Mednet Insurance Company Review

Thank you for help. I asked for Specialist doctor for my daughter who is not available in my hospital list, mednet allow me to go to doctor after special approval.

I am also facing same problem as others. Rejecting even simple tests for the kids. Most of the hospitals in their network list doesn't recognize them and when we submit our claim, MEDNET makes all possible deductions even for hospitals mentioned in their network list. Insane!!!

The most pathetic insurance company I have come across in last 4 years, I thought no one can win over Orient, but this insurance company has won it.
Since 2 months I am calling and mailing them, they rejected my test for 2 times whose cost was 750 AED, they rejected even simple blood test of sugar.
They forcefully and intentionally consider the medical problem as PEC(pre-existing condition) just to save their money.
and this issue is not just with me but with all of my colleagues.
This is the 1st and last time we bought this insurance as a company.
Whenever they run short of logic, they simple stop replying you back.
They made so many promises before buying it, once they get you trapped, they then screw like an animal.
They will ask you to enjoy with your disease and wait untill 6 months.
The original company DAR AL TAKAFUL and MEDNET are they same.
they make you sandwich in between them.
Not going to recommend even to foes

They do everything in their power not to approve treatment. Take your money quickly, respond slowly. Never again.

The worst possible insurance company that you could ever go for. They have spent 4 weeks to process something as simple as a cyst removal, and it is still pending for them with promises that I will be given a call back the next day with absolutely no update as I have to follow up every time to be given some nonsensical reason for a delay from their side. Even my doctors were like this is nonsensical as the approval for something like this does not take more than a week maximum and if the insurance company is subpar. My advice to anyone who wants to pay loads of money for a premium insurance is to never ever go for this one. Stay as far away from this company and their incompetency as possible. I am trying to cancel and get a refund so I can get my insurance from somewhere else.

I have not availed of any health services as yet but I did speak to a gentleman named Mark Anthony Serrano who was very knowledgeable and gave me all the information I needed very patiently. Praying for good health for everyone!

You have to take approval to go for normal doctor so you have to waste ur time twice and wait for approval which will not be approved in case you not fight for your right at least 1 hrs will call center

I would advice any one to pay more and get something as with this insurance you will get nothing

Zero value for money. Very unprofessional, slow, and poor coverage. Paid a significant premium expecting a good healthcare insurance, but ended up with a useless one, will not renew next year.

Pitiable company, most awful staff and their services. They are supposed to be fine by DHA. Totally ridiculous services ever I find. After paying the insurance payment, for sure they will forget you. customer service of MEDNET is totally pathetic.

I have dealt with different insurance companies but never faced such unprofessional company before. In the incident I am experiencing currently that they are doubting the decision and advise of specialist doctors and by this they are delaying the process of healing the patient. I don t recommend anyone to buy an insurance policy from them.

Do not ever buy this insurance!!! Any checkup is being denied by this insurance. You can only visit doctor and that's it!!!! Even if your coverage 1 500 000 aed.

This is the worst insurance company in Dubai. I won't continue with this insurance and would not recommend anyone to go for it. They will do anything not to approve your treatment.For urgent surgery request, they will simply waste your time for a week and finally reject. This company sucks.

less than one star - very bad health insurance - I advise every one and every organization not to work or deal with them - you lose your money if you pay for insurance which will be very stubborn and rebellious ( that's really describing there policy )

Its the worst insurance i had for more than 10 years in dubai, Purchased the premium plan & paid 30K AED for me & my family and they rejected more 90% of claims with a really bad customer service!!

Bad insurance try something better like bupa for example. They reject any claim.

I don't know why we are buying insurance if we will pay for everything.

Mednet took more than 2 days to approve anything, which a way to let you buy it cash.

BUYER BEWARE. I see by the countless numbers of 1* reviews I should have done my homework. SEVEN MONTHS waiting for a reimbursement for 4 claims, and the team cannot provide any answer despite having all the forms and details in their inbox. Related are Salama and Integra Global - save yourself a headache and go with any other insurer.

Would highly recommend mednet for their exemplary service. i had my money back to my account in a week for my reimbursement claim. it was very fast!

I have a card under Dar Al Takaful, and I called mednet to ask for my coverage. The Helpline can be contacted easily, I don't need to wait for long to be answered.

Don't know where to start... juat don't waste your money and time on Mednet ..

Worst ever! I'm on MedNet Salam Sliver Premium plan, and it is horrible! They keep rejecting medicines and when the hospital tries to call them, they don't respond, and most of lab tests are not included. I pay around 7.5k+ yearly and still paying almost 200-300 AED every Dr. visit.

I used to be on RSA - Now Health and it was much much better.

DO NOT PUT YOUR TRUST AND LIFE ON THIS MEDICAL INSURANCE, or youll end up suffering.
After they took your money, huge amount of premium, they will just find all the reasons they could get just to reject your treatment. If you are currently ill, you will be more sick due to complications, if not because of treatment rejection also because of the long investigation duration which obviously inhumane.

Worst insurance i ever had, They will keep on reject the normal fever medicine blaming about the diagnosis.

Doctor Put proper diagnosis and their system keep on rejecting the same. On the same pharmacy , they said that its the 6th customer facing same issue for the same day.

And i esquire the same with other pharmacy and all of them saying same review (worse insurance).

So people please dont wast your money with this insurance team.

Very complicated approval processes for basic medicines as well. Not a good medical insurance at all.

Customer service totally disregarded the issue I was having - even with me providing the sufficient proof/evidence. If you are looking for medical insurance that is reliable and has competent representatives you should take your business elsewhere.

Been in the UAE for 26 years and had so many MEDICAL Insurances, but this is the first time I received a Call welcoming me in this new insurance. What a Superb SERVICE!

i got my insurance from salama i had no problem of hypertension etc.
but one day i went to a doctor with abdominal pain and he sent request for lab test and i dont know how he sent report to them that i hav 3 yrs hypertension.
so from.here they started their real game.
like u didn't declared this before etc...and continously rejected.
i wish i could have some way to complain about them to higher authority.

This is the most incompetent insurance coordinator in UAE. The customer service team is a joke. I hope they see this and hope they contact me so that I can tell them how mediocre the service they have.

I've been battling with this company for a few weeks now to approve an MRI for my back. Customer service people have tried to help, but it is the doctors at mednet that have been disgraceful and appalling by constantly rejecting the claim. There is no pre existing condition and absolutely no reason to keep rejecting it, but they do it anyway and keep saying that they are waiting for a few reports from the hospital, even though the hospital has repeatedly told me that they have given them everything. It's criminal and it's exactly why people do not trust insurance companies. Absolutely disgraceful and ridiculous.

Approvals are smooth - faced minor to no issues since the past 2 years.

Christian Francis from the Customer Service team is doing a very commendable job, he knows what he's doing and knows how to perfectly resolve issues. An absolute angel for all problems.

Disgusting service and employees that try to run around rejecting everything. They accessed my medical records even though I refused to sign the form to allow them to. they tried to accuse me of covering up a pre existing condition when I needed an mri from them to find out if I have ot to begin with. All this to avoid approving the MRI. I paid a high premium of almost 13,000 aed for for insurance for myself and I'm only 25 years old and I got the worst service. Never again. Trash

Terrible insurance , such a scam. Increased my premium 5 x because I went for 5 physio sessions for some post natal treatment and the insurance company decided to diagnose me with a uterine prolapse. They did the same with my baby whom I took to the dr for a few colds and they told me they will increase my premium because she has chronic chest infections. Needless to say we will not be renewing

Worst most unethical insurance company! That's how insurance companies make their money anyway, by not paying you back on your claims. Was following with a professional and support lady who tried her best to recover the claim but it didn't work out. Management didn't even bother answering and left me waiting for 3 weeks if I hadn't called to follow up. Thumbs up really!

By far the worst insurance company! Do not make a mistake and insure any of you family/company with them!
Will not renew with them and working currently on having my company also not renewing with them. I am pregnant and they have rejected every single mandatory regular tests needed, most of my medicine I have paid myself!

To be frank every insurance have its own advantages and disadvantages , so by far Mednet is one of the good premium medical insurances available in the market currently.

Very good service wide network and the staff are so cooperative. Reimbursement is amazing 5 days and your money is in your account never see this before

Not recommended, I got it through insurancemsrket.ae, it's frustrating to deal with mednet. They offer lots of benefits but you won't get any that's including treatments and medicine too (the excuse will be: "it's not covered") and it will take them a while to approve any medication, so you will end up buying it to treat yourself. Don't trust them or count on them. They will do the impossible to reject requests and they will stall to waist time so you will give up and end up buying it.
My advice is to check other companies first and read the reviews. There are plenty in the market. But honestly, don't even bother calling them. They will just take your money and you will get nothing back.

First of all I dont even want to give even one star to people. My husband is having a insurance from mednet which is silk road which has much benefits compared to basic insurance and also cost is more than 2 times of basic insurance. The First time my husband visited doctor they did not approve the prescription because they did not know patient history and they requested a medical form. Second time he visited was 4 days back they requested medical form again because it was new condition, after submission of form they aproved medicine and few testes were done. Now once test report has arrived and they can see each and every details in report based on report the doctor has prescribed new medicine and they are not ready to approve they need doctor to fill a new medical form. Each time u consult a doctor they need doctor to fill medical form. The pharmacist and doctors are so irritated just because of the requirements. They even say the basic medicines are not getting approved it's been more than 2 days we need to call them again and again and check for status and still the customer service people are so arrogant they are fed up with customer complaints and they just give so many excuses to prove that the mistake is from doctor bcz there is no required details they infact give stupid excuses. We have paid Aed 1700 for the insurance but every time we have pay for the prescribed medicine there was no benefits from the insurance. They fool people with the benefits before u buy the insurance once u buy them they do not approve anything. Please do not trust them they are just here to make money and cheat people. Please use diffrent insurance there are many diffrent insurance who provide good benefits in basic plan.

My experience with Mednet was great, Approvals are smooth with no major issues, everything is solved.

Absolute worst experience! MedNet say they have they will cover and help customers but I have had OnLy bad experiences and no re-imbursments paid and facilities listed under their scope.

Mednet is one of the best insurance companies I have come across. The staff were very helpful and cooperative when I had approached them with some issues. They are very professional and helpful in sorting it out. I would recommend this insurance to all my colleagues and well wishers.

Went to the pharmacy last Friday and hand over my prescription to the pharmacist while telling them I'll be back to collect it. Few minutes later I was surprised to received an SMS that my medicine was approved in seconds only. So I hurriedly went back to collect it. It was indeed an awesome service!

Zero customer service, zero professionalism, zero human being and worst experience ever, no one takes care of the client only rejection we are receiving despite of the condition. I'm pretty sure that no one will bother himself to contact me or to know what happened with me. My first time to have MEDNET insurance and for sure last time. Very dissatisfied.

If you do not want to suffer from a nervous breakdown and save yourself or your company a lot of money, please DO NOT choose Oreint Mednet. YOU WILL END PAYING yourself rather than being in pain especially if it is for your child. They will do their best to reject your approval. asking for further reports and justifications, Ideologies etc and after weeks, you love yourself and pay.

the worst ,when i wanted to renew my insurance with them they raised their prices from last year by 20% ,i still agreed because all of my papers are with them it would be easier if i renew, once i paid they asked for 10,000 extra .

Provider deserves zero rating or less bcz have experienced worst service and got foolish reply from concerned staffs while I was contacted them through telephone and also through email for my orthopedic treatment plan( Did follow up more than one month and got stupid reply...)

For everyone not happy with Mednet as I am; Mednet is a network provider and not the insurance company; if you are not happy, make sure that you do not take an insurance that is part of Mednet, go for an insurance that uses another network, for example NAS.

I cannot put 0 stars. This is not a place taking care of your health but a business, run with all the might a Wall Street company might do. My 4-yo son was rejected an operation based on loose grounds of congenital sickness nobody could prove. they don t even care about the age of the patients. Please do not use them

Did my medical insurance ... its expensive and the approval takes time and doesnt cover much

I had this insurance last year 2018-2019 and they were ok, the company would approve services with some difficulties but eventually we would get the care we needed, I renewed for the next year 2019-2020 and it has just been a nightmare! They are not approving anything, even basic services, I ask to speak to managers on the phone & I am informed I will be called back in 30 minutes (it has been 7 days & I am still waiting for a callback from a manager called Mark). I have been hours on the phone trying to just get for example Physiotherapy (which my insurance clearly covers). I will not be renewing for the following year. It should not be this hard when you pay a lot of money for the insurance.

My friend has severe pain and has been waiting for their approval of gal bladder surgery.they are delaying it for one or other reason. Everyday they say new thing.. waste of money and waste of time..highly disappointed

Doesnt deserve any star...there should be a zero or a negative rating for this insurance provider...after paying close to AED. 30K per Annum for my family insurance, rejected claims of higher value at multiple times...that too of emergency nature...i decided not to leave this time, after rejection of a recent emergency dental treatment for my wife...they said, my terms were revised or changed during renewal - which they never communicated until this claim was raised...now when i decided to fight, they are asking clarification for classifying the incident as emergency...its pending more than a month, even after necessary reports were submitted from clinic....its nothing but cheating....last year an emergency D&C procedure claim for my wife was also rejected by MedNet...

This is the best health insurance company i have ever dealt with. Thank you!!

Alway get great service and quick refund turnaround. Banks in the UAE should take a page from them.
