One of the most beautiful places in the Netherlands !

Best place for short introduction to Dutch paintings.

Beautiful museum, paintings that without being expert seemed great to me, especially The young woman of the pearl, the bull of P. Potter and those of Rembrandt

Beautiful ... Rembrandt, Rubens, Veermeer. Nothing is missing. To see if you come to The Hague

Great Dutch masters hang here and the building has been beautifully refurbished.

A very beautiful museum where you can admire VERMEER and Rembrandts as well as other Dutch painters. It's worth the detour !!

It is fun to watch a day, but not with a school excursion

So many beautiful paintings! It was the perfect rainy day activity and the connecting indoor bistro had great food, while keeping us dry to plan the rest of our day.

Beautiful artwork and plenty to look at. I'm not a big art history person and I enjoyed looking at the art in this museum. Definitely worth the visit!

An indispensable museum, both for the surroundings and for its collection!

At least a dozen of the most famous paintings in the world are not in the Rijksmuseum but here!

The building itself is impressive. In combination with the more than 800 paintings simply indescribable.

Highlight is of course the painting by Vermeer: "The girl with the pearl earring". But there are countless works of art to admire. Many famous pictures by famous painters are exhibited here, Rubens is one of them.

Admission of EUR 15.50 per person is reasonable.

There is a lot to see and children will also feel at home here.

Tip: The Wilhlem V picture gallery is also included in the entrance fee. But for this you have to leave the museum and walk about 300 m to get there.

It's worth it

Pleasantly put together, very nice staff, audioguide well on the app. However, quite clear ... And not cheap. The exhibition was closed. in no case with Louvre and Prado on a level.

Very beautiful. Piccolino, you can shoot it in just over an hour (if you don't want to get caught up in Stendhal's syndrome ...). Valuable: The Girl with a Pearl Earring and Dr. Tulp's Anatomy Lesson. Definitely worth visiting.

I was sitting in a room for an infinite time. I didn't want to leave. Nice visit without crowds of people.

I suggest to buy year pass for all museums at Netherlands, for 59 euro. It takes a week or longer to get it , by mail, at Netherlands address.

Impressive collection of Dutch Golden Age paintings. The obvious highlight is "Girl with the Pearl Earring" by Vermeer.

Royal Gallery Mauritshuis (Mauritshuis, literally the house of Moritz) - art gallery.
Right behind the Binnenhof at the palace pond is the Mauritshuis Palace. It was built in 1633 1644. Count Johann Maurits of Nassau, Governor of Brazil. The building is designed in a classic style, which emphasizes the vertical division of the facade by pilasters and a triangular pediment. The palace houses the Royal Cabinet of paintings, one of the most magnificent museums in The Hague. The restored luxurious halls create an excellent backdrop for a collection of paintings, mainly by Dutch masters of the 17th 19th centuries. The collection includes the works of Rembrandt, Jan Vermer, Rubens, Jacob van Reusdal, Brueghel and Rogier van der Weyden. The most famous pearls: Vermeer Girl with a Pearl Earring and Rembrandt Anatomy Lesson .
Admission is 14 euros.

A piece of Dutch history, every citizen in this country must have been here once.

Classical works. Nice guide who let my daughter speak for a group of visitors. Small-scale museum with almost a living room setting in which some of the most famous and valuable paintings in the world hang. No glass walls, no strings, just a very low threshold to indicate that you are not allowed to touch the paintings. Very special.

You can see famous art works including girl with pearl earrings, and the surrounding scenery is also beautiful. It is also recommended to take a walk in Binnenhof next door

Lots of famous paintings and it wasn't overly crowded. A bit on the expensive side but still good.

Very good and very small = you don't rush from painting to painting to make sure you see it all...

Wonderful museum, impressive collection, perfect welcome ... only downside but not the least, price a bit expensive because a break is necessary to resume the visit another day, but impossible! Too bad, I would like to come back but if the culture becomes elitist then everything is over ...

Must see! In addition to the much advertised famous paintings here, there are many that are just great quality historic art, maybe not well known but still very enjoyable. Gift shop was superb, got lots of souvenirs here. Layout of the museum was interesting, at the start you are below the canal level, so you are essentially underwater.

Before your visit, download the free Mauritshuis app, which includes an audio tour. The app is in Dutch, English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Russian and Portuguese. The museum has been nicely refurbished. The limited space is convenient and tastefully decorated. The building itself is beautiful and well maintained. It fits well in the courtyard. It is worth visiting the museum once. The museum has a shop and a brasserie. Take your time, access is quite pricey.
