Had a wonderful time last Saturday. My husband and I went to attend the concert, but made sure to arrive before 4pm to ensure a parking spot and allow for us to have a leisurely meal and drinks. The concert menu for the Black Rabbit was amazing and surprisingly not crowded for as busy as Edgefield was.

We found ourselves in a great expanse of lovely trees , shrubs, and flowers. As we roamed the edgefield grounds, we came upon many fun stops, our primary location being the secluded little red shed. While they have a limited menu, they make up for it in atmosphere. We enjoyed our drinks in the tiny seating area of the shed while we smelled the fire pits outside and overheard the people laughing and enjoying their drinks outside. A+ for atmosphere

Attended a concert. The organization of the events was impressive. Many tents offering similar beer and drink offerings helped make the lines manageable. Event staff was vigilant and helpful.

Its all magic, it's all whimsical, its all fun and neat to see it all. The glass blowing shop is great. All the bars are good add the tater tots are relishing and yummier than ever. Beers, Hammerhead good, pales good, but the grapefruit beer is not so good. I didn't like it at all. The distillery tour is fun to see, but our guide seemed like he just knew the process but didn't really understand it. He did mention that he had only been in the distillery for a few months. Everything else was good, and fun. Keep up the weird goodness!

Wandering through the gardens and historic buildings at Edgefield takes you back to quieter, simpler times. There is something to see around every corner and no shortage of good eats and drinks along with friendly service.

OK!!! So... This is or was one of my favorite places. It has always been a fun and positive environment here.. OK I love this place!!! I recommend it to people.. But the other day I was here I had an experience that I just could not let go..
My wife and I were there to meet some friends for a birthday party. So we were looking for them.. First the power station, then the Loading dock court yard.. Then this little bar just North East of the Loading dock.. Right across from the brewing tanks.. Just west of the wine house. A little bar with very few people in it.. We went in and I made a little joke." Oh this is the quiet bar." People kind of giggled.. So I wanted to check it out.. I don't know if the people thought I was trying to cut in line or what.. But I must have rubbed some one the wrong way. It was very little people in this little bar.. And it seemed like it took a long time to get a beer.. So I asked the people in front of us.. "What's going on??".. I was watching this lady at the bar play on her phone. And the Bartender really wasn't saying anything to them.. Maybe I didn't really understand what was happening.. But the lady on the phone snaps and says we're ordering!!! Then the bar tender snaps... Yeah they were here before you!! I'm like damn...
So I tried to apologize to the bar tender. She just turned her back to me.. She made me feel very unwelcome.. I felt she was very unprofessional, and really not that good at her job.
I always had positive energy here at Edgefield.. We love this place!! It's like a escape from reality!!! But this night. May 25, at 7pm this is the night that's gonna stick out the most. I wish I would have told the bar tender that she was being unprofessional.. I wish I would have let her know how she treated me was wrong!!! I'm angry with myself about that.. I could have helped her see!!

Went to walk around the grounds at twilight, very pretty still lots of activities, people, and food and drink to be found. Staff was very nice and accommodating throughout the entire property. Lots of nice gardens, gift shops, and golf courses to be found as well.

Be sure to check out the wine, beer and distillery tours.

The Black Rabbit restaurant is spendy but the food is great. Culinary great, not diner great.

If you are familiar with eating at McMenamins and enjoy the food, atmosphere and wait times. You will not be surprised at Edgefield. Edgefield is the captiol of the McMenamins restaurants in my opinion. If you are coming to Portland and looking for that Portland feel, this is where you go. You'll get beer, gardens, old buildings, eclectic styles and decent food. Just treat the visit as an experience and not a place for a quick bite to eat (unless you consider beer to be food). Be on the look out for what events are running at Edgefield. They can really affect how busy the grounds, wait times and parking can be. For example, we came during a month long beer drinking festival. Parking was harder to come by and it took us over an hour to get food (35 min line, 35 to 40 min for food after ordering). But the weather was nice and we had beer, so sit back and relax

We have traveled to 80% of Mcmenamins this definitely isn't the place I recommend. Edgefield doesn't hold up to the unique quirky design of a typical Mcmenamins and the customer service in most departments is lackluster at best. We have gone on several occasions with friends and at this point we won't be going back. We typically love Mcmenamins so it's weird this place is just so off for us. Go once, and make your own mind up! Good luck.

Huge compound with multiple restaurants and bars, plus gift shops the hotel, the spa, a tiny always crowded Tasting Room, a golf course, a Vineyard, Crafts shops with blown glass, and much more. Like all McMenamins, it's rambling and quirky and you can easily wander around for a while trying to find what you want. The food options are okay and sometimes a little pricier than the quality, but there's a wide variety of options.

Edgefield hosts an awesome Celebrate Syrah wine event every year in April which is a great stop if you like the Big Reds. The biggest drawback of this location is how crowded and chaotic at usually feels and finding adequate service amidst The Horde can be difficult.

Narrow two way road, everything is hidden by tall bushes, limited signage and multiple parking lots with limited parking space. Went to a wedding here and I was just a little underwhelmed.

I go to an edgefield concert usually at least once a year, and while the lines are sometimes excessive and it can be hard to find a place to sit for really packed shows, it's a great venue where I have seen some of my favorite shows ever.

Absolutely love McMenimans!!! This location is fantastic! There are plenty of super fun activities and the service is quite good! Encountered one server who had a bad attitude and poor customer service but everyone else was awesome!! Power house food is so good!!

This place is definitely a destination worth making it out to once in a while. McMenamins makes alright food and mediocre beer in my opinion, but the property itself, summer live music, and several bars to choose from makes it worth the trip.

One of the best McMenamins properties. This location is rich in history, having originally been built as a poor house/farm. Many have claimed to see ghost of former farm hands, elderly patients and even a nurse while staying on the property. There is currently a fully functioning winery, brewery, movie theater, golf course and several places to grab a fantastic meal. The property can be visited for overnight stays and host weddings and business events.

We attended a wedding and reception at the blackberry Hall. The venue was very nice and had plenty of room for the 50 or so guests. The food was excellent and I would definately recommend this for event and parties.

We always have fun at the Edgefield. The only thing that is a little irritating is that anytime after 7pm that place is so packed full of people and there is no where for a group to sit. So my advice, get there early!

Went into the restaurant for lunch, great food, great staff. We overheard some staff talking about the underground poolhall. In the basement of the Hotel, is a poolhall, 6-8 pool tables, shuffle board tables, juke box, and a full bar. Great place to meet up with friends, drinks, and good times.

My wife and I are amazed by this place. We visit twice a year. Endless amounts of things to do. The soaking pool has to be the best thing about it though, other than the service. The staff do their very best too please everyone. The food is great. Drinks are great. EVERYTHING IS GREAT ABOUT EDGEFIELD!

Well normally our experience is great. However, this time, July 20, 2018 when we tried to be seated at the outdoor area left of the Firehouse Pub...we were sorely disappointed. The hostess took our name and cell number. She told us it would be 15 to 20 minutes. We received a confirmation text. After 30 minutes, we saw many other couples and groups be seated and we received no text letting us know it was our turn. It's now been over 2 hours. We left annoyed and hungry.
