The bone-in filet was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The lobster mashed and creamed spinach sides were generous as well as delicious -- and what can you say about the butter cake dessert except order it even for one small bite!

The steak here is the best anywhere in Los Angeles. The huge bowl of french fries are a must. I really enjoyed the live music / piano bar. A very nice place to spend a quiet evening. Right accross the street from the Montage. A very small paito overlooks Beverly Blvd. They had plenty of heaters out doors. Overall a great place!

Fantastic evening!! Great food selections. We had the Octopus appetizer and it was really delicious. And our main course entrees didn't disappoint. The bonus was that in the penthouse we had live music by 2 very talented ladies with all kinds of different genres!! Awesome views, service and wonderful experience!!

Delicious food with a great ambiance upstairs in the bar area where they feature live music. I prefer eating at the bar as you can enjoy the music or any games on the tv's. The bartenders are friendly and very attentive and the mixed drinks are on point. The warm butter cake was decadent!!! Definitely high on my list for a melt in your mouth ribeye.

The vibe was pretty cool at this place and the customer service was good. But $75 for a filet mignon and some potatoes? That's a bit much. The filet was good, but was definitely not worth the 50 something dollars they charged. Honestly I wouldn't have paid more than 30. All of the sides were pretty decent. But you have to pay for them separately. The twice-baked potato was pretty fantastic but again, a bit overpriced. You're smack-dab in the middle of Beverly Hills downtown so you're mainly paying for the location. One of the people I was there with got a well done steak when they ordered a medium . Then when they brought out the new steak it was medium rare. The food could have been better for what they're charging. But all in all a good experience. Just be prepared to spend some serious coin

An excellent dining experience! Went to celebrate my wife's new job and it was the perfect place for that. We ordered way too much food because everything on the menu looked so delicious! The service was top notch, very attentive and courteous. Make sure you follow the dress code. This place is classy but not stuffy.

My wife and I came here for my birthday. We had reservations at 8:30 and actually got there early, they walked us in right away no wait. The live band played great hiphop music. The waiter was very attentive and had great suggestions. My filet melted in my mouth like butter. All around great food, service and vibe.

Honestly went for my bestfriends birthday total let down. Staff excellent drinks were good food not so good! Lobster macaroni and cheese not good at all. Steak wasn't seasoned. Great place to go if you just want a change of scenery and drinks. Parking you have to valet. For me over priced bland food.

Good food, but bad service from a waiter when we first came in. He was very rude and condescending. After that, we wanted to leave, but the bar tender, Oliver and the host took excellent care of us - unexpected. And, because we informed them that thw hours were wrong on the website, they accommodated us accordingly. Thanks Oliver and hostess for saving a great night!

A pretty classy joint. It's got that sophisticated, upscale look and prices to match. The steaks and sides may be pricey, but for those special occasions, well worth it. Regardless of the cut of steak chosen, it will be perfectly aged and cooked. The lobster mashed potatoes are probably one of the best side dishes I have been blessed to consume.

Full bar, of course. Craft beer is available and based on my quick glance at the bar, a great selection of hard alcohol.

My girlfriend took me here for Veteran's Day and they led us to the elevator to take us up to the Penthouse. Had a chef's cut New York Strip for $60. Best steak I personally have had and I have traveled around a bit. Exceptional class and our waiter Billy was beyond knowledgeable.

The prices are ridiculously high. The T-bone steak was $ 109.00, I paid $419.31 for three people. The petit filet was so tough and gristly that I could not cut it with a steak knife. It was inedible so I sent it back to the kitchen. I did not reorder anything. I do not drink, and my two guests each had one drink.

Now as a repeat customer i hate to bad mouth mastros but what i will say is this specific experience was not my favorite. Ive been boasting to family about the quality of dining and all around ambience is great which prompted our visit for a bday celebration and we were all excited, well aside from the lobster my mother in law ordered not being the right kind i also got a over cooked tamahawk steak got a new steak and that one was a little undercooked so i just tuffed it out and ate that one which was still purple i ordered medium but aside from the 2 kitchen mishaps everything else was good.

Also i was told to email someone about my experience and still no result or email back, not what i would expect from mastros

My husband and I with our 6-month-old baby went to this cafeteria yesterday. We both love the place because it's great for kids as well. The table was so big, and they had also a high-chair for babies. The staves were so friendly. They made sure that we got everything that we need on our table. The food serving was fast in which we like the most. Highly recommended!

Absolutely stunning. Plates range from a low of $50 to a high of $250 on average. The food is phenomenal. The service was amazing. Some advice is to make a reservation if you want better service and short wait times. Also not a very underaged eater friendly place. All thier drinks are either alcoholic or water. Just a heads up

If you're looking for prime cuts and fantastic martinis in a boisterous yet elegant setting, Mastro's is your spot. The waiters are both helpful and friendly, answering any question that might arise and diligently keeping glasses full. The noise level can be a bit overwhelming, especially with those who have hearing aids (my father can attest). I've never experienced anything but amazing food and good times all around. Just be ready to break the bank if you're picking up the tab for a large group.

Mastro's is the place for steaks in Beverly hills. I've been there on no less than ten occassions and between the service, the cooking, the quality of the food and the overall ambiance, Mastro's is tops on all levels.

They buy only the best provisions, prepare the food the right way, but most of all, they make you feel like you're the only customer being looked after.

I had a terrible experience on March 14 th a week before Covid shut down,I
Made reservation two weeks ahead for my son 's birthday , we were a group, Our waitress Gabrielle did not know how to serve a bottle of champagne, brought us wine glasses no ice bucket and had to ask a server from table next to us to pop open the bottle, It seems like a waitress without any experience, we ended up with a cold steak and cold old frenchfries,
I made reservations two weeks ahead of time and made sure that we have a birthday cake .
She brought us a dessert menu , no mention of cake or candles and charged for it, when we paid the bill we mentioned the dissapointed and she didn't care,
I contacted management , MS Corina assured me that we will be compensated for the horrible experience, she never did.
I will never go to MATROS AGAIN.
shame over priced and bad service.

I had a very nice experience at Mastro's. Granted, the company was paying since we were celebrating the end of a long, frustrating case, so that probably added to my excitement.

In any case, the food was delicious. We started with huge seafood sampler towers that included oysters on the half shell, jumbo shrimp, crab legs, and lobster. Everything was very fresh and very tasty. I hadn't tried oysters before and I probably won't again. I'm not a fan, but my coworker friend said they were more than up to par. We also ordered escargot, another item I'd never eaten. It was buttery and garlicky and served with buttery brioche, and it was very delicious. I think the concept of escargot is odd, but the flavor is certainly not offensive in any way. One of our higher-ups said it was the second best he'd ever eaten in a restaurant, so I guess it was pretty damn good.

On to the meat! They had a special wagyu-style steak (unfortunately, I can't remember the exact details because I'd already had a few glasses of wine by the time we ordered our meals) that three of us ordered because the waitress convinced us to (and, hey, we weren't paying, so yeah). I ordered it medium rare and it was delicious! It almost melted in my mouth. Yum!

For sides, the table ordered lobster mashed potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes, sweet potato fries, shoestring potatoes, brussels sprouts with pancetta, sauteed mushrooms, and sauteed sugar snap peas. (Damn, that's a lot of potatoes!) My favorites were the mushrooms and sugar snap peas. The other stuff was good (and the brussels sprouts were almost good as the other vegetables), but I very much appreciated the deliciousness and simplicity of the mushrooms and sugar snap peas. They were both very flavorful.

That's about it. Oh, Pinot Noir! I don't normally like red wine, but what they were serving us was very tasty.

In sum, this is a great place for a special occasion or celebration of some sort. Including gratuity, our bill for a party of 10 was around $2,000.

The seafood tower was very impressive. The main courses were generally not impressive. The price was about 2x what I expected and I expected to spend a ton. Service was not so good at listening. Overall mediocre. $50 for an overcooked slab of ok meat with no sides.

Took one of my besties here for a surprise birthday dinner, and surprise! my friend Connie had already been here before, darn. The crab-stuffed mushrooms were a real treat, and chock full of crab meat. The steaks were humongous, cooked exactly medium and medium rare as requested, and quite well-seasoned, yum! Surprisingly, the Chilean sea bass was tender, buttery, and flavorful as well. Everything was a win. The only drawback were the shoestring potatoes, which didn't really have any flavor, and tasted like odd, crunchy fried sticks. We would recommend another type of potato to share if you visit. Nobody ate much of the chocolate cake except me, and it was moist, dense, and deliciously chocolatey. I'd probably would return if someone was having an event here, but there are so many steakhouses to try in L.A. that it might not be for a long while before I'm back at Mastro's.

Gorgeous seafood tower, yummy apps, perfectly cooked steaks and impressive sides.Been once craved many times to go back but very very expensive I cant afford to go back on my own dime. Would love to eat there again asap. very classy place Only drawback: too dark. I like to see my food. I need to see my food. They do give you a torchlight to see the menu and the food but who wants to be holding a torchlight while eating.

Food and service are excellent. However, this is the darkest restaurant in America. In a party of 5 thirtysomethings, none of us could read the menu without a light. The situation provided us with some comic relief, as diners busted out their cellphones at nearly every table in order to see the menu. The waiters carry flashlights. Very annoying, turn them up a bit, Tillman would not approve!

Mastro s is literally one of my favorite state houses across the US, the filet is always cooked perfectly, juicy and tender. The Mac and cheese is to die for, I could literally eat the whole share size portion by myself if I really wanted to. And the best part about mastro s besides their amazing service is they BUTTER CAKE! OMG! I can t get enough of that dessert.

Service was very good. Enjoyed the live acoustic music in the background. The prices were set well for the courses. The salads were huge and tasted fantastic. The steak was perfectly cooked as requested, much better than our last trip to BOA in Santa Monica. We had the garlic mash and the Brussels sprouts and would highly recommend both those options. All in all, well worth it.

Shrimp cocktail- biggest and juiciest shrimps I've ever had. I didn't take the horseradish seriously and I almost cried. It is sooooo spicy. Loved it.

Spicy mambo salad- this tasted just like a regular caesar salad.

Lobster mashed potato- Huge chunks of lobster in way too much mashed potato. This is like meant for 5+ people. How do they expect couples on date to finish and enjoy this $30 mashed potato?

Chef's Cut ribeye- this was big enough for the 2 of us. We actually couldn't even finish it. It was so huge and meaty I just kept chewing and eating and eventually it was just too much meat for me.

All in all it was a wonderful experience but Mastro's is definitely meant for family shared meals. I don't think it's the right place for couples to go on dates. The food portion is just so overwhelmingly large.
