We have owned a timeshare since 2000 and always find lots to do. This year we did more on the mountain than usual and brought my parents. We enjoyed the summer tubing, zipline, canopy tour, rock wall, chairlift ride, bungee dome jumping, gokarts, ,and waterpark. The only disappointment was not getting into the Tuesday evening show. These shows are general admission with no reservations and limited capacity of 275. They need to build a venue for shows with not only a bigger capacity, but with a layout conducive to viewing and seating rather than use chairs in a ski lodge. We did see the Wednesday evening show and it was very good. My parents also liked the cell phone photography class. We save a lot of money making our own meals.

My wife and I had a great time at Massanutten overall. The slopes we're pretty good considering there wasn't any fresh snow when we went. Our trip was relaxing and fun. Make sure you get your rentals early as they ran out of rental skis and we lost about an hour and a half of slope time.

Do NOT buy a timeshare with this resort. They have been unprofessional and everything that was explained to me when I signed up has been untrue to date. I'm receiving excessive fees in the mail for things. The sales department isn't open on Thurs/Fri. How are you a sales department, but closed two days out of a 5 day business week? I'm utterly disgusted and will be trying my best to get out of this with them.

The attractions they offered weren't staffed for you to enjoy them (rock climbing, bungy, etc.). Granted we are there in the off season (May), more activities should be available outdoors. The rooms could use an update for a modern feel, and the activities could be tailored to different age groups. It didn't seem to cater to middle age adults at all. Everything was tailored to seniors. Spice up the diversity and inclusion, or we will revisit once it's been taken over by a larger company who understands the importance of this. This resort gives the vibe of old and run down. Camping without being outdoors, with the luxury of an indoor toilet.

This place is awesome. They have an indoor waterpark. Plenty of pools, 3 or 4 arcades. The overlook was very beautiful. The rooms were very nice. The condos were a whole lot better. Reasonable pricing. Tubing in the summer and skiing in the winter. Hiking, billiards, indoor and outdoor basketball courts. The wildlife is amazing. Deer walked right up to us while we were in the patio. I'd definitely recommend this place for a vacation or just to get away.

I ve been here with my parents multiple times over the last 8 years and this is the second year in a row where a family member has had bed bugs. It s ridiculous and disgusting. I will not be returning for the next family vacation unless noticeable changes are made.

We love going to Massanutten. We typically go there during the winter for a Christmas break vacation. Unfortunately this past time there wasn't as much snow but that was due to the weather being pretty abnormal this year. They make snow when the weather allows so we were still able to have tons of fun snow tubing and snowboarding. My kids took the beginner lesson for snowboarding and they loved it (followed up with 6 hours of shredding the slopes lol). The snow tubing was a blast as always. We decided to check out the uncorked art class (very fun) and even made soaps one day at the art class in the rec center. The indoor swimming pool is very nice to relax at after a fun day and they even have an outdoor hot tub. For a winter getaway Massanutten is wonderful :)

Lovely quiet place. Many things to occupy your time if you desire to be active or a very tranquil and naturally beautiful place if you desire to just be. Well maintained and the starter kit is much appreciated.

My family and I stayed in one of the large family ...

My family and I stayed in one of the large family 2 bedroom suites and were appalled by the conditions of the suite. There was water leaking from the bathroom sink with black mold on wall and floors. The suite had a strange burned wire or metallic odor. One bedroom had twin beds and the bed I slept on smelled of urine as did a few spots on the carpet. The carpets were old frayed with multiple stains. After looking at the ceiling fan we decided not to turn it on because it was caked in dust and oily materials. The gas fireplace made a high pitched noise and popping sounds so we did not use it. The porch had a few yellow jacket nests so we were unable to grill or enjoy outside of the suite. We mentioned issues to the front desk and were provided cleaning supplies to clean the suite ourselves and given "clean" linens, which I could not believe! Also we booked through RCI timeshare company who along with the resort mixed up our booking dates. Needless to say that we ended up leaving during the second week of our 3 week trip to visit my niece who just had her first child. Overall it was a very disappointing trio, aside from the new baby of course. I do not recommend this resort to anyone unless you are one of the thousands of wealthy golf playing people who through several conversations enjoyed a much better experience. Will never return and have told all friends and family many of whom love golf to stay clear of this train wreck. Oh, and I have to mention that the staff in the front desk reception area were quite rude, with the exception of one kind older gentlemen. This snotty female staffers were more concerned with their hair and nails than helping lowly guests. They were not very accommodating and the first day in two Latino men came into our room, knocking once then let themselves in to our surprise. They appeared to be caring the suite and looking around to "check on something" which was odd since we hadn't made any complaints yet. It was very odd. Just avoid this place. The bbq was awful, and I as a former cook could tell the food was days old. Just don't, save your money and find a better option.

Spent 4 days and 3 nights there in late December. It was free stay. I had to take minimum 90 mins time share tour though. This place has almost everything. Snow sports, two 18 holes, water park, and etc. My family used ski slopes adn water park. The ski was kind of small and too many people. The water park is indoor but was not warm enough. I worried about my kids getting sick. I almost bought time share but did not. I rated the hotel 2 star though - it is old builds, but it was free anyway.

If I were able to give this place half a star, I w...

If I were able to give this place half a star, I would. My boyfriend and I decided to do a weekend getaway at Massanutten. Both he and I on two separate occasions stayed here about 15 or so years ago. We both with our families did not have the greatest or most memorable experience. We decided to both give it a try once again. We figured, enough time has gone by, something was bound to change. Unfortunately we were wrong. It started at check-in, when were to get our keys to our condo. Once checked in, they sent us to another desk to get a "parking pass" (which was they same type of paper given to us when we checked in). Just a ploy to get us to sign up for the sales tour. Massanutten is a time share resort, so if you are not part of their timeshare, they push you to take the "two hour tour". I told the women I was not interested. I insisted the last time I took a tour like this, at this very same resort, that I had a horrible experience, the staff was rude when my family declined, almost to a point of hostile. I specifically told her we were not interested in purchasing a timeshare. She insisted the staff has changed and it would be a much better experience. She told us there was a cash incentive to go, I still told her I was not interested. After a few back and forth, I told her I would take the tour, but know that I am not purchasing a timeshare what so ever. She was fine with that. - That was just the first half hour of arriving to the resort. My boyfriend and I decided to then grab a bite to eat and drive around before heading into the room. Come 9pm we finally made it into our room. He decides to take a shower. Surprise Surprise the shower is not working. We call the front desk, they say their maintenance team is no longer there. They don't offer us to switch rooms, they just said someone will take a look at it first thing tomorrow morning. Fine. We make our way to bed, and sure enough the a/c does not get past 70 degrees. My boyfriend gets hot when he sleeps, even with no blanket. He was sweating all night, and the best part is, he could not even take a shower in the morning. We make our way to the morning presentation of our tour around 8am. Before we start, I head to the front desk and ask them when the maintenance team will be able to see our room about the shower situation. Sure enough, no body knows what I am talking about, and nothing was notated on our account. They told us they would give us a $50 credit for the inconvenience. Sure. (Oh by the way, we still haven't seen that $50 and "nobody can do anything about it." ) They reassured us during our presentation, they would get someone out there. Our presentation should have only taken two hours....well three and a half hours later after multiple firm "no's" that we are not financially in the position to buy a timeshare the manager pretty much asked us how we're even able to afford the weekend getaway in the first place? .Are you kidding me?!? Once we were finally done. I head back up to the front desk to see what the status of the shower is, yup still nothing. So three times now, new person, nothing stated on my account that the shower is broken, still no one knows what is going on. This time, the person insisted someone will be at our place right away. We decided in the mean time, we will go to the fall festival going on. We spent a few hours there to give it some time. Once again, after many hours, we head back to our room. First thing we check....the shower. And to our surprise. Nothing. Nothing has been done to be fixed. I finally had to get irate on the phone for someone to finally come out to our room. It was not 430p on the second day we have been there and the a/c can't be lowered, and our shower was yet to be fixed. After all that, we were finally relieved when it was fixed. I go to check my bank account, and instead of being credited the $50 they promised, I see a pending charge of $120. Then that becomes a whole issue in itself. No manager apology. Nothing. Needless to say, I will NEVER come back to this place.

We have been owners for years. We originally purchased there because it was quiet and fairly secluded. They have built it up way too much for our liking. It is a very family oriented place and GREAT for children...we don't have children...lol.

Let's see how long this line takes, just to get our room. So far not impressed. Per other guests plan on standing in line for 1 to 2 hours, if you try to register close to 5pm.
We finally got in our nice room, no stove but nice. We had asked for our rooms to be together but we have screaming kids next door. We had called in advance to make sure they would be together, the front desk even said they were but they are on separate sides of the building. I guess the front desk can't tell what rooms are next to each other.

Ovw 9000 acres of family fun only drawback was the 3hour presentation that was only was supposed to take two the moment I checked in I was bombarded with timeshare offers and booked for the presentation was shown the grounds by a young asian girl who couldn't stop telling me about her family I guess that was her pitch but she was like a robot programmed to tell me her life story highlighting vacations she enjoyed but yea once we got back was attacked by forceful sales tactic I was told and knew I was in no way obligated to buy join or sign anything seeing as I used to sell timeshares for world mark by windham the final deal sounded attractive but for 97 dollars a month to enjoy one weekend a year dodnt seem feasible.

I am an OWNER at Massanutten Resort, Massanutten, VA and I am totally delighted to be an owner. IT IS A TIME SHARE. It also has hotels that can be rented along with some units. If you are looking for a place to relax, let your hair down, and have a sense of returning to nature, Massanutten Resort is the place.

I read through a few of the very negative comments about the Massanutten sales representatives, and I have not met with all of them, but with at least eight or more, and they have never been a more professional group of men and women. Do they push hard to get you to buy into the Massanutten Resort, yes, and so do every car sales representative that I have ever met.

My family and I look forward to our weeks at Massanutten. It is the perfect get away, and when money is low and a vacation is needed, it is a two-hour drive from our busy hectic city life.

I highly recommend Massanutten Resort and its accommodations. My grandchildren want to live there!

Amazing resort. Relaxing and quiet. I have been to disney and other places but this one is a must return kind of resort. Highly recommended. But remember they do timeshares so careful with the people with the blue shirt they are trained to sell them. Remember nothing is free, avoid them or just tell them no thanks.

They offer a variety of activities. Including horseback riding, water park, craft making opportunity, mini golf. Go carts, Olympic pool and golfing, skiing. The townhomes were not maintained as they should be. Our kitchen cabinet shelf fell. The A/C didn't work initially. They quickly resolved all problems. We would return.

Four season resort with golf, pools (indoor and outdoor), skiing, restaurants, shops, hiking, fishing and lots of activities. There is also a water park that's open year round and climate controlled. There are two rec centers and several arcades on the resort as well. Far too many things to list in the activities department! There are four hotels and three sets of condos as well as many, many timeshare units. Easily accessible from DC/Baltimore area. Just a short drive from interstate 81.
