Great golfing, good overall experience. Rooms need updating. Bring a Firestick/Chromecast. The TV is spotty at best.

Love our wimter family reunions here! 18 years mow!
The services and experiences available were very pleasurable and the overall experience was enjoyable
Mountain Villas to one floor condos, spa, restaurants, year round activities for the whole family, great cell service, close to historic sites and DC, high pressure time share sales although they deny it while they are doing it. Very nice place to visit.
The location is great, plenty of thing to do for all ages in our group.
While the scenery of the surrounding area is beautiful the resort itself is not what I expected. The resort is VERY spread out and you have to pretty much drive everywhere once you leave your room. Depending on what section of the resort you are on there is no walking to the pools because you are miles from the pool areas up steep hilly roads. We came to check in at 11am and were told that we couldn't check in until 1pm but also that the room is not guaranteed to be ready until 4pm. This didn't make me happy. Luckily our rooms were ready at 1. They have pools that you can access for free but literally every other activity they offer is a separate and sometimes expensive fee. They offer an activity card for $99 per adult and $79 per child to access a larger selection of activities that are offered on the resort otherwise you have to pay for each activity separately. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time so we could see what activities were offered but enjoyed ourselves anyway. The adults don't drink or play golf so the tours and golfcourses weren't a draw for us. If you choose not to participate in the resorts activity package there isn't anything else to do but go to the pool. We stayed in Eagle Trace and the two 1 bedroom units we had were more than adequate for the 9 of us. They were quite spacious and all 3 of the sofas were pull out beds so we had a total of 3 beds in each unit. 2 beds and one sofa bed upstairs and a one bed and 2 sofa beds downstairs. One had a full kitchen and the other had a mini kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator. All of the spaces were clean and stocked. The views were beautiful and the wild life was abundant which was nice for us city dwellers to enjoy. Although we had a good time I don't know that we would make this a regular vacation spot but again, the views in the area were totally worth the trip.
Wonderful resort, friendly staff and lots of things to do
#waterpark #accessible #weekendgetaway #cozy I absolutely love this place every one should go it is a lot of fun at a great price
There are plenty of things to do without leaving the resort. It is family friendly as well as romantic.
I went here for my 2nd wedding anniversary and let me tell you this place is gorgeous in spring! I got to ride a horse for the first time since I was 12 and that time didnt count really. My guide was awesome and my hotel was comfy and the view and pillows equally great. What a great place to stay by yourselves or with family.
If I could give negative review this would be -5. The room assigned had filthy carpet your white socks will turn black. The furniture is worn and damaged. The stove had only 2 working burners. The mattress is worn and when it was replaced by maintenance the one was almost as bad They said all the mattresses are that way.
Beware, Celiac people and people with gluten allergies do not come here. Sad you will have nothing. In addition, the staff is overworked and they seem to be under staffed. Be prepared to be patient and wait.
We stayed here for three nights. The grounds are well maintained. Love being up in the mountains and saw lots of wildlife. Stayed in Hotel 6. Nice size and up to date. We could hear our neighbors above and next to us. Went to the petting zoo. The animals are kept in filthy conditions and left there feeling sad for them. All of the activities on the resort are very pricey. Even the souvenir shops are expensive. Ate on the resort once and spent 120 dollars for 4 people to eat some of the worst food I've ever had. Went hiking on knobs trail. At one point it forked into two trails, both of which looked rarely traveled and unkempt. I would never travel here again.
To much distance between amenities. Nice hot tubs in the condo's
So many things to do, not a super far drive from NY. Loved it. Great skiing. Good food. Horseback riding, indoor water park, etc.
Lots of fun, went w/ my family a few times to go snowboarding. Tons of stuff to do, condo's are decent & in good shape.
An amazing getaway for the family. We go as per timeshare allows us. It a beautiful family resort with AMAZING views at several peaks of their property. It is an outdoor resort so be prepared to get a bit dirty!
Went for a mini getaway with my partner because he won a promotional stay. The timeshare salesmen (two in particular that we dealt with) were not only aggressive, but extremely disrespectful and condescending even the management team were terrible and got angry we gave them a firm no to signing up. Zero customer service skills and the attitude they gave us made me question how they re even in business. Being angry and defensive towards potential customers says a lot about their business approach and sales tactic. I DO NOT and would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.
The entire establishment looks like it hasn t moved on from the 70s and I half expected to run into the Brady family from that era s sitcom. Everything about this place was underwhelming, not to mention dirty. The supposedly clean towel in the bathroom already had long hair on it and there were flies in our room (and flies in every building there).
The rude, smarmy, arrogant, patronizing, and insulting timeshare salesmen makes it all too easy to say NO to ever coming back.
Stayed in the hotel portion. For the money it wasn't bad. We stayed 3 nights. 2 of the 3 nights our a.c. cut off in the middle of the night. It was clean but one day we came back to a half made bed. The comforter was pulled up over crumpled sheets. Hard to navigate resort at night if you are unfamiliar with the location of things. Good place to rest your head.
The place is great!!!! Has a lot of amenities (you have to pay a fee for most of them) but it's clean, organize and a lot of entertainment. Great for family trips.
just got to go and experience it all for yourself. water park, golf driving range, horse back riding, zip line for everyone. yeah you gotta just go there!
Great place with a lot to do...if you plan ahead. Unfortunately, my husband and I were too busy with the wedding to realize this. About 70% of the activities have to be booked in advance, and many are open at weird times. Their schedule is color-coded and very confusing...especially if you're color-blind like my husband. Also their maps and signs were atrocious. Not all the roads were listed on the maps, signs weren't clear, etc. However, we were able to get to the mini-golf course, which was beautiful. The spa was also AMAZING and did wonders for our back. Would definitely go back again, but would make sure to plan better.
Giant resort. But almost everything to do there was an up charge. We stayed for a week and went hiking in the nearby national park. Bear fence trail was awesome.
All sort of things to do here no matter the season.
Minus the waterpark, everything was beautiful. The escape room was stressfully awesome. My teen enjoyed the pool party ( which helped her come out of her shell) The scenery was relaxing. The trails were amazing. My shy little one enjoyed zumba and meeting new friends. We had an amazing time. I would love to come back during the snow season.
Beautiful resort but check in is horrible. Have to fight to get the accommodation you requested. Check in at 6 PM instead of 4 like everywhere else. Staff acts like it is everyone else's fault. It was a 2 hour process to get what we paid for.
They charge handicapped. I can't
Swim I just set and wait they should not be charging for that.
We stayed at the Eagle Trace and had mice and told multiple workers and nothing was done about it. It got into our food and we had to throw a lot of it away. The activities are expensive to do here and some of them definitely not worth the money!!!
Great vacation spot no matter what time if the year. There are always activities & classes available. Plus plenty to choose from In accommodations. Indoor pool is fantastic
1. The condos smell like something died and then someone sprayed low grade air freshener to cover it up.
2. 40% of the arcade games are broken
3. The petting zoo was closed when it was supposed to be open and we were told we should have called ahead. Then had to explain to 2 toddlers why we had to leave.
4. We booked three nights and were told we couldn t retroactively change our reservation to receive 2 free spa services with a 2 night stay.
5. The le club is a le dump. Everything is dated and the locker rooms are filthy.
This place sucks.
We stayed at The Aviary. Beautiful home, great accomodations.
Don't like this additional free at check in RCI for members,
BUT NICE PROPERTY AT WOODSTONE
Thoroughly enjoying ourselves. Great memories and experiences
Always love it here. Every season there is so much to do!
Overall was very nice. Lots of super amenities. Checkin was terrible. Waited 1.7 hours for our unit to be ready.
So much to do and see. But also a great place to chill.
Overall it was a good experience. It was the first time I have been on the slopes in over 15 years and my daughters first time. Beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
I liked the hotel room because it was cozy and quaint. I do wish the rooms had hand soap. We went snow tubing, and I had a ton of fun. There also is an area to go skiing and snowboarding. You may want to use the lift to get to the area to ski and snowboard. They have a indoor and outdoor water park, the indoor is open all year. There's also a zip lining and climbing area. Everything you can do practically costs money. I had a lot of fun though and I hope you do too.
This is a great resort. This was my family 2nd time here and will return again. Great spaces to stay and many places to eat within the resort. So many activities, that my family stayed off their electronics. The water park was closed during our stay but we got to experience it before and it was great.
I'm not sure how I feel about the resort after a horrible check-in experience I had with one of the rudest front desk person I've ever experienced in my 5 years visiting the resort.
Ok accomodations staff not do great. Customer service is hard to get a hold of, once you're staying on property so you are past sales staff...
Massanutten resort is an amazing place. My wife and I are owners!! It was so wonderful this time we went, we stayed at woodstone condos. The room had so much space, hot tub in the bedroom, full kitchen, 2 tvs, and a living room and dining room. Nice!! So we also brought groceries on the way down so that helped save money! That took care of breakfast and snacks and lunch. Then we have dinner at the Restaurants at massanutten! Campfire grill was amazing! And my favorite is the virgina bbq!!!! My wife and I loveeee bbq! Our favorite though was the bbq Explosion pizza! Packed with bbq, brisket, and smoked sausage! Yummm. But they have everything from breakfast to lunch and dinner! Love that peach bourbon sauce, the mac n cheese, yams. Delicious! Please don't miss out!!! Also there are so many activities, we went tubing down the slopes! They make there own snow! So cool. They have sking, many pools, a water park! Arcade game room, and other things to do like play golf! Or do nothing but relax and unwind in your place and enjoy disconnecting from the world! Lol. It has all that you need more!!!
We have been attending Massanutten resorts for years around the Christmas time. This year we were very disappointed in the condition of there Woodstone resorts, they are in poor condition. Furniture is dirty and beat up, washer & dryer not working, cabinets dirty. Housekeeping is not cleaning very well either. We wont be returning for a while.
Wonderful place to visit with exquisite views. Beautiful with lots of family oriented activities to purchase, although expensive
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! WAY TOO MUCH TO DESCRIBE, BUT DEFINITELY WORTH THE TRIP AND THE MONEY!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
We loved our stay! So beautiful! Everything was a little pricy but worth it! We will definitely go back!!
A good place to go if want a mountain experience and skiing and in door pool.
We are staying at Regal Vistas at the Massanutten properties. The units are very nice well equipped and have great views. Each of them have a one-car garage that makes it easy 2 unload and load your car out of inclement weather. The property is just before you get to the check in for all of Massanutten properties.
Plenty to do here. Some is spendy but you can do the free stuff and pick a favorite to put your money on.
Loved it. Bingo was a fun activity to do on a rainy day
Our room was clean had pretty much all essentials. Overall pleased but the rates of activities were unfortunately on the pricey side.
Lost its luster about 25 years ago. In major need of an overhaul! Wow! Save your cash!!! Whoof!
It was ok. Ain't have no chance to really explore it cause they had a Damn gun down my throat to get me to buy share. Salesmen is hungry here . Thery need a better approach but other then that it was ok.
The rooms are a great size. The kitchen is nice, but does not have an oven or stove. It has a cooking top that works well. Our griddle only worked part of the time. It stinks that everything on the resort costs. There is plenty of food around. The hiking trials are decent, but they are not marked very well. We had a medical emergency while there and they staff was wonderful. Security showed up to help before the ambulance and they offered us a ride back from the hospital if needed.
The customer service that I just encountered with Darlene, in reservstion over the phone was very poor and unacceptable . I love coming to the resort however, when dealing with the public I shouldn't have to remind an employee at Massanutten Resort
I'm the customer, not to interrupt me while I'm talking, automatically assume what I want - without me saying when asking for the name of her manager and speaking to me
with a slight attitude in her tone . If I have questions you should be able to answer them without making me feel I'm bothering you, at work.
I was not expecting the accommodations to be so plush. There were technical difficulties when i checked in, but it didn t really matter. We still had a lovely stay. We had a two bedroom at wood stone villas. I ll go back. Kids enjoyed swimming and go carts. Quick drive to Luray caverns. Nice
One of my most favorite on top places to go ever! Close by and seems a breeze to zip right up 81 to get there. Snow tubing is by far the best experience. Its always fast , employees are helpful and fun . We will always go back to the Nutten !
Our room was great and view was incredible. Don't google any times for activities or hours because they only update the massanutten recovery website but they don't tell you this when you arrive. Even if places say open it does not mean everything is open. Every department blames the other departments for misinformation. Time share managers are extremely rude, deceptive, and get really upset if you say no. The bright side was they gave us $200 to spend at the resort after we did the presentation but the problem was nothing was open. Extremely disappointed. Would have been fine if I was there to just enjoy the room and view by myself or with my wife but definitely not worth bringing kids.
We stayed as guests of an owner. They did bug us with several phone calls and pitches. No thank you. We had everything we needed in the condo and it was a lot of fun, just pretty expensive for a family of 4. The only thing the resort passes got us was the pool and it was only open until 8 pm. I would think they would be good for some discounts to the adventure park or water park but doesn't seem like it. All in all really fun and I would rent out a place there again but definitely not through sales pitches or timeshare avenue.
Beautiful place to stay in VA. Awesome all seasons resort with plenty amenities for children. The regal vista is best place to stay. Other rooms are average
A lot of fun for the family in all seasons. Housing could use a few updates but are still good accommodations.
Everyone was very nice and it was very fun with family. My younger brother and i took a friend to go on the waterslides. We loved it!!
We were shown 1 unit sold another. Was promised to help make it right 3 weeks still all promises .Nothing done
Poor
Service. Was disappoint at the end. Didn't buy anything one man gets upset. Not a good time for us there..
Great family fun. Would definitely like to come back, and will. I recommend to everyone anytime of the year.
There are no words to describe the beauty, the wildlife! There is so much to do. The mountain Air is exquisite.
