff.
It is a 5 star hotel for all inclusive circuit so don't expect it to be like 4 seasons.
Diverse food, very well cooked.
Cleaning and disinfectant everywhere, the tables were disinfected after each tourist.
The sunbeds by the pool were disinfected in the evening.
Super clean pools.
Super interesting water slides for the little ones.
I would come back here anytime and I recommend everyone to come if you have the opportunity.
Congratulations to all the employees of this wonderful resort!
Bjr currently at the hotel we were delighted with beautiful benefits but after 2 days we quickly disillusioned. Indeed our daughter to finish in the hospital following a pool water poisoning she is perfused and we do not know how it will end. disgusted
Let's start with the fact that the hotel gets 1 star due to the treatment of customers in it, which is a pity because if it were not, I would have put it 4.
Let's start with the pluses:
- The hotel is conveniently located near the beach, the promenade and the whole center
- good food (breakfasts a bit monotonous, but overall it's tasty)
- barmaids, cleaners, friendly animators.
- attraction in the hotel also approx.
- nice room, refurbished flawlessly.
Minuses :
a few main ones for which one star goes: we were with a one-year-old child - we had to return by plane at 10:50 pm - already on the 1st day we were at the reception asking for an extension of the hotel day - unfortunately we were ordered to come on the last day. On the last day we found out that it was impossible - after calling the manager with great grace, of course, for a large fee, we were able to beg it - although the number of guests at the hotel was then around 60%.
-Another situation - I left the towel on the deckchair and went to the promenade to take pictures for about 35 minutes, when I came back there was no towel - of course, it is not known what happened to it and if not for the lifeguard who saw the pool boy who took my towel, I would have to pay 30 lions.
- no drinking water - you get 2 bottles of water at the start and then nothing in a 5-star hotel? jokes - you can either carry dozens of liters of bottled water from the shops or drink it from the machine - note that pouring water into bottles from the machine is prohibited by the hotel.
- We also did not receive dinner upon arrival at the hotel as our flight was an hour late.
- our son fell ill and was taking an antibiotic that was supposed to be kept in the refrigerator that did not work - at the beginning the reception said that they would fix it the next day, they said that they would not repair it and they did not have a second one and that's the end.
- The ramp with a trolley from the bottom to the top of the hotel is a good steep feat, so if someone likes sharp cardio in the heat, I recommend it.
It is a pity that we were treated like this because, as I wrote, if not for this approach, the hotel has a lot of potential and could be really nice.
A gigantic 5 * hotel right on the Black Sea with all comforts, but unfortunately also many drinking woodpeckers.
Great experience. Big and clean rooms. Amazing view. Friendly staff. Food and drinks were ok. Positive vibe animation team. Location is excelent on a small hill. An amazing garden surrounds the path to the hotel. There are 3 waterslides. The hotel has a private beach as well free of charge. Our experience was amazing. Would totally recommend coming here...
Very helpful staff accompanied by smiling and friendly host! Very varied food over the days. Lots of people in the hotel but we always find room, we can easily find ourselves in his little corner of tranquility. Great tobbogans for the youngest. I will come back !
Hotel Melia Grand Hermitage is a very good and very large hotel, we were there this year for the second time so when you go back it's about being happy .
Nice staff, respectuos. Good rooms, spacious. Close to the beach, ~100m. All inclusive meals are good although they could improve by providing fresh juices.
The bad thing is the hotel beach, it's small and in 2020 they have some big rocks in the water close to the shore, in which it's easy to hurt yourself especially if a wave is turning you upside down (kids?).
They need to be removed.
Very correct but it is better to go with an agency that you have everything (agency for a group or individual guide), otherwise scam.
A high standard hotel, 5 stars is an exaggeration - but it corresponds to a good 4 stars.

Lovely hotel, my favourite part was that you can easily get food from the pizza and panini bar and the entertainment is great too
Clean rooms. Super pool and great slides. Great hotel. recommend
