The most amazing evening, delicious food and lobster mashed potatoes... oh my

Went here with my husband in hopes of having a nice, romantic dinner together, but instead we got something very different. These people are anti-gay! We both felt very frustrated at the experience. Shameful really. Will not be back anytime soon

it was me and my husband's six year anniversary and I treated him to mastros because I thought this was an amazing restaurant well it didn't go as planned our server was ok, the food was not that great my husband steak was undercooked when told about it they took the same steak that he bitten off and gave it back to him, they just cooked it and in my opinion that is so nasty because his saliva is on that, taking it and putting it back on to grill was so surprising to me because we all know another person's meal will be prepared on that, the experience I was looking for was not there. I'm so sorry but this is not a restaurant I would ever recommend to a enemy. The roasted chicken was not all the way cooked and my server felt like we were becoming a problem so we left.

Just amazing. It is pricey but what can you expect from one of the best steakhouses in Beverly Hills. The meat was on point, the service excellent from A to Z and the ambiance is just outstanding.

Awesome Experience! 1st time @ Mastros. Atmosphere very nice. Great little view outside but too cold. Not dressed for it! Inside all types of celebrations going on. THE FOOD.... Mmmmmm I didn't get a chance to take a photo of the food but Yummy! LOBSTER mashed potatoes. Sauteed Spinach w/garlic. My cousin had steak which was a little over cooked. My salad was over saturated with dressing (the waiter came right away and replaced it). The BUTTER CAKE taste just as good as the aroma it gave off with ice cream and whipped cream. A must have! Lastly I tasted a very expensive aged port wine that tasted like sweet Liqueur! Then I did have another drink some sugary sweet Mango concoction! Stay away from that!!! ( I did like the fact that the bartender asked if i had any allergies) [I should have stated Mango]. My overall Experience was wonderful. You also get a glimpse of celebrities too.

I got the opportunity to eat here last night for a birthday dinner. We were a little bit late to the reservation but we had called in prior to let them know and they said it s okay. Do not worry! The reservation was at 7:45 and they said we had a 15 minute grace period, perfect. We got there and waited an hour to be seated. The two ladies upfront that were doing the check in, checked us in. The one the left side of the desk told us that it was no issue and she would get us a seat right away. (She was not even looking at our faces as she was talking to us by the way, she had her face stuffed in her computer screen). Mind you it s Saturday night and it s very busy which we understand but you can t even look at us? People came flooding in and everyone was getting seated BEFORE us. We asked a couple more times on what was taking so long and they said the same exact excuse that they were waiting for some tables to clear up. We noticed we seen another group bothered because they have not been seated either. They spoke to a manager and for seated right away... we asked THREE MORE TIMES! They gave us the same excuse. Of course I was more assertive with one of the girls who was seating and I told her if she knew a time because we did not want to eat at 11pm. (It was 9:15pm at this point) and the girl next to her stepped in and snapped at me throwing it in our faces and reminded us that we were late and she was still trying to figure it out. At this point we have waited for almost 1 hour and my friends and I were ready to leave. My friend was super over it and went as far of getting his car pulled up by valet to leave and as soon as they pull up the car- the birthday girl comes out and gets us and tells us that we are ready to be seated because the girls in the front over heard us wanting to cancel. We sat down and ate. The server was great but I don t know if I would come back to Mastro s at this location. I was very disappointed in the way they treated the whole situation. You d think because you pay for quality food, you get quality service from the beginning of the experience of eating here. Boy, was a I wrong.

This is a great steakhouse if you really want to eat the right steak. The price range is a bit expensive. 5 people, 2 steaks, 3 Caesar salads, 1 mash potato, 1 each as a restaurant starter, and ice cream in the signature menu for dessert. I would like to think about $ 100 per person and go. Of course, this is also American food, so you have to take salty ones.

I experienced a horrible wait time after we had reservations. I experienced this exact situation in January, 2019, as well as this past weekend. Our entire party of 6 arrived prior to our reservation time and still had a 20 min wait. After requesting a Manager (Manny) we waited another 10-15 min before we were seated. The issue here is while we waited other parties were being seated who arrived after us. The hostess Rasheda is the worst hostess EVER and has a poor disposition. Unfortunately this hostess was there for both visits, I ll never return and will continue to share my experience ever chance I get.

I have been to this Mastro s numerous times. In fact I m sinning their to nought. Last time, it was Just AWESOME from walking in the door(which they opened for me). Had a drink at the bar while I waited for my date. It was perfectly made. At dinner upstairs on the third floor we had a awesome cozy table that we could listen to the live music and have a conversation. Our servers AMANDA and PAMELA were AAAWESOME. They had an answer for every question we had about the menu. They were attentive, funny and very helpful. We will definitely ask to be sat in their section next time. We had the filet and the NY Strip. Both were delicious but but, next time I m having the filet. It was like flavored butter. Loved it. The evening was great from start to finish

Of course great srraks, but what sets Maestros apart is the piano bar entertainment on the 2nd floor. Great music, people watching and great fun!

my favorite steak restaurant, I try all their plate and everything is simple awesome food, I really recommend the butter cake is the only desert I eat and the only one I love it

Not much of a steakhouse fan but this was a commendably campy convention for carnivores. Raucously crowded party-like atmosphere, with tangy aged steaks, the usual sides (but slightly better), and terrific, friendly service -- and I am tough on service.

quality meals and the atmosphere here is very good. Service is awesome even when they are busy. I'll return family next time. This place has a cool atmosphere. Feeling here is similar to a place in Columbus I liked.

It is not at all comfortable in these times of quarantine, eating out is not worth the price. Their cocktails are horrible, they definitely need to improve that.

This restaurant is my favored. I eat in a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I keep coming back again and again. The stuff is very professional and the cooking they place on your table is so good. I would always prefer to have a nice meal in this restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

My second time was a Horrible experience. I had my daughter Kayla make a reservation for my son Jalen 17th Birthday. The host was great, The waiter looked at us like we wasn t suppose to be there. Rushing us to order. We didn t even get a option for dessert after are meal. The waiter brought a dessert for my son s birthday as usual but didn t give us a option. To make matters worse , I did not have some of my to go boxes In my bag. Do not judge a book by it s cover, I tipped well even though my experience was horrible just to show that he reed me wrong. Food was great

Excellent Steaks perfectly cooked and beautiful tuna...

4.5 stars.not the greatest steak I've ever had (it was exceptional though) but overall the entire meal was excellent. Service was great and restaurant is very hip and classy. It is pricey but you did get what you are paying for. You may find a better steak elsewhere but it would be tough to match the entire meal from appetizers to dessert. Bar downstairs is small and quaint but the second floor bar is big and great place to get a drink with a live piano player and singer on Saturday. Highly recommended if you want a great steak/seafood dinner.

Probably one of the best steaks I ve had in America. Surprised it wasn t as crowded as I imagined. Really reasonable prices for steak of this quality. Will come again.

Their asking normal classy people to take of their fedora dress hat. I think they should tell their male employees to remove the earrings instead. Jovanny Delgado, should not be managing a high end resturant, because he does not know how to defuse a situation as small as this. Instead of apologizing for the rude unprofessional approach of the host, he escalated the situation by continue the unnecessary argument in regards to us threatening the hostess by telling her not to hover but to walk away and we will take our hats off. She also does not know how to approach a person respectfully.

The food is always well prepared and delicious, workers gives excellent service. I loved how neat it is and mood. Will come back again.

My favorite restaurant. Very classy and upscale and worth the price. I love their cocktails and rack of lamb. I go back so often.

Very nice restaurant with great ambiance. The steaks are fantastic as you would expect. The sides are just so so, focus on the steaks! We got the gnocchi and I wouldn t recommend it. The mushrooms were just average as well. The filet with truffle butter was certainly the highlight of the meal! For dessert I recommend the butter cake. Service is great as well.

Fun place with extraordinary steaks. A bit pricy but well worth it. My new favorite Beverly Hills restaurant.

Friend told me he made dinner reservations for my birthday and wouldn't tell me to where. All he said was just eat a very light lunch and be ready for a fanciful feast.

What we ordered:
Filet bone-in
Veal
Each piece is cooked to perfection and delivered in a 400 degree plate.
Lobster Mash- Generous chunks of lobster with creamy potatoes that literally melts in your mouth.
Sauteed Mushrooms- Delicious!
Dessert: They brought me a complimentary butter cake with a mix of berries. This cake was absolutely devine!

Me and my friends made a reservation for 6 at 11:00 pm got here at 10:50 and they said there was no reservation found. Super unprofessional and unorganized! Would not recommend!!

I had a very nice experience at Mastro's. Granted, the company was paying since we were celebrating the end of a long, frustrating case, so that probably added to my excitement.

In any case, the food was delicious. We started with huge seafood sampler towers that included oysters on the half shell, jumbo shrimp, crab legs, and lobster. Everything was very fresh and very tasty. I hadn't tried oysters before and I probably won't again. I'm not a fan, but my coworker friend said they were more than up to par. We also ordered escargot, another item I'd never eaten. It was buttery and garlicky and served with buttery brioche, and it was very delicious. I think the concept of escargot is odd, but the flavor is certainly not offensive in any way. One of our higher-ups said it was the second best he'd ever eaten in a restaurant, so I guess it was pretty damn good.

On to the meat! They had a special wagyu-style steak (unfortunately, I can't remember the exact details because I'd already had a few glasses of wine by the time we ordered our meals) that three of us ordered because the waitress convinced us to (and, hey, we weren't paying, so yeah). I ordered it medium rare and it was delicious! It almost melted in my mouth. Yum!

For sides, the table ordered lobster mashed potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes, sweet potato fries, shoestring potatoes, brussels sprouts with pancetta, sauteed mushrooms, and sauteed sugar snap peas. (Damn, that's a lot of potatoes!) My favorites were the mushrooms and sugar snap peas. The other stuff was good (and the brussels sprouts were almost good as the other vegetables), but I very much appreciated the deliciousness and simplicity of the mushrooms and sugar snap peas. They were both very flavorful.

That's about it. Oh, Pinot Noir! I don't normally like red wine, but what they were serving us was very tasty.

In sum, this is a great place for a special occasion or celebration of some sort. Including gratuity, our bill for a party of 10 was around $2,000.

I always enjoy going to Mastros. All the steaks are delicious and so are the non steak dishes.

The meat was cooked perfectly. We were in a private seating area but the neighbouring table was way too rowdy.

From beginning to end the Mastro's experience was Magnificent! We had the Scottish Salmon and Chilean Sea Bass and they were delectable and our sides were on par! Taking us to another level was the plainly named Chocolate Pudding Cake, anything but plain! It had an espresso filling so strong and yet smooth that I questioned if it had liqueur in it...gladly the answer was no! Surely, it was pricey, but it was worth the dining experience! Laughs on end!!! Blessed night!

You have to try their gorgonzola mac n cheese. Delicious. Food is delicious and served hot. There is a little bit of a wait once you order. Upside they are preparing it on the spot. Once place for a fancy date or to impress someone. It is dark in there, to set the ambiance I suppose.

Always superb! I took my boyfriend and his parents for their first time. Everyone is still raving about it.

Definitely a great experience overall, great service, and tasty food with overpriced dishes. I consider it over priced for the amount/quality of food not that it's not great but it's not extraordinary. We ordered a bunch of sides & different cuts of steaks. We had about 7 girls at the table popped bottles of wine and ate our hearts out. I'm not much of a steak lover & only can eat a few pieces but how am Vegan so not at all. Definitely recommend trying once for a special occasion since it's known for the reputation to be exquisite, upscale & fancy but not a favorite. Oh yeah it was extra dark in the restaurant and had to use phone flash to look at the menu and take pictures but ppl around was doing the same. I believe it was to heighten the experience of the food overall to make it darker.

Go with a group of friends so you can try all their different sides since it's heavy sides that'll make you full.

Good food, but definitely overpriced. Not sure what all the hype is about.

My boyfriend planned my birthday dinner here on a Friday evening and it was my first time. It definitely has an upscale feel with the men who look like bodyguards standing outside. They have a dress code outlined on their website that even mentions they will not let you in if you're under-dressed. He wore dress pants and a button up and I wore a dress with sandals that have a small heel. When we arrived, I noticed other people in pretty casual wear like jeans but there were other people also dressed up.



After the sashimi, we indulged in the iceberg wedge salad that was big enough to share. They gave it to us already placed on two separate plates which was appreciated as our table could only fit so many plates. The iceberg wedge was amazing and had just the right amount of everything. Sometimes the blue cheese could be overwhelming but in this case it wasn't. As for the star of the night, it was the Porterhouse steak that we shared. Our server asked if we'd like our steak sliced for us or if we wanted to cut it ourselves. We opted for the slices. We ordered our steak medium rare which came close to rare but it actually worked out perfectly with the sizzling plate they bring you that looks like it is brushed with melted butter. Oh. Em. Gee. So good. We also got the brussel sprouts with thick chopped pieces of bacon. Those were also amazing. Since it was my birthday, they brought out a complimentary slice of 5 layered chocolate cake with a side of whipped cream. Wow. Wow. Wow. Everything was perfect and the cake still tasted great two days later.

First time here and it was absolutely amazing. The food, the ambiance, the drinks, the service...all incredible. We made reservations and we were sat in a timely manner. Our server Ashley made the experience the best we could have possibly had. Will ABSOLUTELY be back. And had leftovers to take home. The portions were enough to share. Please try the lobster mashed potatoes. You'll thank me later.

We had the most amazing Easter Sunday dinner at Matro's! Our sever April was absolutely superb and from cocktails to dessert the dining experience was just exceptional!! Thank you Mastro's for making our last day visiting our daughter and her husband (who was also celebrating his 30th birthday) so, so memorable :)

Mastro's still has great food. I love the bone-in filet and of course the sea food tower. The side dishes and martinis are always a hit and it's a perfect spot for group dining. It's been a Beverly Hills mainstay for almost 20 years and I can see why.

OK, over the top. Great service and food and consistency. Always great service and food. Highly recommended.
