I would highly avoid going to this place for skiing or snow boarding. I wish i was making this up, but they had no bunny hill for anyone to learn on. They had a small section wall d off, that was only for the instructors use. But there was no other bunny hill. Not to mention only 2 trails being open. The place is absolutely horrendous. The one thing i will say that was 5 stars. Is their employees. Kindest people I ve met on a mountain. But there is no excuse to not have a bunny hill for learning. We had a total of 5 people. Me being the only one who has been going for years. The other 4 paid for an 8 hour pass, and left 3 hours into it because they could not practice anything.

We had an interesting experience while staying at Massanutten resort in VA. The parking spaces are so tight our truck was hit by someone else and left a dent in a new 2020 truck. My suggestion do not take a nice car or truck to Massanutten until they resolve the parking space issue.

Also, the resort was only partially open they are advertising everything is open but only on Friday to Sunday. During the week there are limited activities. Ask before booking when and what is open while you stay at Massanutten.

The restaurants are closed. Be sure to plan to eat outside of the resort.

The spa is open but you ll need to book in advance by at least two weeks.

Water park and fun activities are only open Friday to Sunday.

I never and ever recommend this place not only for the family with the kids, but also who hates "nasty" condo(mouse, hairs, crumbs, etc). The first time my family and I visit the water park, the hot water didn't came out from the shower and there were bunch of hairs under the blanket. After two years, we came here for the snow tubing and snow boarding. When we first got to the condo-Eagle Trace, the blankets were all over the floor and room wasn't cleaned. We call the front desk and they tell us to wait. It took them 40 minutes to get to the eagle trace and open us the other room. We tried to extend the queen size sofa to bed, but there was bunch of nasty crumbs and hairs under the cushions(it saids its 6 people maximum because they count the queen size sofa. Well we couldn't use it. It was 4 people maximum). Lastly the biggest reason i decided to write this review- We found the mouse running over the living room. It was two in the morning when we saw the mouse passing, hiding under the sofa. We called front desk and the only thing they can do was changing the room, two in the morning. We had to change the room when we fist got here because the room wasn't ready; blankets all over the floor, now they want us to change the room because there's a mouse in the room and can't do anything about it. Nasty, nasty condo ever. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND RUIN YOUR HOLIDAY.

Ton of fun this time of year! Most major activities are operating at limited capacity (such as the slopes, tubing, skating, etc.) or closed entirely, but the ones that are open were very enjoyable nonetheless.

No stars for this place!! I had to put one just to post this. Very bad review!!! This is the worst resort that anybody could stay at. All they won't is your money. We are a time share owner. Our week vacation was this week. When we checked in we were told that they wanted our opinions on the resort. They said that if we went on a two hour tour and gave our opinions that we would receive a free breakfast for us and our guest, and discounts on the activities in the resort. Well that so called two hours turned into three and a half hours, and then they try to sell us a time share. WE ALREADY HAVE A TIME SHARE!! I told Morgan which is the girl that had us trapped the whole time that we were not interested in buying anything we just were here to give our opinions. She didn't listen. We just decided to finish the tour so that we would not be charged $200. WE left our car at the water park and road with Morgan. When we got back to the conference building she left us with another guy that tried and tried to sell us a time share. We told him NO multiple times. They kept trying to make deals with us every time we would say NO they kept coming back with a smaller amount. I did not care what the amount was I was not interested in another time share I don't want the one I have now. Anyways when everything was done we asked Morgan to take us back to our car which was at the water park. She said NO that she was not allowed to. WHAT your telling me that we have been ridding around with you for three and a half hours and you can not take us to our car which is three mile away. Not a easy three miles either we are in the mountains. No one at the conference building wanted to help us they told us that we would have to call security guard, but there was know telling when they would get there. I was so mad I just cried and cried. Me and my husband decided to start walking. On the way we were able to stop a security guard to take us to our car. He explained that this should have never happened. WE did write a statement that he is going to turn over. I can't not believe this place. Do not go here they will trap you and take all of your money. They do not care about the people at all. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICES. We will never be coming back. BY the way there was also bugs found in our bed.

A very good place for a family vacation. We went there as part of a promotional offer as part of solicitation for their timeshare. I had already read a lot of negative reviews about this before I went there, and had planned my trip in a way to accommodate the 3 hour tour (even thought they say it would take 90 minutes). We reception and the checkin were easy, and we were told that our tour will be at 8 am on Sunday morning and offered a continental breakfast. I had thought we had a choice of time, but there was not. We were on time for the tour luckily, and was surprised to see that the whole setup looked like a recruiting camp. We were expecting something casual. Do not expect much for the breakfast. Its regular, coffee , juice, bread and pastries. Then they talk you through the details of the place, sales stuff and take for the tour on their vehicle. After 3 hours, we came back and the real fun began. Them trying to buy us in to a contract and we telling them we can not do it in a day, and we will have to think about this. We passed through 2 more representatives who tried to convince that we were fools not to buy their timeshare and each of them gave harder time. There were some very racial comments which the sales person said out of frustration. But we ignored it. Finally we were sent to a counter where a very nice lady handed us a gift card for going through this torture.

Apart from this, We spend rest of our time fishing, trekking, zip lining, tubing and in the water park. This place has fantastic views and great facilities. So if you do not go through the tour, you will have a great time. But like us, if you opt for the tour expect some really difficult situations. They will treat you like you are the worst human being on earth.

I have been an owner here for many years. I have never stayed in any of the actual time share units, but have done a few weekend stays in the Hotel. The Hotel accomodations totally SUCK. I have mentioned this to any one at the resort that will listen. Every thing else about the resort is great. When they bring people down for the weekend visits and TimeShare Shpeal, the stay in the Hotel is a definate downer. It seems that if they want peple to buy, put them in a time share unit. I know, they are in use,,,, but I'll bet that if they were smart, they could work it out so you could stay there rather than the falling apart, noisey, dirty, cheap, trailer park, wait less than trailer park units.

Great resort. The views are fantastic from the villas. Kind staff.
The restaurant all the way at the back by the ski lift was great. Met some nice people visiting like us. Had drinks by a fire pit and an overall great evening.

Let me start by saying that there are two parts to...

Let me start by saying that there are two parts to this review - because there are really two different things to review.

We booked the place we stayed at directly online. The 1BR condo we stayed at was dated, but very clean and with comfy beds. The shower was also just about OK (low pressure, and took a loooooong time to heat up - but decent once you found the right setting). The view of the mountain from the balcony was amazing! The location is ideal for Shenandoah National Park and there is extra hiking on the resort. We ate at Campfire Grill twice and were pretty happy about the food and atmosphere (minus a plate arriving cold - although this was quickly fixed, and a waitress the second night that clearly didn't want to be here!). With the deers roaming freely around, this is a pretty peaceful place to stay especially in the off season!

Here the good things stop.

When we checked in, we were told to grab our parking pass from another desk. We were asked if we were interested in a tour of the resort as we had never been here. We realized it was probably a sales something when they asked to charge us 50$ as a collateral, and would give us 200$ if we did the tour. However, at no point was the fact that this was going to be a sales pitch for timeshare mentioned by the parking pass person. We showed up the next day at 8:30 (after they called to make sure we would show up). A salesman was assigned to us at check in, and we were hushered in large room where a lot of people were going through the same experience. There was "breakfast" (bagels, dry donuts, orange juice... And terrible coffee!). Our sales person was really nice, and we made it clear early on that we were not interested in the timeshare thing at all. He had to go through the whole pitch anyway (I don't blame him.. It's his job!). The tour was interesting as a new person to see what is available at the resort. But then we went back to the first room, and the actual sales part started. We turned down the first two offers quickly and politely (both over 30k). Then the "manager" came to talk to us. His offer was down to 10k, but the guy himself was extremely rude, loud and aggressive. He literally suggested we were stupid for not taking his offer. We stuck to our guns and refused to give in to his aggressive and, quite frankly, offensive behavior. We were then told to go see the last person, who was supposed to give you a short survey... And sweet talk you into the last, low, offer (about 4000$ in our case). We turned it down too, and the guy then went borderline sexual harassment on us. He suggested that if I didn't pay the 4k to take my partner on vacation, somebody else would because she's pretty. Then condescendingly stated that she'd send me postcards. We laughed it off, but in hindsight, this is the thing that stuck in my head the most. This behavior is unprofessional and intolerable in this day and age. We did get the reward after about 2 hours though (although I suspect it could be longer if you're not firm).

TL;DR: The resort is old but clean. Turn down the tour and enjoy the mountain! But if you want the reward, be prepared for rude, aggressive, and condescending behaviour. If you want to buy a timeshare, wait for the third person at least!

The rooms are lovely, the resort offers a large amount of activities. The staff is helpful. I brought my teen kids and we had a great time. The sales pitch took 4 hours, and we said no in the end, but the resort is still amazing.

I definitely do not recommend there were SO MANY ANTS. On the kitchen table, In the bed, and on the floor & The downstairs in our condo was infested with them. Everything seems outdated and the beds are stiff/uncomfortable. Staff are rude and there isn t much to do. Doesn t deserve any stars. Spend your money somewhere else!

Not too bad if you are a skier. For the most part everythin to do costs extra and the cost is more than i would pay anywhere else. Case in point pulled pork sandwich at the on site BBQ was 9 bucks.

"Won" a free stay but we had to sit for 4 hours of someone trying to sell a time share. The room they showed was nice.. By the end of the meeting they came down alot on the price of the time share which makes me wonder how much it really is... They have a crap load of things to do if you stay. Really something for everyone. Not sure about the "real" rooms... But we will see when we go back for our free stay.

Very fun resort! Mountain didn't have many runs though but they maintain it as well as they can. I learned to ski in Colorado and as far as east coast skiing goes this is a fine little resort. Great spa too. Tickets are pricy. You will probably only need a 4 hour ticket.

We stayed at a one bedroom efficiency in Eagle Trace. The kitchen was well stocked and we had all the basic necessities we needed. The TV's were absolutely awful... very small with not so great picture. The property itself was really run down. It could be a wonderful place but it's in desperate need of updates! Campfire Grill is right down the street though and it was wonderful!
