Update: Management at this hotel contacted me and followed up with my feedback. They assured me that rewards members should receive appropriate benefits and compensated me with rewards points for the error. It seems the customer service error was isolated. In sum, given that the room rate is affordable, the establishment is renovated (albeit walls still thin), and room size is average, I would still highly consider returning here if I am need a stay in the Pleasanton area.

Average Marriott establishment. Rooms are renovated, clean, and modern. Price is affordable ($90 wedding rate). The walls are thin as expected from an older hotel. The room size is decent. The overnight staff that checked me in did not provide me the Marriott Rewards benefits that I usually receive with gold status. I provided this feedback to the day staff and the manager, but I have yet to hear back.
