My family and I have all been patients at Franklin Square. We have all been treated very well. I had two of my three children there and had no problems at all. The nurses that we had were all great. The hospital was clean. We have been in the ER before and yes, sometimes the wait is long but you are seen in order of emergency. If you just happen to be there on a day when a lot of critical cases come in, you will wait and rightly so. But a lot of people still continue to use the ER as their PCP which takes up time. And the waiting rooms are full because a lot of patients bring in three and four people with them along with children. If you have that many people to bring, leave a few home to take care of the kids. Thats too difficult on children and the person that is ill shouldnt have to worry about making sure they behave. But all in all, Franklin Square is a good hospital. Every hospital has its horror stories. My dad died at Franklin Square and I was not fond of the nurse that he had but out of all of his hospital stays, that was the only complaint and that can happen anywhere. I still go there and it is still my hospital of choice. My husband just had surgery last week and everything was great; from the person who greeted us at the door, the nurses, doctors, admitting, etc. Not one complaint. All very kind and attentive.
