Although we had some bumps in the road with service department when we first dropped off our camper, once we made the new service manager aware of our issues, he came up with a solution. He also assured us that he is working with staff & providing additional training to improve the department. Nick definitely restored my faith in their service department.

My husband and I were interested in a larger fifth wheel than the 2017 Montana model that we had- just needed more room for long trips. We had been looking online at various models and actually visited another dealership before going to McGeorgeRV. To be perfectly honest, yes, we had read a lot of negative reviews, but as we had purchased our last unit from them before they merged with Camping World, we decided to make the trip to look at their inventory. Not only did we find exactly what we were looking for, but got what we feel was a fantastic deal. Our salesman, Ricardo, and credit manager David were both professional and treated us with respect.

My wife and I recently had our Class A serviced at Camping World McGeorge RV Rolling Hills in Ashland, VA. We are very pleased with the customer service and actions of their Service Department team. Specifically Sammy, Emma and Jay. Together they worked through the maelstrom of scheduling to complete our RV 45 point inspection. Although the inspection resulted in more issues to be repaired, your team took care of our needs which has set us up for a pleasant two week vacation.
Additionally I want you to know that Hope, in your parts department, is an asset to the company. Her highly positive demeanor and dedication to customer service is admirable to say the least.
Again, I want to thank you and ensure your team members in parts and service, Hope, Sammy, Emma and Jay are recognized for their commitment to quality customer service. Good job one and all.
While working with CW of Ashland, we witnessed some un-happy customers and incurred some self-inflicted frustration. To that end I recommend the following for customers to reduce frustration.
1. Be patient, kind and respectful. These folks want to help you, they also understand you want a quick turn on your unit.
2. Learn and understand the service process. Information and communication should reduce stress and frustration on all fronts.
3. Be sure to share all of your pertinent information, like the warranty information, date and location of purchase, cellular phone and etc.
4. Call ahead to schedule an appointment well ahead of your planned trip. Most RV Service departments have a long lead time mostly due to a lack of trained, qualified and caring technicians.
5. Have a to do list of the faults you want repaired and communicate that when scheduling the appointment.
6. During reception, provide the to-do list and ask for a walk around of the unit with the service writer. This also reduces frustration because it encourages face to face conversation.
7. Once the service writer inputs the requirements into their system they should provide a flat rate estimate (less electrical and plumbing). Ask for a copy of the estimate.
8. Ask for an estimated completion time and date. Planning ahead on your part will significantly reduce frustration.
9. Follow-up. Stay in communication with the Service Department. It is great if you know the names of the service writer and technicians. Remember the estimated completion date. I recommend calling one week from the promised date to see how the work is progressing.
10. At pick-up; review the service order and all that was accomplished, and conduct another walk-around of the unit with the Service Writer and the technician if available.
11. Once the work is complete and all parties are satisfied, thank them for their help. Be patient, kind and respectful.

My husband and I contacted McGeorge RV to set an appointment for when we were to be in the area. We were paired with Justin Tiggett, as he specializes in the brand of motorhome we are interested in. Pre-visit email communication was less attentive than we expected. Upon arrival, Justin impressed us with his knowledge of the product, and even took us for a test drive in a motorhome. We will definitely stay in touch with Justin as we navigate through the process of purchasing our motorhome.

We purchased our Coleman travel trailer here in June. Salesman, Rodney, greeted us at the front door and after giving him an idea of what we d were looking for he took us straight to the trailer we ended up purchasing. Rodney was very knowledgeable on inventory and demonstrated excellent customer service. I will say, there were some hidden charges that we didn t notice until we came home that evening and went over our paperwork... the financial guy said they are for transport of trailer to lot, etc... but we had already made our decision so we went ahead with the purchase.Once we got the trailer home and hooked up we discovered the battery wouldn t hold charge. In a panic, a few days before our first camping trip we called the service department. It happened to be the week of Fourth of July and after reading other reviews we were very concerned about the likelihood of having it fixed in time. We dropped our trailer off the evening of Fourth of July and by noon the following day the service department called to say it had been fixed. We picked it up that evening and left for our trip the following day. We are so grateful for the customer service we ve experienced at McGeorge Camping World.

We purchased our first camper at McGeorge's yesterday, and had a wonderful experience! Our salesman, Jeff, went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and ensure we had what we needed. He was a pleasure to work with. Cheryl in financing was excellent- very friendly and helpful.
Really everyone- our delivery coordinators, the technician who did our walk-through, every single staff member- was wonderful. We purchased one of the lowest cost units available, but you would never know it- they treated us like we were important! That says something. I was so impressed with their service, and process overall. Camping this weekend!!!

Don't stop here if you are buying used! I found this RV on the internet site of the company. I am from out state and made a deal over the phone, contingent on me looking at the RV first. When I arrived it was being cleaned. I did a walk through and was told I would have a chance to look through it again. I waited in the waiting room from 11 am till 3 pm. When I was allowed to go through again I found three problems. Two were fixed. One was not. I was told it could be repaired by my local RV dealer if they could not finish it. On my drive home I experienced the third issue again. I parked the RV overnight. It rained and I found the front windshield leaking in the morning. I wrote an email to the customer service rep and received no reply. Three days later I called the store manager and she said the problems would be fixed. She would get back to me. I did not received a phone call back from her. I again called the customer service rep and again the store manager. It has been a week now and no one will respond or talk to me.

We literally came in an hour before closing after visiting another RV place. Tim greeted us when we came in, and he was committed to finding us a 5th that we loved. He made the experience a lot of fun. When we walked in the 5th wheel we ended up purchasing, we knew it was the perfect fit for our family.

We have purchased three RVs from McGeorge over the last five years. Now that they have been bought out by Camping World and everyone is gone we are sunk. We have an issue with our RV each time we take it out. We have had in for repair after repair for two years. It takes forever for the work to be done and then it is not right. We have had to take ours back for the same issues over and over. If anyone out there knows a better company we would appreciate the help.

Worst rv buying experience ever!! The finance and sales manager were rude and not customer oriented. Bought a used rv and said they would go through it to make sure everything was in working order got the camper set up and had several different problems. I have contacted them numerous times but they will not offer to help in any way. I was told once to hire a mobile tech. I have not had the camper 3 weeks I should not have to hire a mobile tech for things they were supposed to make sure were working. They charge a $495 fee for them to do that but don't actually do it. I do not leave reviews unless I feel like it is necessary to save someone else from trouble. There are a couple ladies on the store side that go above and beyond, too bad the whole place isn't like that!!

UPDATE: It is now 4/21, and I still do not have possession of my travel trailer. I am approaching my 2nd payment with nothing to show for it. I have been promised many things, with those promises constantly broken, and communication is almost non-existent.

ORIGINAL: Bought a travel trailer on 3/2, with walkthrough and pickup on 3/12. After arriving, I was notified that my camper had been damaged while it was being moved. Remember, THEY damaged my brand new camper.

Was told repairs would be simple and quick. Two weeks at the most.

As of today, 4/9, I still have not taken delivery of my trailer. I have made my first payment and missed out on a planned camping trip. I am paying insurance and taxes on something I don t have.

Currently, my repeated emails and phone messages are being ignored. It s bordering on legal issues at this point. Remember, THEY damaged my camper before it was even delivered to me, and I still don t have it yet.

The sales aspect was fine. But of course it will be. That s where they get your money. After that, you are not important.

Take your business elsewhere.

Nice large inventory. I am in the process of buying my new RV. AS with every major purchase, you like to shop around and look at various dealerships. I was greeted at the door. I explain i just wanted to look around and not waste any salesman time. KNowing im not buying today. They graciously let me walk around looking at different campers without a salesman hovering over me. I liked that most campers are open. I seen just about every configuration I was interested in. I can now make a decision knowing I found the right camper. I will be going back in a few weeks to work out the details. I purchase 2 campers in my past. Both dealerships I used where horrible. I feel this dealership will be good.

I will advise anyone new to rv life. Its not like the auto industry. There are no lemon law protections. If your buying used, check every system before you buy.

Our salesman, Austin, hand delivered a part directly to my house that I failed to remove off my previous trailer. He also researched one issue I had with the new purchase and gave me a direct answer from the manufacturer. I am very pleased with McGeorge and I hope they continue to earn my business.

I reserve the right to edit this post and rating. One of my good friends is having some trouble with getting a major problem fixed on a new purchase. I have service in a couple weeks and will decide whether to keep my rating or lower it based on my experience.

My wife and I shopped there yesterday. We re pretty demanding customers and had a lot of questions. Our sales rep, Damon Collins, was very knowledgeable, did a great job showing us units that met our requirements, and provided excellent answers to all our questions. No doubt they have other good sales reps, but we d recommend talking to Damon if he is available. I originally had a TERRIBLE experience with the sales team, service account reps, general manager and the regional managers of McGeorge s RV. I felt like there was no hope getting help fixing issues with the brand new trailer we purchased there that had a series of issues. After several months of going back and forth, Caitlin reached out and truly saved the day. She was the only person that actually followed up repeatedly though the process and she did exactly what she said she was going to do. She had the answered or found the answers. We had been waiting on mcGeogres RV to order hardware for a table in our RV for over 2 months and within moments Caitlin was able to see that they had the parts in stock and she mailed it directly to us. It was so disheartening to know how many others could not provide even a fraction of the service she provided but she truly saved the day for us. She needs a raise and everyone there could benefit in shadowing her for some training.

Ben was great and love new camper BUT if you are trading in make sure you are prepared to make payments on both RVs. Purchased from McGeorge's with a trade in on March 5th and old loan still hasn't been paid off. Nothing like making payments on 2 RVs when you only own one. I was so excited about how well everything went until we signed. It is a shame you can't trust this business to do what they are supposed to. If you care about your credit make sure you check behind this dealership. Oh and when you don't live close good luck with getting your calls returned and yes the receptionist wants to know exactly what you are calling about. I will be calling again today. It is a shame the experience was tarnished by the financial department.

We walked into the sales room not knowing what to look at for our quest in a motor home. Chris was very patient, friendly and professional. He took all the time we needed, even on two days of rain and cold, to show us the full line of class B and A RVs. Throughout our 2 or 3 visits he never pressured us to hurry and was clear and patient with answers to our many questions. Thanks to his honesty we ended up getting a quality RV and we are very happy with the features and NO surprises. Hats off to Chris and staff of Rolling Hills RV!

When I purchased RV, everything went very well & smooth. Was going to give them a 5 star review...I ended up selling it shortly thereafter & that's when I encountered issues. I contacted the "business manager" to get refunded the 3 extended warranties I had purchased. After the initial call, she had said everything was taken care of, I would get the money in a couple months. So I waited 2 months, nothing. Contacted her again & she gives me the run around that I didn't sign papers, etc etc. disregarding the fact she had told me it was taken care of & the money was on the way. I had to fight more with getting the correct cancellation date. Finally got it taken care of, again, and wait again for the money. I got 2 checks, but was still missing one. Contacted her AGAIN & she tells me that comes from a different company & she will check status on Monday. Don't hear anything. Send her an email asking the status. Wait 10 days & still don't hear anything! Left a message & she finally responds saying they issue refunds once a month so I should see it in January. Really?? You've been dragging me around for 4 months, COMPLETELY disregarding the fact that you have failed at YOUR JOB, 3 TIMES NOW and not once apologized or went out of your way to make it right. COMPLETELY UNSAT BUSINESS MANAGER!!!!

We've been trying for a week to by a travel trailer. Can't get through to the managers in the ivory tower. How antiquated is that business model. We've been waiting for two days (money in hand) for them to give us a price most likely going anywhere but back to them. All they had to do was call. Its ashame we have the world's biggest rv. dealer here in RVA and they won't take our money... Okay I'll eat crow here. They came through after a couple of days with an exceptional deal. So we bought one from them, the next knot in my stomach is the delivery next week. I'll keep you posted.

Military veterans beware!!! 1st of all they claim to appreciate the military and have a whole wall for military and I m Active Duty Army which I did appreciate we went there on July 11 2020 to look at campers and the salesman (Rob T.) was super nice and the camper I was looking at was a 2021 Forest River Grey Wolf 26DBH and we loved it but it wasn t in the system yet so they had to figure out the price. Now at this location there is very limited signal and no WiFi which I though was awkward for an establishment of this caliber but when I was waiting 2 hours for finance I was searching for other campers with the same model with what signal I could get and found that Mcgeorges was charging me $30K plus a $1400 fee for them getting it delivered to there dealership but in Pennsylvania there was one on order at another company for $22K so I brought it up to the sales manager even showing them!! They told me pretty much it was a supply and demand thing and I could get there s now or wait till November to get the same one cheaper. When I told them for $8k cheaper I would wait 4 months they said they would give me a whole $1k off and sell it for $29K. I obviously left and did not purchase it and proud to say I bought the same trailer with the same model from another company in Pennsylvania for $20k that s $10K less and no crazy delivery fee for them receiving it from the manufacturer!!! and I m picking it up in 2 days... that s right 2 weeks later!!!. Everyone watch out when purchasing from them please... they will try and take advantage of you and make you pay way more than other company s the only reason I put a 1 star was for our salesman Rob T. for being so great!!

Purchased my first fifth wheel from McGeorges. I called in initially to inquire about a pretty rare fifth wheel on their lot and the internet team responded very quickly to confirm it was still available.

When I came in for my appointment, you can truly tell everyone there was just happy to help. Made my experience really great because when I bought my truck, it simply wasn't the same "vibe" and I was expecting the same thing... couldn't be more wrong. Will definitely be back and will refer all friends and family.

I pick it up tomorrow and I'm very excited to start my travels.

Our sales rep Cindy made us feel like family while searching the lot and getting details, she went way beyond the call of duty. There was never any pressure to buy. TERRIBLE SERVICE! They were happy to sell me the trailer, but ignore me past that. I will not buy anything from them again. The worst experience in my life talked to them about getting o motorhome had a rv went down to Mcgeorge in Ashland, Va.they called us and asked how far away we were told them they told us to unhook our trailer from my truck (thought maybe they would do that for us since we were two 66year old woman NOT) we were rushed though a few things I saw they fixed which I thought should have been fixed before never fixed a sheet of wall that was broken (didn't see it till we got home TV doesn't work in bedroom on the outside there are stickers and old glue where stickers were.Now on to the best part I asked if it was full of gas the salesman said where iam I going to get gas here I told him we were told it would be full of gas he said go to the corner you can get gas there and get back on 95 why couldn't he do that cost us $70 and never got it back .left to go home it was dark down the road my sister noticed she had nogas gage or speedmetomer we pulled over called Mcgeorge they were closed Good Sam's wouldn't help us scared to death a lone on I95 dark so we his the key and left it there for Mcgeorge to come get it and we left to go 4hours home .We called the next morning and told them to come get it and we wanted our rv back .The salesman was so so rude to me I have Never been talked to like that salesman talked to me.its been a month and we still have not received our paperwork for our tags yet.what abig fat mess this has been .Right now iam working on ways to fix this mess and it won't be a nice way of doing it .Please Please do not give this business any of your money .Thank you. We just purchased a 2018 keystone camper from here and it was a great experience! Dana Johnson was our dealer and he was awesome. He helped us get the perfect camper for us in our price range. Also he took his time to make sure we were very happy with our decision. All the staff there are excellent including David Brown who did all our paperwork. We will always come back here for all our camping needs!!

September 2017 we purchased a Rockwood Roo 19 from McGeorge's and our experience was not positive. We shared our concerns at that time and it didn't seem like they were interested in changing. After having a Roo for almost a year, we realized that we needed more room. Even though we weren t happy with McGeorge s, they had a good inventory and we really only planned to look through their website to see what unit may work for our needs. To our surprise, they are now under new management and new staffing. We were put in touch with the new sales leader who connected us with Robbie Lyons. He was a joy to work with and his product knowledge was excellent across all manufacturers. We were so happy with the changes at McGeorge s that we proceeded to purchase a new Rockwood Roo 24WS where we now have enough room for us and our grandkids.
