In ordered a shareable steak and a variety of sides. The food was good but not the best. I was hoping they would make a steak fan out of me cause I have never cared for it. 3.5 stars that I have to round up cause the quality of this place and overall experience is not a 3.

How can you not love this place. We sat upstairs in the bar with live music Monday night. Completely packed full with a couple seats left at the bar. They have mastered the clear ice for Old Fashioned cocktails and have a completely separate menu for just whiskeys from all over the world.

This is a revised review from the 5 star one posted 3 years ago. Mastro s has been excellent until Covid !!
The pickup orders of rack of lamb i ve been placing recently are no comparison to the previous indoor dining. Super tiny in size , mostly burnt.. at a higher price. Makes no sense!

A real dining experience. We eat downstares in a quiet area where 8 people could talk around a table. Gary our server was excellent and patient anticipating our needs. The food was cooked perfectly as was the service. One of the best meals we have experienced lately.

Still my favorite steakhouse in L.A. Only 3 stars this time, because we were seated in the penthouse for the first time, and it was a very different experience. It is LOUD. The ceiling is lower, the diners were loud, and the live music was really mediocre and loud. The service was SLOW and it took 4 requests of different wait staff to get Bernaise sauce. Our server seemed overwhelmed, and she never checked back with us after our food arrived. We had to request a to-go container and had to request the check after about 20 min.
We'll be back but will request main floor seating where we have never been disappointed.

Still impresses after all these years, bone-in-ribeye is my favorite plus delicious side dishes (lobster mash, cream corn). Still prefer Wolfgang's for its thick cut bacon and porterhouse.

5star

I love mastros, but this one gets only 4 stars because mastros ocean club does everything better. Even the steaks. Overall though, best steak I've had ever, in my life is their ribeye.

Steak was definitely cooked to perfection. Taste was amazing. Wasnt to impress with the sides. Mac cheese was over cooked, cream corn was bland. Although french onion soup was mighty tasty.

Atrocious. We had a reservation set up for 7:30 on a Saturday night, we arrived roughly 10 minutes early and ended up waiting for OVER an hour and a half. We never ended up dining here because if we stayed any longer, who knows how long we would have had to continue waiting just to be seated.

Hello everyone, chic, trendy restaurant, pleasant service, pro, pianist and singer very appreciable lounge atmosphere; probably the best meat in LA, the gratin Dauphinois with truffle excellent, quite generous. With my son Tom we went there sometimes during our stay in LA following the recommendations of an Armenian taxi driver, which we did not could thank, so today, thank you sir for this address. I highly recommend Le Mastro's. See you soon. Very good time.

Very rude, disrespectful and judgemental. Went in to pick up food and security almost didnt let me in because i was in a camo hoodie. And insisted if I was in the right place then addressed me to hurry up and get my food and had security stand by me while i waited for my food. The society we live in today is rediculous everyone is to judgemental and prejudice. You aint no better than me just like i aint no better than you. I feel sorry for the kids that have to grow up in this world.

I'm a big fan of good steak! I have been to well known places all throughout the West Coast and Pacific Northwest. Let me say that this place is on top of my list! I had the 22oz Bone-in Ribeye Steak with a Lobster Tail. So delicious, can't wait to go back next time I travel to LA (next month) ;)

Seems super fancy and all but as soon as you walk in, it's way too overcrowded. Just doesn't give off a professional high class vibe as much. The food is amazing but that comes with a cost. I reserved a table in the "patio" only to realize my apartment's balcony is bigger than their "luxurious patio", which by the way, was again crammed together with too many tables. Bathrooms really stood out, but honestly it seemed like they were trying too hard to make it seem fancy. I feel like it was just overall a bit too much, and not the very modern high class steakhouse you'd expect like other places.

Upscale restaurant with good steaks. There is a dress code, they will most likely not let people in with casual or sporty outfits. Place was packed and you better have reservation before going there.

They do serve some good food. I got the French onion soup as an appetizer Its pretty big for an appetizer. I like that is super salty. Some other onion soups I've had at other places lack salt. But here its perfect. The onion flavor is just right. I ordered the Ribeye with bone inside. I prefer ribeye steak over filet mignon because of flavor. The ribeye here has good flavor. I'm glad they don't put too much black pepper inside because the steak itself has good flavor from the fat. I would come here again but only on a special occasion. Its very pricey. Its worth it once in a while. When I eat steak I don't want any side dishes because is all about the steak. Cant really say anything about anything else. Overall its a good place with good food.

Been here many times and it was always a pleasant experience until my reservation yesterday..

I dined with you guys on 02/10/2020 i made a reservation like always and i got there everything was beautiful like always up until when we started ordering so i was going to order the steak which i usually order as i have dined with you guys multiple times in beverly hills or the ocean club. The waiter told me about a kobe steak that u guys have recently acquired i asked him where it is on the menu he replied with it's a special we have and never disclosed how its prepared the pricing or nothing. So we ordered it and other stuff when it came out i told him its not cut in slices and its how the original kobe beef is. He relied with it is and i asked him that it was not prepared how i asked for it or was mentioned. I went on with my dinner and left more than half of it only the piece i took when i first tasted it. Then the bill comes and it was $700 bill! Which i know the standards of mastros and there quality and I'm a fan of it but the price of the steak was not disclosed to me prior i have had the many wagyu type steaks and they go for $200 or so i felt like i was bamboozled. And ruined my whole experience really i have never had that happen to me in mastro's or have had a bad experience i wanted to reach out to you directly i think its not ethical for something not be disclosed since its off the menu.and i have been always treated with ethics and respect there and the server seemed to not care about my concerns at all. I don't believe i should have paid for a steak that was not proposed accurately and the price was not disclosed prior like everything else on the menu. And when asked all he had to say was sorry my bad ! When i asked for a manager i was told he is not available at that time i did not want to make a scene so i paid it even tho it was not disclosed consumers have the right to know pricing verbally or on the menu that is not ethical in any way.

This Beverly Hills location by far had been the worst experience. It started off with the most rude, nonchalant, non customer service experience server! The food wait time was over an hour for appetizers to arrive. After complaining they sent out a new server who was Impeccable! He had the best customer service and cater to the needs of attitude ever. He was the only reason my party remained there. I thank Jude the Server for saving a birthday experience!! Besides that I would never go back to this location!

We were in Beverly Hills for a wedding. It also happened to be our 17 year dativersary. The bride to be highly recommend Mastro's to us and Mastro's did not disappoint.

From start to finish, the service was stellar. I regret I can't remember the name of our waiter, but he was the best.

We started with Vueve Cliquot Rose champagne, crab cocktail and lobster bisque. The best ever. Our mains were the petite filet and Aspen Ridge boneless ribeye. Drool worthy. We shared the truffle butter mushrooms and ended with chocolate cake.

Perfect place for late night, or hey, it's been a rough Monday. This place will lift your spirits. We are going to Vegas soon and plan on going to Mastro's there as well.

Of note, we got a special menu commemorating our anniversary.

Pros: Good for dates, delicious steak and sides, great service and ambiance

Cons: it's a little dark, which makes it hard to read menu

Came here for our 9 year anniversary and was not disappointed. Our server Danny took really great care of us, gave us great suggestions and was super friendly. The Porterhouse steak was delicious and my wife had the Herbed chicken which was amazing. A wide selection of wines and other drinks. They surprised us with a complementary dessert which was capped off a wonderful dinner. Highly recommend coming to this restaurant!

Well managed front area on a busy Saturday night. Appreciate the dress policy. Meat is the main draw and everyone was happy. Rib eye, Filet and new york strips were awesome. Loved the cheesy potatoes au gratin and also mushrooms.
