McMenamins style with the colorful paintings. It has a dormitory feel with the share bathrooms. Dogs are welcomed with a small fee. Some of the rooms don't have AC so ask about each room nefore booking if that is a concern. The salt water soaking pool is large enough to provide quiet areas for conversations while not be too enormous. Several areas with McMenamins bar food. Two could have a couole of beers, dinner and desert for under 40 dollars.
Lots of free music, films and activities.

A beautiful place to spend a few hours or a few days with friends and family. Tip: check the event calendar for the day's your planning to visit. The concerts are outside and very loud. Not a bad thing, just something to keep in mind.

I don't know how it has taken me so long to "discover" McMenamins, but I'm hooked. I love the whimsy and quirkiness. This is an amazing get away from the city even though it is right here. Come for the day to enjoy the grounds, the myriad bars, the soaking pool, or treat yourself for a rather unique hotel experience.

Nothing else like this! Wonder the old farm grounds and search for the little bars and eateries tucked into places like the old ice house, wood shed, stables, or even out in the open air. Love the quarks and novelties found around every corner. Service can be slow, so make sure you have some extra time when you come here.

The Steve Martin & Martin Short act was good, but very very short. There was no monitoring of seat heights, so people in front of us were in tall seats and blocked our view. Food & drinks were way overpriced and the food made me sick. I had to miss work today.

The venue is awesome, but the hotel staff is terrible, and so was our waitress at the black rabbit restaurant.
We had a hotel room reserved weeks in advance. My friend and I both called multiple times to make sure they were giving us a room where my elderly dog could stay, and asked for a roll over bed for a third person. On the phone they always confirmed that everything was fine and that they would give me a room with no stair to access, and close to an outdoor pet area to make it easy for my 15 year old dog, and that they would bring a rollover bed for a third person for $15 more. When we got there we paid for everything upfront, including the extra charges for pet and for the rollover bed, but they never brought the extra bed. We asked for the bed again, when they said that the room they gave us could not accommodate a third bed. We asked for at least a robe so we could all go to the pool, they would not give us, even though we laid for a third person who would now have to sleep on the floor. After arguing to get that, they finally agree to bring a robe.
While we were celebrating my friends birthday, security approached my husband and I accusing us of sneaking a dog in a non pet friendly room, and that we would have to pay $200 fine if I didn't go to front desk to take care of this issue. I said I would go talk to them the next morning because I did not want to interrupt my good time with friends to deal with that, when that was the hotel's mistake to give me the wrong room. She said I would be charged $200 on my credit card, then. I went to front desk and explained that we had called multiple times asking for a pet friendly room, and she acklowlneged that there was a miscommunication on that, but never apologized for their mistake, and kept pushing the blame on me. We had 20+ people at the Black rabbit restaurant, and we were all spending a lot of money there, of course. Everyone was very chill and polite- not rowdy or anything. The waitress was super snooty and treated as she was making us a favor serving us.
Moral of story: visit the place and enjoy the bars, but don't stay at the hotel.

Went to see Willie Nelson and the venue was amazing. The restaurants were clean and very atmospheric. The craft beer and liquors were all tasty and the winery was very beautiful. The staff were knowledgeable about there product and were quick to respond to an empty glass. We attended a catered event and the food was very tasty and was made all on location. I would suggest visiting Edgefield to any one who lives in Oregon or Washington as a Disneyland like cultivated experience for adults.

Upstairs restaurant was awful at the bar. Waited 1 hour after we ordered food for something to show up. Bartenders ignoring us and eating food infront of us at end of the bar. The only reason it's not 1 star is the burger my wife ordered tasted pretty good. My sandwich was cold and unimpressive.

The place was really cool, very lively with alot to do there and pretty much a bar for everyone. But the only issue I had was that ordering food and until it gets there is a pretty long wait. Which is understandable since they have one main kitchen that servers most of the other bars.

Imagine a company that is saving the past. That's the McMenamins brothers. Building by building, they are rescuing old historic structures from total destruction. And their re-imagined concept is wonderful. Edgefield is a great place for meeting with friends, tasting wine, playing golf or just walking the beautifully planted grounds. My favorite spot is the little red shed, peanuts and the warm fire.

Amazing place for concerts. Bring a blanket or chairs and get there early to get your pick of spots. But honestly nearly every spot has a good view. There's a ton of food and drink options there so you can get there early to get good parking. Parking can be a hassle, especially after the concert, if you can find parking in the neighborhood, that's the easiest for getting in and out quick.

Great property. Love the ability to wander around and experience the different hidden areas. Had a great time on the par 3. Fun course, can be a bit of a ball eater, so don't underestimate!

Edgefield is one of favorite places to visit when we want to entertain guests, or want a "Staycation". It's such a large piece of property, there is something for everyone. Wine, beer, spirits, golf, concerts, art, it goes on and on.

Great location to walk around at. Usually pretty busy so there's usually a 20 minute wait for a table. If your just wanting to grab a drink at the bar and walk around it takes just about as long as waiting for a table. Other then that it's a pretty place to visit.

The little red shack was a new location for me and was so enjoyable with a glass of their fine peanuts. A dark room in the back and listening to the rain with a double ipa. Recommend to those wanting a quiet yet sociable atmosphere.

Secluded in a gorgeous locale, Edgefield is a winding labyrinth of history and art that gets better with each visit. There are 10 food and drink establishments on the property, from the grand Black Rabbit, to the innocuous Little Red Shed. Most of the bars during peak hours are very popular, both with hotel guests and evening visitors, so plan accordingly. In addition to food and drink, there are plenty of other activities to choose from. Stop by the Power Station Theater for popcorn and a movie, enjoy a relaxing massage or spa treatment at Ruby's Spa and Salon (for hotel guests, there is a private soaking pool to partake in as well), or check the schedule at Edgefield's website for music concerts and other activities going on. Like most McMenamins hotels, the guest rooms are quaint and whimsical; each room is named after an author, artist, or historical figure and no two rooms feel exactly the same. Rooms do not have a TV, but there is plentiful WiFi access around the entire property. Each floor has a number of European-style common bathrooms for guests to use, although a few select king and queen suites do come with a private bathroom. Edgefield is an amazing property, whether you are just meeting for food and drinks, planning an event, or looking for a place to spend the night or three.

My wife and i have stayed here multiple times and after last night we will never make that mistake again. We were repremanded for a noise complaint when it was our neighbors making the noise and also last night we were fined $200 for a cleaning fee after staff claimed to have seen us smoking out of the widow which we absolutely were not doing.

If you haven't been there you need to go there. With the multiple bars on site you should be able to find a beer, wine or spirit to suit your taste. From the historic features to the par 3 golf course this place is amazing. Oh yeah, the food is always great and the staff is too.

The food was excellent, the service was awesome. To really enjoy all the sites you'll need to stay a night or two....or revisit several more times. Lots to see and do, walk the grounds and see the different art.

My husband and I enjoyed wandering around the grounds. When it came to our early dinner, my Aztec salad was mostly lettuce, so I had to ask for some more corn and bean salsa, but our server was quick to respond. After that, my salad was great! We attended a history pub presentation, and it was quite packed with guests. However, the slideshow was enjoyable, and was overall a good experience.

This place is a mess. There isn't a show worth the absolute $h:t$h0w it is to leave. I will never EVER return to this venue for food, beer, or a concert. We have been waiting in the parking lot for over an hour to leave. This is a staffing and logistics issue. Don't waste your money.

Our family has watched this place grow from the abandoned "Workhouse" for the poor to the amazing inn, shops, restaurants, pubs and inviting grounds that have been lovingly restored and improved upon. Years ago when we first began attending the Scottish Games in Gresham I took my children to tour the old "Poor House". It was a unique history lesson that they have never forgotten.
Many years ago, a very kind white haired gentleman in a kilt, would bring a chair and sit in our booth to visit with our family and other customers. I ran a little family business, "Dolly's Scot Shop". My children looked forward to seeing him every year. I know he was related to the McMenamins in someway but I never found out just exactly how.
