Only about 20 pictures are deposited with audio. That's too little
you do not bother about tourists. Too bad.
Nice! Beautiful building beautiful exhibition.
Great service reception well helped.
Good attentive hospitality, service
Well worth seeing you also see courtyard and turrets court pond from other side. Famous Dutch masters and other masterpieces!
Beautiful museum, the building and the art of the old dutch masters. We also enjoyed the temporary exposition. The museum did a good job respecting the Covid19 distance requirement on a friendly way.
Museum with various works including paintings from Brazil
Very beautiful and much more than I expected. The ceiling on the 2nd floor really can not. Horrible. Does not fit at all with the collection.
Beautiful works that hang here.
Nice to have a look.
Free entrance with the VIP card of the bankgiro lottery
Compact museum with a rich collection, convenient audio guide. The best I've seen in The Hague.
Small museum, but with some pearls ... like the girl's!
Culturally heavy with knowledge and an impressive collection of paintings. I retrieved one star because there weren't attendants around to deliver artistic and cultural trivia about the paintings, so I still haven't found the second face of the lusty judge peeking on sussana taking a bath in a Rembrandt's painting. Also, the Mauritshuis app is good, but would be perfect if the audio guides were available for more paintings.
Nice building, close to the Binnenhof, with many old Dutch Masters, such as Rembrandt and Vermeer. It is not super large, but there are still around 800 works.
The history of the Mauritshuis is also interesting to learn more about.
Tip: go on a weekday, then it is not that busy.
This is one of the highlights of our trip. Located in The Hague, this house/museum has well-known and beautiful paintings, including Vermeer's Girl With A Pearl Earring. The art is displayed on several floors with everything well-lit. Non-flash photos are allowed. This is well worth the reasonable admission cost. It is a short walk from the main train station (Den Haag Centraal).
One of the best galleries I have ever seen, not to big :-)
What a privilege to be able to see this art in the flesh.
Great musuem! Be sure to download the app on your phone before your visit. You can find explanation and context for all the pieces in the app. The building of the museum was also very pretty.
It is not crowded and small enough to walk around in few hours. The pieces are absolutely stunning. There is a small shop down. The Girl with a Pearl is on the second floor.
Beautiful museum with a unique collection of paintings by Dutch 17th century Masters. Both the continuous exhibition and the architecture, among others. the modern entrance under the building itself is more than worth it.
Beautiful collection, beautiful building, nice audio tour and friendly staff.
At the time of the visit, around half past four, it was very quiet, so we were able to view all the gems well and at ease.
10 minutes alone with Vermeer, view over Delft. What a wonderful experience! All peace and quiet, no other stimuli, so that you become one with this beautiful piece. The Mauritshuis has done well!
Very poorly functioning lifts and then also immigrants who say that you are abusing the lift while you are in a wheelchair very bad experience in this museum, annoying security and staff who do not offer assistance to people with disabilities.
Excellent museum with expertly curated selection of Dutch masters. Appreciated that the museum was not too big: only two floors of works and it took a little over an hour to get through. I didn t participate in an entire one, but overhead several snippets of tours going on that were highly informational.
Really comprehensive collection of the paintings, and it is much bigger that it looks from the building. My expectations were for max 1h visit, and I spent there much more time. Logistics - tickets etc. are straightforward and easy to maneuver. Collection - I was pretty pleased and content, but of course it's a subjective matter (Fabritius's The Goldfinch stole my heart:)).
Probably the best art museum in Den Haag, housing a few Rembrandts and Vermeers, a must see if you enjoy art.
At the checkout, cloakroom and security they were really friendly people, but in the museum ship they were not so friendly and helpful. The museum is also top notch.
The entrance fee was a little pricey for a student, however it is well organised and beautifully maintained.
Great beautiful collection and fantastic building style
Beautiful building with great paintings by Hans Holbein dj, Vermeer and Rembrandt. 14 entry!
Beautiful museum with many paintings by famous masters
Rembrandt and Vermeer, what more can I say. If you love art, you won't want to miss this one
A small but very good collection in an awesome city.
Excellent collection of fine art. The Hague is an easy 50 minute train ride from Amsterdam.
Nice museum with interesting paintings. Not too big, so doable in a few hours.
Absolutely five-star museum with the works of the Old Masters! The museum is small, according to the number of masterpieces of European painting rolls over here.
With very famous paintings like "The young girl has the pearl" by Vermeer or other famous paintings like that of Rembrandt, this small museum is superb and essential. Its size is an advantage: it allows us to appreciate the works much better than if they had been in an immense museum such as the Louvre.
Pictures of high quality. New facilities and good guidance. Without agglomeration
A wonderful time exhibition Rembrandt and the Dutch Golden Age-year
Admission 15.50 euros without queue.
Pleasantly surprised by the magnificent use if color, highly recommend following the guide because the stories add so much to the experience! Also, don't assume an online photo of a painting could ever give the same impression as a real-life visit. For example: the very dark corner in the painting of David and Saul while Saul is covering one of his eyes could be interpreted in multiple ways that would still be relevant today :)
Here is a girl with a pearl earring. It is a very famous work called the Mona Lisa of Northern Europe. In fact, I look at the strange beauty.
There are many works by Vermeer and other works by Rembrandt.
I visited twice, but I want to go again.
What a beautiful museum. Just walking around the house you can already see the splendor that the VOC has brought us. The house is also called the Sugar House. Built from the money from the sugar plantation where slaves work.
The entrance is very modern, it is good that a large part has been added for the museum. At the entrance there is also a very nice store. As an art lover you can really be happy with all the beautiful things you can buy. A little further up is the restaurant. I enjoyed a delicious sandwich and good coffee. Service was friendly and quick with everything ready.
If you take the other stairs you will come to the annex. What a very modern appearance, but it is not disturbing. Here is also an exhibition space hidden! There is another room in front of the exhibition space where extra activities are organized that the Mauritshuis is organizing. The exhibition space in the annex is without windows. But with the right exposure, the objects come into their own better.
You enter the Mauritshuis via the stairs (there are also lifts available). You will find the toilets on the ground floor. After that you go up another staircase and you reach the first floor. All of them already have paintings in the hallway. Some recognizable and others less known. Mauritshuis shows a nice consideration by decorating the room in this way. Of course they are known names, but sometimes unknown paintings. Each room has its own style. It is very nice that you can walk all the way through all the rooms. It looks a bit like the style of Versailles!
When you enter the second floor, take a look above you. A beautiful modern painting can then be seen on the ceiling. On the second floor hangs the "Mona Lisa of the Low Countries" and how beautiful she is "the girl with the pearl".
The other spaces are also beautifully laid out, with some nice views over the hofvijver. You really think you are somewhere else when you walk through the museum. Pay special attention to details of fireplaces, curtains, walls and the wooden staircase. Then you see how much craftsmanship and hours have been in the house. A particularly beautiful building with a special collection that is certainly worth a visit.
Incredible collection. Don't forget to download the museum's app to make the most of the visit.
Beautiful collection. Seen on the first day of a trip to Holland, it is the perfect business card of that country's pictorial art.
Small but great collection !! Must visit! Thank you very much
Not too big museum with a beautiful collection of impressive paintings. Make sure to come again
Nice museum, but they didn't look for the Maurits booklet in Chinese. Japanese. While more and more Chinese people come to the Netherlands than the Japanese.
One of the most beautiful museums! Through the app you learn a lot from the artists and the paintings. A piece of history that you don't want to miss. For children it is not fascinating enough, I would say develop an app so that they too get interested in the paintings.
It is a small museum and today there was an exhibition of photos from various museums. The ticket price is 15,50 eur. Opening hours are till 6pm, but it could be different on case of special events, i.e. it could be closed or ot xould be open after 6pm.
Lazu afternoon cruising from painting to painting, but taking my time in front of the Girl with the Pearl Earing.
Worth the trip from Amsterdam: well organized, many famous works in addition to the unkempt Girl with a pearl earring. I was lucky enough to visit him during the period when there was also the exhibition of Rembrant.
Good without complaints. I was impressed to see the girl of the pearl earring of Vermeer directly. Because the scale was not large, I could see one by one carefully.
Very nicely finished museum. Every work that hangs here is good. Vermeer's View of Delft is fantastic!
Nice museum, good collection, but a bit overpriced at 14 .
I went on a Saturday evening in September but it wasn't so crowded. Not to mention Vermeer, there are several Rembrandt and I think that it will be enriched because I can take pictures.
My main goal for visiting The Hague, and I was not disappointed. Not only are there several outstanding oil paintings, displaying superb craftsmanship, but the house itself is a fantastic frame for the exhibition. The staff, ticket service and shop is at the professional level you would expect from an insitution like this. A must visit in The Hague.
It's a very nice museum with unique paintings and works of art. Personally, I think it's one of the best museums in The Hague. Personally, however, I would only recommend it for young people and adults, as it could get boring for children who don't like art.
An excellent to see Rembrandts and the Vameer 'Girl with the Pearl Earing' portrait
Very worthwhile. Especially now in the Rembrandt year.
Small museum but very modern and lots of interesting art works. Recommend
A well organized museum! Important works including the girl with a pearl earring. It is absolutely worthwhile for the structure as well
Amazed by the beautiful paintings! A must see for Vermeer and Rembrandt works. Also, the building itself is beautiful.
Nice museum. A timeline ran from right to left, which we found special. We were also allowed to touch things from the attendants. Nice. Nice restaurant with tasty things and friendly staff.
A fun and beautiful collection in the mauritshuis, it's worth looking at especially the girl with the pearls beautifully
Beautiful exhibition of history pieces by Jan Steen. Well worth it!
Small museum but with some masterpieces. Magnificent building.
Worth a visit for the Girl with a pearl and the Vermeer Delph View.
