The venue is awesome, but the hotel staff is terrible, and so was our waitress at the black rabbit restaurant.
We had a hotel room reserved weeks in advance. My friend and I both called multiple times to make sure they were giving us a room where my elderly dog could stay, and asked for a roll over bed for a third person. On the phone they always confirmed that everything was fine and that they would give me a room with no stair to access, and close to an outdoor pet area to make it easy for my 15 year old dog, and that they would bring a rollover bed for a third person for $15 more. When we got there we paid for everything upfront, including the extra charges for pet and for the rollover bed, but they never brought the extra bed. We asked for the bed again, when they said that the room they gave us could not accommodate a third bed. We asked for at least a robe so we could all go to the pool, they would not give us, even though we laid for a third person who would now have to sleep on the floor. After arguing to get that, they finally agree to bring a robe.
While we were celebrating my friends birthday, security approached my husband and I accusing us of sneaking a dog in a non pet friendly room, and that we would have to pay $200 fine if I didn't go to front desk to take care of this issue. I said I would go talk to them the next morning because I did not want to interrupt my good time with friends to deal with that, when that was the hotel's mistake to give me the wrong room. She said I would be charged $200 on my credit card, then. I went to front desk and explained that we had called multiple times asking for a pet friendly room, and she acklowlneged that there was a miscommunication on that, but never apologized for their mistake, and kept pushing the blame on me. We had 20+ people at the Black rabbit restaurant, and we were all spending a lot of money there, of course. Everyone was very chill and polite- not rowdy or anything. The waitress was super snooty and treated as she was making us a favor serving us.
Moral of story: visit the place and enjoy the bars, but don't stay at the hotel.
