We attended a real estate seminar there and with over 200 people in the room it was not too cold not too hot and it was a very hot day outside, the food was very good and staff was very polite and personable.

This Marriot was by far the best one I have ever stayed at. The staff is really on top of everything and very kind. The bed was so comfortable. I would gladly stay here again.
I am a Marriott rewards member, we stay in a lot of different Marriotts per year. This Marriott is definitely one of the worst ever. I have stayed in other ones in the area and they were great. This one... STAY AWAY TERRIBLY!!!
Loud! All Night you can hear the door slam me throughout the hotel hallway. Inside the room the smoke detector flashes super bright green lights throughout the night.
The pool area is dirt the spa has low water level and was not clean. The fire pit was not working.
OVER CHARGED! They double charged me for bar and kitchen food. They individually charged my card then also charged as a whole on my check out invoice. Could not explain were my deposits credit was from reserving the room months ago. Staff said we would have to speak with the manager. Although they didn't know what time the manager would be in.
My daughter and I stayed here during the Pleasanton Rage College Showcase soccer tournament. We stayed Friday and Saturday nights in a concierge level room (6th floor). The room was clean and had plenty of space. We had an extra player stay with us, so had a cot brought it that just fit. The location to the fields at Val Vista, Sports Park and Fallon Park was idea. Shopping and plenty of restaurants in the area made it easy to find things to do in our down time. While we didn't use the pool, it did seem to be very popular and well appointed. We had a great breakfast and enjoyed their fresh omelette bar the most.
On the down side, our room's A/C did not work at all during the last night of our stay. The hallway was easily 80 degrees during the day and while they seemed to fix that, the repair didn't extend to our room. They had only one ice machine for the entire hotel, and it was empty by noon. Weekend breakfast and coffee service doesn't begin until 7:00 which was quite late for all the families who had to be at their fields by then.
Booked this pl for 4 nights with free internet and free complimentary breakfast When got there the front desk said that I had to pay for both rooms are ok, no microwave
Stayed at the property for a wedding. The staff were really nice, enjoyed the woman who checked us is unfortunately didn't catch her name. The ops manager was very helpful "lauren cieslewicz" I needed a color copy of a map and she was able to assist me with that. Was sad to hear the bar and outdoor patio closes early, as we returned to the hotel after the wedding. Understandable since its a business area so we weren't butt hurt about it.
Update: Management at this hotel contacted me and followed up with my feedback. They assured me that rewards members should receive appropriate benefits and compensated me with rewards points for the error. It seems the customer service error was isolated. In sum, given that the room rate is affordable, the establishment is renovated (albeit walls still thin), and room size is average, I would still highly consider returning here if I am need a stay in the Pleasanton area.
--------- Average Marriott establishment. Rooms are renovated, clean, and modern. Price is affordable ($90 wedding rate). The walls are thin as expected from an older hotel. The room size is decent. The overnight staff that checked me in did not provide me the Marriott Rewards benefits that I usually receive with gold status. I provided this feedback to the day staff and the manager, but I have yet to hear back.
Stayed here for business. The location is very convenient. Less than 5 minute walk to the local mall with restaurants, and there's a Target in the other direction.
The hotel is a bit old itself with some clunky elevators and all or nothing climate controls but the staff is extremely helpful and eager. You get free water and apples. In the room there's a mini fridge, coffee maker, iron and hair dryer but no microwave.
Also the shuttle is first come first serve and I found a hefty line Monday morning at 8am. So the walkability was definitely important.
I was staying at this hotel and I asked for a taxi cab so they called me a taxi to go to Oakland airport. American Cab charged me 85$ for a trip to Oakland airport but I found out they charged more because it should have been about 50$. You guys should not use this taxi company and I will not be staying here again.
One of the worst Marriott I have ever stayed. First of all, I was staying there to attend a wedding. A group of us checked in and requested a joining room. One of the joining rooms was not ready, but was told that we will be able to check into the room later on. Since it was for a wedding preparation, it was important that we have the rooms togethet and the front desk staff was aware of the importance as well. When we came back from rehearsal, the front desk told me that the other room was given away to someone else. And that they can do nothing else. Long story short, it was the worst experience ever.
MARRIOTT TRADITION-safe environment, comfortable and clean accommodations, REASONABLE rate, excellent breakfast, quality all around, and service with a smile! CON: Need more food selections.
I have been coming to the Pleasanton Marriott at least once a year for the past 5 years. This has hands down been the best Marriott I have stayed at. The rooms are similar to any other Marriott, but what separates this Marriott from others is the service. The staff is always polite, frienfly, smiling, with a great can do attitude! Always a great experience Try it.
It's very nice and peaceful here. We needed a night away and this is the most relaxing place to have one. It's clean and the front desk is extremely good. I also was picked as guess of the day. Which I didn't know they had for us reward members. It was a pleasant surprise. Definitely coming back
Nice hotel and a good breakfast selection Shuttle bus service will take you anywhere within a 3 mile radius and pick you up again Once you have been to one Marriot, you've been to them all
The rooms and bathrooms are very nice, as well as the common area and bar. The hotel looks kind of bland and boring on the outside but the interior has a nice luxurious feel to it. The pool area is excellent and the service is good. This is a beautiful area and i very much enjoyed my stay.
best breakfast buffet ever! we also liked the pool area and hot tub, though a bit crowded and low on towel supply. rooms are clean, large flatscreen TV with Netflix! a bit noisy in the morning (doors don't block hallway noise)
Karmela is simply amazing, so hospitable and kind...the entire staff had such a warm inviting attitude...it makes all the difference! The room was pretty typical but the floor to ceiling windows definitely added a touch of luxury...was so nice to wake up to the sunrise over the mountains from bed! Thanks for such a nice stay!!
What one would expect from a Marriott. The hotel had a peaceful and inviting environment, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel offers a convenient shuttle service. Would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to the Pleasanton CA area.
Well run, friendly staff but the first stay a month ago was much more pleasant. They seemed a little rushed this second time. Heard the staff give a run down of all the amenities to other guests but I received no such pleasure. Wish I had known about the pool and gym also I explained I've stayed at the Marriott twice in Pleasanton and once in NV but yet not one associate has offered me to join there rewards program like my Hilton rewards. Ohh well... May try another all cash hotel in the area in the future for comparison as I don't like using my card for weekend stays.
Nice Hotel...Perfect Location near freeway, shopping, and dining. Good customer service from staff. Lobby and Bar area are nice to relax and have a drink. Dont forget the Nachos. You wont be disappointed.
This was a really nice stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the hotel was very clean and smelled wonderful, our room was immaculate, and the location was convenient. Definitely would stay again!
Ok hotel. It is very expensive giving it's location, and even though it calls itself a 4 star hotel, it clearly is not. I stayed in a much nicer 3 star the next week for instance! The rooms are ok and standard, but the facilities are not great. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were not cleaned and full of dirt and leaves. The fitness center is very small but functional, and the WiFi may not be free depending on your package (which should be standard). The premium lounge was not nearly worth the money, and the free food nibbles there were not nice. You also need to pay for the wine in there which considering the cost of this special room access, should give you at least 1 or 2 glasses free. The beds were average and overall this is nowhere near a 4 star hotel. The place is a little drab and dated looking. I'd save some money and go to a nicer 3 star hotel the next time I'm there.
Very nice hotel. Clean grounds and clean room. Had a few drinks in the bar and then ate dinner in there... it was very good. We had the beet salad and the chefs special fried Chicken sandwich. I recommend both very highly!
Came here for a wedding at Wente Vineyards, we had an imbeccable experience. There was a welcome dinner on Friday night that was hosted in one of the hotel ballrooms. The food, bar (wine and beer only), and service were all excellent. The room was very comfortable, the bed and shower we're especially luxurious. Nothing bad to report.
The staff super helpful nice and friendly. They get 5 stars. The place needs some tlc. Sink backed up and cracked. Elevators are an adventure. Beds way too soft. The amenities are bare bones and the furniture is starting to get beat up.
Conveniently located in Pleasanton little away from a large shopping center and the Bart station. Nice bar and decent restaurant for the evening meal in case you don't want to leave the hotel.
