Great food, ambiance and overall place. It can get a bit tight on busy nights but worth it. They also carry a great beer selection. Only down side, you can't always find a place to sit. But hey! For great ambiance and a spontaneous night out, worth the wait and great place!
The absolute best steak house in the West. Tender, juicy, flavorful and the service is to die for. Highly recommend for anyone who is a meat connoisseur.

The BEST stake I have ever had. The wait is very long that's the only con. I've went to both locations, the one in Malibu is way better than the one downtown.

I was there for a work function. Not many vegetarian options but it is a steakhouse after all. Expect Bev Hills prices. From what everyone around me said, the steak was delicious and looked pretty huge.
I am not going to talk about the decor or so much about the service since I usually go to a place for the food. Mastros serves some of the best food on the planet, and on a good night, I would rate Mastros 5 stars. On other nights, the food is similar to eating at a diner, and I would give them 1 or 2 stars at most. I am not saying it's like eating at a 1 or 2 star diner. I'm saying the food is 1 or 2 stars when compared to other high end places, and at an average $75 per stake, we must hold them to a high standard. The service is mostly good but it varies from waiter to waiter, which I get. But because the food is hit or miss depending on the night, I give Mastros 2.5 stars because of the inconsistency.

Other than getting in trouble for wearing my hat, this place is awesome! Even the guy telling me I couldn't wear it said, "I don't know why." The food is incredible and the service was spectacular! The lighting can be so dim that you have to use your phone light to read the menu, but once you get a few drinks in you, you don't really care! Ha!

I finally ate at Mastro's; a wish come true. I dined Thursday, 5/23/2019, on my b-day and it was great! The service, the food, the ambience, so glad I got to dine with them.
Yes, it was loud; live band. Service was impeccable - April was my server. The food delicious; though I did think the plates the protiens were served on we're too plain / dull; I had a Rib Eye, my dinner mate had the Chilian Sea Bass. The mashed potatoes with Lobster, so darn good. My steak cooked perfectly to medium. I thought the Sea Bass could have been cooked at least another minute. My Ceasar Salad was okay. The bday cake was excellent & that they wrote my name on the plate was such a special touch.
In summary, I loved it, & I will be back.

Mastro s is known for its elegant ambiance and that s exactly what we got. We actually dined in the Mastro Penthouse which a more laid back, private dining experience. We were seated in a corner table which was perfect for a romantic anniversary dinner.

Not a bad place but totally loaded with douchebags. I mean it looks like a scene out of Entourage. The ribeye was good but I was laughing the whole time at all of the freaking cookie-cutter idiots that exist in this town. I could not wait to get out of here.

This place will exceed your expectations. Food is great from caviar to wagyu and anything in between. The service is just as good. Not unusual to see or be sited next to celebrities. Make reservations! This is a great place for special occasions or if you're looking to impress your date!
Tried Mastro's for the first time this weekend. We had reservations, but when we arrived, our table wasn't ready and we waited 45 plus minutes before we received a table . My steak and the food was phenomenal, but the service was horrible; which is why I didn't give 5 stars. Waitstaff was a bit standoffish, which surprised me because I heard the service here was impeccable. I'm sure the establishment can be potentially great so long as it focuses more on hiring and retaining more polite and attentive waitstaff.

Steaks are soft and juicy with a balanced seasoning that doesn't overpower the meat (unlike some other establishments that go too heavy on the pepper). They do surf and turf really well too, so give that a shot.
Decor is generally good, but avoid dining upstairs if you prefer a quieter experience. Oh, and if you hate large portions, do not come here. :-)
Quality Meals and service here is super good. Very savory. I will be bringing family next time. Menu is similar to a restaurant in Jacksonville I loved.

Excellent food, excellent service and very good ambience. It is a little bit noisy in the third floor but it is completely worth it.
The only think I did not like at all is that at the entrance, I asked the hostess about our reservation and she did not gave us the table because we were only 4, the reservation was for 8 and she made us wait in the bar where it was completely crowded and there were not chairs available until the rest of the reservation came, I find it unprofessional.
The rest of the service and the waiter attitude compensate everything.

Our steak wasn't cooked right they always do a good job but this time they chard it on the grill instead of putting it in a broiler it taste better that way other than that my photo broccoli spinach corn was excellent and the service is excellent I will come back
You just have to love this place. It's fine dining at it's best. The steaks were done just right. Chet attended to us nicely and gave us an idea which steak to choose, which one is flavorful and made our night the best yet. Will definitely come back here, it's worth the long drive and traffic.
