Went to the Cake/Ben Folds concert here. As a person who needs ADA accomodation, I was less than impressed. Would have been a better show if I had just hung out on the porch at the McMenamins instead of buying a concert ticket.

It was easy to find street parking so we didn't have to deal with the parking lot after the show. However, as we were leaving we asked an employee what the fastest way to get down to the street was and she directed us to cut left and go through a side exit that didn't have a long line. We got out of the huge line we were in and cut over, but when we got to the side entrance there were 4 employees guarding the small exit way and they said that exit was only for the handicap. We asked if it was an open exit out of the parking lot that we could walk down to the street from and they confirmed that it was, but no one is allowed out this exit unless they're handicap. It just seemed bizarre that people were denied because they weren't handicapped. We ended up having to walk back over and get in the huge line we were originally in, and walk up and around the venue in order to get back to the street.

I used to truly love this place, but it's so crowded now and the service at the Power Station Restaurant definitely reflects this. They're slow to turn around orders, and the food is commonly cold when it arrives. The property is beautiful though and it's still worth a visit during the off season.

My first event with my new peers, we had dinner at Power Station, it was very good. We knew orders take a while, our waiter did a great job. A little on the spendy side but I enjoyed the Aztec Salad with chicken and a hard cider, then we went around the different areas, need to come back soon with the family

This place is amazing. The whole concept to it amazes me. They make their own wines, beers, have thier own gardens. Tons of bars, restaurants, winery, golf course and hotel! It's tons of fun.
Service on a sunday night wasn't anything to brag about but the week day was much better.

Fantastic all around. Like nothing most people have experienced. Imagine a bar owner bought a village, filled it with alcohol, food, a movie theater, a hotel, and live entertainment, and imagine it was actually run well. Mix in some historical buildings and guests who seem to be generally friendly and it s a winning recipe. Can t go wrong at any McMenamins property.

One of, if not the best McMenamins places around. It is huge!! There is nothing better than being able to wander around nature with a beer in your hand. The golf course also gives you a fun option to pass time.

This place is great! It is fun to explore this place and get a little lost. The food and drink is top notch. There is a cool venue to see concerts, there is a movie theatre, and you csn even get married here. There is truly something for everyone here. Can't recommend it enough.

McMenamins is really a great idea and so unique, but there are definitely some negatives about my most recent stay here.

First and foremost, if you want a weekend full of drinking beer/wine/eating/movies and golf then it's perfect. If you want some sleep, then it's not.

That is really one of the only negatives, but a big one for me as I'm writing this I want to fall back asleep.

The walls are so thin that every single person that walks by, speaks a word, sneezes -- you hear it. It kept me and my boyfriend up all night. So a good nights sleep is definitely not something I would look forward to here. On top of it, they give you 2 really thin blankets. We were both pretty chilly all night, I have never been anywhere where they give you so few blankets.

Let me say, our main reason for going here was to relax in the outdoor pool, which that wasn't the most pleasant experience either. First of all, it's in a distant building so you have to walk outside to get to it - which that wouldn't been as big of a deal if there was better lighting. We stepped in every single massive puddle because we couldn't see anything when we were trying to get there. Not to mention the cars couldn't see us either so we were dodging those too. Once at the pool, it looks fabulous and feels amazing BUT one thing they are seriously lacking is somewhere to hang your robe/clothes/towel. In Oregon it rains a good amount, and it did just that last night, but since we had no where to put our stuff everything got soaked as well. So now it's freezing, dark, and we only have wet towels to wrap around us to get back to the main lodge. Even if they just put a few extra lights and some outdoor clothes hangers with a roof it would make a MASSIVE difference. SO easy to even just make yourself.

Overall, I wouldn't go back unless I was with a crew of friends and wasn't planning on getting much sleep. I still do really love this place, just wouldn't spend the night again, I'd rather sleep at home.

I love the summer concert series but it's always at least somewhat disorganized. The Weird Al concert last night was no exception, they ran out of food while there were still dozens of people in line and there were no parking attendants to direct traffic in the upper lot once the show let out (leading to a frustrating and inefficient free for all trying to get out).

Maybe I just pick the popular, sold out concerts and the rest are less busy and more organized?

Cane here for a family wedding and can't wait to return. My room was adorable. The food was fantastic, and the drinks were spot on. Had such a wonderful time exploring the grounds with my kids.

Beautiful gardens and landscape. Always a pleasure and good time visiting any of their properties! We came for history night and loved the presentation! Walked the property after and finished our Edgefield pages of our passports and got our awesome coffee mugs! The soaking pool here is also so incredible! Go here! It's amazing

I won't be back! They tell you to bring short chairs so that you don't impede others view, however, staff doesn't enforce people not standing so you are unable to even see a small portion of the stage of you are disabled! $40 for tickets & $9 for a glass of chardonnay but you can't enjoy the concert! NOT WORTH IT!!! On top of that, some of the staff is completely unprofessional & just rude. It didn't seem they were there to work or enforce rules or safety when they are just standing there & won't even acknowledge you when you're speaking to them!

We actually had to walk out before ordering at the Black Rabbit (their nice restaurant). We were seated, promised bread and drinks and after over 20 minutes of waiting (and watching others nearby get helped), we left. All the fancy things in the world won't make up for bad service! That would have been a 1 star rating, but the gardens were so lovely and we really enjoyed our walk beforehand, so it earned them another star.

I visited the restaurant and grounds for my 21st birthday, it was beautiful and well laid out. I love the pool hall! The only reason I'm giving this a four-star review is because the bartender was actually really rude.

This place is adorable. We opted to eat in the bar - the art was unique, the wooden paneling was warm, the small tables set in the corners cozy. The drink options include beer from the brewery, wine from the winery, and cocktails made with liquor from the distillery. The food was tasty, but best of all was the friendly service! Definitely a little gem.

Went to the Power Station Pub. Burgers are good. Had the UFO burger this time. Bun was really good, patty cooked to medium, topped eith tillamook cheddar, crispy onion rings, crispy bacon, some lettuce and thinly sliced smally red onions, and spicy mayo sauce which I opted for on the side. Texturewise, it was fantastic. Bun had both softness and crispness, crispy onions were crispy, bacon was crispy and flavorful, patty was juicy although a little small. I was a little sad when I came to the last few bites and only had the bun left with nothing else. A bigger patty would have been fantastic. Overall a great burger that I could barely open my mouth wide enough to take a bite. So big that a smaller person might dislocate their jaw to eat but even then it would be worth it. Had the basil and white cheddar burger the last time I was there and that was good too. Definately choose tots over fries if you enjoy crispy potatoes otherwise their fries I beleive are fresh cut and those are never crispy at restaurants unless the soak them in cold water for a day or two to reduce the starch or use some sort of batter which the don't. The friend I was with didn't seem to enjoy fish and chips much and wished they would have ordered a burger too. Enjoyed the black and tan brownie at the end. It came out with the brownie and dish hot and topped with the edgefield vanilla bean ice cream, which is pretty good, in a pool of caram-ale sauce and some drizzled on top of the ice cream. Thought it was going to be overly sweet but turned out just a tad bit sweet. The flavors were good. Textures were creamy, juicy from the sauce, and soft and velvety from the brownie. Both cold and warm would mingle in your mouth creating the perfect harmony. But the dish does have its downfall being itself being too hot and melting the ice cream too fast creating an ice cream mess all over it. If they were to tranfer the hot brownie onto a cold dish the ice cream may have lasted longer. But too bad it was too good and too small for two people to share and was gone within 2 minutes. Toasted crushed hazelnuts on top would have made it even better.

McMenamins is a treat! We stay there and they give a complimentary bottle of wine for birthdays! The food is good and I was impressed with the one vegan burger but with they had more vegan options and particularly something for breakfast. Or a vegan pizza that is not GF. The rooms are spacious and interesting. Servers and bartenders are generally friendly and fast. Drinks were great if a little pricey. Its fun to roam the estate and enjoy the firepits. The soaking pool is beyond amazing. The golf course is smallish and I wish they had better directions about how to reach Hole 1 on the 12 hole course because we ended up on the wrong course. Overall a great place to stay and enjoy drinks in cute little unique bars all over the estate. Id love to see a live show there some day. They are doing a great job working with the covid rules and I cant wait for everything to be open later than 10!

I've been visiting Edgefield for a couple years now, for different occasions at various lengths. I've stayed overnight, I've gone for the day - I think I can say in full confidence that Edgefield is at its best as a day trip. Either a spa day, a wedding, a concert or a special event: The Poor Farm will set you up nicely for good time. Staying the night though? It's not my favorite historic hotel. The rooms, even the higher end ones, are in desperate need of updating. It's hotel cousins Grand Lodge and Anderson School are much, much better examples of what a McMenamins hotel should be.

Great environment, good food, taste drinks. From fine dining to fun fire pits and pool tables, Edgefield is a great place for a first date, anniversary, or place for friends to gather and laugh!

One of the best hotel experiences to be had. Like spending the night inside an art museum, with pubs, spa, theater, concerts, and gardens to stroll in. Shared baths, or private. Priced right.

One of the best outdoor arenas in the Portland metropolitan area. Saw the Avett Brothers, and of course the show was phenomenal. It is a bit of a walk in from the parking area, but the food there was delicious as well as the beverage service. I love seeing shows at the Edgefield. It has become a summer time tradition.

I went to McMenamins Edgefield for an organized 5k race. It was very well put together and on the beautiful golf course there. There's also some vineyards right there, and I can see how the gardens would be beautiful in the summer. Definitely need to go again to do the other fun things this place has to offer.

It is my favorite place to hang out in the Portland area when we hit our first sunny day in Spring. Love walking around the grounds having a variety of beers, wine or cocktails. Love it so much, I got married there.

The venue is very nice overall with plenty of seating for the concert we were attending. Food purchased at the event was decent, though expensive for the quality. Drink choices were plentiful. Traffic leaving the venue is a nightmare.
