who is training these people? Seriously!!!! They tried enrolling my family in a premium plan for $400 a month!! when we never had to pay monthly bills. The representative told me I wasn't covered by my primary insurance because I turned 21 which meant that I had to be enrolled in my parents premium plan which brought the monthly price to that. LIES. I contacted my primary insurance just to make sure I wasn't being covered like the lady said, and they told me I still had coverage. That's a huge fault!! saying things like that without having any proof.
Which means the lady that "helped us" was just trying to get us to enroll on that plan based on lies??

My advise is that before you enroll here, think twice, there's more and better options.

On 8/20 i try to make a payment and my profile say...

On 8/20 i try to make a payment and my profile says 0.00$ owed.. I know that I have yet to pay for August so i call. I tell them that my profile says I owe 0.00, but I know that I have not paid. I ask them to please put a note in my call log noting that I called and tried to make a payment and that the system is saying that I don't owe. September due date arrives and sure enough my bill is doubled... I call again. I let them know how I had called and tried to make a payment and the system said I didn't owe. Of course i get the " we are sorry you were misinformed, but we can't do anything about it". I let them know that "I cant pay that full amount now, but can i pay it down piece by piece". I am told that I CAN do that. I pay my usual amount and make an extra payment 2 weeks later. and then I pay my usual due date amount, with extra to continue to pay down the debt. 11/2020 due date i go to make a payment and it says my coverage is terminated.... I call again.... "yes sir you were misinformed on two different occasions" so i ask "can i have my coverage reinstated by paying my usual premium and continuing to pay down what i "owe" " they tell me that being that the events that led to this situation was the misinformation I was given they have to ask the "higher ups" and that they'll get back to me in 24-48 hours... a WEEK later I CALLED back looking for a response. they tell me they tried to contact me (No missed calls in my call log).. I'm told that I have to pay the full amount in order to get coverage reinstated... and that they can not offer me a payment plan or any kind of assistance. Now I have 2 days to come up with the money or risk losing access until next month. Did I mention I have to get COVID tested for my job and have medical appointments...

I WAS MAKING MY PAYMENTS BASED OFF THE INFORMATION THEY GAVE, AND THE WHOLE SEQUENCE OF EVENTS WAS MISINFORMATION AND ERROR AFTER ERROR ON THEIR BEHALF!!!

Thank you so much to Frank (southern accent). I was disconnected from the survey, but I had to address how wonderful he was when trying to figure out a MassHealth issue. He stayed on the line with me to try and get some answers and it was appreciated very much. 5 stars for sure. It was so nice to speak to someone who seemed like they actually wanted to help you.

I got three charges from Health Connector, one from a bank I haven't closed yet but I did delete if from the website, I got a thirty five dollar charge. I was suppose to hear from someone and have not heard anything. We are in the process of looking for an apartment and cannot afford to waste money I owed 286, they got $296 from chime and a $143 from Santander with a $35 fee. I go to the website and it still says $143 due March 23 but all that was die by March 23 $296. This happened before

I have called a total of eight times since I filed...

I have called a total of eight times since I filed my taxes in 2019. I was told each time that they were sending me my 1095. To this day I have still not gotten a copy of it it s ridiculous. And every person I have talk to you gave me their guarantee that it would be at my house in a couple of days. I didn t get my 2019 tax return due to them not sending my information.

This is absolutely the most incompetent organizati...

This is absolutely the most incompetent organization I have ever encountered. While I am 100% on board with a public health care system, the level of laziness that the employees at the Health Connector get away with is truly staggering.
I have been receiving "overdue" notices for six months, for a payment that was "returned". Despite providing bank records proving that the payment was not returned, and spending upwards of 20 hours on the phone trying to get the Health Connector to fix its own billing mistake, I was told over and over again that it wasn't possible. After 6 months of being hassled to pay an "overdue" fee that I paid on time, I ended up paying the $40 again just to shut them up.
Be prepared for an overwhelming degree of incompetence if you deal with the Health Connector. I'm talking 11+ envelopes in the mail if you change your plan, none of which show the correct plan. On another occasion I received a termination notice because they switched my plan to MassHealth automatically with no notification or approval from me. What a hassle.

The customer service reps are always very courteou...

The customer service reps are always very courteous and if they don t know the answer they put in effort to get it. When I call I ve gotten different answers when it s different reps which is confusing but I understand the world of customer service roles like that as I ve had one in the past. My issue and lack of stars is that I made a payment back in November for coverage to start in January and the money came out but I never got a card mailed in January. When I called they mentioned it was canceled and the system didn t show them why. I read into it and apparently lots of people have had issues with the MA Health Connector causing them to be unintentionally uninsured and that is NOT okay at all!! We need universal healthcare but that s not their fault, but being unintentionally uninsured can cause someone to incur uncontrollable debt or inhibit access to needed medications (neither happened to me). This place needs to fix whatever glitch in the system just cancels plans on people after the kind reps like you know it s all set (apparently all set ). They need to send a letter immediately and send a call and leave a voicemail if needed, informing those that their coverage was canceled and they must state a reason why. I think what happened with me was a mess where I had MA Health but didn t know it but I literally selected a Tufts Health Plan with a rep in November and the money for the first month (January) came out of my account. Only today did a learn it was refunded to my bank. This is not okay and the state government needs to be sure this place is running sufficiently, especially with all the job loss people are experiencing. Again, the reps have always been kind and trying to help! But someone or something behind the scenes is not working well at all and it s not okay. Please fix this.

There is a major lack of communication at that place and no one knows what they re doing or what their coworkers are doing. It s been mind boggling trying to figure out why my insurance was canceled when i have ZERO balance, was refunded money for overpayment and none of them could explain this to me. The place is infuriating, i ve spoken to at least 5 different reps in a week time span and NONE of them could solve my issue or reinstate my insurance. I had to cancel a very important doctors visit due to lack of coverage. I was transferred to a back office after being placed on hold for over an hour only to have the phone disconnected. It s the same cycle of endless customer service politeness but no one can fix anything. One of the reps eventually stated that i had a balance of $63.60 which was the cause for the insurance termination. The rep assured me that insurance will automatically be reinstated after payment and that I wouldn't have to call them back. I made the payment of $63.60 even though i didn t know what it was for, then called back a few days later - the rep stated 6 days must be allowed to process payment, I called back after suggested time and was told that i received the wrong information from the previous rep and that they could not reinstate my insurance unless there was a death in my family or something significant occurred. I was so confused about why the insurance was canceled to begin with and the rep was incapable of explaining . I could go on about my poor experience, till this day I am still without the coverage and so furious that I had to take a breather from calling. I don't usually take time to write reviews but that place needs to be shut down, they are playing with peoples lives, it s NOT OKAY!
